Originally from Keokuk, my parents still live there so we come back to visit as often as possible. We make it a point to have Angelini's at least once while we are home. By far one of the best pizzas around, I wish they would start a franchise and come out to California we have crap for pizza near us. You have to try the Taco Pizza, everyone scuffs at the thought, but please try it once. The pasta bar is great, mixed up and cooked right in front of you. We usually have about 8 or 9 people when we go in and they have always been accommodating. We ate here on New Years Eve 2013, as busy as they were, the pasta chef kept orders moving and the meal was excellent. Keokuk has lost many good restaurants over the years but Angelini's I believe is a bright spot on Main Street that will hopefully be around for many years to come. If your in Nauvoo for a mission or any of the pageants please get over to Keokuk and give this place a try.

Best pizza in the tri-state area and if you are familiar with St. Louis style pizza they have provel cheese. Just ask for it.

I went in a Saturday night and the service was terrible. Several of the staff were pretty much rude to many of their customers and all of the staff seemed to have a bad habit of talking to patrons without looking at them. I noticed this repeatedly all evening long from all of the staff. When I arrived I was asked if I had a reservation which I did not. The man who asked essentially said "well, I don't know what to tell you then. He said I guess you can sit at the bar" and then literally just walked off. I have never been treated so terribly at a restaurant of this caliber before. This place is very busy but with the terrible customer service it is only a matter of time before they go out of business. I won't return after my experience tonight. The bad/good news is that the food is really good. I just had a pizza and the crust, cheese and sauce were all amazing. If you can handle being treated like a scumbag by the wait staff in order to eat good food, this is the place for you.

Pizza crust was buttery and delicious. Pasta sauce is tangy and unique. In the party we had two different pizzas, a calzone, lasagna, amongst other pastas; all were very satisfied.

Absolutely fabulous! I had the salmon burger with grilled zucchini and my husband built his own calzone. We also split a Greek salad. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality, and the service was excellent. We highly recommend it!

I travel for a living and have seen my share of bad service. I gave 2 stars because the food was actually pretty good. I waited 15 mins to be seated and there were 6 "small" tables cleaned...small enough for a single person. I waited 7 mins for a server to approach who BTW never greeted or took the time for small talk, it was strictly business only. I would come back only because it was the only decent place to eat at such a small town which seemed to justify bad service.....

I've eaten here a couple times and it is so good! My sister had pizza and it was really good! I had a Mediterranean pasta dish and it was FABULOUS! I will definitely return!!

Though it's not saying much, Angelini's is the best restaurant in Keokuk. Besides their delicious pizza, they have a nice menu with some surprising choices. I never tried the pasta bar, but people love it. Great sandwiches and salads, too. My only complaint is their refusal to make small substitutions even when customer offers to pay a premium. I think this displays a poor attitude toward customer service, demonstrating that they are inflexible when it comes to customers' desires.

Delicious! We ate everything! Definitely recommend this place! I had spaghetti and meatballs topped with Mozzarella! Son had the 14 oz Ribeye with a baked potato. Hubby had Poseidon Trident a seafood bake with Scallops Shrimp and Salmon in a lobster cheese sauce! He said it WAS GOOOOD! Best place we've eaten at in Keokuk! Best Spaghetti Ever! The pasta bar is so cool and looks delicious we are definitely gonna come back and try that next! Appetizers were delicious! So of course like always I have a few critiques. 1. The decor needs updated! The furniture is like from an old KFC! Red metal chairs with green padded seats.! Please Angelini's update this! It's really drab and cheap! 2. Service needs improved! Waitress was less than attentive and had us waiting for to order and to offer refills!

This place doesn't get the "high honor" of being the best restaurant in Keokuk, but I think it deserves it. The Hawkeye has that reputation, but The Hawkeye is predictable and slightly better quality than a diner. Angelini's Pizza at least dares to provide something a little interesting. They have good service. We have only ever picked up or had delivery. We have not eaten in the restaurant. Occasionally, orders get messed up, but compared to what else is around, it's not a big deal. The pizza is probably the best in town also.

Great food and service. A gem that's off the beaten path. I would recommend this place to all foodies. It would even be worth the drive if it's out of your way. I hope this place keeps up the good work.

I have heard that there is no good place to eat in Keokuk. Of course this is the first time being here so I wouldn't know. I am just going off of my parents who served a mission in nauvoo 5 years ago. We came here because my aunt said she would like to eat here. We came and everyone was very happy with everything. Very good. I had the pasta bar and that was fabulous. Very nice and courteous workers. I would come here again-again and again.

