I'm not sure how long it has been, but signs around here are advertising that it is under new management. I went in on Sunday and it was relatively slow (there was one other table when we came in, and one other table as we were eating; another group came in after we left). The slowness was no indication of the food/service though! We ordered the Tom Yum soup (vegetarian style), the Pad Thai (vegetarian) and the Sticky Mango Rice. Let me just say - my expectations were exceeded based on the Yelp reviews! I wanted to try this place because it has so many vegetarian options and it did not disappoint. The soup was very flavorful and it comes presented beautifully with a pot that keeps it warm. The Pad Thai was a little 'soupy' if you will, although it may be because we added vegetables instead of just sticking with the fried tofu (we plan to go again and not add other vegetables than it comes with). Despite that, the flavor was still pretty good. The Sticky Mango Rice was delicious - I'm not sure if mango is really in season but it was definitely flavorful. I usually prefer the coconut aspect to be more of a cream than liquid, but it was not watered down and definitely flavorful. The service was exceptional! Our waitress was very attentive. We were given a small salad each to start with (no extra charge) and our waters were kept full. We were asked if we wanted each item brought out separately (ie. soup, entree, dessert) which we opted for and the timing between each course was great! The next item in line was never cold - it was obvious they made each item when we wanted it served instead of all at once and bringing them out at different times. Come give this place a try - I don't think you'll be disappointed (at least in their vegetarian offerings). Ps. They have a tv and had football playing...that's pretty legit :)

The owner contacted me and offered to refund my money. She didn't have to offer to this but the fact that she did shows me she is serious about her business. I won't let her refund my money but since she was so cool I will definitely try this place again (dine in) just to be fair. Interestingly, I did receive some hate mail for my review. I'm guessing it was some employees. It was very entertaining for me.

I am from Thailand. My husband and I decided to try this place out for lunch. We got the drunken noodles and we were so disappointed. The flavor was sweet and not tasty at all. This is NOT a real Thai restaurant whatsoever. I suggest not to go here at all. If you are wanting REAL Thai food in Boise, go to Thai Cuisine off overland Rd

Very good! I've gotten delivery a few times and I think its by far the best Panang I've had in a long time. Not too expensive at all. The crab rangoon is also delicious! They're stuffed generously and not overly cheesy. Its a great balance of crab and cheese. Its very difficult to find good crab rangoon - if any at all. The chicken satay is also delicious. The peanut sauce it comes with isn't too sweet and has just the right amount of kick to it. Their delivery is always much faster than the time they quote me and everything comes exactly as I ordered it. My only complaint would be that they occasionally don't have delivery available. I've called a few times at about 6 PM and their delivery driver had already gone home for the day so I couldn't order. I wish they had more regular, dependable delivery hours. Other than that, I'm likely to become a regular for them.

I have eaten here on two different occasions . Both times I left feeling disappointed . The service was nice but the food is lacking in flavor . On one occasion I had the red curry( a Thai favorite of mine) with chicken as the meat. The chicken had no flavor at all. Every thing was just, a disappointing version of the real deal. The service was nice time. Nice/fancy atmosphere but the food just didn't taste as great.

Pretty damn good. I got the green curry and fried rice. Both were excellent. Clean, good looking place.

Food was delicious! The best Pad Kee Mao and thai egg rolls I've tasted since living in Chicago and New York. The food is definitely legit here. The thing that kills this place is that the prices are as high or higher than some places in Chicago and New York. They also need to establish themselves as an authentic Thai restaurant. I know they're trying to push an upscale market feel, but then Thai food in general is rarely perceived as ritzy upscale. Tone down the posh with some cultural decor, cut prices by a couple dollars per entree, and by golly, have an option for a small bowl of Tom Yom soup!

Had the crab rangoon appetizer, which I have never had before and they were very good. For dinner, I had the Pad Eee Eew with chicken. Got it Hot (NOT Thai hot, thank goodness). I love hot food, and the Hot was just right. Noodles were great, the brocolli was fresh and crispy and cooked perfectly.

I haven't had good Pad Thai in two years (since living in Chicago). Needless to say I was glad to finally find a place I liked. The egg rolls are delicious! My only complaint is price. Although it is a very nice place, I feel lowering the price by a buck or two would really draw more people in. They do serve a good amount, but I still find it tough to spend $11 on a plate of noodles I got in a big city for only $7-8. I guess it's worth it.

I have been there twice and my husband and I both think the food is really good. It is different than our 2 fav Thai places in town ( Pad Thai House and Chiang) but different in a good way. The prices are a tad steep especially compared 2 my 2 favs. But because of the prices being higher I went both times with the restaurant.com coupons. I used one in Feb and bought another last Wednesday because one of the restaurants I had one for closed. The first time I used it was fine but the second there was an issue. I told the waitress I had the coupon right when I sat down before ordering and she said "ok" so when I got the check I went to give it to her but all of a sudden she comes out and says they don't take them anymore because they don't make any money on it. Well you should just be happy people are coming in to your restaurant and trying the food and maybe they will write a good review or tell their friends about it. I was pissed and told her that I told her about it at the beginning. Finally after some persuading she said she could honor it. She also said that they can't get restaurant.com to remove their company from the site which I don't buy. Call and talk to a manager and demand that they take it off. I got green curry and I got it between hot and Thai hot and it was pretty hot. I would say that it would be a 5 star on the hot scale at Pad Thai or Chiang. It was good and had lots of fish sauce which for me I do not mind. My husband got Rad Nah and said it was really good as well. The Chicken Satay was excellent as well and we thought their Thai ice tea was the best we have had. Even thought I am happy that they did end up taking the coupon. I am annoyed at the situation and how it seemed like it was almost my problem they don't make money on the coupon. They have to make something even just on the tip.

