I'd heard this place had "big burritos". I kept meaning to try it. Well, as it turns out, yes, they have "big burritos". But really, that misses the description I'd have understood better: It's a variation (well really not even a variation) on Chipotle. That said, it was a lot less crowded. It was good. It was fast. And it's a lot closer to my house that Chipotle is. I've only been once so far. I really can't tel the difference, other than that the one thing I missed was the Cilantro Rice. They had rice, but it wasn't the rice I've come to love at Chipotle. Don't let that stop you though if you love what you've tried at Chipotle. I apologize for the multiple comparisons, but to me, I'm not sure I'd have even known I was anywhere different were it not for the different name and different rice... So anyway, it's four stars to me, because I'm thinking Chipotle would get four stars too if I were to rate it. Oh! And the employee noticed my military-affiliated credit card and told me there was a military discount! Score an extra bonus for Panchero's!

Kinda a cross between Subway & a buffet but in the Mexican sense of a meal. Build ur entree then add condiments. Pretty somple concept. Young guy maybe the mgr at the register instructed me on the fine points of how to order. Good food! Gr8 service all the way around! I had the shrimp scampi tacos and enjoyed them. Check it out! A slight cut above fast food.

Out of all the places like this (Qdoba, Chipotle) Panchero's is definitely the best. Maybe it is because I have a man crush on one of the employees. (talking to you Connor ;) ) Maybe it is because they fresh press their tortillas. Maybe its because their burritos are huge. Maybe its because their veggies always taste fresh n' crisp. Dunno.. I'm not a scientist so I can't quantify it, but this place rules.

Pancheros has been our goto place for fast-food Mexican in the area. I haven't been to Chipotle, so I can't compare them. I like the way you order your food, like at Subway, where your food moves down a line and different people do different things. The burritos are HUGE and very filling. I haven't had anything else there. I can't add anything to the bread discussion as I'm trying not to eat any (fattening). I like the low carb option of mixing it all up in a bowl. I also like how you can customize your food by adding extra meat (at extra cost of course) and other things. The only reason I dropped my review down a notch is that I thought the food was a little bland, compared to real "sit down" restaurants. I suppose that's to be expected, though. I've been to Q'doba once or twice but, since I'm laying off the bread, can't put in my $0.02 about the difference from Panchero's. I thought both places were bland vs sit-down places.

Food was good. Not great. Had a bowl with rice chicken and pork and corn salsa. Also had the chips and queso. Queso tasted like Velveeta. My friends said they really like the fresh made tortillas for the tacos and burritos

Don't go to chipotle! Go here! I get quesadillas every time, with cheese, pico, guac, sour cream. Soft and chewy and perfect amount of salt. Clean restaurant and quick staff. Oh and the queso! I could drink it. Best in the QC. Love this place.

Got here late on a Sunday. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They took good care of me. Food was tasty. I would return.

Employees didn't seem to be very friendly, but the burrito was actually really good. The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 4 was because it wasn't very hot.

From a once very loyal customer, do not waste your money at this establishment!! I used to work next door to Panchero's, and would frequently dine in and carry out for lunch and dinner. As of late, employees are disheveled, rude, and inconsiderate. At one point I gave a worker my order while he talked to his girlfriend on his cell phone. While I wasn't a fan, it was just before they closed and I was more interested in food than service. Today was the final straw. My fiancé ordered two burrito bowls, each with different ingredients, and they completely botched the order. When they put hot salsa in her bowl when she ordered pico - and she made them aware of the mistake - the employee said he can't just throw food away. On top of that, everything was cold, the lettuce was brown, and they didn't want her to stay long because they had to mop the floor. Embarrassing excuse for either a restaurant or a business!

Almost a clone of chipotle or qdoba, etc. They press their tortillas. Good flavor and would recommend if you like the food-fast concept of mexican and haven't tried it yet. Prices are fair.

Panchero's catered my wedding on July 6th. From the first meeting with the manager, Brad, it was an extremely positive experience. He was a fun guy, but it was obvious that he wanted the day to be perfect for us. The food was fabulous and was a pleasant surprise for our guests. I can't tell you how many times guests walked by with heaping plates, smiles on their faces, giving me the thumbs up. After dinner, Brad packaged every last bit of left overs, labeled the containers, and put them in the refrigerator. Which can in handy, as no one wanted to cook for days afterward. My overall experience with Panchero's catering was fabulous and I highly recommend them to others looking to serve a crowd.

Great good. The company is Iowa based, which is a plus for me. They make the tortillas fresh when you order. The only draw back for me, is the distance from my house.

I love this place. Not your typical Mexican restaurant so don't expect that when you go. Overall it's better that Q'doba, it's closest restaurant type. Why? While almost everything created equal at both places, Panchero's freshly makes, presses and grills their tortillas while Q'doba pulls theirs from a plastic bag and steams them. Not only does this impart better flavor to the tortilla, but I find that Q'doba's steamed tortillas stick in my teeth. Plus Pancheros has fairly recently added fresh onion and cillantro you can add, while Q'doba does not. And for the record, I've had Chiplote a few times as well, and they're all about on par with each other. But Pancheros wins overall with the fresh grilled tortillas.

Very good food here! This place is better than the Qudobas and Chiplotes in my opinion for a couple reasons. First is they make their tortillas fresh when you order. They take the dough and press it when you order your item, and that beats taking a tortilla out of a bag and steaming it. Second is their chips and queso, it easily beat the stuff that Qudoba has and Chiplote doesn't even have some. I normally go for the burrito but have had their tacos and they are just as good.

The menu is similar to a Chipotle, Burrito Beach, or Qdoba, with the presentation even looking similar. I would consider the prices on par with other 'burrito-bar' style restaurants. The food quality was below that of Chipotle, Burrito Beach, or Qdoba. The highlight was the fresh pressed flour tortilla shell. They start your burrito by pressing a dough ball and then grilling it. Unfortunately it was all down hill from there. Over all the experience was worth trying a new restaurant, if for nothing else but to remind me how good other 'burrito-bar' restaurants are.

Love their steak burrito, food is well priced in regards to how much food you get for your dollar. I always go here for my burrito fix.

I patronize Panchero's frequently. It's close to work. I usually get a salad with no tortilla. The staff are laid back and cool. I dig their fresh ingredients, grilled veggies, and brewed ice tea.

I would pick this place over Chipotle and Qdoba. Best tortilla, blue corn chips and they use these spatulas to mix the ingredients before the wrap! Finally someone gets it that a bite of just sour cream is funny but not ideal. I like the queso and meats at qdoba better and the guac better at chipotle. Just wish we had one in Billings, MT.

I really enjoy visiting this place, the tortillas are definitely a highlight. The employees are always really friendly, too! I would like to note that the tortillas are not vegan-friendly. An employee let me know the last time I visited and this was confirmed when I emailed their marketing department. Their tortillas contain milk powder. Bummer! I'll still go back for burrito bowls because they now offer tofu and it's delicious!

I have spent many days fantasizing about Pancheros. Pancheros was the first burrito place I ever went to. Their fresh made tortillas and creamy queso has ruined all other burrito places. Qdoba and Chipotle are no where near as delicious as Pancheros.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
