About Taco Bell
Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.
The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.
Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I have been going to Taco Bell near my house for a while and it has good service and the food always seems fresh. I would recommend Taco Bell to any taco lover out there looking for a fast meal.

I frequent taco bell but today I ordered 3 crunchy tacos and the ratio of meat in taco was disappointing. Check out the pic i posted. Nothing fell out of my taco cause sadly nothing much was in it. Working hard and going there for lunch to get a filling meal....sadly I am now hangry. Lol 1 star for disappointing meal.

Usually fine, but I guess I'm done with this location. Had a long hair in my griller and the worker ripped my receipt so poorly that I couldn't take the survey that was attached so I had to take to Yelp and Twitter to inform the company. Also, the ghost pepper griller is not hot at all (disappointingly) and they don't accept Discover cards. All in all, going to have to get tacos elsewhere.

Went to this place since I was at work for awhile. All dreaded and tired from work so I needed something fast. Drive thru wasn't busy at all so it was a good sign thinking it would be okay. I was wrong the worker who took my order and gave my food looked irritated. I mean it is a fast food job but hey customer service is what I always look for. Anyways, when I say thank you u should reply you welcome but nope he didn't. If u look like the way u are right now I ain't gonna move up in your company. If u hate it then quit and find something else. Anyways they only get a two star cause at least I asked for a lot of hot sauce and they gave me a lot so thank goodness for that!!!

