After a long journey of shopping.. McDonald's sits in the perfect place so you can walk over and grab a quick snack to get your holiday shopping back into gear!

I live in Waikele. I'd say 7 times out of 10, I would instead drive to the Mcd's in neighboring Waipio Gentry to save myself the aggravation. I don't post often, but today, I just had to. This morning was the 2nd time I've reversed out of their driveway!...it's that bad. I have better things to do with my time and better Mcd's to spend my money at! Wish I had an option to choose Zero stars.
(1)Rose Amy I.
Ordered drive thru so I could have my orders right Away. Yes, the service was fast but ended up having to go back in the restaurant because they did not give my correct order!
(1)Michael M.
Another McDonald's on the island except this place is always busy and packed!!! Right in the hot spot of the Waikele Outlets and shopping center. Parking is competitive literally! Two different intersections leading to a busy four-way by McDonald's very small parking lot. I've only had a chocolate chip frappe so I'm not sure about the food. Service is decent. If you're looking to study or school stuff it's all right but no outlets! Too bad because the Starbucks next door is always too busy to enjoy or relax.
(3)Jasmine I.
This place sucks! Twice in less then a month they messed up the order. The first visit I wanted to use a coupon which was for a buy one get one free sandwich. I wanted to upgrade but the cashier told me I could only upgrade one meal. When I questioned her more she never explained that reason but instead rang me up for two meals. I WIN...or do I. I also ask to have the shaker fries but when my order came....no shaker stuff. The second visit I had wanted to do the same as the last time I ordered. My sandwich was suoposed to be a double fish filet but I noticed the cashier who was also a manager only punched in a regular filet o fish. When I questioned her to make sure it was double...she stated yes. On top of that she didnt uograde both sandwiches to meals. When I got the order we only got filet o fish....no double. On top of that no shaker fries...AGAIN. lucky the other half was there cause if not I would have gone off on them. Next timewe will visit another location. They need some serious training in custoner service and getting ur order right.

Friday, 8/28/15 @ 10:58pm. Attention McDonald's!!! I just came in this evening at about 10pm & placed my order to-go. I ordered a Southwest Chicken Salad w/ No Chicken & No Cheese along with a Sweet Chili Wrap. I just got home and realized that the Southwest Salad has cheese in it and my daughter can't eat it. Even if I remove the cheese I don't want to risk an allergic reaction. Also, I ordered a Sweet Chili Wrap but the wrap I was given is the Ranch Wrap. I called the restaurant a few times but no answer. I just want to ask if you can accommodate me by replacing my order correctly? I can come by tomorrow.

