Great new place to enjoy a meal in Wailuku! Right across the big parking lot. We made a reservation because we heard it was always crowded. Enjoyed breakfast. I got three steaming hot pancakes, my friend got the 2 eggs with protugese sausage. We shared a side order of fried rice. That came out a little cold but it tasted good. The portion was a little smaller than I thought it would be for $8. Otherwise, the pirces were really good for really good food. I don't eat eggs but I'm used to breakfast menus not having eggless ideas. The breaksfast skillets looked good and I'd encourage Aria's to create an eggless version with hasbrowns instead! Looking forward to visiting again soon! The lunch and dinner menus looked really good, I'd like to try that next time!

I'm very excited to have such a nice sit down option in old Wailuku town. Don't get me wrong, I love greasy spoon local food like most of the other fair in Wailuku, but it's nice to have a lighter, more refined fair. I've been here a few times now and whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, it doesn't disappoint.

What a perfect addition for dining options in Wailuku Town! I went with a friend to have lunch. We decided to share the Ceviche, the Quinoa and Kale Salad & the Salmon BLT. I was thrilled that there was no Cilantro in the Ceviche. Although traditionally Ceviche does not call for cilantro, many chefs love to use cilantro in Ceviche and many other dishes. It was tasty and good although some may expect it to be more on the rare side than how we received ours but it was very good. May I suggest more fresh vegetables such as diced tomatoes, cucumbers, celery? The Quinoa Kale Salad had grilled Zuchinni and Feta Cheese. It was so fresh with nice texture and flavor. It was perfectly dressed. The salmon BLT was delicious! I cant wait to go back to try other items as well as try their breakfast menu!

I wish I would have taken a picture of our dinner, but it looked so good, I forgot...& just tore into it. I ordered the citrus mahi ( loved loved loved the lemon caper sauce, and my veggies seemed like they went all "CHOPPED" on it, I loved them...i thought they might have used a torch....but my boyfriend swears it taste grilled, either way it was perfect), and my boyfriend had some vegetarian pasta thing & both were delicious. We also had the frenchgasm, and that was sooo yummy. I ate all my food, seriously - I almost always have lefties, but not here. The service was great! Can't wait to go back, next time I think I'll try the special. I saw the lady next to us ordered a huge steak, 2 shrimp, and some veggies, I was pretty much drooling - next time!!!!

Excellent food both my mother and I cleaned our plates I had the chow fun which had the flat noodles and a sweeter sauce, my mother had the mahi mahi. The place became quickly packed after we arrived so if going to dinner reservations are highly recommended. The service was attentive and friendly. You should try the dessert.

Very out of place but needed in Wailuku. First off...FOOD WAS ONO!!!! We came by high recommendations from my aunty's rave of the PORK BELLY (crispy outer, juicy inner) and MAHI-MAHI (so tasty) dishes. Since we knew that must be a winner...we tried the KULA SALAD (so light & refreshing), LAMB SHANK (fall off the bone) & FRENCHGASM (a special, not on menu but needs to be). All made to perfection and brought to our table in seconds. So that goes to show the QUALITY and SERVICE were outstanding. Friendly staff. All hands were on deck checking in on our well-being. PRICES are very reasonable. AMBIANCE had this simple, classy, elegance...I felt like I was partially in a rich man's lunch room cafeteria and the dining room of my dearest friends' home. But that's what set this place apart. It doesn't quite fit in...but it SO does!

Went here for the first time for dinner. Char siu bao sliders were really good! I had the Asian braised pork belly and my boyfriend had the chop steak. The pork belly wasn't as good as what our server said to be. It had no taste, flavor to it. Really oily. Moments later, my tummy felt really sick. And the next day when I thought about the pork belly, I felt like I was gonna throw up. Chop steak was okay. Don't know if we will be back...

Not surprised how quickly this place became very popular. Besides the fact they are centrally located and serves many of the surrounding businesses, I believe their food speaks for itself. Hopefully this place will last for a good while than its predecessors.

