Almost as gross as Applebee's. Everything is probably microwaved. Way overpriced. Des Moines is a lot better!!

Not that great for the price you pay but is a good meal. It brought a nice sports bar here but aside from that, I'm happy with our Applebee's.

Came in on a Tuesday pretty close to closing. Bartender was friendly and recommended the pork tenderloin sandwich, which was good. Also ordered the onion rings, which were also hand breaded. Most of the rest of the menu was probably frozen and standard bar fare, but I enjoyed what I got. Also had a local beer to wash it down. Lots of tvs and probably a good place to watch sports.

This is the 4th time I've been to this location. Friday, and the parking lot is barren. The first time we ate here, it was pretty awful. Our server wasn't knowledge about the items on the menu. I asked him if the taco meat was supposed to be cold, and he went back and asked the kitchen. Lol. We never got any refils for our soda, and after waiting about a half hour, we had to ask the hostess for our check. We gave them one last try to keep our business. Our appetizer came out after our entrees. 3 different people came to our table durring our meal. On a night so dead, one server should have been more than enough. It's a shame that the food and service doesn't match the atmosphere.

Allow me to summarize how your experience at Legends will proceed: the service will be terribly slow--almost to the point of apathetic and the menu options may sound interesting but unfortunately will be poorly executed. My last visit here exemplifies the above. The wait staff could have cared less that we had arrived. After ordering it took upwards of 45 min for the food to arrive. The bun on my burger was soggier than a poodle in a London rainstorm, and the "fresh" fruit was apparently freshly plucked from fields in Siberia as it was frozen solid. That being said, if you are just looking for a place to have a beer and watch a game, they do have a good selection of beer and have always tuned the channel to the game of my choice. Further, it is nice to see that they carry some local brews as well. In summary: good beer, poor service, and disappointing food.

This place needs to improve a lot if it wants to stay open. I've been to Legends quite a few times, and have given it plenty of chances, and I don't think it's going to improve. During lunch expect to wait 40+ minutes to get your food, when it's not even busy. This is unacceptable, and specially worse when your food is not right or/and warm. For dinner, it gets somewhat better, but not by much. The last time I was here, the sweet potato fries were old, soggy, and cold. When we told the waiter, he took the fries back, and brought the same fries re-fried. Considering what you are paying, which is towards the pricey end in this town, this is worse than McDonalds. Legends is in a good location. I like the atmosphere, and the way the restaurant is setup inside, and the food is alright. I don't want yet another restaurant to close in Marshalltown. I want to give this place my business, but they are just making it really hard for me to justify coming back. There is no excuse why the service is as bad as it is.

Food and service were very spotty. We came for Monday night football. We should have taken a hint that the place was dead. We ordered the what is labeled "fresh fruit" on the menu for our toddler. What came was stewed freezer burned strawberries. I can't believe it was even served. My friend had part of a wine label in her wine glass and I had crusty floaties in my beer. Taco salad shell was great. The only shining piece.

Terrible service. After waiting 50 minutes for our food and not seeing our waitress since she took our order we left. She never checked on us or apologized for the extremely wait.

Much like any Chili's or Applebee's I was pretty disappointed by Legends. The only bright spot was the appetizer I got: spicy spinach dip (though even it had overly buttered what-they-called pita chips). The buffalo chicken wrap I had was uninspired, and the only thing that had any decent flavor was the beef fajitas my Aunt and Uncle got. It's hard to really mess up fajitas though. Don't eat at Legends if you're in Marshalltown (unless you have to), as there are plenty of better restaurants, like Jax's.

Great place for burger, cold beverage and football.

Big Sports Bar. Also has dining area. Waitress couldn't turn TV. Food was very average for the most part. Spinach dip pretty good.

Service was horrible and the food mediocre. The waitress made sure to get on her cell phone as she went to the terminal to put in the order.