Dinner was quiet affair, only 2 other tables in were occupied. We were off to a bad start with ice water that still tasted of bleach and I became a little worried about what might come next. To our delight what came was a delicious meal. The pad thai was great. It included chicken, shrimp, and tofu and was not too sweet. The curry was just the right level of spice - you can customize from mild to insane and we went with medium to please everyone's palates. It was still kicky enough to be really enjoyable. Egg rolls were pretty standard, not spectacular but nothing special. The staff was very helpful and when the server brought us our boxed up our leftovers she told us she had included extra rice and sauce. Nice touches like this at a non-chain place mean we'll be back.

This is the best Thai food I've had in Boise. In Seattle or Portland, it would be 4/5, but by Boise standards, it's the best there is.

I've only eaten there once, but I will definitely go back. I had the #1 on the lunch menu, with shrimp, (sorry, I can't remember what it's called) and I'm still dreaming of the taste. The veggies and shrimp were fresh and perfectly prepared. The service was just right and the interior was a surprising contrast to the strip mall outside. Cool, soothing decor and tilted shades on the windows so that neither of us had to face the glare of daylight. Per person, it was just short of $10 including beverage, and some people may think that's high, but it's well worth it.

I went there based on the hotel's employee recommendation on my first business trip to Boise, I was the first and only customer, but have to wait for a while to get service, once I ordered the General Egg Noodles, which was a pleasant surprise to see this dish on their chef's special menu, it waited longer than usual since there was no other order ahead of me. After tasted the dry noodles, I was happy with the taste but was disappointed with the amount of meat was lacking, there was only fat skin of duck (not much meat at all), and a bit of minced chicken and 2 shrimps, the rest just full of egg noodles, some weren't fully cooked. For the $13 price, I'd expect some decent amount of meat other than noodles. After all, I wouldn't recommended or return to this restaurant.

At first I was a little confused by A Taste of Thai. It is located in a little strip mall which led me to believe it would be like some of the Dive Vietnamese places around town where I could get some cheap barely authentic food. Once inside I realized I was not in a Dive. It is clean and well decorated with modern music playing (could have done without that.) It was dinner and I ordered a curry with soup. Still not sure what to expect from this place my hopes for a good dinner were shattered when the waiter brought a very typical americanized egg flower soup just slightly pimped-out with cubed tofu. I thought "oh great! Another stereotypical American Asian place." But I was wrong, the curry was AMAZING. Very well balanced. I haven't had Thai that good since I was in Bangkok years ago. Taste of Thai isn't quite as authentic as a road side Pad Thai vendor in Bangkok but it is really close considering we are in Boise Idaho. I will go back to try some more of what they have to offer

A Taste of Thai is very close to my office, so it's become a regular lunch spot when I fail to pack something. I usually call ahead and order to-go, but have dined here once or twice. I almost always get the Chicken Pad Thai. Normally, they add in tofu as a "filler" (I assume), but on my last visit (yesterday) that wasn't the case. I'm not sure if it's a permanent change or not, but I sure hope so! I'm not a fan of spice, so the flavor of the pad thai is perfect for me. The service is always great, whether it's dine-in or take-out. The employees are friendly and helpful.

The worst Thai food I have ever had the displeasure of eating. Bland, cold, mushy and overall disgusting. I got the Tom Kha soup, more like Tom Yuk :/ and my roommate got the 'Not So' crispy chicken pad Thai. If that wasn't so bad, when I phoned in the order the person who answered had no idea about any of the foods I had questions about, like how many spring rolls came in the appetizers Fresh Spring Rolls (which were disgusting and bland), he had to get off the phone for 2 minutes to find out. And when I asked for the Tom Kha he asked what that was and I had to explain to HIM that it was a soup. If standards of this restaurant don't improve it will go out of business.

My friends and I visited her for dinner after a really big test, we love thai cuisine. We were the only ones in the restaurant. The atmosphere ass really nice. I ordered the cashew nut chicken no cashews with a 4 spice level. My friends ordered the red and yellow curry. The food presentation was lovely. The cashew nut was really good. My only comment was that it was too spicy. I love spicy food but that level 4 would be considered a 5 in other restaurants. My friends also complained that their food was too spicy and they had level 3. I ended up sending mine back and they tired to water it down. It tasted alright. We had plenty left overs. I really liked my meal I think next time I would have to order with a lower spice level.

My wife and I went to A Taste of Thai for lunch on Monday. We were quite impressed right from the moment we walked in. The place is very clean and nicely decorated, I had the Drunken Noodle lunch (all lunches are $7.95) with pork, prepared Hot, and an egg drop-like soup. It was absolutely fabulous and everything tasted very fresh. My wife had the Tempura appetizer with shrimp ($14.95). It was easily enough food for two people. It came with a house salad, which featured a vinegarette-mayo dressing that she couldn't stop raving about. Service was excellent. We will definitely return soon.

Pad see ew was ok but lacking in spice. Tom kha was extremely bland- just tasted like coconut milk. Beyond that, it was expensive for what you get! Service was great and the guy was really friendly, and atmosphere seemed nice though we got takeout.
