The food is incredible! I eat here every chance I get! Prices are low but the food will put you on cloud nine! Service is so good and the people are very friendly! Hardly no wait at all!

Only 3 Stars but I will try again next time I'm in town. I had the crab spring rolls and fried rice. I didn't care for the Spring rolls. Too much cilantro, and they used imitation crab. However the fried rice as fantastic as was the meat wonton that came with the meal. The meals being served to others around me looked very good and I over heard people commenting on them. I think I just ordered the wrong item for my taste. Definitely worth another try.

Food was soooo good and the service excellent. The staff was supper helpful and pointed us in the right direction with their vast menu. A deffinate try for those in the area. There is construction on the road that their on so be sure to use the back entrance.

When these folks were downtown, I'd eat there twice a week. The reality, though, is that I won't drive to lunch, so I only get to the Shack every month or so. The upside is that I really, really enjoy it. The food is hot, fresh, and large. I've been to Korea. I've had Korean food. I didn't like it. But whatever Yacky Shack is doing with the Asian Fusion thing, it's working.

Best Chinese and Korean food in Muscatine. The crab rangoon is the best I have ever had and the pork wings are amazing!

I am a huge fan of Yacky. The have really consistent Chinese/Korean/Japanese offerings. They make some creative offerings too. The bulgogi egg roll is really great. It is a bit greasy in some of their selections but I've found that more often than not they hit it exactly right. I love Korean food so I would love just a straight bulgogi and a yakimandeu, but their other options are fantastic. Try the pig wings!

Yacky Shack is fantastic. What a gem. We had the bulgogi tacos: served with warm tortillas, a bowl of seasoned steak strips, kimchi, cilantro and a little flavorful dumpling on the side....ahhhhhhhh. Delish. Assemble the tacos yourself, and add any of the awesome sauces: Yacky sauce, hot honey mustard or a sweet-spicy creamy aioli. Tasty and tender. The beef was fantastic and plentiful. The egg roll was crispy and light, and filled with flavor. The "Yackys" are dumplings of various fillings, chicken, beef and pork. Fried or steamed and with the various sauces, these were lovely, tasty and perfect. I highly recommend the pork, and fried if you want to indulge. Perfect. High praise also for their fried rice. Nice, tender chunks of chicken, and ordered "medium" spice was a perfect bite. Nothing was greasy despite being fried, and the ingredients were of excellent quality. Nice tea selection and self serve drinks and extra sauces (plus containers available for taking home leftovers). There were a lot of lunch patrons present, and the food was coming out quickly. The Chinese dishes looked really good as well, so that leaves me something to get back for. And preferably sooner than later. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful as well as prompt. The place appears brand new and impeccably clean. Simple but clean and bright. This place is a total win. Completely worth the short drive to Muscatine from the QC. I'll be back as this is a new local favorite.

I love this place so much. I grew up in the Muscatine area, and I visit my family a few times a year. My husband and I make sure to visit all the classic Muscatine food establishments that we don't have in our current city. Yacky Shack recently made the line up of restaurants we MUST visit! I LOVE the bulgogi beef tacos and kimchi slaw! I'm also pretty crazy about the bulgogi beef rolls and their house sauce. So perfect! I can't recommend Yacky Shack enough. Everything we've eaten there has been amazing! Restaurant is very clean and the building is very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful... Portions are great! Prices are even better! AND they deliver to most of the local hotels, which is great for out of town folks who get a craving but don't feel like leaving the hotel (guilty!)

I'm a big foodie and I travel a lot. If you're in the mood for Korean, this is the only place in town. Food is okay, but nothing to write home about. Good luck asking for anything custom. They'll argue and bitch when you ask for an egg over easy! And don't think about asking for something they readily have available, but isn't currently listed exactly on their menu board. Uugh!

