Friendly atmosphere and great food. Had a chocolate shake with my grilled club and both were delicious. Highly recommended.

We were in Carroll to visit my wifes family and we needed a place to eat. We didnt have much to choose from so decided to give Sam's a try. When we walked in the place had a small town nostalgic feel to it and the waitress was very friendly. We looked the menu over and everything was well priced with a good selection. I got the fried pork sandwich, the kids got a french dip and club. Everything looked pretty good. My only downfall was that everything lacked some sort of flavor. Fries, onion rings, sandwiches, everthing was bland. We ended up having to doctor them up with the sauces and condiments that we received. If in the area I suggest that you stop by and give it a try for yourself, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Had a wonderful experience. Waitress was friendly and the hot beef sandwich incredible. My favorite part was the fresh strawberry shortcake. Highly recommend the place.

I love small eatery's that strive to make simple homemade foods exceptionally well. Unfortunately, Sam's is not one of those places. They definitely try with the ambiance of local school banners, homemade caramel, rice crispies, homemade apple pie, and homemade soups. Regrettably, i have to say that all these "homemade" items are sub par. Generally, the food is edible, but expect the "homemade" malt shake you have is made from power malt with ordinary vanilla ice cream mixed in a modern "old fashion" looking Kitchen Aid mixer. They close at about 630pm on week days and 8pm on Saturdays, so come early! Bon Appetit...winning the hearts of food lovers one tummy at a time!

Maintains the right balance of nostalgia for the old time menus (shakes and malts, burgers and fries), yet has specials for that home cooked meal. Sam's always has great food, and friendly faces greeting you. Great mom and pop shop when you tire of the regular old fast food joint.
