I am a huge fan of breakfast, it's my favorite. Ruby Tuesdays brunch has all the best breakfast foods at their brunch buffet, I'm talking waffles, french toast, build a parfait station, pastries, the list goes on. They used to make mango tea with real mango chunks in it and it rocked my world, but they quit making it that way. :( They still offer mango tea and it's still good, but not rock my world good anymore. You should absolutely try brunch here!

Food is good, but over priced, that is why they give out so many coupons, and I won't eat at Ruby Tuesday without one, the salad bar is good, not a lot to choose from, but that's OK, service is very slow sometimes, two times it took someone a very long time to wait on me, I had to ask another person who had my table, and some portion are not very big, so eat a lot of salad to make up for it!!

I honestly wasn't sure what rating to give Ruby Tuesday. The food is good but some of the wait staff undermines that to the point that it ruins the experience for me. Getting waited on initially was slow, drinks delivered were slow, refills were pretty much non existent, getting food was slow. My drink was mostly ice so was gone in no time, even before food was ordered. She said she'd bring a refill and that was another 5-10 minutes. Again, all ice so gone right away. After I mentioned it on the bill, I got a refill AFTER I paid and was ready to leave. Soda is too costly and not worth ordering if refills don't keep coming. To top this experience off, there was a group of ladies playing cards and they complained to the hostess for seating us in the same area!!

I think the trick is to NOT arrive at 9 pm on a Sunday night. The garden bar was looking pretty disheveled, the lettuce, a little forlorn. We were dying for some vegetables after a two-day road trip and lots of fast food. We ate that dubious looking salad with gusto...and three hours later had what sure felt like a mild (but significant) case of food poisoning). Not like the the time I accidentally ate the raw meat dish in Ethiopia, but nevertheless Very unpleasant. The children, who didn't eat the veggies, were fine. The rest of the food also seemed a little tired. The staff, polite enough, but tired. My bet is that if you arrive before the dinner rush or at lunch time rather than an hour before closing, you're fine, but I can't make a recommendation based on our experience.

The garden bar is definitely the highlight of most Ruby Tuesdays and this particular location was no exception. The vegetables taste fresh and crisp and there is a nice variety of both "build your own" salad items as well as prepared salads. The ambiance has changed since my last visit to a Ruby Tuesday--the tongs now hang on a hook by each item which is very appealing to the eye. Service was friendly and our server ensured drinks were full and that we were enjoying our food. I had the "smokehouse burger" and it was nothing to write home about. The bun had fallen apart and the cheese was not melted properly on the sandwich. I'd go for lunch and stick with the salad bar and possibly pass on the entrees, which seem to see consistent turnover.

Stopped here for lunch on our way north. We were seated quickly and everything went smoothly. The restaurant had a good lunch crowd and service was fine. The food was good and served in a timely manner. I had the salad bar which I like at Ruby Tuesday and it was good. The ingredients were well stocked and fresh. No complaints about anything. I'm a fan.

I love Ruby Tuesday. The one at this location has the best salad bar ever! They have lighter options that taste great and their nutritional stats are on their website for planning ahead. The staff here is always friendly. I have never been disappointed.

Solid establishment and eatery. Within walking distance from the Holiday Inn Express down the street. I ordered the fried green beans and the trio of sides. Everything came out promptly. The server (Lyndse or Lyndsey) was attentive and courteous. Prices are average compared to Chili's or Applebee's. Salad bar is nothing to brag about, though salad bars are boring by definition. Would definitely return if in the area.

First time at a Ruby Tuesdays. Met up with my wife's brother and his wife on April 24th. They picked the place. I had the ribs. Mix and match. Wife had half a rack of ribs. EXCELLENT!!! The waitress, sorry don't remember her name was excellent. The only complaint was the music was to loud and had a hard time understanding what my brother-in-law was saying.

Bland, poor food presentation. My parents treated me to lunch today, a lovely gesture. However, the food was not so lovely. I had the fried popcorn shrimp with grilled zucchini and the salad bar. The shrimp tasted like unseasoned fried breading and nothing else. Zucchini was fine. My parents meals were mediocre. It took almost 10 minutes for someone to seat us but then the waiter was right there and very attentive. This is my 3rd try at Ruby Tuesdays and all three times I left still hungry because I couldn't finish the meal. Had it not been for the good salad bar and waiter my review would be less than zero! The menu is HUGE with about 70 items available. If they get a new chef I would be willing to try it again but I won't hold my breath.

I was just informed that corporate policy doesn't permit substitution of soup for fries with my sandwich - and apparently no substitutions whatsoever. I can only assume then that the kitchen is simply reheating frozen prepackaged meals since if they were actually cooking then substitutions would be no problem. I guess that's what I get for going to a chain instead of local, At least the bartender was nice and made me a customized drink!

Hopeless service every time I have been there Take atleast half an hour to get the food. Today they got a wrong order and not a bit apologetic when asked to change then my group had finished the meal in abt half an hour and ready to leave. I asked the server to cancel my order. Now another server comes with food after 5 mins and says take it I told him I had cancelled for which he said well it's already made so why not take Togo ($18 for a food after 1 hour wait and then Togo??) I said not needed. Now he shows his attitude and says so I should throw this in garbage now?? Wow attitude!!! His colleague made mistake and threw first order to garbage instead of apologizing they are trying to make me feel guilt for their mistakes!!! What a ridiculous staff!!!!

