We stopped in for lunch after our visit to the Field of Dreams movie site and were not disappointed. The food was excellent quality, very tasty and delivered by friendly servers. Highly recommended!

Solid mid-American food. Nothing fancy, but better than most of the other options!

The family style Sunday breakfast is a great way to enjoy your weekend meal. Stays off wIth Orange juice and a roll. Then comes the eggs pancakes sausage bacon and eggs. You can always ask for more at no charge. The sunday dinner is pretty good to. Chicken roast beef and ham are the typical meat choices. Add mashed potatoes hit vegetables and a salad bar and you're full. Nice menu options on other days.

Was in town for work and stopped for soup & salad. The Wisconsin cheese soup and French dressing on salad was an excellent meal.

Stopped driving by and happy we did. Family style, good food. Started out with some nachos. They were good. Not too spicy and good ingredients. Son had a Cowboy burger which he said was really good. It was huge! 2 1/3 burger patties with fries. Really good fries too! I had an open face beef and mashed potatoes meal. Big chunks of beef, good potatoes and the gravy wasn't too salty. If we get by this way again, we will have to stop again! Forgot to mention they have a cute country store in the front. Worth a look-see.

Sorry, guys, if you're escaping the big-city rat race and looking for down-home hospitality, then the Country Junction can't receive anything less than a 5-star review! It's just what you're looking for and then some! I drove all night to the Field of Dreams, arriving at dawn in a moment that seemed stranger than life. Being a jaded city-dweller, I was not prepared for how low-key Dyersville is. I expected billboards and road signs telling me to pull off for kitschy souvenirs and made-in-China mementos. But it couldn't be anything further from the truth. After experiencing dawn at the cathedral of baseball, I was looking for someplace to go in the hours before the Field officially opened. By yelping, I found Country Junction. I entered not knowing what to expect really. But I made friends fast by asking for dessert first! "How'd you know to do that?" Mary Kay, the cheerful waitress asked. She seemed amused I had found my way there by an internet review. I told her she would be surprised the places Yelp has taken me. When I asked her what she'd recommend, I was astonished at the variety of the offerings. She tempted me with home-made cinnamon rolls, then won me over with her description of French toast and maple-pecan syrup. She said the ham steak was not to be missed either -- and boy, was she right! I was so full I didn't have room for the pie. But I paid for a slice of lemon and a slice of carrot cake to be picked up after we returned from the Field of Dreams! I didn't get to the pie till I was down the road a piece in Iowa. But let me tell you that was one of the most mouth-watering slices of carrot cake I've had the pleasure of eating. The frosting was a meal in itself! Once again, I was taught a lesson in how love and care are baked into a meal. All across Iowa I was one over by people who move at a different pace than what I'm accustomed to, who still stop and engage in a conversation with a stranger. The whole staff at Country Junction are heartfelt. When I left behind a story they had cut out of the local paper for me on the Ghost Players at the Field of Dreams, they were nice enough to mail it to me! I miss everything about Iowa -- and take comfort that our political season begins here every four years. I couldn't think of anybody more qualified to help our nation narrow the candidates. I hope the Field of Dreams survives for another generation. If not, I'll have to think of another excuse to visit Dyersville so I can stop by at the Country Junction!

Okay comfort food that won't blow you away for the most part. I've eaten here twice and it was just okay each time. Kinda fancier than most places in town so I imagine it attracts tourists since it is right off the main road. Other than convenience, really can't recommend it here.

This is a great place to grab a bite to eat if you find yourself in Dyersville, Iowa! The place is cute and comfortable and the menu and drink options are varied. We tried a salad and a meatloaf sandwich that were decent, but not fantastic. I definitely recommend the Farmer Brown Ale paired with the fried pickles!

Clean, convenient, but dinner was average at best. I did enjoy my applesauce, but the cod and onion rings had minimal flavor and not crispy.

This is such a cute place with great atmosphere, polite and fast service, and good food. Breakfast is fresh and delicious country food served family style so you are guaranteed to leave with a full belly. Even though it's a kids-friendly restaurant it is not loud inside so you can actually have a conversation. The building looks like an old barn with lots of antiques, and there is a Farm Toy Museum right next to it. We will definitely go back!

Ho hum...comfort food on the reasonably priced buffet. Wish we'd timed it better for menu service. Good way to refuel, but just . Iced tea was brewed, though, so we enjoyed that.