Great place to eat. Great find in Keokuk, IA. I had the prime rib and my wife had salmon which she thoroughly enjoyed. My only complaint was that my baked potato came with margarine instead of butter. They were able to accommodate our very large group at the last minute. Service was excellent.

I was pretty excited to come to this place, the reviews are great and once again, if you have read my prior reviews in Keokuk, there's not many options... I was able to get a table right away as it was pretty dead, but my greeting was less than desirable, I was in the designated waiting area and the waiter seemed confused as to what I wanted... "Just looking for a table...", "okay, right this way". They put me in this dark area like I'm diseased, I swear I'm not a lepur and I was still dressed for business. So the service is poor to mediocre.... Which is based on both the reception and the remainder of the service. The environment is dim, music is quiet enough to have a conversation, but loud enough to enjoy. The building is old, but maintained well. There is seating near the window, but again, I can only gaze from my quarantine seating...the chairs are atrocious, some of the tables are nice, some are cheap looking, none-the-less, I could see myself having a nice dinner 1-on-1 with my spouse here. The area is small, but cozy...albeit the AC is blasting a little too hard. One of the reasons I came was for the Prime Rib, well you can only have that on Fridays and Saturdays... Okay, how about the Spaghetti bar that everyone's raving about? Nope, not on Wednesday. Then I had a tough time finding what I wanted on the menu. I ordered a rib eye, medium-rare and tried to order a Caesar salad...nope, no Caesar salad, but they have Caesar dressing, okay, I'll do that. Salad comes out with Italian dressing. I gotta admit, at this point I was hoping the main course was terrible because my momentum was pushing me to finish with a terrible review. However, I have to admit the Rib-Eye was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, I ate ever last bit of it that I could and felt great about it afterwards. Everything aside from the prime rib, was just OK.. Which includes the salad and some piece of garlic bread that was served with the salad that was not very good at all.

5 stars ... in Keokuk? Yeah, this is the place. We met the proprietor at our first visit, yesterday for lunch - I believe his name is John. He's an impressive entrepreneur, on his second career during a lifetime in Keokuk. But, more on that later. Food is very good. Offering is far beyond pizza. We had two of the hand-tossed - a supreme, and a chicken / ranch / bacon. Also, partook of the garlic cheese bread and the cheese-covered bread sticks. All was good [i) the ranch sauce is heavy on the ranch flavor - be advised; and, ii) didn't see the sauerkraut pizza referenced in an earlier review], and much of it is apparently made fresh, in the kitchen there. But, wait - there's more! John talked about dry-aged beef that they use for their steaks. My dad had the ribeye panini, and found it to also be good. Additionally, John spoke of a pasta bar that he runs on Tues, Thurs, Fri, and Sat evenings. He has a pasta chef put together various pasta combinations for customers, right there in front of the diners. He also offers the kid-friendly chicken fingers and french fries. Coke products are on tap, but the place has Pepsi cans available, too. There is a wine selection, and John spoke of one day having a bar. His story is a cool story. John started a pizza joint in Hamilton, then moved it over to Keokuk. He bought the building (being several store fronts), and expanded his restaurant, carefully into a neighboring space. He punctuated his thoughts frequently with practical comments about things like return on investment, paying down debt, market research, adapting to the changing local market conditions as employers open and close, etc. John's in this for the long haul, and trying to go about this is in a smart way. He's one of two shops in town, which currently offer a nice dining experience, with food produced on site. He hired a pair of chefs from a country club in Quincy, and is offering a quality dining experience. He's been doing this since 2000, and continues to evolve as opportunities permit expansion and development. There is a market in Keokuk, as he reports that of the two locations with this experience, there are frequently times (especially around weekends) where visitors must wait for tables to open. We'll be back. I gotta' try the steak ... and the pasta experience. It's worth a drive. If I had business in Keokuk, this is where I'd take my clients. He is working on a patio for next year.

Great pizza. You can't beat a large specialty pizza, Caesar salad and lemonade for $25.00. Great service and Frank Sinatra playing in the background. A great place to go.

I ate here a few months ago, and everything was very good. The chicken parm was really well made - crispy, juicy, and the sauce was excellent. My waitress was very friendly, and made sure my drink was full. All in all, i could't ask for a much better experience. I'll visit again when I'm back in town for business.

Walked in and talked to a waitress for 5 seconds, then we waited by ourselves in a front room for 10 minutes, seated ourselves and got our own menus, then finally left after another 5 minutes of not being spoken to by anyone despite two people working within 5 feet of us.
