When traveling, I try to avoid chain restaurants, but tonight I wanted a reliable, quality restaurant and this one met that requirement (and then some). Atmosphere: it's a loud, country music playing, restaurant with a bar. If you can't stand country music and peanut shells on the floor, then this is probably not the place to go. If you want a quiet, romantic meal; nope. However, if you love country music and beef (like me), then yup! If you want to sit at the bar to eat, you may or you can get a table (sometimes a wait is required due to the number of patrons). Food: Rolls and butter are amazing! They will bring you as many as your heart desires! Don't go overboard though, because there are appetizers and the main course yet. I usually don't get an appetizer because the main course fills me up. I ordered the Ft Worth Ribeye, Caesar salad, and sweet potato. The salads are large, so I try to eat a portion of it, but not all because I want to make it to my steak. The Caesar salad is definitely good. The steak was cooked exactly as I ordered, not too little, nor too much. The sweet potato was great as well. Staff: the waitress was fantastic (as I've come to expect from Texas Roadhouse)! She was attentive and made sure I had refills before asking as well as made sure everything was to my satisfaction. Great job!

Worst Texas Roadhouse ever. They do not know how to cook a steak let alone my meal. I got the roadkill with extra onions. I asked for it rare instead it came and was well done. My onions were brunt. They could not keep us supplied with dinner rolls and when they did come it was not hot like they should be. Complained to waiter and she did offer to make me another steak but after waiting half an hour I just wanted to get out of there and go across the street to Wendy's

For all the hype I've heard about Texas roadhouse from various people. We were very disappointed last night. The steak for a ribeye had a lot of fat and no flavor. I should have maybe tried the hamburger or the steak sauce. The steak fries were filled with grease and we could squeeze it out. Very disappointed when considering the cost with 2 drinks. On a brighter note the buns were amazing!!

Service was slow! I ordered the prime rib, medium rare, and it came out medium well. Wasn't a big deal and I still ate it. Staff was nice, but she was real busy, almost like they were short handed. Fried pickles are always good!

Great experience. Sat at the bar and Jeff was fun and friendly to everyone. 5 star on service. I ordered the bone in ribeye..good taste but a little fatty.

Trying to convey Texas in freezing Dubuque, Iowa? Yeah, I'd say it wasn't conveyed very well. However, this farmland community filled with John Deere paraphernalia wearing folks didn't really care if it's Texas-like or not. The place was absolutely packed at 6 pm for dinner on a Wednesday night. Business is good!! It was my first time here. I was shocked on how busy it was first off. It felt like the whole town came to dinner it was that busy. It reminded me to Lone Star Steak House with the peanut and shells all over the floor. I guess that's the Texan way. They didn't believe in clean floor or garbage can. They gave you a bucket for the shells, but no one used it. We were greeted so nicely and it was very scripted. Our hostess told me about the restaurant since it was my first time. That was great to get some background info on the restaurant. Once we sat down, out waiter came with a basket of hot rolls with cinnamon butter. Boy, were those rolls looked good!!! They tasted good too and I totally blew my low carb diet. I just can't resist hot warm bread and butter like I can't resist hot Texan men with smoldering eyes. They get me anytime. The waiter also sounded like he's following a script word for word. It was kinda funny but I appreciated that. I knew how hard it is to train employee to just fuckin say things right. The menu was extensive and prices weren't bad! I changed my mind so many times because several things sounded good. I ended up ordering a 6oz sirloin with mushroom, a cup of chili and baked potato. My boss ordered almost the same exact thing except he got a bigger steak. Again, I was shocked. The food was really good. My less than $10 steak was flavorful, lean, tender, and cooked to specification. The mushrooms were also delicious! I enjoyed the cup of chili as well. It was tasty. I was just super shocked on how cheap it was but the food was actually really good for the type of restaurant and the price. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I can't even lie or nitpick at it. It was also fun listening to so many pop or rock songs that had been converted to country songs. I spent half the dinner thinking.. Wait I knew this song....but it sounded so different. What song is this again?? Some sounded the same but some were barely recognizable. Cheap Trick's I want you to want me was pretty bizarre being played country style! The place was too loud for me. My ears were tired listening to the noise and the birthday yells. The line dancing was also too much for me. Otherwise, it was a great meal. When we made ourselves to the door, almost every staff greeted us thank you and to have a nice night per the script. To me, that was incredible. Yeah, it can sound very robotic; however, I couldn't believe the compliance of the staff to their rules and guidelines. The process was very consistent!! It's great to be acknowledged than not, scripted or not. I'd say that's a job well done in training. I'd go back again and I want to try their ribs next time. It's surprisingly a really good dinner in Dubuque, Iowa. I'll take my combine there next time.