Ok. It's Taco Bell. I must say that when I see a commercial on the TV that shows a product for $XX and I stop here and find it is 33% more expensive, I get angry. Why? If it's $1 around the country, it should be the same here. The food is alright if that's what you want : alright food. For "Real & Authentic" south of the border food, go to Taco Del Mar. They are in Kapolei and Wahiawa (Kunia), and other places I'm sure. THEY do it great. The prices are about the same, little more at Taco Del Mar, though, as I always say, "You get what you pay for". Avoid Taco Bell. It's a big chain shop and don't care about your happiness because there are 99 others that will eat there (and McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc.) because they don't have discerning taste. I do. I won't return.
(2)Nichole C.
Ordered a taco supreme ate half of it realized there were a couple moldy tomatoes in it! So gross! If this were a clean restaurant there would be no moldy food...I will never eat at this location again. And I'm thinking about calling the agency that inspects restaurants! I can only imagine what else is dirty, moldy, and in need of a serious cleaning!! If I could I'd give them a negative star rating!
(1)Ilora M.
Usual late night munchies go to place! Cheap cozzz. Nacho Bell Grande is my fave, my sister always gets the chicken Quesedilla! Then, they have awesome tacos.. Crunch Wrap Tacos.. the place is named Taco Bell for a reason. Also, the Cantina bowls they have is delish! Can get a little pricey for this bowl, but it has corn!!! And I love corn! So I love their Cantina Bowl.
(5)Joseph D.
Got my XXL grilled stuff burrito, steak, when I opened it the taco on the bottom is all wet from the steak. I can't even pick it up without it falling apart!!!! And it wasn't even busy at all!! Rather go McDonald with all the busy customers and get a correct order instead of fast but crappy food!!!!!
(1)Mary D.
We always end up here for dinner when we're on our way home from church. My husband LOVES taco bell. The prices are reasonable and you can get a quite a fill if you're not choosy and do value menu items. I love their crunchy taco supremes with fire sauce. FIRE FIRE!! The service is always quick. The restaurant is always clean and parking is always available. Five stars from me! Good job!! Keep up the good work!
(5)Wayne T.
I usually just go for the breakfast, but friendly service and food made quick.
(4)Don D.
I cant seem to remember when my last visit to a Taco Bell was...but it did change a little. The menu board at the drive through looks way better than it used to. There are a lot of new items that were not on the menu before. I think my lack of visits to Taco Bell is because of the comparison to actual mexican food. Some dont even consider Taco Bell a Mexican establishment at all! Anyway, this visit was a drive thru visit and based on how everything went, Id have to say it was ok. I was not impressed with the Fiesta Taco Salad but the Black Bean Burrito and the regular Bean Burritos had a lot of filling!
(3)Tevita A.
Another restaurant where the employees do not speak English. The Waipahu Taco's tables are never cleaned. Always food residue lingering on the tables. The bathroom is very unsanitary, and food taste is very bland. What can I say for a fast food chain? Is the meat even meat? I don't know... The last time I was there my change was wrong and I had to keep explaining myself to the lady at the register. Finally the manager came and fixed it for me. Oh god.
(1)Deidre D.
I can't say bad things about this place. I don't think that it's fair to say that taco bell is taco bell wherever you go, but it's not true. The people who work here are always so nice, even when it's super BUSY! My order is always made right and in a really appetizing manner. My burritos are normally pretty consistent throughout, so it's not full of meat on one end and then all tortilla on the other. The dine-in area is always so clean and the trash cans are never overflowing or full. The beverage dispenser is super cool though! I love optionssss! (P.S. I will always recommend putting their Fire hot sauce on anything that you eat there as long as it isn't a dessert lol)
(4)Jesse M.
Don't go to the Waipahu Taco Bell. They don't speak English and couldn't fold a proper burrito if their lives depended on it. Today, I dined in and had to repeat my one item order several times (Touchdown Big Box), and actually POINTED IT OUT ON THE MENU AT THE CASHIER'S REQUEST, and they STILL messed up the order. I got a free burrito from it, but still. If you are the CEO of Taco Bell and happen to be reading this, I'd like to inform you that Filipinos are not the same as Mexicans. They don't know how to make your food. Train them please, en Inglés. DISH 1: PEPPERONI PERSONAL PAN PIZZA - How can you mess this up? Easily, apparently. Just take the two pepperonis allocated for each slice, and STACK THEM ON TOP OF EACH OTHER. Forget every pizza you've ever seen, including the pictures ON THE MENU, where the pepperonis are spread out. That's okay, I like my pizza with four measly red dots on it anyway. One of the employees saw this review and responded: "your review of waipahu taco is very wrong 1st the pizza thats the way we HAVE to make it!!!! also there is alot of people that speak english so u should change ur review" Dear Employee, Unfortunately for you, my review is accurate based on my real experiences at your establishment. Which, apparently, is Waipahu Taco. Instead of me changing my review, YOU change the pictures on the menu and in the dining room, because what you claim is your standard method of making a pizza isn't what you advertise all over your walls.
(1)Taylor C.
Who doesn't love Taco Bell?! The only reason this fast food establishment is getting a review is because this particular one has never ever gotten my order wrong! And I've been coming to this location for years!
(4)Nanea L.
Quick Speedy service and I lucked out and didn't get a fob taking my order! LOL So I didn't have to repeat what I was saying a million and one times. Perfect location right next to the Sizzlers in the Waipahu Shopping Center. But this shopping center has like EVERTHING, to bad I don't live around that area cuz I would totally take advantage of all it's places that or I'd be a complete and total fatso. LOL. Didn't go inside yet so I can't comment on that. But I loved my Big Box Meal that I got Crunchy Gordita Crunch you are my savior! With jalapenos on the side CHEEE! haha
(5)Dennis M.
Pepperoni meal is very consistent in good tast and hot item. Good value as well. Service is okay
(4)Mario T.
I come here once in a while. Didn't experience a bad service so far. Pretty quick with my food. Got me my #6 (2 chalupas) and damn, loved it!
(5)Azuki B.
This is in my neighborhood, so I do go there a few times a month. It's clean, and I've never had a bad experience, they are generally friendly, my orders are always correct and service is quick, even when the New Hope place in the same lot has some big event and there's a long line from them having lunch there. I get combos there, so I go inside to order (I don't want to have to bother telling the employee "hardly any ice in my drink please" and then getting a cup of ice with a little soda in it, so I go in to get the drinks the way I want them). I've never had a problem with non-English speaking workers there (as Jesse M. has), maybe they have different (English speaking) employees now! LOL!
(3)Jade N.
I love the mexican pizza with jalapeño and fire sauce. Service was ok and so far I didn't experience anything absolutely alarming to mention. Perfect place for a late night snack. :)
(4)Christopher B.
Open late, so it's always a good place to grab a late night snack...
