I hardly ever go to Pandas but this one recently opened up and wanted to try it out since its something different in the mall. You could tell that they just recently opened because it was crowed with people and all the food in the display case was gone. But you could tell them what you wanted and it was cooked to order. I did wait for my order but not as long as waiting for Starbucks and McDonalds. Also the service was much friendlier than those places and the portions were way bigger than other Pandas i've been too. This location also features a Milk Tea bar. I think its the only one in this area and its a great alternative than starbucks. I might be back soon!

First time in here didn't know what to expect. Well first walked in and noticed how cramp and little space this place is. Normally pandas has a little more space for in dining but it was more like a ramen bar type of space if you know what I mean. Servers were really nice. Though I have to give my props for the really Asian looking lady idk if she's the manager but she had a big smile on her face which is a big plus. She was trying to sell and give free samples of Pandas new TEA BAR!! really good btw I was sold and bought 2 teas for me and my fiancé but doesn't beat taste tea though to be honest. Sorry haha Food is typical Panda Express so not really any complaints there. So what I'm saying in short typical good Panda Express food, good service and would've been 5 stars if the place wasn't so cramped. Hope this helps and Thank You!

When I looking in the window while passing by I needed to take a second look at the name of this restaurant...really Panda Express?? And it has a Tea Bar?? I didn't even know what that was but I had to try it. They have your typical Milk Teas and boba but also have some pretty unique items like red bean freeze, sea salt coffee, lava flow freeze, and taro freeze. You can even substitute soy and almond milk here! I admit, I was pretty skeptical still and was expecting the quality to be mediocre...but to my surprise, it was actually pretty good! I mean it's not your Tea Time or TasteTea quality but still I was impressed for it being a Panda Express. And it's so close to my house so perfect for just satisfying my quick milk tea cravings. I think this is my new favorite location, mostly cause they have a Tea Bar :P it's nice and modern inside but not too much seating space. But I'm ok with that since I usually get my items to go. It's a small location but I like it!

Food-wise, most Panda Express' are the same. Same menu items, same great taste. That's one of the nice things about Panda Express - consistency between locations. But at this particular location, the seating is something to be desired. All tables are tables for 2 only, and then they have a small counter that seats 3 or 4. And here's the kicker - they only have one high chair. My favorite items at Panda are the chow mein, chicken breast with string beans, orange chicken, and steamed fish fillet. Great place for take out or dine-in for 2 people. But not a good place to dine-in if you've got more than one small child or a large group. Save your receipt and fill out the online survey for the code for a free entree item on your next visit. This location has a tea bar.

This review is only about the Tea Bar and only for one, major reason: the straw they gave me is too skinny to drink the large boba in my tea! They only had 1 type of straw. How idiotic is this?! I kept trying, and although I was able to suck up a couple of pearls, after that, the straw got so clogged I had to peel off the top and resort to a spoon. The tea was fine. Nothing special (it's already made and they just fill the cup from the spigot), but it's fast casual dining so I'm fine with that. But to buy a drink that I can't even enjoy because of the STRAW? It's THE WORST. Panda Express, I hope you get wider straws so that I can actually drink my bubble tea next time!!!!!!!!!!!

Typical Panda Express fare, which, really, I can never complain about. I love Panda Express. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were greeted upon walking into the door. Two items that we wanted, they didn't have, so they made some fresh for us in a timely fashion. When we went, it wasn't very busy. There was only one other table that had occupants. That being said, I wouldn't exactly say that they were too busy to not have spent some time cleaning the dining area. Every single table had rice, noodles, or some sort of sticky sauce on it. Pretty gross. Minus two stars for me having to wipe down my own table. If it weren't for the Tea Bar, I would be giving this place 3 stars. Luckily for this location, this unique add on adds back a star, so I'll settle at a 4 star review. I think the Tea Bar is a neat add on. Enjoy local favorites such as Thai tea or a Taro ice blended. You can customize with honey boba, etc., also with how sweet you want your drink. There were free samples by the counter to try out the Taro tea and Red Bean tea...yummy! I would love to see more Panda locations adding this awesome perk. Nothing beats being able to get a bubble tea and my orange chicken all under one roof.

I was craving the Tea Bar's gen mai milk tea, so I made the trip from Pearl Harbor to here. If it wasn't for the Tea Bar this place would get 1-star from me at the most. The place is small. Good luck finding a place to sit if there's more than two of you in your group. I couldn't even order food without bumping into the people trying to get out. The food menu is the same as any other Panda Express. Typical and no surprises. The Tea Bar is VERY SLOW in service. I chalk this up to a failure in management. The Tea Bar is new and it seems like there's a great lack in training how to make the drinks. I waited more than 10mins for mine to be made. I was almost done with my food. If it wasn't for the workers providing service w a smile I would've been pretty pissed. In short: unless you're really craving one of the boba drinks at the Tea Bar that isn't served at any other boba place, avoid this store. I know I'm keeping my eye open for a Tea Bar to open up closer to my place.