Seriously without a doubt THE WORST McDonalds I have ever been to. & I'm talking about more than just one time! You may think "why do you keep going to that McDonalds?" Well because it is practically across the street from my house but trust & believe from now on I will drive the extra 3 miles to the next McDonalds or else I'll just go to Jack In the Box. They're extremely slow. They've messed up my order more times than they've gotten it right & every time I complain they act as if I'm inconveniencing them. How dare I expect them to do their job correctly the first time! I don't doubt that their job is hard but they've been delivering bad service for a while now. It's time to step it up people of Waikele McDonalds! Come on now! Btw if there's a line out of this McDonalds it's not because they have the best fries in town or whatever. It's because they're slow AF!
(1)Kathleen A.
I kid you not, there has never been a time when I've been here and got my order 100% correct. I went to the drive-thru and ordered a big breakfast. That's suppose to come with a biscuit, sausage patty, scrambled eggs, hotcakes, and a hash brown. The lady handed me my bag and good thing I double checked because there was only a biscuit on my plate, literally. I can understand if you remember everything else but forgot the biscuit but seriously? Moral of the story, always double check your order cause some of the employees sure don't.
(1)Dylan G.
The cashiers inside seem inexperienced. The line is always long. The drive thru cashiers are way more quick and friendly
(2)Son K.
Worst McDs ever.....picture says it all....paid $6 for this...they really needs to hire employees with common sense.
(1)Buddy L.
This is the worst McDonalds drive-thru EVER!!! They consistently forget items in my order. On Tues night, we did the drive-thru and ordered a cheeseburger Happy Meal for my daughter...when we got home, there was NO MEAT in the cheeseburger...WTF?!?!?!.....NO MEAT....it was 2 buns, cheese, and a pickle.....how the "F" do you forget the meat????? Today, I did the drive-thru again...ordered a 10-piece McNugget w/ BBQ sauce...when I got home...no sauce....WTF?!?!?!?! I have other countless incidences with THIS particular McDonalds.....like I order DIET Coke...and they give me REGULAR Coke....I can taste the difference!!! When I order a Big Breakfast....they forget the hash browns!!! WTF?!?!?!?!? It's also the SLOWEST ever drive-thru...once we had to wait 30mins just to get our food inching our way to the pickup window....WTF?!?!?!?!?! NEVER going to patronize this place again!!!! My suggestion...go to Waipio McDonalds....WAY better service...and they don't forget stuff in your order.
(1)Richard H.
This McDonald's is well kept on the inside, but not to many seats for customers. The dining section is small, but the chairs tables and seats are comfortable and placed well. Nice atmosphere inside, especially on a hot day. The inside is air conditioned, but if you want a change of scenery, there is outdoor seating too!
(3)Cat M.
Worst drive thru at night!!! The bitch upsized my order and didn't give a receipt. I ordered about $5 worth of food and my total came out to around $13. I guess the manager was off that night.
(1)Charmed 1.
Been using this location drive thru for a little more than a year. They messed up my order only once - I didn't get my taro pie. But on my next visit when I mentioned it, I explained what happened, brought the receipt and no problem they gave me one. Other than that everything is McDonald's great.
(3)Alice N.
Omg terrible! Waited 20 mins for a bacon egg cheese biscuit and guess what? Never got it right three times! First they give me a sausage biscuit then waited again and got a egg and cheese biscuit no bacon, then finally the correct one! Wow my day is ruined thanks MCD! Manager there was extremely rude and condensending while they are the ones making the mistake. Hey if you don't like your job quit b**ch!
(1)Vanessa B.
They have to be more organized when it comes to which register is open and where the line begins. I went for breakfast this morning and the line was at a closed register and there was no line at the open register. It doesn't make sense. My mom had to shout out and say "where's the line?" Everyone was getting confused.
(3)Teresa G.
This by far is the worst McDonald's ever. Why it even has the golden arch is beyond me. This place should be shut down. It's in the middle of the waikele shopping center where all the tourist can go to and receive horrible service. Every time I come here the service is bad. I only come here once in a blue moon because i'm usually in a rush and its close to the house. The management staff Ida joke and is just as bad as the workers. Don't bother coming here. Drive a few miles away and go to the one in waipio where they give you good service and don't mess up on your order. This place deserves negative stars but that's not a option on here.
(1)Cydny R.
Customer service needs some serious help. Went with my Aunty, to get frappes & lunch for her father. When we got to the window, my Aunty simply asked if her order was right & wanted it repeated cause she thought it was a little more money than what we ordered. Girl at the window gave major attitude, like damn all my Aunty wanted to know is if the order was right. Called & told the manager, but guarantee the manager didn't do shit. Train your employees to give better customer service!
(1)Ethan R.
Didn't want to do this but here it goes. Worst McDonalds in the west side. A couple months back I went through the god awful drive thru. My girlfriend and I ordered a couple cones and a couple snack wraps. We got the cones after waiting in line for the longest time and then was told to wait on the side for the snack wraps. We were able to finish our cones and travel to china by the time we got the wraps. I was literally sitting on my car waiting for them, it was about a 20 minute wait. I didn't realize it took so long to wrap chicken and lettuce. Plus the person behind us got their things before us. wtf. I thought this was ridiculous but blew it off seeing as they were somewhat busy. Tonight was just horrible. Simple order, 2 items. I asked for a cone in a cup and a parfait. There were 2 cars ahead of me and I waited a good 15-20 minutes in the drive thru (1 in the morning). When I got to the window I paid and the lady had a "I don't wanna be here" face. She then just handed me a cone, I'm pretty sure it's not that hard to make a cone in a cup. When I got home the parfait looked old and wasn't even cold, it was too temp. Whatever, not coming back. Go retrain your employees please.
(1)Jennifer J.
I go to this branch whenever I get to visit Waikele Outlets, which isn't very often. The service here is very slow. The line gets long because of the slow service. It takes more than 5 mins. for them to give out your food. The long line, plus customers waiting for their food, makes the soda fountain area pretty crowded. While I was in line, I saw some employees, who were on their break, asking the cook for their food. The line is very long and it's busy enough already, so this made our food come out longer. The employees on break started grabbing the finished burgers for themselves. I guess there's an "Employees First" basis here. The manager didn't even help speed things up for us customers. It took me more or less 10 minutes to order a vanilla cone! How crazy is that?!
(1)Conrad C.
They serve rotten and expired food! Salad and fruit had mold!!!Management's reaction was lame. Health department was notified!! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