I was delighted to see that there was a restaurant serving Korean food less than 3 hours away from me after Kimchi Teriyaki in Davenport closed last year. However, that's an important point about this place, if you're looking for Korean food: it's a place that serves Korean food, NOT a Korean restaurant. I ordered bibimbap and pajeon while my friend ordered naengmyeon and dumplings. Banchan does not come with the food (still not sure why) but you can buy it at ridiculous prices. In the interest of not spending more money on banchan than my main dish, I just ordered a side of kimchi. And thank God I did, since there was no kimchi in the bibimbap. Other than that, the bibimbap was good. The pajeon was made with green peppers instead of green onion.. and I have a suspicion it was also made with actual pancake batter. Not my favorite. As for my friend's food, the naengmyeon was made with soba noodles and had almost no broth, but she said the flavor was still good. The dumplings (or as they're called there, "yackies") were delicious and so was the sauce that came with them. All in all, if you're looking for pseudo-Korean food or don't feel like driving all the way out to Chicago for bibimbap, or if you're a dumpling enthusiast, go for it. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice, but I was hoping for something more authentic.

A little pricy but the food is always hot and fresh every time I come! Staff is always wonderful however I suggest take out during the lunch hour because they are always packed! I recommend trying the Yacky sauce... It's excellent!

My husband and I went here on a date night. Our first time inside the new restaurant. Staff was nice and welcoming, us told us that we order and pay at the counter then they bring it out to us. The menu is very large and the girl offered us a menu to look at rather than staring at the huge one on the wall. So we found our table, which they have nice options booths or round tables or long ones so if you had a large group they can accommodate. We ordered the $11 sampler platter, sizzling rice soup, cashew chicken and general tso's chicken. After about 20 minutes, everything came out at the same time. My cashew chicken, which I ordered because of the listed veggies in it, was made with crinkle cut canned carrots and canned mushrooms, both of which I don't find appealing at all, so I put it aside to try the soup which had great flavor but absolutely no "sizzle" in it. The appetizers were OK egg rolls are about double the size of regular ones, taste was OK, though one was a little burnt and both were saturated with oil. The general tso was a bit salty but not bad. My real complaint was that although we were asked how things were 3 times by two staff nothing was done or offered to fix the problem I had with the cashew chicken. We were told they would check on it but never returned to fix or offer anything else in it's place. We left after waiting 30 min. Leaving the untouched dish where it was on the table edge. I give one star for the cheap lazy short cut of canned carrots and mushrooms as well as the lack of action to fix a problem.

After a long day at work, I just wanted good comfort food. Found this on Yelp with great reviews so why not. I'm from California and we have lots of great Korean food everywhere. I have to say this is about the worst that I've ever had. The restaurant is impressive from the car. It's quite large. Maybe a tad bigger than a Denny's. It stands alone on a big lot. Looks nice from the outside. Inside, the entry is basically the order counter with a big menu board on the right wall. Nicely decorated. Lots of Chinese and Korean dishes. I order a steam dumpling dish (Chicken Yacky Dumplings), chicken bibimbap and a beer. Basic comfort food for Asians. 20 bucks. Got my order number and turned left into the dinning area; which looks more like a school cafeteria with a few booths. There are about 15 people eating at 6:30 pm. Not a bad sign. Beer is fine. Dumplings come out and they are not steaming. They are barely warm, and the skin is almost a quarter inch thick and hard (imagine cold dry dough)! And the chicken filling was tasteless. Awful! Dumplings need soft, moist and thin shells and tasty filling. These just had chicken and something white and sticky - probably under cooked dough. No mushrooms, no water chestnuts, nothing. Never steamed! One bite and couldn't eat anymore. Then bibimbap comes out. Great bibimbap usually comes out in a hot iron bowl. This was just a regular ceramic one. Not steaming again. Chicken is cold too. Only thing hot was the sunny side up pan fried egg. Things are looking bad. No hot sauce. I asked the server for bibimbap sauce and she asked why. She said I ordered kimchee fried rice. I asked her to come take a look at my plate. She came by, went back in the kitchen, got my sauce, gave it to me and said nothing the whole time. No sorry or anything. I kicked myself for adding a tip to my payment at the time of order. The bibimbap is edible but not great. The one I had on a Korean Airline flight was better. Bottom line. This is not close to real Korean food. I don't even want to come back to try the Chinese dishes. Very disappointed.

I work here, so I eat here a lot. I love the veggie beef and orange chicken so much I never get a chance to try anything elce. The cooks are awesome and do a great job. Also the front of house makes you feel comfortable and take care of you like you are at home. Try it once and your addicted.
