Oh I no longer live in Muscatine and only go back to Iowa for a wedding, death, or birth of a baby. No matter the reason I'm in Muscatine I still to this day must get Taco Pizza. I seriously have cravings for taco pizza. I don't understand how I can eat so much and yet everytime I must must get it. It is one of my all time favorite foods and it makes me beyond happy when I take a bite. The restaurant is super clean and they are fast at getting you your pizza. Not only is the new location beautiful the customer service is great as well. I love the fact that you can dine there as a family like you used to when you were kid.

Happy Joes...happy customers. This is a small local chain pizzeria thats a bit like Chucky Cheese. Minus the anamotronic animal band, less games, and rad food. Seriously the Njnja turtles would love this place. The za has a good thin crust, nice distribution of toppings, and is well seasoned. The service is super as well. Check it out and see if it makes you as happy as Joe, yo!

Best taco pizza ever!! All of their pizzas are good but the taco and nacho joe are the best I've had! We moved to the west coast for a couple years where oddly they dont have taco pizza anywhere, this was one of the first things we had when we moved back home!

This is not good pizza. Even our children hated it. The jar stuff you use at home is better than the marinara they use for their pizza. I thought Pizza Hut and dominos were the worst pizza establishments around, now I will add this place to it. Unhappy customers.

Every kid that grew up in Muscatine, Iowa during the 1980s has a picture of themselves riding the little merry-go-round at Happy Joe's Pizza. Am I right? I know I'm right. Happy Joe's is a Muscatine institution. I recently visited the new post-fire location in Muscatine and was pleasantly surprised to find that the new restaurant is not only very nice, but also maintains the same quality of food that I remember from when I lived in Muscatine. (AND! They salvaged the little merry-go-round!) On this particular visit, my husband and I took my younger brother and my two young cousins. It was my brother's 15th birthday and we decided to nosh here before heading off to see the new Harry Potter. With three teenage boys, we ordered a fair amount of food. We got a medium cheesesticks, a large (Happy Joe's equivalent to) meat lover's, a medium BLT pizza, and a medium dessert sticks. With five drinks, and 30 dollars in game play tokens, the bill came to just at 100 dollars. This seems just a bit pricey to me, especially after being spoiled by The Incredible Pizza Company's amazing deals... The food was great, though, and everyone enjoyed themselves. At the end of our meal, we got the complimentary birthday clown sundae for my brother, and the entire restaurant sang to him... which, of course, is priceless. In general, I recommend the BLT Pizza. It's unique and while it's often imitated, it is never duplicated... at least not with any real accuracy. As another reviewer suggested, the Taco Pizza is also definitely worth a try. It can sometimes be hard to find a place to sit during their busy times on Friday and Saturday nights... though normally there is ample seating. Check it out! Ride the merry-go-round, if you dare.

All I have to say is Taco Pizza!! I crave their Taco Pizza, which I have to eat every time I go back to visit my family.. Don't get me wrong ALL of the food is great, but the Taco Pizza is crazy addicting!

I grew up in Muscatine and love Happy Joe's Pizza. Every time we come back for a visit, a Taco Supreme and a BLT are a requisite dinner for us while were here. I am surprised they haven't expanded across the country, but I also don't really care because it makes it that much more special when we're back. Keep doing what you're doing HJ's!
