Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I was in town for an MMA fight and we soon began to realize that Iowa closes up pretty early when it comes to serving food. After going to another place around 11:00pm that no longer served food....we were told to come here. We ordered several orders of wings that were really good and shared a sausage/bacon/spinach pizza. I don't know if it was hunger or what not, but that pizza was delicious. I really loved the cheese! Great place to stop for a late night bite.

This place is home a distant reminder of late nights and great times in Iowa City. This is hands down my favorite place in the QC to grab a pie. The Chicago style is life changing. Order a large with mozzarella and cheddar can't go wrong. Great drink specials as well.

This is by far the best pizza place in town. Their ingredients are so flavorful and you can tell quality and freshness! If you haven't tried their wings...you're missing out! LOVE THIS PLACE!

Pretty good pizza. This is part of a small local chain around Iowa And Wisconsin. I think there are about a dozen of these around. Deep dish is their specialty--takes awhile to bake which gives you a chance to enjoy a couple of drinks from the bar. Nearby Parking can be tough to find. I'll be back. Waitress was cute and friendly.

Ok pizza. Came expecting "by the slice" options only to have none available. Ordered a small pizza & are currently waiting 45+ minutes. Don't waste your time or money. Go to Harris.

I had the pepperoni, roasted red peppers, garlic and mushroom pizza called The Mason. The pie, a thin crust, was super tasty and I ate more than I should have but very good. They need a classic Margherita pizza. A little heavy on the garlic but still good. A little more staff training on pizza and ingredients but that was minor. Bartender was friendly and capable of carrying good conversation with all the patrons. I will return. Buon apetito

First time eating here stopped in for lunch Have a good lunch special for about $6 pizza (2 slices and a drink) I ordered the cheese garlic bread was actually really good. If you like garlic this is for you. I think would have to have the cheese on it otherwise might be a bit overbearing I ordered the ready sliced pizza ( part of the special). One piece was rely dry like had been in the display window all morning (and they had only been open 45 minutes) The second came later and was like it was right out of the oven Overall I like the place but I would want a fresh piece next time. Hoping to try more of the styles they have next time for the pizza Staff was great and attentive to anything I needed Thanks

This place was gross. We got spoiled cheese in our Parmesan, soggy mozzarella sticks and just strange tasting pizza. The Pepsi was good tho.

Ordered delivery. A sub and cheese bread. It's decent. It was well seasoned but my order was a half hr late and was nearly cold. I won't do take out again. Garlic bread: soaked with olive oil with cheese and a blend of spices over top. Lightly crunchy(thumbs up) Well seasoned. Con: too much oil! Bread was soggy Hawaiian sub Again, not very warm, Reminded me of dominoes subs with better bread. I would like to try a deep dish.

The Fat Falbo sandwich was greasy and the Caesar dressing was rancid! The meatball sandwich was ok. We waited about 30 minutes for our sandwiches to-go. I'd say skip this one.

Late night dine in had mediocre service at best. Had to go to counter and check on our salad after 15-20 minutes which was just sitting there. Sorry for interrupting your convo bro. Food was decent for a late night joint as well. Tried them again for delivery and waited over two hours. Had to give the driver directions (annoying but not that big a deal). Called multiple times inquiring and kept getting different stories (almost done, super busy, walking out the door, not sure why it's not coming up in the computer). Didn't offer any discount or attempt to keep a new customer. Food was cold and over priced for togo quantity. Last order unless I'm just grabbing a slice to go. Two stars for hours of operation, variety on menu, salad and pizza.

Really enjoyed Falbo's! Fun atmosphere, really good service and really good pizza. Tried the thin crust and it was excellent. We will definitely be back. Worth a try!

To-die-for pizza. The crust here is MY favorite kind - substantive without being too doughy. I don't mind it when my kids don't eat the crust - more for me! Pleasant service and good selection of local beers. Live music from time to time is a plus!
(5)Mike N.
Ridiculously slow service. 25 minutes for a salad and a sandwich at noon? I dont think so Food sucks. Yuk! Not recommended.

I went to Falbos with my aunt for dinner on a Saturday. We waited 5 minutes for a table to be cleared off and be sat. I got the Falbo sub and my aunt got the garlic chicken sub. The service was bad. We waited 45 minutes for 2 subs. When they came out with the food my aunts sub was wrong and she had to wait another 10 minutes for it. Our drinks never got refilled. The food was amazing but I would much rather take it to go

Went around 4pm on Saturday, place was pretty busy. Service was not great. Waitress never refilled my son's soda. Would have ordered a second round of drinks, but it wasn't offered. Highlight was the pizza. We got the stuffed crust and it was very good. The atmosphere was disappointing. There was a table of young men next to us that were really loud and using foul language. Made our meal less enjoyable. I will likely get the pizza to go in the future as it was very tasty.
(4)Nick B.
Below average pizza. Likely to not go back. In an area with so many great pizza places this one just doesn't do it. Crust was really good but toppings seemed cheap and really dragged down the pie. They call it a pizzeria but it comes off as more of a bar that just happens to serve a lot of pizza.
(2)Nancy P.
The wait for a medium pizza and small cheese sticks was 30 minutes. We arrived 15 minutes early and they weren't close to being ready. The place wasn't busy for a Saturday night. We also ordered nacho cheese sauce, which they never gave us. We didn't realize that until we got home. The pizza had all the toppings in the middle (center), which I wasn't fond of. I like my toppings spread out. The cheese sticks were good. I probably won't go out of my way for them again.

