Highly recommend this restaurant! I have had many of this dishes they offer and I am impressed each time! It's a must try! It's a great spot here on the Square in Indianola!

Just off the square in Indianola, Funaro's is worth a small detour for a tasty treat. I stopped in for just that last Saturday. The young woman behind the counter explained their selection of cookies and completely sold me on purchasing a half dozen for $5; cookies sold individually are $1 a piece. I tried their Snickers peanut butter cookie (a local favorite, she said), and chocolate/brownie, snickerdoodle, and chocolate glazed cookies. They were all fresh and phenomenal! The Snickers was my favorite: moist and soft peanut-buttery delicious. Their sandwiches are in the $7 range, a bit hefty; but I can't rate without trying. Friends say they are good and made with quality ingredients. The place is no frills, cozy, and oh-so local. Give Funaro's a try!

Average chicken salad sandwich. Ruben sandwich was good. 18 Bucks for two sandwiches is a little too pricy for me, especially when the sandwiches are only average. Lunch should be like 5 or 6 bucks each.

Don't waste your time with Subway or Jimmy Johns. Funaro's deli sandwiches are great. I've never been disappointed. Meatball sub is a must try and the turkey sub is my Spring/Summer choice.

Good food...especially love their bread bowls with broccoli cheese soup. Friendly service. Kind of slow but what's the hurry.

This is a pleasant deli and bakery. There isn't a lot of variety, but they're good at what they do. You probably won't have your socks knocked off here, but you won't ever be disappointed either. The service is very friendly!