Heard about this the other day so decided to try. Had four different itesm fried rice, chow fun, saimin and eggs benedict. Fried rice had decent amount of meat but needed a little more flavor. Chow fun had too much ginger which over powered dish. Saimin was okay but asked for mustard but had none. Also asked for spoon but only had teaspoon. The benedict was good but a couple areas were bitter due to burnt english muffin. Overall was decent. Place is clean and will try again for lunch or dinner. Give it a try. Something new in town. Will try again and will report back

My husband and I had heard of Aria's, so for breakfast we made the drive from Kihei to Wailuku - it was well worth it! I had the plentiful and delicious crab cake benedict. The sauce was flavorful (I find many places make it too salty), and the crab cake was perfectly crispy and had great flavoring (including diced red peppers). The breakfast potatoes were homemade and cooked perfectly. I definitely want to go back for both lunch and dinner as I want to try the tempura Mahi Mahi fish tacos and the scallop linguine (which I see got a great review as well). Two of the owners are brothers (one is the chef) - both of them came over talked with us - made us feel very welcome.

Very nice changes made inside! They took it from a cafeteria feeling dive (4 Sisters Kitchen) to a fine dining but casual restaurant with a local touch! Located on Vineyard Street, across the municipal parking lot (so free parking is abundant on weekends and timed on weekdays). Small place to eat, only 7 or 8 tables inside, but nicely air-conditioned and clean. The menu is not huge, but seems to have a huge variety. From salads to seafood, to local favorites like hamburger steak and roast pork. And they served us breakfast during lunch, so not a bad deal! The food...not great, but pretty good, IMHO. I had the roast pork plate with macaroni salad and rice. The rice was a bit hard; either the rice pot was left opened or not enough water when steaming. The roast pork was good, but a bit tough. Small portion compared to other places, namely Lau Hee Chicken Hekka lunch truck and JB,S. the Mac salad could've used a little more mayonnaise, but very good flavor. Wife had the steak and eggs with breakfast potatoes. WOW! Steak was DELICIOUS! Yes, I stole a lot of it from her, since she's watching her figure and so am I (watching her figure too, that is! ;-/ ). The potatoes, unfortunately, were cold! Maybe leftover from the breakfast hours, but nonetheless, we were disappointed with that. Taste on the potatoes was good, however. And eggs were cooked perfectly, which was a nice surprise! Back to the steak! Pretty large piece -- looked like a top sirloin -- and cooked perfectly too! For $12.00, I didn't expect a rib eye, much less filet mignon, so this was nice. I would say the steak was about 10 to 12 ounces. Roast pork plate was 9 bucks. The wait was average...we waited about 15 minutes for our food. It came out warm, with the exception of the potatoes. Service was also very good. Our server was very friendly and not overly zealous or pushy. He came by several times to check on us and our drinks, which was appreciated and reflected in our gratuity. Looks like this place can get crowded during peak hours, which I found is usually between 11:00 and 1 p.m. on weekdays (lunch hour) and 11:00 to 2ish on weekends. As with all new places, some kinks to iron out, but surprisingly not as much as other new places we've tried. We will be back and update this post, for sure.

The food here is OKAY. The customer service was great. They opened the doors for us, greeted us, and the waitress took our drink orders quickly. We came during breakfast time and ordered the Eggs Benedict, Omelet, and 2 Orders of the 2 Eggs Your Way. The menu is on paper and there's not much choices to choose from. Food came and the appearance of it was okay actually... The 2 Eggs your way portion for the rice was really small -- Locals love their rice right? One of the 2 Eggs your Way had 3 portuguese sausages while my friends had 3 portuguese sausages and spam. (I don't even know if I was supposed to get spam as well) The restaurant does not have ketchup, mustard, or even shoyu on the table. YOU have to ask for it.. Since the restaurant was busy at the time, it took us forever to get the waiter's attention. I was left thirsty because the waitress never came back to refill our waters. I probably wouldn't come back here in a while. When I do, I'll come during dinner hours.

Finally made it for dinner tonight with a group of friends. For appetizers we tried the crab cakes (the best I've ever had), the ceviche (generally not a fan of ceviche, but this was really good), and the tempura vegetables (I could have eaten the whole plate by myself). Our entrees consisted of the citrus mahi, blackened mahi, fish and chips, and the pork belly. Everything was cooked great, except the pork belly was overcooked to the point of being inedible. I'll give them a pass since everything else was great. Many people don't know how to cook pork belly properly. We shared the "Frenchgasm" dessert. Should have ordered my own as I could have eaten it all. Will be trying lunch and breakfast soon.

