Best soup place in Cedar Rapids. The greatest variety of any place I have ever eaten for soup. My personal favorite is the chicken tortilla with the cheddar potato a close second. There are some soups that I don't like but this place has enough choices I always leave full and oh yea. They have retry good wraps and sandwiches too.

Great soup. Great salads. they have selection of eight soups that are in very well. The staff is always friendly and there is always typically a line around lunch because their food is so good. Personally, I recommend the chicken enchiladas or chicken tortilla soup and the turkey chili for soups. The fajita chicken salad is very good and the garden salad with chicken.

Stopped in on a frosty Monday morning for breakfast. THE PLACE WAS FREEZING. The employees were wearing jackets, it was that cold. Something to be said about heating the main room of your business to a comfortable temperature. The breakfast menu is short and to the point.I ordered a breakfast sandwich on croissant with Turkey eggs and bacon, but could have picked a number of different ingredients. It was loaded up, a decent amount of everything, then toasted in a panini maker. For under $5 it was quite satisfactory. Fortunately I had another place to eat, I can't understate how cold it was in the dining room. The employees say it's always that cold. Could have gotten for stars but for this serious issue. Brrrr.

This place is awesome, great soups and really good sandwiches. It's a hot lunch spot for those people who work downtown Cedar Rapids. This little secret soup shop is perfect for a cold day or if your just looking for a good cup of soup any time.

Very good, healthy food. They have sandwiches, soups, salads paninis and wraps. We tried a soup, and a couple of paninis. All were very good. Service was friendly. Generally a sandwich, drink and chips cost around $10. Pretty reasonable. Music selection in the dining room was eclectic, and ranged from the Talking Heads to Frank Sinatra. Nice, fresh and healthy breakfast and lunch place in downtown Cedar Rapids.

I perhaps came to this one today with too high of expectations. I was hoping for something that tasted homemade with new and unusual soups that I had never had before but it didn't quite live up to that. I ordered the special soup of the day which was minestrone and 1/2 of an Italian sandwich. The soup and sandwich were good. If I worked downtown I am sure this would be a regular lunchtime stop for me as I know I would get something solid and convenient. However, I probably would not make a special trip in just for it. Staff was nice and offered a free tasting of any soup which was appreciated.

New soup today, Cilantro Lentil...holy f bombs. soooo yummy. This vegetarian soup was perfectly seasoned, loaded with veggies, and served up with a smile :) This is still my favorite downtown lunch spot. All these years, the love is still fresh.

Hey! This place is GREAT! My guy and I are on a cross-country trip and always look for healthy stops along the way (particularly those with gluten-free and salad options). What a terrific surprise this place was. Friendliest manager ever, and Mulligatawny Soup on the menu (pretty much my favorite soup of all time, and even better, this version had chicken) - HOWEVER, I couldn't eat it because it was made with wheat flour (dammit). I did try a taste and it was incredible (yes, they give samples, happily), and I had gazpacho instead (awesome). And then they have toppings, wow. Soup and salad were just over $6, which for what we had was a great deal. Also, for the non-GF, bread also comes with. Salads are also TERRIFIC. I wish this place were near my neighborhood, I'd go here all of the time. (And hey, Mr. Manager, pleeeeease render your soups glutard-friendly and replace the standard flour with cornstarch, rice flour, or chickpea flour. Thank you!) Thumbs down for the new TVs, though... And as others have said, this place is invisible from the outside. Look for the Skywalk crossing the road and then enter the building with the circular courtyard in front of it, and go upstairs.

I went here with my family. It's on the skywalk level of a large building that houses law offices. This place is very, very good. They don't cheap out on the samples, it's a 2 oz. cup and the soups are delicious. It's very full, but nice and quiet. The menu has good variety. I personally tried the chipotle butternut squash soup and it was awesome, however the chicken tortilla was average. All in all, I liked it. Plus, all soups come with sourdough bread FOR FREE! Give it a try.

Simply great food. The staff is the best in Cedar Rapids. All fresh, handmade salads, soups and sandwiches. It is a little hard to find, but that makes it even more of a diamond in the downtown rough!

Impossible to find unless you know it's there. There is no street signage. One of the ground floor entrances to the building is padlocked, and once in, the lobby lacks any directory. The restaurant is on the skywalk level (SW in the elevator) The Butternut Squash soup was seasoned with a hint of chipotle, but the major flavor was definitely the squash. This was a thick, substantial soup. It was served with sage croutons made from real bread(!), not the little salt bombs you find on salad bars. Fantastic crumb & crust on the bread.
