The food was well prepared and the service was excellent. This is one of our favorite spots to take the entire family. The food is consistent and therefore you always know what to expect. The hot rolls and butter are always a big hit, and the servers keep them coming. My only complaint is that it is a little crowded, however it is a chain resturant and getting people in and out is key to the business. I really like the call ahead seating feature. I have used this several times. Additionally, we sometimes call in for take-out.

The absolute worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. We sat there for literally a half hour before I had to get up to tell a manager we don't have drinks. Then nobody bothered to bring us bread or peanuts. Which is a traditional thing. Then the food took almost an hour to be served to us, and my steak was like steak flavored bubble gum. So when we told the manager about the horrible service she knocked 10 bucks off my tab, but nobody else's! Then when we discussed that we ALL had horrible service, not just me, she fricken argued about reducing the other tabs! How ridiculous! And to top it off the manger told another customer that we were rude not knowing that the customer is my co-worker, we were trying to be nice about how terrible the service was

Been to one been to all. Nothing anymore special about this one than the others i've been to. The food was good. My steak was done to perfection and the baked potato was larger than normal which was very good. Had the house salad and dressing which was very good. The staff was very attentive without hovering over us. All in all a very good experience. This city needed one of these. Whats weird is that it is in the same building that Black Bear Diner was in.

This place still cranks out excellent food, above average to excellent service, and the music levels have been brought down quite a bit since new management was brought in several months ago. It is now one of my favorite places to go in Sioux City.

Terrible experience tonight. Ordered ribeye and baked potato...came out with a 4 inch hair laying on the plate. Server asked me if I wanted to keep the steak and she would replace the potato....Um..NO! Got food replaced and then Mgr (or wanna be mgr) is walking table to table checking on people....stops by me, I explained what happened and his response was Oh Really? Thanked me for coming in..... DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE IF YOU WANT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been to Texas Roadhouse restaurants before, and the food was just as good as I remember. The service from the staff was absolutely excellent. They accommodated my wife's special requests without an issue and even brought out an extra half-rack of ribs because the first one wasn't "pretty." Heck, I didn't even notice. That's good customer service.

Wow...seriously, wtf is this place? Taking someone here that had never been to the Midwest would be like taking them to Uganda in terms of culture shock. (BLARING COUNTRY MUSIC heard as you open a car door in the parking lot) seriously, wtf is this place? You're given a number from a host that shouts above the blaring Charlie Daniels Band and you enter some sort of narrow, wooden, hodling pen until your number appears on one of the many electronic screens. Most everyone in the holding pen is an average of 20 lbs overweight-- being kind-- and a lone TV shows 2 and a Half Men from the local Fox affiliate on mute. (Finally led to our table after a 30 minute wait in the pen) The place is a like a guilt-free zone for brazenly Midwestern over-eaters. Although there is definitely something a lot less depressing that most of the other buffet-driven overeaters clubs dotting America. I think TR will put butter, gravy, cheese, and sour cream on anything you order. In fact, they push this option of having your already oversized meal upgraded with having a potato "loaded" with unnecessary fat and calories. This place is where the calorie is worshipped (20 oz beers for $1.99 duruing happy hour). Anyways...the food is decent and surprisingly priced low. No wonder the option of loading your potato or entree with some other calorie option for a litte more is pushed so heavily by the servers. I had the ribs and they were good I must admit. The were tender, but lacked any sort of BBQ flavor I've had with real BBQ ribs. Still considering these meals are competing with Chili's and Applebee's-- they're knocking it out of the park at Texas Roadhouse. Although I have many problems with Texas Roadhouse as a whole, I would go there again if stranded or hungry near a suburban shopping mall. The food was good, but I didn't let the calorie gods win-- which seems to be the goal here. And there's also pictures of Willie Nelson everywhere.

While I have to agree with Tommy K about the decor of this place, I found my steak tasty and well cooked, my potato (loaded) was great, and the cheesecake was the best I have ever had. The server was also very attentive. I did feel bad for the servers who are forced to line dance though, perhaps that's a ploy to get sympathetic diners to tip more?

Food was good and the server was great. Very typical Texas Roadhouse. Extremely busy, highly recommend call a head seating.

This place was horrendous. We knew there was going to be a long wait during a Saturday night, but we looked online and saw they had call ahead seating. Now, at normal, functioning restaurants, this means that you are added to the wait list when you call, can keep running errands, then when you get there you have little to no wait. Not at this Texas Roadhouse. No, when you call you get a number (the all important number). It is only when you show up with your entire party, that you are added to the list. So we called about 5:50 pm, were given the number, and told it would be a 35-45 minute wait. We made a Target run, then showed up about 25 minutes later at 6:15. We crammed our way into the tiny "holding pen" as a previous poster mentioned (If you don't like being squished up against other people's bodies and getting whacked with purses, don't come here.) We were not given any more information about our wait time, even when we asked. I overheard other people with "call ahead seating" given an addition 30 minute estimate. There seemed not to be any rhyme or reason to the numbers that would flash on the board. Finally, around 7:15 our number showed up. We went to the front to give them our little numbered slip. And then they promptly forgot about us. Several other groups with the same number were taken to be seated while we stood off to the side. We were not the only ones this happened to. Another man got into a verbal altercation with the front of house manager because his party had been standing to the side for 30 minutes waiting to be seated after their number had been called. When he told them this, they essentially said "too bad so sad". Yes, it was a busy Saturday night, but all of the front of house young ladies seemed much more interested in socializing with each other and any young men that came in the door than doing their jobs. Complete and utter incompetence. This place is not newly opened. They should have figured out their system by now. By the time we were seated, we were very, very frustrated and hungry. Our waitress was attentive and fine, but at that point there wasn't a whole lot she could do to salvage the situation. I feel sorry for the wait staff as their tips must be horrible due to all the pissed off people that end up at their tables. The food was fine, if unremarkable. Definitely not worth the hassle and aggravation. In short, do not come here unless you have unlimited time, like to rub up against strangers, and are a masochist.