We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning-- my mom, my husband, my fourteen-month-old, and me. We were all really impressed with the menu, and decided to try it out, since we all live within walking distance of this spot (yay!) and we are desperate for this kind of place in Wailuku. They were pretty busy, with a party of at least fourteen behind us, but the service was still excellent. The coffee was fresh, and the seating was comfortable. The server (Ikaika) was extremely accommodating. We started with French toast for our little one, but we all tried it-- it was great! Super dense, with a crusty sweetness. It didn't even need the syrup they provided. My mom and I each had a Benedict-- she got the classic, I got the crab cake. Both were superb-- I haven't had such a perfectly-poached egg in a restaurant in a long time! I can't tell you how many times I've gotten them overcooked at VERY nice places. My husband had the "All About the Pork" omelet with fried rice, and said it was great. It looked good! The fried rice looked absolutely outstanding. The service was very attentive, and it was a very nice setting for a Sunday breakfast. The only thing that kept me from giving this five stars is that the potatoes (served alongside our eggs Benedict) were cold. Not being a fan of potatoes, I probably would've asked for something different anyway, but it was still disappointing. Otherwise, this place is fantastic! I can't wait to go back for lunch or dinner-- but I'm thrilled to have a place like this so close! I am praying that it does well, and I'm sure it will.

I was pleasantly surprise by the decor and ambiance in such an unassuming area like Vineyard Street. We had lunch at Aria's this past Saturday, May 30, 2015. I ordered the Turkey sandwich on focaccia and my friend had the Maui onion soup with fish tacos. We both enjoyed our meals. The service was friendly and efficient. I will definitely be back.

First time eating here and the experience was great! Had the fish and chips which came with a jalapeño tartar sauce. The fish was excellent and the chips were perfect! Worst customer service ever! Did a phone order, didn't know where the place was or how to get there and when I finally knew where. I place an order been on hold a couple of times and finally he took my order I asked him what was in the bacon burger and answered like he was annoyed and then I ordered anyways at the end of the conversation I heard him say "man that was painful" taking my order and talking to me. Just had lunch at Aria's, Wailuku. It's a nice, quaint place in historic Wailuku town owned and run by a couple of brothers, Magic and Ed. They are an awesome duo! I had a wonderful crab sandwich and my husband had a blue cheese burger....so ono!!!! We will definitely be back!

I have been watching and reading the reviews for this restaurant and was anxious to try them. We stopped by on Friday Town Night and asked if we could be seated. By chance, they had a table for us!! They were serving this amazing family style fish dinner that had the most beautiful presentation!! We watched others as they enjoyed this marvel. My husband and I are light eaters, so we had salads. The portions are huge, fresh and tasty!! We immensely enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere and the aloha of the owners and servers. A most enjoyable experience and are going back today for breakfast.

Food was great loved the crab cakes my citrus mahi was awsome they said it was 20 mins was way less that was a huge plus only complaint is because its not very big it was super loud. I felt like I was yelling at my husband. Prices are even better. You can also bring your own wine wish I knew that will note for next time they even give u a bucket of ice if you have champagne. Not so sure about this place anymore. We tried calling one day to put in a takeout order. We were put on hold for over 15 minutes. When we tried to call back no one answered. Also, my friend who introduced us to the place said they've raised their prices about $3-4. Not cool. They were so awesome because of great value and quality food. Also, my cousin ate there last week and found a huge bug in her salad. Yikes!! Not good....maybe they're still working out the kinks but man get it together guys. I had such high hopes for this place.

I am an Eggs Benedict freak and was pleasantly surprised with Aria's Benedict. The hollandaise was creamy and buttery, I would have bathed in it if I could. My side of french toast was nice and custard-y, not bready, but custard-y. The sample I had of my boyfriends omelette was decent. The omelette was cooked well, which is a big deal. The salsa was sweet and appropriate for breakfast. A few days later I returned for lunch, holy crap how the tables have turned. We had to wait a while for our food and when it arrived it was, well, cold for one thing and bland, bland, bland. Ever heard of salt? And we're in Hawaii, learn how to cook fish! Our table had a nice view of the kitchen though, and it was thrilling to see the cooks not ever using gloves or washing their hands. Also, the restaurant manager/owner was quite clueless. I don't understand how standing on chairs and tables to adjust fans, and hanging over guests are okay. Plus he said some pretty rude things to quite a few people.

