Best burgers in Iowa! Great service! Super friendly! We love you Emma Jeans! We were traveling from Oregon to Pennsylvania and they really hit the spot!

If you are traveling I-80 through Iowa, do NOT pass this by! At the Walnut, Ia exit, next to a McDonald's, is this amazing little diner! The service is efficient and friendly, but the food is beyond delicious! Picture eating the best roast beef dinner your grandmother ever made, and this is it! Homemade, tender and absolutely fabulous! And even the half portions are generous!

Service was great and the French dip I had was awesome. The au jus was sooooo good!! We will be stopping again on our way home in a few days. Highly recommended.

Very average food experience as well as their service. Small portions. We left the place feeling hungry.

It is middle of nowhere and we got two choices: Mcdonalds or Emma Jeans. We are glad that we chose this one because the food is really good. I ordered Stand By for breakfast. I really like the sausage and hash brown. The coffee is pretty good too. It is a family restaurant: one is serving and another lady is cooking in the kitchen. Worthy a try on your way!

It's a diner in all its glory with friendly service, clean facilities, and decent food. I had the BLT with homemade chili. Both were great. Next time I'll get the chili and pour it over some fries :-) . The hubby had a French dip. The beef was nice and flavorful (of course I sneaked a bite), but since it was chopped, it was a little hard for him to dip. I don't think he minded too much though. We both highly recommend stopping here if you're making the long trek through Iowa. Also it appears to be locally owned and operated. Finally, I always love a place willing to give a to-go cup for coffee.

Great food and clean and modern place. Only complaint was the service is slow and they weren't busy.

Surprisingly really great testing food! This place is middle of nowhere, all around you is nothing much farm land, and we happen to stop by for some gas and decided to check it out, and what a treat it was.

I was staying at the Super 8 behind this restaurant. I decided to try this local eatery because it was so convenient. I got a plentiful dinner platter for a very affordable price. It was clean and the service was good. Only small issue was my steak was slightly over what I wanted it be cooked but it was still good. I would try again if I was going somewhere in the area. It is very close to I-80.
