Love this place. Very eclectic SE Asian menu. Clean & contemporary atmosphere. Service and wait time for food have been spotty, and the prices on some items seem a little on the high side. But I have never been disappointed by anything I've ordered.

Much needed place around the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. This is the only pho place in the area to my knowledge, glad they are around. Pho is good enough to keep the people coming back in. Broth is a little darker, decent flavor and nothing to different beyond that. Been here twice and it was fine both times. The eggrolls are worth a try as well. They have a good menu and fills a much needed hole in this area.

I've lived in LA and been to a lot of high class restaurants. It's a nice menu, clean restaurant, and the food is well prepared. One of the best restaurants to visit if you're in the area. Me and the ball and chain have been there a few times and never had a bad meal.

Service was great. My wife had pad Thai and I had one of the Vietnamese dishes that I cannot pronounce. Both were very delicious. Wish more of the Cedar Valley was brave enough to try something different like this.

Now this is good Thai!! I had ordered from Ginger house earlier today and was very disappointed with both the pad tai and the Thom yum. Not the case here. The Thom yum is spicy and rich as it should be with lots of mushrooms, tomatoes and meat. The pad see ew is great too. The noodles are thick, the chicken isn't just little cubes. Also ordered firecracker shrimp. Very good and had fresh vegetable slices. Good stuff all of it! If/when I come back, I'll likely try some of their pho. I expect it will be as good as my order tonight.

A nice surprise. Fresh veggies. Great flavors. Pleasant atmosphere. Not sure why others are ragging on the place, I have yet to have a bad experience, bad dish (have had 6 different meals there so far), or anything else negative to say. Kids love the Pad Thai. Wife likes the fact that you can increase the heat from 1 to 5. I love the fact that it doesn't break the bank to take a family of 4 out to dinner unlike some of the other national pre-processed salt induced coma chain restaurants that dot University Ave. I mean, it's not mind blowing food. Let's face it, we live in Cedar Falls, IA. There is not much around here that is mind blowing. What it is however is a good selection of fresh Asian cuisine in a family friendly atmosphere. I honestly do not think you can go wrong at least trying this place out.

I'll start by saying I give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe I went at the wrong time of night (7 on a Friday). We waited nearly an hour for our food (some pork egg rolls, red curry, and vermicelli). There were tables near us who were seated when we walked in, and they only got their food about 10-15 minutes before us. After waiting for my Jackfruit smoothie to be prepared, it was quite an enjoyable taste, somewhere between a banana and mango. I desperately missed the traditional tapioca balls or jelly though... it could have used it. The shredded pork egg rolls where very tasty too! They come with a rice paper wrapping and the same sweet/sour sauce they serve with the vermicelli. After having these two items, we grew increasingly hungry for our entrees. My vermicelli with slices pork and egg roll was pretty tasty, but I've had better down the road at Viet Noodle (where I can add in a red chili paste and hoisin sauce to my tasting). The red curry was a COMPLETE disappointment. It was like water flavored with spices. There was little to no coconut flavoring (which there should be in curry) and it was hard to finish. The only upside to the curry was the addition of eggplant. I didn't know there could be such a horrible curry in the Cedar Valley... Total, our bill was $32 for our appetizer ($4), two entrees($10 for vermicelli and $12 for the curry), and a smoothie ($4). I had the pad kee Mao at 3 peppers spicy and it was tasteless. The spice was a bit too much but that could have been my fault. Still the whole dish had no flavor and was just so dry. The only thing that was good was the tofu which is really hard to fuck up anyways. The appetizer was the shredded pork rolls which were ok but also extremely dry. I'm the end I drank more water than ate food and I wouldn't recommend either the food to anyone. Also the waiter barely came to fill our water and never asked how out meal was or what was wrong with my full plate of food that I didn't want to take with me, just charged us and made us wait for so long we just left exact change and left the resteraunt.

My fiancé and I were super bummed to find out Viet Noodle, a local Vietnamese restaurant, had closed. We were on our way to get some Japanese and out of nowhere we saw Asian Fusion! Tucked back in the corner of a strip mall parking lot. It is now our new official date spot! We started with the delicious spring rolls served raw, none of that fried crap! Then we moved onto the amazing beef skewers, and we split a Giant bowl of Pho. Definitely worth checking out!

This was an excellent surprise! My wife & I went here last night. I lived in Thailand for three years and my wife has gone there to Thailand with me several times, and we love Thai food. I had the sortam and Pad See Oo. Tasted great! The somtam had just the right amount of spice, and the Pad See Oo was loaded with shrimp. My wife was very happy with her Pad Thai. Really nice atmosphere, and we'll definitely be back again.

I absolutely loved the Pad Thai with chicken. Delicate flavor and pleasing presentation. My food arrived fairly quickly. The server was friendly and attentive. He offered to refill my drink 3 times. And because I was rather thirsty, I accepted each time. The establishment was clean, beautifully designed and spaciously arranged. We chose to sit in a booth. Normally, I prefer tables. But these booths provided such an abundance of elbow room that I actually felt quite comfortable. The price of my meal with the Pad Thai, a Diet Pepsi, and tax was $12.84, which seems to me like a reasonable price for Thai food. Overall, a pleasant experience.