By far the best pizza place in the Quad Cities! I took my fiancé and her two kids here the other day. Even my future stepson, who is a very picky eater loved the deep dish style pizza. It took a little longer for the deep dish pizza, but it was definitely worth the wait. The staff was friendly and very attentive. I was so impressed with the service that I asked the manager for a comment card to give some recognition to his staff. Keep up the great service guys!

Don't order it to go.....told us 30-35 at 5:30. I showed up to pick the Pizza at 6:12 and paid. I was then told the pizza wasn't ready yet, after another 18 minutes the pizza was placed in front of me with a very hap hazard "thank you". No mention of "Sorry for the wait" or anything. Good thing my 3 year old was watching frozen in the car with his mother, so he was still in good spirits. So Disney gets my five stars tonight. Suggestion for management: customer service will make you or break you, (1) get rid of the girl more preoccupied with her cell phone and find someone that will keep your customers coming back (2) when you tell your customer something, stick to it, and when it's not possible, a quick apology makes a huge difference. Ps: the pizza is great, and that is the reason for the two stars.
(2)Caitlin N.
Not too bad for pizza. Ordered the deep dish and expected an actual deep dish pizza. Was regular pizza with a thicker breading. Not like Chicago style. Mozzarella sticks were a bit soggy too.
(3)Debbie M.
Decent pizza. We got thin crust taco and pepperoni. Salads are good. Bit if you're staying at a hotel, like we were, make sure to mention. They did not bring a fork plates or napkins.
(3)A S.
Prepare to pay big price for mall tasting pizza if you get it by the slice. Nasty. IF I come again, will order something fresh made and without their tomato sauce. Gross. Their tomato sauce is thick and they put it on thick too. It reminded me of spaghetti sauce at the Spaghetti places around the area. All I tasted was the sauce more than anything. If you want pizza on the go, you are better off stopping at a Casey's or a gas station to get better pizza. That's how bad the pizza by the slice is. Will go again in the future ONLY to order a fresh pizza to try. And the price thing says under $10....no, small pizza's are over $12.50...

Best pizza in the Quad Cities. I love the Iowa City store, and this location is even better. Fantastic customer service too. Our server was quick to refill our drinks and got our check quickly when we had to run.
(5)Emma E.
Do NOT order pizza by the slice. Stale, old, not even warm, super hard tasteless crust. One of the worst pizzas I have ever had.
(2)Travis K.
The wings are great!!!! And the pizza is delicious I would suggest the Arizona ranch pizza thin crust!!!
(5)D Patrick S.
Glad I finally tried Falbos! I've been hearing from many people how good the pizza was and there were right. I've been in there a few times now and have had nothing but great food and service. The pizza by the slice was great for lunch and you can't beat that price! Can't wait to go back and try something new!
(5)Jenni R.
They must not use yeast in the dough. The pizza crust was horrible, like just flour and water, just horrible. It was so hard you could break a tooth. We got the deep dish and the crust was thin cooked in a deep dish pan. Now the topping were good. I liked the sausage and the sauce was tangy good. We got the Memorial Day special for $20. Large pizza 2-Liter and bread sticks. The bread sticks was that same horrible dough burnt with just oregano on top of it, No butter or oil. These people should try it themselves and see if they would eat it. The only thing wrong is the crust, If you can call it a crust. I had big hope for this place because the location is good.

I have been a fan of Falbo Bros Pizzeria since my college days at the University of Iowa. When I found out that Falbos was coming to Davenport, I was excited to have such a wonderful restaurant come to our downtown. So far, I have not been disappointed. The food has been excellent and it actually tastes like the Iowa City store! I think it tastes better! I am quite fond of the deep dish pizza and I usually stick to the regulars: sausage, Ben's Other, and cheese. Lately I have decided to step out of my "comfort zone" and try the chicken parmesan pizza, as well as the breakfast pizza served at the Bix. Pretty delish! I am guessing that it was the owner of Falbo Brothers Pizza who served me that BIX day - the quote-unquote "Chris Farley" that Jennifer D. so rudely describes in her critique of the restaurant. The gentle giant, and I am guessing former football player, seems far from her description. To me, he was accommodating, friendly, and very genuine. He shot the breeze with me and told me about his dream of following in his father's footsteps. He even showed me the picture of his father near the front of the store. This "Chris Farley" analogy seems uncalled for and CHILDISH for a 48 year old grandmother to be using in any context. I thought this was a restaurant critique, not a personal attack website. :) It is too bad that a few people on Yelp! have had a bad experience with Falbos. This food is different from the Quad Cities' typical pizza and provides yet another great pizza option for our area. I really think that a second chance is worth it.