(1)Lofa L.
Its McDonalds. It got the killer fries. They hire kids that make mistakes. But they fix their mistakes hella fast. I drove through and they forgot a to put an item I ordered and I had to circle around. The kid was super sorry and apologized like crazy. Now I've never stepped foot inside this location, strictly drive through for me. They've done well every time. But I don't think I could park and walk inside. Get it and go!
(4)Darci N.
On this occassion they were currently under renovation. We decided to go inside because the drive-thru seemed long.... wrong.... should've stayed in the drive-through. We walked in, passed the tumbleweed since it was desserted, there was one customer in front of us (a father with 3 children), it seemed like he ordered the whole menu for how long it was taking for the slow-moving cashier to get his order. The cashier I felt for, she was an elderly woman so I held patient (it'd be like getting mad at my grandma) while she took care of the first customer. While standing there for another 7 minutes a few more customers walked in. It seemed like the back staff was catering to the drive-through and noone was coming to her assistance or to open another register. Come on people, its the dinner rush!
(3)Dean H.
What can you say, the dollar menu ROCKS the prices on the adult school lunches. With teacher school lunches going up to 5 bucks, I think my abs are going to scream cause it is MCDs for me! Yeah, I know, 15 minutes to get my lunch and 15 minutes to POUND it down and it is back to the kids, but seriously. I can get a burger, chicken sand, and small fries for 3 bucks....you cannot beat that with a stick. They have gotten 10 times better with their slow service and haven't screwed up an order in a while so I am sticking to this place like white on rice. I just wish the morning food would come QUICK and not have to wait too long since that is when I am normally RUSHING to get to work. MCDs the savior of my wallet when there is no more leftovers to bring to work....BIG ups! 026/365 yelpy goodness challenge....still going strong baby!
(3)Jill D.
It's another Mickey D's. No real cause for excitement. The saimin kinda sucked hard. I wasn't expecting much but it was thisclose to actually being decent. The noodles were better than I expected and actually hinted at being hand pulled and cut. The few pieces of char siu pork were delicious. The broth was terrible. The piece of seaweed they put in overpowered it. The broth wouldn't have been saved without the seaweed though. The service was fast, well priced and my ice cream cone was completely satisfying. Nothing excitingly bad or good.
(3)Joe H.
It's McDonalds! Of course your not going to get 5-star food here, so you can't measure it against Roy's or Poke Stop! But w/ fast food I'm looking for a few things: cooked right (not raw or burnt), decently quick and you get my order right. This McDonalds though has struck out w/ me. On two occasions we ordered burgers and got them partially raw. Their not super-quick and, for the most part, not accurate... but you don't want to worry about eating raw hamburger.
(2)Cheryl K.
My default when I am running from meeting to meeting. Normally order the crispy chicken salad or a happy meal. This most recent visit was right after the UH football game and I had the munchies. I ordered a filet-o-fish sandwich and a saimin. Yes, I know the saimin is like the kind they sell in the market, S&S or Okahara-ish but I grew up eating it. The great thing is that we came from the UH game and McDonald's sells the saimin for a fraction of the price. The crappy thing is I was all stoked to eat my filet-o-fish and it tasted like it was sitting under a heater for an hour or so. It was disgusting. Anyway, its McDonald's what do you expect. Unfortunately, I will still come here for its convenience and because its a cheap lunch for me.
(2)Francis M.
everytime i do a drive thru here, they always forget to include napkins, straws, and ketchup. grrrrr!!
(1)Jane G.
Now before you go all WTF on my ass for giving McDonald's 5 stars, you better read the following carefully. To the Frymaster, This for whoever was working that glorious grease trap we call the deep fryer on November 14 2008 at 11:52 PM. You are AMAZING. I don't know what you did to the pre-cut frozen pieces of potato out of a package... I don't care. But you made the best damn French fries I ever had from a drive-thru. I was home within minutes and dug into my fresh, hot fries. Perfectly crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with the slightest touch of salt. I kept munching away and decided to slow down when I realized I only had 5 fries left. I asked my boyfriend, "Is it just me, or do the fries taste really, really, really good tonight?" I was shocked when he replied, "Nope, not just you, they're really, really good," and continued eating. You have to understand this, my boyfriend will eat just about anything. Let me rephrase that, my boyfriend will INHALE just about anything. Food will disappear so quickly, you wonder if he even chewed or took the time to breathe. If you ask him if he enjoyed it, he'll say yes without blinking and you'll debate if he's lying to you. So for him to actually notice ANY difference in the food is exponentially groundbreaking. So keep doing what you're doing Mister (or Misses) Load Up the Frybasket to Make Some French Fries Guy (or Gal), continue giving TLC (Tons of Lard and Calories) to those cuts of potatoes, we salute you! (And no, we were NOT stoned/intoxicated/combination of both at the time.) I like this McDonald's though. They're fast, even though the line of cars can go all the way to Chili's. And this drive-thru is open 24 hours. So if you come late at night, they'll make your food fresh, and if the friendly local guy is working, he might even serenade you at one point. (Don't forget about Big Mac Mondays! Free Big Mac when you order a Big Mac meal during the UH football season. I LOVE Big Macs. Yes, I completely embrace my inner fat man.) And this is totally random, but you know how you can see the previous order on the drive-thru screen? I have seen many people order just drinks. I saw a lady order ONE drink, that she paid for with her credit card. Are you really THAT lazy and don't have a dollar and some change somewhere in that big fat soccer mom van of yours?
(5)Chelsea R.
Went to their drive through today ( August 30th @ 11:43) The closing workers were horrible & taking their slow ass time. We literally waited 5-10 minutes. While waiting for our food we were able to see the pace the workers were going at. They were so slow & drinking , doing other things rather than making our order. Along with being able to see through the window they left our order on the counter for a good 5 minutes while we just sat there. After , what felt like forever , they finally decided to give us our damn food. I usually go to this McDonald's no complains but for those two closing workers today (August 30th @ 11ish) you guys should find better replacements to replace them.
(1)Fern C.
Was really disappointed with their service. This is far the worst McDo i've ever been thru. So many cashiers but not a lot of attendant grabbing the orders. Plus, they seem to don't know what they're doing. I ask the manager if it's always like that everyday, like really slow service....he just didn't seem to care. I was gonna tell him in comparison to some other place I've been to but I don't know if I was in that position. They should all be RE-TRAINED, including Managers. Gotta email the office for some real talk here.

