Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Great place for an after work get together or a weekend good time with friends. Different specials every day, example being Wednesday they do for solar martinis. Few of them and some appetizers and your good to go. They were doing specialty pizzas for awhile then stopped then restarted again? Not sure the thought process there as these things were amazing. I'm partial to the buffalo blue cheese one myself. They also host quite a few charity events for the community which only makes me more inclined to want to support them as a business. If I had to dig for a complaint and it is a reach but the staff can't seem to get their minds around using the iPads to take orders with. Other than that it is a great place

The beer selection is really varied with some unexpected options. There are many fresh menu items. I love to come here with friends, and also with my family.

Had a nice lunch with clients. The service was great and everyone really enjoyed all the sandwiches. I recommend the French Dip if you are undecided.

I have to say I was REALLY disappointed when visiting On The Green twice. After all of the big hoopla of winning the Iowa Bites contest, I was hoping for better. We gave them several weeks to get settled in before trying it but that didn't seem to have an effect. The first dining experience was on a Sunday evening about 7 p.m. When we arrived, it took several minutes to be seated (despite the fact that they were not busy) and the only area open was the bar area. We found the nine televisions in the bar distracting when trying to have nice dinner conversation. The server had little knowledge about the menu (both bar and dinner). We were surprised at the obvious lack of training. The most disturbing part of the dinner was the attitude of the partner who was hovering in the bar area. She was not welcoming at all and when we tried to strike up converstaion, she was defensive and complaining about the lack of business. Her attitude was very off-putting. As first time visitors to her establishment, we felt very unwelcome. The food was okay but not sparkling. We decided later that same week to try at lunch time, hoping the Sunday night experience was an anomaly. Unfortunately, it was not. Again, we waited too long to be seated. As retirees we have more time to wait, but I felt sorry for the people on a limited lunch hour. The paper menus were stained and unappealing to hold and look at. Again, the server was adequate but not well--trained. The food was satisfactory, but the upcharge for 5 onion rings seemed excessive and when paying the higher prices they charge, there are better options in town. I would go back again but won't fall over myself to get there. A big difference could be made by having a staff that is warm, sincere and customer service oriented.

Sunday brunch was fantastic. French toast and the potatoes were great. We were seated right away and the service was great. Things sure got busy just prior to departing. Surely seems that it would be a great place for after church brunch. Really want to do dinner as the menu looked fantastic.

Loving another addition to South Central Iowa's dining scene! We've been to On the Green a few times and here's what we love: 1. A choice of craft beers on tap and some great cocktails. $5 for a cocktail is a CRAZY bargain. 2. Risotto tots. Amazing appetizer of a quality you certainly won't find anywhere else in the area. 3. 50/50 burger: 1/2 beef/1/2 bacon, all amazing. Roast chicken - expertly prepared with a crisp skin and MOIST. Fish tacos - spiced and seasoned just right (should be a permanent menu item!) Salmon - another must-have! This place continues to improve as they settle into the area and staff training takes hold - and we are happy to bring guests to On the Green to enjoy fresh food that doesn't come off a truck - all for the same price you'd pay at an Applebee's or other cruddy chain.