We whent here after reading some other reviews. And can only say, WOW We all had the award winning ribs and they where what they said they where. Fall-off-the-bone ribs where amazing. The meat did fall of the bone just by looking slightly at them, and the taste was just enough bbq-y. The service was fast and flawless and with a big smile on our wonderful and cute waitress. :) Loved how the staff started to dance (square dance i think it was), in the middle of the restaurant. A nice little entertainment for the guests. If i ever go back to this town, ill definetly go back to this place

Ate here while on business Typical experience with this chain; great food and price. Sat at the bar, since seating was limited. Bartender Jeff was great. Prompt, friendly service and my steak was excellent. Another good experience at Texas Roadhouse.

I grew up on an iowa Farm that beef cattle. I know what a good cut off beef is. I can happily say that most off the steaks her are above average. I prefer the binrned in rib eye blackened and medium. I like my salad simple so I stick with the Caesar although you can get a lot with the house salad. We've always been promptly seated and served. You get what you fOr when ordering drinks.

Been awhile since we've eaten at Texas Roadhouse. Much better this time and the service was immensely better. Our meals were excellent.... and the bread could be a meal itself.

Definitely give this place a miss unless you enjoy canned corn and green beans, ribs that taste like the pre-made Lloyds ribs you get at the supermarket, and what were probably the most mild flavorless "hot" wings I have ever tasted. They did cook the steak nicely though I found it weird when the food runner dropped it off and said "please cut into your steak right away to make sure it's the temp you want" and the grilled shrimp was actually quite good. Also the service was great, our waitress was extremely attentive and the ,manager did take the ribs off when we didn't eat them. This restaurant was not my cup of tea though, I would have like fresher and more authentic barbeque flavors. Actually I would have just liked more flavor.

My wife and I are always looking for a steakhouse we can enjoy for the food, as well as good conversation. This isn't it. Don't get me wrong. the food is good from the bread fresh out of the bakery to their steaks. My frustration is that the place is too noisy. That's right. Noisy. You just cannot have a conversation with the person across from you with the music cranked up and the wait help screaming at the top of their lungs. Sigh! Good food, lousy ambience. In the meantime, cue will continue to look for the elusive restaurant. Fried Green Tomatoes is great except for the drive to Galena. Maybe I need to learn to enjoy the drive...

My first impression of this restaurant was dirty...but then you can't really judge a restaurant by all the peanuts on the floor. I have yet to understand why there are so many peanut shells on the floor, but I have fallen in love with their food. First off I have to say that their honey/sweet bread they offer is delicious alone, but when you eat it with their cinnamon butter...it's like heaven. I felt like such a pig because I almost ate all the bread. I think if you try the bread if you never had it before, but I would also save room in your stomach for their ribs. They were simply delicious. They tasted like they just came off the grill, the meat just fell off the bones, and their sauce was sweet, but not too sweet. It tasted like the the ribs were based in their sauces over several hours. And as for their sides, I tried their chili (my friend's side), mashed potatoes with gravy, and baked beans. I think I have found a competitive for Gott's chili. It was spicy, ground beef, beans and just tasted amazing. Their bake beans were sweet with prices of ribs in it. And their mashed potatoes heavenly. It was filled with a ton of gravy that had a ton of flavor and seasoned right. I loved the fact that their potatoes had pieces of their skin in it and larger pieces in it. Overall, I thought this place had the best ribs around so far... I have yet to find a better place.

Had a very memorable celebratory steak dinner here. I had the rib-eye, and it was definitely above the median of my extensive rib-eye experience. Not a world-beater, but a great, no-nonsense steak and accompaniments.

It was definitely noisy, the food was good, the employees were great. Our biggest problem was that even with calling ahead we had problems seating our large group. Overall, worth going back again.