I am not a pie fan, but there pie is my all time favorite after one visit. Amazingly light pie crust. All food had the home cooked feel and is delicious. Great place to stop if heading to the Field of Dreams, just off the freeway. Cute gift shop as well with very unique cute CLEAN bathrooms. If I am ever back in this area I will make a stop back! I had homemade beef vegetable soup, open faced beef plate and chocolate pie. I like that they keep the country feel even down to the glass mason jars for beverages.

Good home-cooked food and some of the best pie anywhere. Pies are made fresh each morning by local ladies. Service is Iowa nice!

I am not a big fan of pies, but I wanted to try theirs. I had a great peach pie on one visit and an apple pie on another. I also ventured with a Denver omelet which I thought was okay.

I think Country Junction is a cute casual place, the kind of place I can totally picture in Dyersville, Iowa. They have a huge sign talking about their pie and I guess 'locals order pie first!' according to the menu. I just had a burger, with soup. Potato soup was good. It was between pie and carrot cake - so I took the advice of another yelper and picked carrot cake. It was a solid carrot cake - frosting was yummy but too much - I just scraped off some of it. I do wish I would have tried the pie. Awesome pie is much harder to find than carrot cake in my opinion. Anyway- if you're wayyyyyyy out in Dyersville heading to the Field of Dreams - stop in!

This is one of the best places to find comfort food that you will ever encounter. The day of the visit I was very ill and knew I couldn't make it back to Cedar Rapids. Trout fishing in a 40 degree rain (already with a bad cold and wearing no coat) will do that to you. I told the waitress I needed some comfort food - something filling and simple. She recommended the hot beef sandwich. This lady had to be part angel. It was a perfect prescription. The sandwich arrived quickly and was as tasty as it was beautiful. The roast beef (probably chuck?) was flavorful and tender. The potatoes were obviously homemade with just a tiny lump here and there to let you know it didn't come from a box. All was blanketed in a delicious gravy. The interior of this restaurant is beautiful and has a comforting, country feel to it. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. This is where you want to take a family, a date, or anyone else. There is something for everyone on the menu and I'm sure it will please. With a belly of warm comfort food, I only made it two blocks to the 24 gym on the hill before falling asleep in the camper for the next eight hours. The food worked its magic! This place is a "must visit" if you are going through Dyersville. I'm a fan!

We pulled into Dyersville -- home of the Field of Dreams field -- hungry and ready to eat. This kitchy place is everything I hate about fake country decor...except this is right in the middle of farm country and the food was great. My favorite part: the desserts are listed on the first page under the banner "Our regulars order pie first." Their fruit pies were amazing. I had the blueberry although I'm told their apple pie is made from freshly picked apples. Trust me when I tell you: order the pie first. Then don't expect to enjoy the food. But not because the food isn't good. My grilled chicken was great as was my dad's deep fried chicken, both spread on salads. No, you won't enjoy the food because the pie is That. Damn. Good. Do this. Trust me. I wouldn't lie. I promise!

We stopped at Country Junction yesterday, based on other reviews, and we all (three adults and three children) had a great meal. My adult son highly recommended the open faced roast beef sandwich--he said it was as good as he'd ever had. I had the soup/salad (homemade soup, dressings and croutons.) Reasonably priced, great service, taste of home (ok, better than home some days), and a wide variety of pie. We split a piece of lemon meringue, and got sour cream raisin and coconut cream to go. Next time we're in the area, we'll be back. (And if we hadn't had to get on the road to drive the rest of the way across Iowa, we definitely would have tried the beer flight!)

I eat here everytime I'm in Dyersville/Dubuque, which is to say, once in a blue moon. The restaurant has a once-working windmill imported from somewhere foreign and the family which operates the restaurant basically built the structure from scratch, utilizing an existing barn. Or something to that effect. First came here in search of the pork tenderloin. Google pork tenderloin and you'll see some fiends who chase it all over the country. It's much better than the crapola I ate in DT Dyersville, but... I don't get it. Pork tenderloin is made from thinly sliced local hog with medium breading, fried to a golden Harold's Chicken color, placed on top of an undersized bun. Spices? None. Condiments, your regular friends off a burger. Taste? BLAH. The breading isn't flavored, the pork obviously isn't marinaded nor tampered with. Always got ice tea in the pickle jar, until 1 time I saw they offered some local root Iowa brewed beer in a 6 pack. Chilled 1 in a pickle jar, took the rest to a rafting camping trip up in WI. Country Junction is independently operated and majority of the items are made in-house - SKIP THE FRIES. Overall, the restaurant is a gem and as I was told, "the best in the city". even tho Dyersville seems to have a population of 500. Hey, beats the alternatives in Galena.
