It may be a little pricey, but I love this place! Chicken & gnocchi soup is the best. Went here multiple times and the only time I have ever had problems with my food was when we got take-out, so I wouldn't recommend doing that.

I should start this by saying I'm not a big Italian food fan. That being said the food was amazing! I ordered the Seafood Alfredo. The sauce was not too heavy (which is surprising as Alfredo is a heavy sauce) and the scallops and shrimp was fresh. The breadsticks served with the meal were soft and delicious. My husband ordered the Tilapia with shrimp in a white wine sauce. I was jealous! It was fantastic! The fish melted in your mouth and the wine sauce was phenomenal. Seriously I tried to steal his food---even offered to have a butter knife fight over it. The service was fantastic! The waitress was friendly and attentive without being too in your face. Best food and service I've had in a long time. Honestly why are you still reading this review? Get your butt their and enjoy a lovely dinner!

Came here with family on a Sunday afternoon, we had a party of 6 with 2 kids. Service was excellent! The waitress was very attentive and was quick to refill our drinks, breadsticks and salads. My girlfriend and I ordered the fried calamari and fried ravioli for appetizers, the calamari was good but the ravioli was a bit dry. For our main course we got the pasta that comes with the unlimited breadsticks and salad. The salad was amazing! It had olives, onions, tomatoes and banana peppers in it topped with croutons and freshly grated cheese. We got the rigatoni with spicy meat sauce with Italian sausage, and the rigatoni with sun dried tomatoes and bacon sauce with grilled chicken. Both had great flavor but after barely making a dent in our pastas, we were stuffed! The service here was great! Our waitress was nice and friendly but wasn't smothering us either. It was my first time here so I was very impressed that they bag your leftovers for you. She also gave our party about 20 mints at the end. Great service, good food, will return!

To Go Order Review: Placed a to go order go New Years Eve for pick up at lunch time!! Sasha called to confirm the order and make sure the details were correct. I ordered online via the mobile website and it was so convenient and easy! You can pay online or in store. If you create an account, they will send you a coupon! And you just have to go to the hostess stand to pick up. Order was perfect and ready right on time! Extra silverware and Parmesan packets were right in the bag which was super nice! Extra breadsticks were included as well! Order was great. I highly recommend the Gorgonzola steak Alfredo and the caprese flatbread! The bruschetta was also amazing as usual! Everything was packaged very nicely with the tomatoes for the bruschetta in separate container! I would recommend highly the to go service that Olive Garden offers! It makes dinner easy especially if you are having an event and don't want to cook!

I cannot even count how many Olive Gardens I've been to in my life, this one does not standout any different than a standard Olive Garden. Good food, friendly staff, great family atmosphere. A negative about not only this Olive Garden, but ALL the ones I've been to, THE WAIT DURING PEAK PERIODS ARE LONG! Now this is almost unavoidable and it reflects on the popularity and quality of this restaurant. Customers are mainly family and elderly people. Good relaxed atmosphere. No problems I experienced here, only been to this location once.

Where do you even start with this meal . Jake our waiter was so high he could not find his butt. Started by trying to take our order which he did not get right. Brought our drinks and spilled them across the table. He had a towel hanging from his belt but left to find one after most everything ran off the table he made it back wiping up only a bit of what he spilled. We did not see him for 15 minutes when he returned only to ask what we needed. He came back again only to dump the test of bread sticks on the floor. Wow. He has been gone again trying to get our appetizer that we ordered An hour ago. Now the good part manager comes and try's to fix things still no food. Now new waitress and had to order again. This has been an adventure.

If it werent for how much I kove the food, I woukd never return. I visit this location of olive garden often, each time hoping for a better experience, and alwayd let down. Today though was the straw. I got a large order togo for myself and my co-workers. I didnt even make it to the break room before the bottom if the bag fell out and soup went pouring everywhere! They did not have the lid on and it went everywhere! All over thr office and the other food. That was fun to clean up.... ugh its always something with them.

The service was terrible, they rushed us out and they didn't give us any bread sticks

The wait staff are excellent and the service is fast. The food just doesn't taste as good as I remember at the one in West Des Moines. Go mid- afternoon to avoid the rush.

Walked in, checked in, was told there was about a fifteen minute wait. Waited till the pager went off about fifteen minutes after we got there. Was seated near the window at a booth. Nice table but the sun was shining directly in my eyes. So I just sat on the other side next to my better half. Shortly after being seated our waitress came over to get drink order. When I had questions about the menu the waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. Ordered our food. About two minutes later our soup and breadsticks came out. I was thinking, "wow that was fast!" Soup was piping hot and breadsticks were nice and toasty. Finished our soup and breadsticks and the waitress came back and asked if we wanted more. I said sure expecting to get a few more breadsticks. I was very surprised when she came back with more breadsticks AND soup. I didn't know you get refills on SOUP also! That's awesome. Ate more soup and breadsticks. When we finished what we had our waitress asked us if we wanted more! I thought it would be awesome but I'd better save room for my meal. Then our food came out! Very hot and quickly too! Started eating the main course and quickly started getting full. Maybe I shouldn't of had that second bowl of soup, but it was so darn good! The waitress got us some to go boxes. I was pleasantly surprised to see the boxes are microwave AND dishwasher safe! Most places give you cheap styrofoam boxes you can't reheat your food in. Very nice to have a container you can reheat in. We decided to try the dessert also. Was quickly brought out and was nice and warm like they just made it. It was far to much dessert for two people so we got another to go box. They also gave us a little cup with a lid for the chocolate dipping sauce. Overall everything was very delicious and a very nice place to take your family. When I first looked at the menu I was surprised the prices were a little higher than expected, but the food and service are worth the price. For a plate of food expect to pay from $10-$20. The higher priced items were the steaks. You get a lot of food for a descent price. A+++ 5 stars. Excellent!

I don't normally go to chain's restaurant, but I have gone to this location a few time during lunch (business) - and wanted a quick salad & soup lunch. The food was good. But service was indifferent - not rude, but not very great. I made the mistake or ordering a dish one day - instead of my usual soup and salad, and it took FOREVER. VERY VERY slow. I normally avoid this place if I can.

I've been to many Olive Garden's around the country, this is the best one by far. There was a 15 minute wait during the lunch rush, after I was seated by the greeter, the waitress was already there to take my order. I expected to wait 15-20 minutes for my food to arrive, my expectations were shattered when my food arrived in less than 5 minutes. The Mushroom-Parm Orecchiette was superb. The staff was extremely friendly and made pleasant conversation. Although I am not a big fan of the chain, I am a fan of this location!

While the food can be very good at times, the service and atmosphere often leaves much to be desired. The drive to Des Moines may be worth the problems this location has. Many times food orders were wrong be it the wrong degree of doneness of meat or the completely wrong entree.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
