Went here for Sunday brunch with a friend. We walked in and the place was very empty for brunch. Our waiter didn't really explain to us what they had for brunch. We walked around having to find the food ourselves. It's a very weird set up and the food is very spread out. We had to look around for all the different stations and at the end of our meal we realized we missed the waffle station! The prime rib and fried chicken were good, but don't know if this would be my first choice again for brunch. Maybe their dinner menu is better.

This place sucked! Service was very slow and rude. They messed up our orders and the steaks were cold when served. Took about 2 hours just to get our appetizers. Never again will I be going to this place. Wish I can give them zero stars.

Fried chicken was amazing. 5/5 Cheese cake was 5/5 Pizzas were 1/10 as the texture was off. Fried cheese sticks were quite good. Fried ravioli were 3/5 Margaritas and other drinks were all top notch. Servers were fun and professional I disliked seeing all the servers fold silverware, the hostess texting people, and the waiters calling last call 1 hour before closing... The ambiance was nice enough... Interesting to see open kitchen and having to walk through it.. That being said if you have open kitchen try to keep the floor clean. Maybe the hostess can help clean it instead if sitting there texting Combing it all, I would go back and have their chicken

I wish I could give ZERO stars. Mama Lacona's is the shittiest excuse for an Italian restaurant that I have ever had the displeasure of tasting. I wish we would've ordered the sad excuse, fast-food chain Fazoli's instead. At least then I would've been able to ingest the food placed in front of me verses regurgitating the first and only bite of my meatball sub back onto my plate. I'll start with their so-called fresh bread. I've had fresh bread, I've made fresh bread, and I've even had two-day old bread that claimed to be fresh. This bread was none of those. Mama Lacona's sub sandwich bread tasted as though it was frozen, thawed, frozen, thawed, and then attempted to be warmed up. I know what that kind of bread tastes like because I've been a poor college student trying to survive on the only thing I could afford: day old loaves from Jimmy John's. This bread would make any baker stick his head in the oven before he would even think of sharing this with the homeless. Now, when ordering a meatball sub, one would assume this sandwich would be delivered hot with melty, gooey cheese. You know what is said about those who assume. This cheese, an embarrassment to be called Mozzarella, was only melty where the meatballs sat on it. The cold, hard edges of the cheese only deadened the cold, hard edges of my heart. I weep for whomever has to endure this atrocity next and I haven't even gotten to the sauce and meat portion of the show. Next up, the sauce. Jesus fucking Christ, the sauce. I've had better tasting sauce come in a can of Spaghetti-o's (and that's quality Italian, right there). You want to know what's worse than Mama Lacona's meat sauce? NOTHING. I'd rather have semen as my sauce. At least that has a nutritional value for as shitty as it tastes. And for my next trick, I'll discuss the worst part of the entire fucking sandwich: THE "MEATBALLS". The abominations of the word that came on this sub were the farthest thing from what the name states. I have literally had better tasting meat from a drunken, small-penised, rendezvous than what was on that sub. This "meat" was a flavorless, chewy ball of disappointment. These "meatballs" would have made my Italian grandmother, God rest her soul, lose faith in all of humanity. Literally the most disgusting thing I've ever had in my mouth, and I've had a lot of gross things in there. Needless to say, I would rather eat a raw dick than ever have to endure the disgrace that is Mama Lacona's.

I really enjoy their Friday lunch buffet ,you have choices of salads, fried chicken, pizza, lasagna and pasta with different sauces and so much more ! and for dessert, they have slices of pies, cakes and cookies . The Sunday Brunch buffet is awesome too, I love the bread pudding ,they are so delicious !

This restaurant is close to my work so we thought we'd try it out for lunch. I was not sure what to expect especially since the old location had terrible reviews. The restaurant has nice decor (I think the painted walls are left from the previous establishment in this location) and the atmosphere is nice. Their lunch menu has plenty to choose from. They bring out two kinds of warm breads to enjoy and they are tasty! I found their prices to be high for lunch. I went with one of the cheaper options, the lunch combo. I had Minestrone soup and Chicken Far Diavolo. Both were ok but nothing great. Service wise, I don't have much to say. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I truly don't think I will frequent this restaurant.

Took a party on 9 for lunch on 11-8-12. Food was pretty tasty and service was excellent - drinks and water refilled without asking. I was honesty shocked to see the 1.5 rating on Yelp. This was my first visit and I thought the place was decent.

This place is ridiculous. Went here for lunch and the food was good. The service was horrible. I will never go there again. It took 1 1/2 hours for some pasta and a sandwich. Really? How hard is it?

Probably one of the worst places I've ever been in my entire life. I ate there months ago and the thought of having to endure a meal there again, makes me squimish. It seems to me, Italian food is pretty easy to make (or at least hard to F-up), but this place has it all wrong. Bad food Bad service Bad atmosphere Bad experience the list could go on and on. All the elderly people hanging out there must like it cause it makes them crap good.

Terrible service. Was in a party of 4 adults and 3 children. We promptly showed up for our reservation, and they hadn't even bothered preparing a table for us. We had to assist in setting it up ourselves. Service was horribly slow. It appeared the server had more tables in her section than she could handle. It was next to impossible to get prompt drink refills, she got our orders wrong and overcharged us. Honestly, the menu isn't that exciting, the food is just okay and the portions are ridiculously small for the prices. I don't think we'll go back.

Chicken Saltimbocca was excellent - seriously, order it. Bar was slow - sat down to have a drink before our table was ready and the bartender never even said hi let alone get us a drink in the 10 minutes we waited. Bus boy wiping tables just kind of wiped around stuff rather than move it and clean the whole table. A+ for food, otherwise C+ for whole experience.

Hit or miss with the service here. Had excellent service from a very chipper Tracy once, and the next visit the service was horrible. We walked in and stood there for a few minutes while 10 unhappy looking employees walked past us... Not one smile, no hello, nothing. Our server, an older man named Lonnie is the worst server I have ever had. Very rude. We waited for 20 minutes before he took our order and when I mentioned it, he pretended to not hear me, I asked if he heard me, and he said yes and walked away. No apology or anything. His service was very poor and he seemed to not even want to be there. On this night, the restaurant was not busy at all, so there is no excuse. I am a corporate trainer for restaurants where I train waitstaff all over the country...The food is good...The fish and chips are awesome!! But, we will never come back. And we will never recommend this place again.

Went for a quick dinner, tried the Spaghetti and meatballs....Was very pleased with how fast the food came out. The meal was good, they make a good spaghetti and meatball, would like to try more dishes to see how the other food holds up. But based on my one experience, I would say this place is worth a try and I would return.

My wife and I had a coupon for this restaurant, so we thought we'd give it a try! It was a very good experience overall. My wife loves hot tea, and they brought out a huge box full of 15+ tea bags to choose from. The service was quick and efficient, even with a full dining room. We beat the rush to sit, so we didn't have to wait. Atmosphere can depend on where you sit. We sat on the edge of the round wall opposite the bar, and right on the other side of that wall was another table. I felt like we were joining strangers for dinner. Great food and a decent price made for a nice date night with my wife.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