NEW LOCATION ADDED TO WAIKELE SHOPPING CENTER! Since I work a few doors over, I decided to check out our new neighbors. Right away, I noticed they have a "Panda Tea Bar"! I love boba drinks! I tried their Panda Green Milk Tea with honey boba & got a plate for lunch. Their Tea Bar offers an array of teas and lemonade with different toppings to add in with different sizes. I did enjoy the tea I ordered. And I'm glad we have a tea bar near! Now I don't need to drive far. But at the end of the day, it's still a Panda Express. Their fried rice and noodles will be good no matter what, along with their orange chicken. Also, this location is much smaller than the others. So seating is very limited. Not good for big groups in my opinion.

Finally, something smart has replaced the old Jurisons...even though I do miss Jurisons, it was extremely smart to bring a Panda Express to the outlets. First off, it's such a nice Panda Express! Brand spankin new, equipped with a tea bar! Yes, a TEA bar! Got my dinner from here tonight, as always, delicious orange chicken, rice, and honey sesame chicken(my food choices are very plain), also got a lychee green tea and my bf got a raspberry black tea. Yum yum yum! They let us try the tea before giving it to us to make sure it tasted perfect. And yes it was amazing! The staff is super friendly. Looks like I'll be coming here more often seeing as I live right down the road! Thank you for bringing this Panda Express to Waikele!

This Pandas Express has recently been opened up in the Waikele Shopping Center. Food-wise, everything is the same like all other locations. The only addition they've added on is the Tea Bar, which most other Pandas Express don't have. This Pandas Express does get crowded during the day sometimes, considering the fact that there are a lot of tourists shopping around. But the lines do move quickly if you're looking to order a plate. It isn't nearly as crowded at night as it is during the day. Also if you're planning to eat here with more than two people, you most likely won't find any seating. Most of the seating at this location are meant for two people only. I've had good and bad experiences with their food. Sometimes the food is fresh and it tastes great. But there are times when it isn't busy and the food has been sitting there for quite some time. The food tends to get hard and dry, such as the orange chicken for example. If you want a fresh batch you can ask the server, but only if you're willing to wait a few minutes. If you're looking for something quick and cheap to fill you up, then I would highly recommend this Pandas Express.

what: america's fastest growing chinese restaurant concept! something good: wow! i really like the new tea bar they have at this location! everything is super clean and neat and new! i was excited to try the tea bar since i saw pictures and it looked so cute! i loved the look of the place~ the milk tea i had was yummy! it's different from other milk tea places but i really liked it and will come back again! i love that you can customize your drink to the way you like it~ i also ate here that day and the food is as always very consistent and yummy! i'm just so happy that there is a milk tea place so close to my home! something not so good: it's smaller than other locations so i would probably only come here for take out since it's a little squishy, but i rarely eat in anyways so it doesn't bother me at all : ) !! something to try: tea bar (3) and plate lunch (8)

The Panda Tea Bar at this location is the bomb! Various different fruit infused teas, milk teas, and freezes (frozen shake)! It is amazing! This location is a small pandas not much room to sit down and eat, but we always come here for the panda milk tea!!!! The chocolate milk freeze is a frozen milk chocolate but with boba on the bottom amazing balls! Not all location has a tea bar so check before you go :)

I have loved Panda Express for it's yummy "fast food" type of Chinese food, especially for the fact that they don't use MSG and give an awesome incentive to return with their short survey and promo code on the back of every receipt. HOWEVER. I am over the moon in love with them for opening a Tea Bar at their newest Waipahu (Waikele) location. I live in Mililani where there are no good boba tea places and Waikele isn't that far... I have driven from Mililani to Waikele just to get the tea and also pick up dinner, even if there's a Panda Express in Mililani. I've asked them to please recommend the Mililani location to also open a Tea Bar, but they cannot since Starbucks is so close. Bummer! Highly recommend trying their tea... you can adjust the sweetness to your liking and they'll even let you sample it to make sure it's how you want it. They have a stamp card which is also a bonus... who doesn't love getting a freebie after so many purchases!? :D

Walked in with my girlfriend on a whim. We were passing by and noticed Panda Express had opened up a cute little tea counter. We decided on the Thai Tea. We were asked if we wanted boba in our tea. We agreed on the small boba pearls. The service was great and we got our drink quickly. We noticed we were treated to a gratuitous amount of boba which was cool. Our main concern with their drinks are how sweet they make them. This Thai Tea was the sweetest we've ever tasted. Hoping it was perhaps a fluke, but if not, it is highly recommended that they dilute it with either more milk or take it easy on the flavoring. Pairing it with the honey boba may have not helped the cause because it added another depth of sweetness that wasn't needed. Flavor of the tea is pretty good. I'm sure it can be a lot better. I'd go back and give it another shot, but keeping in mind to ask to not make the flavor/sweetness as intense.

New location and I just tried it. I love Pandas so you'll find no snide "this isn't real Chinese food" comments in this review. I like the Waikele area so the location is nice just be wary that it's a busy shopping center and the Panda Express is located by the Genki Sushi so be warned that parking can be hectic. This one has a tea bar where you can get boba tea which is pretty awesome. I didn't personally try it so I can't review that. Also its a little more cramped than most so there were no tables that accommodated more than two people. I usually get my food to go so if that's more your style it shouldn't be a problem. The food was great (assuming you usually like Panda Express). I got orange chicken and teriyaki chicken with fried rice. The workers were friendly and most obviously new so they were a little unsure sometimes but the girl running the show was really on top of it and got everything going fast. I really liked it. Just be warned that it may not be the place to go if you want to stop and eat there.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
