I finally got to try their food at the Wailuku First Friday event. LOCATION: On Market Street, next to the Iao Theater. ATMOSPHERE: They took over the former Café O'Lei spot in a very picturesque, older building. I haven't been inside as they serve food from the sidewalk during First Fridays. MENU: From what I gathered, they do more catering than restaurant style portions. FOOD: 3-Item Combo Plate - I chose the chopped steak, garlic shrimp, and pancit. Macaroni salad was included as a side. The steak bites were very tender, a bit fatty here and there, and had tons of savory flavor. Great job! The garlic shrimp was sautéed perfectly with the shell on, juicy, crunchy and had an excellent savory garlic taste. Another great job! The pancit fell flat for me. I don't care for the yellow noodles and the flavor was lacking. The macaroni salad was very good. Pricey at $13, portion side was pretty fair. SERVICE: All the staff were friendly and locally professional lol. OVERALL: Very tasty grinds, pass on the pancit.

We have ordered catering from Juan's many times and every time it's super Ono! Last night we had our annual party for International Housekeeping Week. I was going to BBQ but decided to cater at the last minute. I called Juan's Thursday and asked if they could cater for us Friday. They had no problem doing that and delivered to the beach park at Kam 1 no problem. Now the food was excellent. Chicaron was amazing. Honest, authentic Filipino food. The owner's daughter delivered to us and she was very nice and accommodating. On time and delicious what more can you ask for? If you like Filipino food try these guys out, you won't regret it.
