PB&J Burger? Totally freaking gross! What a waste of a meal...

This was my first trip to Decorah, will definitely go back to T Bocks. I went there twice yesterday. It's a fun sports bar with decent bar food and a welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress Abigail was having fun with us as we gave her a hard time and that really sets the tone for any establishment. If the serving staff is having fun, patrons will have fun. I had the Chumler, delicious! We also ordered a side of the beer battered fries... amazing.

Went there after basketball game, a little apprehensive after some of the reviews. Service was excellent, friendly staff that was very attentive. Great beer choices and good food! We will go back when in town!

Four of us drove to Decorah to see a concert at Luther College. We stopped at T Bocks before the show for dinner and drinks. On the plus side: cheap prices, free popcorn, and free peanuts. On the other hand: the food was quite mediocre. My mushroom and swiss burger had mushrooms and cheese on it, but little taste. It came with potato salad (which was ok), pickles (cheap sliced ones, not a good tasting spear) and carrot sticks. I'm not against carrots in general, but these nasty old things looked like they had come from the bottom of the fridge and had been lost there for sometime. Just sorry, shriveled up little things. Why even bother to put them on a plate? The service was fine, but the happy hour was misleading. The sign on the table says all taps on sale except (and then they named some beers not included). However, upon ordering our second round of drinks (it was upposed to be 2-4-1 during happy hour), we were told that no, happy hour only applies to one solitary beer and we had not ordered that particular beer. What the what? That's definitely not what the sign stated, but we were in a good mood on account of heading to a concert so we didn't fight it. Verdict: If you just want cheap drinks, this bar is your place. If you care about food at all, try one of Decorah's other restaurants. I can't imagine they could be any more mediocre than T Bocks.

Very overpriced!!! I ordered the grilled chicken southwest sandwich. The menu said it came with pickles and the "signature" carrots. My sandwich came with 2 carrots, raw, the size of my pinky. I did not want the pickles. No chips. No fries. I asked for a gluten-free bun. The menu said the sandwich cost $7.25, but I was charged $8.25. They did not tell me there was a $1 up charge. No explanation for the extra $1. Cokes cost $2.50. The sandwich was a mess. The bun was not toasted. I had to use a fork to eat it because there was way too much dressing. Not great. Won't go back.

Food is bar food no further explanation necessary. Service is awful. No one will wait on you. Then when you do get waited on, the servers (knowing they won't have to actually do anything) will all start coming to your table to ask you if you need anything. Duh! I just got my drink after a long wait but thanks for your concern. If you are having a refill, expect another long wait because apparently there is a one drink limit. Alot of the locals avoid this place for that reason alone. I notice Luther students in here with their parents quite often. I suppose when mommy and daddy are paying and you are a student it is probably the only place to take them. Maybe that is what keeps the place in business.

45minutes for food.. Food was sub par and not one refill the entire visit. Don't waste your money.

We stopped in for a quick drink and to watch the Olympics during Nordic Fest 2012. The bar is awesome sports bar with great drinks with great happy hour. The onion rings were quite good. For a town of this size...finding a bar that could be in any large city is hard to come by. This bar could easily be located somewhere else. Some of the other bars here in Decorah well....when you go into those bars...you know you are in Iowa...tucked away in smallville. This bar you don't get that feeling.
