I went to LPL's for the first time last week with my wife and parents and it was a pleasent experience. My dad told me to try the Prime Rib or the Pork Tenderloin sandwich, which he claimed was huge. I chose the Pork Tenderloin sandwich, which was just okay to me. The Pork Tenderloin sandwich was pretty massive, but kind of one note'd. The pork was kind of soggy and not crispy like it should be, and the bread was really soft, not toasted like they advertised. The pork itself didn't have a whole lot of flavor either. The fries were okay though. For what you get, the price is a pretty good deal. Overall, I wouldn't get the Pork Tenderloin sandwich again, but would like to try something else.

My parent-in-laws rave about LPL's and go there quite often. I've never been, as most people don't associate a bar with a family style restaurant. I was happy/surprised that they had a tuna melt. Tuna melt was great and served with crinkle cut fries. Portion size is no issue here. Staff was really nice and the place was decent. The outside does not scream restaurant.

I've never had a bad meal here. The tenderloin is famous in the area and I've had it probably twenty times. It has a homemade bun that is just awesome!!! The giant chandelier gives the place a funky feel, not to mention the rolling lounge chairs. This place will not disappoint, especially at lunch.

Prime rib on thursday, friday, and saturday. $16 for a regular size prime rib with choice of pasta/green beans, baked potato/fries, and soup or salad. So good! Great deal. Divey bar but solid food. Just a stone throws away from both main st downtown and lake manawa shopping center.

The food is not that great and the staff was very rude. I called before I came in and the person who answered the phone simply said, "do not call in the middle of lunch" and hung up on me. Horrible customer service, very rude.

This is bar food at its best. Service is very good. At times get busy, but they work for you.

We went LPL after a round of golf at Dodge Riverside in search of the elusive Holy Grail of Breaded Pork Tenderloin sammich. The Alibi (when Stidd or Jimmy Ronk were cooking) achieved BPT Nirvana 30 years ago but a damn fine Tenderloin has been hard to find since. I've eaten at Darrels in Hamlin,IA and they get it. After my trip to LPL, I have to say they get it too! Tried Sugars (thick gristle laden), Barretts Barleycorn (oh so close) but LPL gets the nod. Nice, clean, good service and Tenderloin that would make Bob Sweet proud! Check it out, cya there