My wife and I tried this place about 6 weeks ago. We had a pretty good meal, but wanted to try it again before making a recommendation. It took quite awhile before we were served. Unfortunately, we ended up getting charged for two bills. I'm partially at fault. The waitress handed me a bill and it was for an amount that seemed about right and had the right drink and one of the entrees -- so I looked no further. Then I realized that this was NOT our bill. I notified the waitress and she got the right bill (which was actually slightly less). She assured me that the first charge would not go through. Well it did. I have made three trips to the premises to try and sort this out. There is no manager on site. The manager for Sakura doubles as the manager here -- IF they can pry him away. I have talked to the manager in person and gave him all of my credit card information and made two other trips and left messages that I wanted to talk to the manager -- to no avail. I am really, really not happy.

Totally over priced for what you get. The menu is very hard to understand. It would be better to leave off the fancy font and just stick to plain English. When you get your bill they print on the bottom what a suggested gratuity would be, get real. Probably will not go back just for the small things that rubbed me the wrong way.

We've been to this thai-vietnamese restaurant twice. It's descent quality vietnamese food, fresh and well prepared, without dazzling. We've had the bahn xeo, crisp savory vietnamese crepes, which where really good. Chewy and crispy and full of fresh veggies. We tried a vietnamese rice dish too, with a somewhat bland meat loaf, and vermicelli with something that might be tribes or beef tendons. It was salty and yummy, and chewy to perfection. Pickled pieces of sweet cabbage and some rather dull meat. The first time we went here with our two kids, the server was down right rude, impatient and inattentive. The second time it was a lot better. I had the three flavor drink, which was also good, even though it was obviously from cans. The interior is minimalistic and clean. All in all, we did enjoy our visit. Possibly the best place to eat in the cedar valley

Alright I am officially in love. This place has a very misleading name. If you look at the name, it appears as a "fusion" type of restaurant. So regardless of the time we went by, we often time purely ignore this little treasure. Finally we pulled trigger and went, let's give it a try. The interior of the restaurant was very neat and modern, and the price certainly reflected that (still reasonable). The menu wasn't extraordinary lengthy, unlike most of uber authentic restaurants which tend to make you ended up feeling lost in translation and have to order "#Z108". To my surprise, 80% of listed item was very traditionally Vietnamese, with the weird 20% Thai stuff. We ordered an appetizer, Viet crepe. I went for my classic choice of Pho, and bf got something house special, which included a amazingly seasoned T-bone steak, fresh vege, rice noodle with meat, and egg-pork meatloaf. The crepe itself was wonderful, crunchy and perfectly done with shrimps (could be a little more generous) and fresh bean sprouts. The only complaint I would give is it was a little too greasy. The Pho was what I expected except the broth came up luke warm and little under salted. The house special was so good, I was jealous at him with the food. One bite gave so many different flavor, and it was a meal that would make you feel so full, yet still healthy. Drink wise, bf got young coconut water (with truly "young" coconut pieces lol). Very refreshing. I again went for the Viet coffee and, sigh, another fail. You better really LOVE espresso to drink that 5 shots size of coffee. Waiter was very nice and kept on checking on us to make sure we wasn't confused with what we want. My gut feeling is this place should truly be called a Viet restaurant, with that weird 20% Thai cuisine. Most of the negative review seems to focus on the Thai part and I guess I will just simply avoid them.

This is a mixed review. Price = 2 stars, Food = 4.5 stars, service = 4 stars. My entire family went, the place looked very appealing. We are transplants from Chicago, so seeing something that is "trendy" in smalltown Waterloo is a very refreshing feeling (Sorry, but once you've been scarred by a MAjor metropolis, you know you're a world away when you're someplace else, baring LA and NYC.). The bathrooms were immaculate, so were the table settings and the general ambiance. The entree's were $8-12, starting to get rather expensive for me. Although I am a cheap, stingy bastard, I was delightfully surprised that the portion sizes were larger to justify the higher price. I was barely able to finish my food and my wife packaged her's to go home. My kids had a fried rice to split and a pad thai. They all liked their food. I can't recall what my wife had, but it was the only viet dish that had the pepper symbol, her entree was soup-based and it was HUGE. Mine was a beef-based dish with rice noodles and an eggroll, both of ours were very good. We also had chicken satay and eggroll appetizers, all of it tasted good. The eggrolls were crispy, not too greasy, I liked the sweet and sour sauce. It went well with the rolls, but disappointed that there were only two rolls. Very delicious though! The peanut sauce for the satay looked different than I expected, but was flavorful and nicely sweet. It too went well with the satay, which seemed like it was "flash baked" because the outside looked/tasted very cooked with a certain crisp, but was very tender inside. Not to be confused with flash fried, it certainly wasn't fried. But it too was very tasty. The server was attentive, even descriptive of the dishes (I can imagine lots of people might come in here, many of which without any experience of the cuisine from this part of the world.). I'm sorry to hear of the other's bad experiences. We all had a great time, really good food, and the place was CLEAN (how many restaurants have bathrooms that look like a pit??).
