wonderful spot for lunch. soups, sandwiches, salads. seasonal menu, fresh ingredients, fun and cozy, fancy but not uptight. they are usually very busy, and you might have to wait for a table but it's worth it. the owner, Nicholas, is usually there, and he's very friendly and accommodating. many enjoyable vegetarian options. the quinoa burger that they make in house is unbelievable! It comes with some fresh made tzatziki sauce on top of it, and I always order it with the fresh kale salad that is massaged with lemon juice. classic! one of my other recent favorites is the butternut squash burrito. the sweet walnuts and the sour cream mix with the black beans, quinoa, and squash to create a truly inspired burrito. I'm drooling while I'm typing this. and if you have a sweet tooth, they have a bunch of naughty treats, cookies and cakes etc. that they bake in house. I highly recommend making a stop at the Gardens next time you are in Fairfield.

Local fresh food, great ambiance, nice service, and delicious. This is the type of place that I'd expect to find in a big city neighborhood, not in small town Iowa. I'm not the type of guy who eats a lot of quinoa, but somehow they make a fantastic burger out of the stuff. Very impressed so far by the couple times I've been there.

Nick and his staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. My next trip through Fairfield will definitely include a visit here.

My hubby and I are here today. Service was fast and friendly. I am vegan and had the hummus wrap without cheese. My husband had a chicken and roasted red pepper wrap. We both thought the food was great. I had coffee and he had tea-both very good. Would definitely recommend to others and would go again ourselves.

The first time I ate here I ordered the Summer Berry Salad, but it came with no berries. :( Being a passive Iowan, I didn't complain about it, but when the server asked me how I liked my food I told him I was surprised there were no berries on the berry salad. He said, 'Oh, well, we just serve seasonal local food, so we had the pineapple instead.' I smiled and nodded, but in my head I was thinking, 'It is Summer in Iowa and you think PINEAPPLE is more seasonal and local than berries???' They just should have told me when I ordered they were out of berries. I could have picked something else. They were so pleasant (including the owner), and nice atmospheres are hard to find in Fairfield, so I keep going back. The vibe in the place is very youthful, but the decor is kind of granny. I think it somehow pleases everyone. 2 of the 3 times I've been here people in my party have sent back food. This might say more about the people (my friends) of Fairfield than it does the restaurant, so it might not even be worth mentioning, except that each time the servers were really nice about it. I think it is pretty mortifying when people send back food, but this place really does customer service well. It is worth noting that they always have great and often unique beverage options. You might find an iced coffee or basil lime soda on the menu board. You can get the local Shaktea kombucha here, too. After living in San Francisco for 10 years, this is a place I go when I'm missing hipsters. Yeah, it happens.

This place rules! Lots of healthy options for both vegetarians and meat-eaters, fab desserts.