We got a medium stuffed sausage pizza and it was VERY good. The crust is nothing but a means of moving the filling from your plate to your mouth but that's what crust SHOULD be. The sauce was well-seasoned, not over powering. The sausage and cheese were plentiful and nicely balanced. I never thought I had a mouthful of only sausage or only pizza. For $15 we had enough pizza for 2 grown men to eat and enough for each to take some home. It's self-service at the counter but the employees were very helpful and friendly. They are open late on weekends. I'll be back.

Amazing pizza! Loved the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Pizza! Don't know what the hates are up to but this is an amazing place.
(5)Hilary S.
Pizza is ok. Their service is horrendous! We ordered fries and they were burnt. Asked for a new order same thing. Can't say that I would return.
(2)Jill K.
Best pizza ever! Except the 5-meat, after a night of drinking. I don't recommend that idea. Otherwise, ALWAYS. A crowd pleaser!
(5)Sean N.
Best pizza I've had so far in quad cities!! From Chicago and this is the closest I can find to anything comparable to pizza back home.. Great prices, sausage green pepper deep dish is my favorite. Their deep dish kind of resembles Sicilian style but still very good. Falbos cheese sticks are also extremely good! Great place for a nice sit down meal.
(5)Josh S.
Fantastic location in downtown davenport. Friendly staff that serves up something a little different compared to the normal QC style of pizza. Great lunch special for the on the go folks for lunch!

If I could give this rating no stars, I would. The service at Falbos is horrendous. My fiancée and I ordered a pizza and they advised me it would be a 50 minute wait, which is fine, we had errands to run. We drive downtown and searched for a spot to park and at around 8:05pm we go up to the carryout counter and advised the man manning the front counter that we were there to pickup up our carryout order which was simple. We ordered a large stuffed pepperoni and black olive pizza, pretty simple, right? Nope! The man asks us 5 times what we ordered, yes 5 times! He walked back and forth like he was searching when turns out, there was no record of my order. He then proceeded to undermine me and ask what number I called, are you freaking serious? I know I called the right phone number because the guy that answered said 'falbos can you hold?" If that isn't clear enough, I do not know what it is. When the guy finally tells us he does not have our order, he then stands there briefly and walks away. No apology, no compensation for our 50 minute wait! We ended up going to Wise Guys and it was delicious. I will never come back to Falbos as long as they continue to have poor service and incompetent staff. I know mistakes happen but come on, if the guy taking our order truly did take it, why didn't he call us back and ask for our information if he could not hear me. It was live music night and pretty loud but that is no excuse to not place someone's order because you cannot hear them. I even showed him my phone log of what phone number I called and the time and he did not even care, he cut me off and asked for my phone number and said he could not find the order in the system. My fiancée plans to call and speak with the manager tomorrow. Very disappointed because Falbos had pretty decent pizza.
(1)Carl C.
Overall, bland taste. We ordered two pizzas; the thin crust had a burnt crust while the "deep dish" was doughy and undercooked. We really wanted to like this place, but were disappointed.
(2)Dee W.
ordered the medium alfredo deep dish pizza. decent sized for a medium. the menu said grilled chicken with white alfredo sauce. the chicken looked and tasted like canned (bland, small flaky bits of chicken and a lot of juices) The pizza was not deep dish at all, and it tasted soggy because of the chicken juice? the alfredo sauce was non existent. The cheese topping was the only thing that tasted fresh, real or good. I wish it would have been better. I love me some good pizza.

I'm going to preface this review by saying that I love the food at Falbo's and was excited when I learned one was opening in Davenport. We've eaten there a couple of times so far, but our experience last night left something to be desired and I felt like I needed to voice my opinion. My boyfriend and I ordered delivery at about 5:45pm on Sunday night and were quoted 45 minutes. After an hour and a half had passed, I decided to call to check on our food. I was informed by the employee who answered the phone that our food was walking out the door and he apologized for the delay. We live approximately 10 minutes from Falbo's, and 30 minutes later still hadn't received our food. The delivery driver then called to verify our address and make sure he was going the right direction (??). So, 2 hours and 15 minutes from our original call, the delivery driver finally pulled up, clueless as to how late our food was getting to us. We were extremely disappointed in the service we received, and the quality of the food was less than what we are used to getting from Falbo's. Working in restaurants ourselves, we are typically very understanding of these situations but felt the service was extremely lacking this time around. We would have gone to pick our food up if we had known it would have taken so long. I sincerely hope that management addresses these issues, as I would like to see Falbo's stick around for a long time.
