Small, but so delicious! We came here two days in a row for breakfast and it was incredible! The best coffee, so smooth and delicious! This is a family run business and service can be a touch slow because there were only two waitresses in the whole building covering about 15 tables each it seems... But they did a phenomenal job! This place is inexpensive but huge portions. Both the caramel rolls and the cinnamon rolls are amazing! I very much enjoyed the cheesy hash browns and eggs... I would come back here in a heartbeat and so would all of my friends. Can't complain about anything! For the six of us the bill was about $55 and worth every penny. Don't miss this place!

Excellent breakfast stop!!! The food is consistently excellent and the service matches the quality of the food! Whether it's tourist season or the dead of winter koffee kup always puts their best foot forward to make sure that you have a great dining experience!

I absolutely love this little joint. I've lived at the Lakes for awhile and have watched plenty of Ma and Pa shops come and go, but this one is definitely meant to stay. Incredibly friendly environment and wonderful food. Prices are incredibly reasonable considering the prices down the road at Perkins or any other breakfast place in the Lakes. I tend to go there on the weekends during the fall and winter. The summers are quite crazy around here and Koffee Kup can become very filled up, but it is worth the wait! (I'm not a huge crowd person though). Anyway, I enjoy the staff, environment, and the food. Why not give it a try?

We had friends with us that had also loved The Koffee Kup and insisted we give it another try. We did and found that the food was much better. It seems like they went back to some of the original food (sausage patty for one). The food was a better quality and the service was decent. We will try it again when we are in town. I went with 3 stars as I'm not sure if it will continue to be better.

Cash or check ONLY. Short review: Save yourself the headache and drive down to Spirit Lake and eat at The Family Diner. Even though the waitresses there are kinda surly, they'll at least pay attention to you and your order. Plus the food at the Family Diner will be HALF the price and twice the portions. Cons: -watered down coffee -if you ask for creamer for said coffee, you will get skim milk (at least that's what it looked and taste like...) -waitresses that ignore your order -small portions -bleh tasting food -takes only cash or checks Pros: -location is in the heart of the lake area. I guess that's how they can get away with the cruddy service and lackluster food.

Was warned by a local that this was the only place open on a Tuesday after the season, but I couldn't find any where else for a little coffee. Should have gone to HyVee grocery store and brewed my own (and gotten the delish cinnamon bread). The coffee was not palatable and there was NO CREAM. really?? And their cinnamon roll tasted like wonderbread covered in icing. Who wants to bite into an unsliced loaf of wonder bread, dry and tasteless. My hubby had a waffle and didn't finish it. I have never seen him not finish a breakfast.......

Was looking for locally owned restaurant with breakfast. Cute small place. Didn't wait too long at 9:00 but when we left there was a long line. I had blueberry pancakes an egg and bacon. Others had biscuits and gravy and bottom of lake hash browns. Pretty bland and sausage gravy had no flavor. While it looks clean and cute the food is not great.

Don't come here if you are looking for a latte, cappucino etc. The only thing they serve is plain brewed coffee. Was busy so maybe breakfast is good but we were looking for a latte and cappucino.

Go here for the cinnamon rolls or pancakes & bacon, skip the rest. My eggs were overlooked eggs & coffee was really weak. They also didn't have cream for my coffee....it is called Koffee Kup right?

Visiting from California and I love this place. The food is menu is comfort, breakfast. Cooked from scratch, it's as close to homemade as you can get. And the servers check back several times to make sure it was prepared the way you wanted it. The prices are reasonable. The place was full yet the servers were friendly, got the orders right, kept coffee and water full and checked back several times to make sure I was ok. It is filled with friendly locals and tourists and everyone seems to be treated like friends. 5 Stars!

The Koffee Kup has been a long standing business in Okoboji that only serves breakfast and lunch and had good hearsay reviews from the locals. The food was okay however I had asked to get egg whites and the server said she did not want to ask the cooks as they would yell at her. She said this has happened to her before. I proceeded to ask her if I could ask them, she said they would probably yell at me as well. What an unfortunate work culture... I have high cholesterol and do not think this request is atypical. Separating the yolk from the white does not add significant cooking time and I would be more than happy to wait for the few extra seconds it takes to do this. Additionally, the group next to us wanted to have an omelet without a specific ingredient and they could not do this because they used a pre-mix for their omelets. Koffee Kup is a nice old place to eat however do not expect any type of special requests to be accommodated. I also hope at some point the cooks get a little nicer to the servers.

Probably the best breakfast restaurant at The Lake, Homemade rolls are amazing! A lot to choose from and everything tasted delicious. Seems to be a family-run business with kids helping out. The kids are great, very well-mannered and friendly beyond belief.