We've been to Aria's a few times ... the first time it was GREAT! Service was on point - fast, friendly, available. Really thought that this would be our new "go to" in town but each subsequent visit has been subpar (Yelp should give the option for zero stars). Service since has not been on point - not fast, not friendly, not available. Tonite was the last straw - walked in behind a couple who was greeted warmly by the waitress who asked how many in their party as she was on her way to pour water for a table that was already sitting, needless to say that couple was confused - were they supposed to follow her? hmmm They were finally seated by the Host who asked if they had a reservation (as if not having one they were less than desirable) as they were led to their table. We were passed over for the lady who came in AFTER we did, she was not asked if she had a reservation, we were not given any acknowledgement or reason as to why we had been passed over but she was greeted warmly by the Host and sat quickly. Finally it was our turn and of course, we were asked "Do you have a reservation?" - when we said no, we were led to the table right by the door, the one we had been standing next to for the last 15 minutes. There were 2 servers and the Host (who kept pulling the servers away to talk to them). I ordered as soon as we were sat cause who knows when that waitress was going to come back? She hadn't even taken the other's couple's order yet!! Except for that first time, it's been bad bad and worse - we will not be going back and I most definitely will not be referring people here. Can't wait for them to close down so that another more customer-oriented establishment can open in their place. SAD

Went for breakfast this week and loved it so much we went back for dinner last night. Reasonable prices with amazing food! I'm still day dreaming about the frenchtoast. How could such a standard staple taste so different and special? Try it and you'll experience the Creme Brule of french toast. Great staff. Around 10 am, we call and inquire what time they will be serving breakfast until. The woman who answers the phone says "We'll be serving breakfast all the way until 3 pm which is when we close until we reopen for dinner!" Sooooo ... we make a 40 minute drive from our hotel. When we get there, we are seated and given a lunch menu. When we ask for a menu with the breakfast items, the server looks at us like we're crazy and says "Oh ... We're not doing breakfast anymore." WTF!? We tell our server that we had called about an hour ago and was told that breakfast was served all day! He says, "I'm sorry ... I don't know why they would tell you that." and walks away. Now I'm getting really annoyed. Since we had already made the 40 minute drive (in traffic and a crazy ass thunderstorm), we decide to stay. I decided to order their hamburger steak (how can you mess that up) with mac salad. What a disappointment! The hamburger patty looked on par with a May's frozen patty from Costco and had no taste whatsoever. The gravy and mac salad were also tasteless and everything came in an odd shaped bowl which made cutting the patty very difficult. Cmon now ... How in the world can you mess up a hamburger steak plate when you're a local restaurant in Hawaii? I'm a local guy so I know my hamburger steak plates! So sad. The saving grace was the ahi poke which my family thought was pretty good. It came with the standard ogo (seaweed) and onions and the ahi did look fresh. My son enjoyed his cheeseburger which came with a side of thick cut fries. The strange thing was that when we asked our server for some ranch dressing for my son's fries, they said that they didn't carry ranch dressing. Instead, they mixed up some mayo and ketchup which was the next best thing I suppose. Now for the kicker ... Our server (who already had an idea that I was somewhat annoyed) comes up to us and says "Hey guys ... Ready for some dessert?!" Our Frenchgasm or Haupiagasm desserts are awesome!" We agree to try the Frenchgasm at the recommendation of our server. 5 minutes later, he approaches us sheepishly and says, "Uuuuhhhh ... Sorry ... We can't do the dessert. I'm so sorry." WHAAAAATT?? So you recommend a dessert for us and 5 min later you tell us "you can't do it"? That blew my mind!! It was 12:45 pm, the place was open until 3 pm, and you can't make your most popular dessert (according to our server). What the hell is wrong with this place!? This place is a fricken joke. There seems to be absolutely no communication between the staff and management. One person says we do breakfast all day and the other person says we don't. Our server offers us dessert and the kitchen says "we can't do it". If our server wasn't actually a pretty nice guy, I'd have definitely given this place a ONE star review because my initial gut feeling is that this place sucks! I'm all about customer service and this place is definitely lacking in that department!! Therefore ... TWO stars it is.

These people are wonderful! I wandered in late at night because I was waiting for a tow truck for my car. They were closed, but took one look at me, and offered me a chicken Caesar salad. The salad was huge, and when I tried to compensate them, they declined my offer. They gave me a huge, beautiful, and tasty salad for free! Who does that? We are returning tonite for dinner to sample some of the delicious looking items on the menu. Check them out!

Family owned restaurant. I was staying at the hostel next door and just happened to stop by. Really good food - better than most of the fine-dining restaurants in Chicago. I had the scallops pasta and it was amazing. The service is very personal and family-oriented. They are relatively new, and I wish them the very best for their continued success. Hopefully, they can keep up the great quality of their services and cooking! Prices are very reasonable too. Overall, I would definitely go back to eat here.