For a quick late bite in the leeward side, we go to this McDonalds. Because they're usually busy, we know they won't be serving you stale hamburgers or french fries, and, located near other restaurants in Waikele Outlet store, it's safe to sit in and eat during the night. I haven't had a problem with my order or waiting long at this McDonalds, but there is no playground, as depicted in one of the photos of this establishment. Place is usually clean, and although drive through may take a little long during peak hours, it's not as bad of a wait. Only con is that you need to cross the parking lot from the other restaurants, or cross the busy intersection walking from Kmart, starbucks or jamba juice, if you want to pick up different types of food in the area without driving from one parking space to another.

We had some coupons for free big macs and free french fries so we decided to use them for a family dinner out. Mcdonalds is Mcdonalds. You know what youre gonna get when you get there. Ordering was easy, getting the food was quick, we ate on their patio area, then we were on our way. Food quality was pretty good. We didnt get stale fries or stale food. Kids finished all their food and even got Sundae's afterwards! Oh....and whoever put up the picture of the playset....wrongs MCdonalds! This location doesnt have it.

So here's an interesting story. Our family went to this location to eat lunch, and my husband needed to use the restroom. He went in and looked at the urinal and either someone had diarrhea in the urinal, or puked out a lot of bile into the urinal. Either way, it was definitely a no-go. He waits to use the stall, and a McDonald's employee comes out, gives him a nod, then walks right out without washing his hands. He said he couldn't help but laugh at how not only did the guy not wash his hands, but didn't mind the disaster area that was the urinal in the bathroom. He said Obama should've declared that bathroom an emergency area. He went into the stall and there was urine all over the toilet seat. Long story short, don't eat here, since the employees don't understand the minutiae between food prep and using the bathroom.

Slow moving. Both in the restaurant and drive thru.