I have been here a few times and have been surprisingly satisfied each time. To start, they give you tiny little biscuits that are not as flaky or flavorful as Red Lobster's biscuits, but still fine. The salad bar is fresh and has mixed greens and spinach options as well as your ho-hum iceberg lettuce. It is really a meal in itself, once you pile on chopped hard-boiled eggs, ham, bacon bits and cheese! I love that they have chopped zucchini and sunflower seeds too! Their burgers are great - nothing particularly special, but tasty. On my last visit, I ordered chicken that was supposed to come with a parmesan cream sauce and I asked the server if there was flour in the sauce. She promptly went and asked the cook, who said "yes", and so I asked if I could just have a piece of cheese melted on top. She said, "sure!". Love the flexibility and attitude! The chicken was tender and moist - impressed! FYI - they make their own mayo, and it is amazefest. I put that sh!t on everything when I come here; it's delish! My service has always been attentive and accurate. This place has been consistently great. :)

Ate here with the family this weekend. We were craving a soup plantation meal but unfortunately the salad/vegetarian scene isn't very lively here in the midwest....but I digress I must say that the salad bar here at this Ruby Tuesday's is top notch. The greens were fresh and crisp and the workers continually cleaned up and replenished the bar. Edamame and peas were crisp lots of all your standard salad bar fare but fresh. I love the Ruby Tuesday's croutons (are they rye?) not sure but yum. WARNING....they have some VERY crisp bacon at the salad bar. Don't get me wrong I love crisp bacon, but this bacon was almost crystallized. I think that they cooked the bacon then put it on ice directly which created a kind of bacon lollipop rock candy....sounds good right? Not when you bite into it with your front tooth...my wife almost chipped hers. The rest of the food was okay....definitely a cut above applebees but not much. At least they actually made their food onsite which is definitely more than I can say for applebees. It is priced about the same as applebees but the food quality is definitely better. I had the sliders and salad bar combo which in my opinion is a great option as I am quite full after my first trip through the salad bar. We had a great server who hooked us up with lots of cheddar biscuits....YUM... WIll come back again but probably with a coupon.

This restaurant was by far the worst restaurant ever. Service was very slow, drinks were not good at all, and there food made me want to throw up. Not to mention that they just copy-catted Applebee's except Applebee's is good. I'm never going there again!

To begin this experience was really bad, which was surprising since other visits have been good to great. Bottom line: the service was horrendous from the management, waitress and hostess. (1) As we were at the salad bar, we could hear the manager demanding all types of food items from the kitchen. This was very unprofessional and set the tone for things to come. Manager note: you shouldn't let the guests hear that there are kitchen issues. (2) Approximately 15 minutes later, our waitress began bringing food items to our table that were not ours. The first time this happened, we thought nothing of it. The second time, the food was for the table next to us even though they didn't order until 15 minutes after us. Our food came ~55 minutes after we had ordered. (3) Overall the food wasn't bad except for the baked potato that looked like it had been from the night before, completely dried out. I mentioned it to the waitress, she agreed that it didn't look good and then asked us if we wanted more to drink. No offer to replace it or get something else. Did she even hear the potato was rock hard. Absolutely ridiculous. (5) On the way out the manager was no where to be found, we told the hostess about the experience and she asked for the name of the waitress and then said sorry And that's it. RUBY TUESDAY GET YOUR SERVICE TOGETHER ---- People might be more understanding if you would just treat them with respect and offer to make a wrong, right.

I really want to like Ruby Tuesday. I really do. They are a bit of home (they're ubiquitous in Atlanta) for me, and I was excited to hear that a former favorite was coming to Des Moines. I didn't have much trouble convincing my wife to go here, as I told her that the salad bar was a signature feature. She was sold. And it is a very good salad bar, I must say. Well stocked, good variety. But don't order a freaking steak here! Yesterday (second visit) I ordered a ribeye, rare (which I have learned to do at chain restaurants - order one step below your normal, because they will almost always overcook it). Half of the steak was done correctly, but the cut was so uneven that half of it was well done (steak was probably an inch thick on one end, but only a 1/3 " thick on the other end). I didn't make a fuss about it (though perhaps I should have), but this was a terrible cut of meat. And there's something about the seasonings that were used; they would have been much better off just using some fresh cracked pepper and kosher salt, and let the meat speak for itself (well, the meat had a bit of a lisp, I'm afraid). We dined here once before, and I got a burger (Triple Prime Bacon Cheddar Burger). It was very good. It came out at the correct doneness. Fries were good, though I would prefer just salt instead of the seasoning blend that was used (maybe the same as what came on the steak - let good ingredients speak for themselves! or are you chicken?). The steamed broccoli that came as a side on the steak, however, they did try to let stand on its own. I am of the humble opinion that steaming is the worst thing that you can do to a noble vegetable, though some vegetables should be excluded from that judgment. Broccoli is a good example. I would have been better off eating my napkin. Order the burgers. Order the fries. Stay away from the steak, and the brocolli. Maybe pasta is good there. I couldn't say.
