The best baristas I have ever had, such a friendly coffee shop. Coffee is just as good as any Starbucks but the staff make this one the best I've been too, highly recommend this location

Ordered 2 drinks, one came up right away. The other drink, I was waiting and waiting, went to ask about my second drink and was told they were out of it. WHAT???? Why didn't they tell me that when I picked up the first drink??!! The guy told me he had called me three times, um no, I was with my daughter and granddaughter, none of us heard them call me a second time. They offered me a refund and a free iced Americano. Which was nice, but when you're waiting for a drink with a newborn, no fun!!!!! Other Starbucks have been WONDERFUL, but this one was a little condescending and they lied about calling my name. Not nice!

Had a great experience here today. They have a clover machine. I had no idea what it was about. I was a bit timid to ask but the wonderful barista explained the whole process to me even tho the store was packed. She really cared about you as the customer. I wish I got her name. She said she had worked at the Coralville store which did not have a Clover. You should go.

They do have quick friendly service and I am giving them 5/5 starts as I asked for a Venti coffee and cold soy topper. The barista informed me that there was soy milk at the condiment bar. When I walked over to get the soy milk there was none. I asked them politely for soy milk and he was nice enough to hand me soy right then. Even though he had a line of drinks at the bar. He even asked if I wanted my soy steamed. Also told me to have a great morning. Very nice staff.
Your standard Starbucks. Gets crazy busy at times, but always good service. The only reason I really come to Starbucks over the local places is because Starbucks is pretty much the only place where I can get a 12 ounce drink, and they're the cheapest. Oh, and if you're looking for a place to study or have a conversation, this probably is not the place you are looking for. It's loud and seating is limited.

It's a normal Starbucks. Dependable and consistent as far as their drinks. However, Wi-Fi has been slow every time I have been there. Not a place I would hang out and study or do work, however, when the school year is in full swing.

Consistently friendly and fast service. I really enjoy the food. The Starbucks iPhone app makes it really handy when purchasing. I frequently visit all of the coffee shops in downtown Iowa City and find that Starbucks (as with the others) is exceptional. I'm not sure why there are so many haters posting reviews. We have great coffee shops in Iowa City, and that includes Starbucks.

I wish Starbucks would get their card promotions straight. I have a gold starbucks card, and on their web site they hype the fact that if you buy a pound of coffee at one of their company stores, you get a free tall drink. Yesterday afternoon, I went to buy a pound of house blend at the Clinton Street store, and she says--no you only get a free tall drink if you buy the tribute blend. Please don't hype deals you don't honor!

My beloved strawberry frapuccino was watered down, crunchy from the unblended ice and just downright crap--the chick making it should have quit runnin her loud mouth since she obviously could not do two things at once

Best and fastest service of any of downtown Iowa City's coffee shops and serves product of consistent quality, which, unfortunately, cannot be said for a couple of the local independent cafés, because Iowa City-ans love to patronize independent businesses. Coming to realize this may sort of be like when Luke Skywalker finally accepts that Darth Vader is his father, or it may not bother you at all, but it doesn't change the fact that it's true. During the academic school year the place can be a hubbub of activity as students come and go, study, and run their yappers. This, compounded with the music the Starbucks corporation forces its stores to play over the speakers makes it a place I would not usually want to sit down and hang out in, but as far as the coffee and drinks go, you can and will do a hell of a lot worse in other places.