I've had a couple of really great dinners at this new restaurant. Lamb shank, pork belly, surf and turf and pork chop. The preparations for all were creative and very tasty. No liquor license, but you can byob, which I like. Tried breakfast, but must have hit it on an off day, as my omelet was not that great. I'll give breakfast another shot and will definitely be back again for dinner. What a great addition to Wailuku town!

Don't let the outside appearance of the older building discourage you. Turns out the food and service are quite good here. Glad we stumbled upon this place while looking for another restaurant that happened to be closed at the time. I would definitely recommend Aria's if you're looking for a place to eat while in Wailuku.

This place is an amazing gem. I ordered the pork hash skillet with poached eggs over potatoes and it arrived piping hot, with the poached eggs perfectly done. So often in a skillet the potatoes are tough and overdone, but happy to say that was NOT the case here. These potatoes were perfect, soft and chewy and flavorful. The Hollandaise sauce on the side was a nice surprise. It was simply the best Hollandaise sauce I have ever had at a restaurant. A good Hollandaise is hard to get right. It was rich and sumptuous with the right amount of tang. Aria's Hollandaise sauce is even better than the Halekulani's version. We ordered fried rice on the side, and it arrived also hot, perfectly done, with a smoky pork flavor permeating the dish to make it a sublime version of fried rice, complete with fresh green onions garnishing the top. The loco moco was similarly sublime, with the beef lean and perfectly done, along with eggs over easy that were just right. This is a fantastic place to have breakfast, not to be missed. We will return to try their lunch menu too!

The quinoa salad was amazing, the eggplant was perfect, the flavors were on point! Dressing was fresh clean and tasty. We had three orders of veggie putanesca, now I love putanesca I love the big flavors of capers, olives, the acidity of the tom sauce. I was so very disappointed by this dish. It was not a putanesca in the sense it was not a tom sauce, it was a butter sauce. The were few olvies and capers, just a couple other veggies tossed in here. The pasta it's self was very very nice and cooked perfectly. But the dish was just bland. The service was very helpful, patient and accommodating. They are new, and I will try it again. I here great things about the breakfast and look forward to trying.

Impressed! I went last night night for the first time and was thoroughly impressed! Clean and updated dining atmosphere - I loved the artwork hanging on the walls. The food was excellent: fresh, tasty - well seasoned, and good portion sizes. I had the Lamb Shank and my friend had the Pork Belly. Both came with petite Caesar salad that was anything but petite. It was the size of an average side salad with fresh dressing. The server even offered to add fresh ground pepper - an unusual happening at most local restaurants. I asked for and received mashed potatoes with my shank. They were oh so creamy! My friend Dee was craving protein and really enjoyed the tender and well cooked Pork Belly, but LOVED the mushroom risotto that was served with it. Everything was good and I even ran into old friends that also happened to pick Wednesday night to dine at Aria's. Its good to know that Wailuku now has a great evening dining spot. I will be back!

Clean place, and a menu that will suit visitors and locals alike. One of the very FEW places on Maui to get a great tasting lunch/dinner plate for $9! The quinoa/feta salad was good ($11), as was loco moco, hamburger steak and chopped steak. The chopped steak was a little different (sweeter than most), bit still tasty. A major POSITIVE here is that they are flexible with the menu, allowing you to order lunch at dinner, and vice versa...a lot of other places, you have to only order off specific menus at given times, which often can be frustrating. Go early and be prepared to wait as there is a line. Definitely a place that you get true value, without sacrifice of quality.

10/10 stars!! Cheap and tasty with huge portions. Pork bao sooooo tasty, moist, with the perfect aoli and right amount of greens. Highlight of the restaurant. Clam chowder was homemade with real clams. Seafood club was huge and filling. Lamb sandwich was not so lamby and perfect on a focaccia bread. Pork belly should've been braised but instead it was deep fried goodness. And the risotto was ah-mazing! Nice local gem right in the heart of wailuku. Can't wait to go again

Very disappointed in the prices! Food was good but not worth the price at all. After our meal my husband and I decided to share the "chocolategasm" having no idea at all what it would be or how big because our server wouldn't tell us. It's not on the menu so we had no idea how much it cost. It seemed so "secret-secret". When it's delivered its basically a glorified fancy creme filled malasada, exactly the size of a malasada. So we realized that it wasn't enough to share so we ordered a scoop of ice cream to go with it. When our bill comes they charged us $7.00 for the one scoop of ice cream!!!!! The "chocolategasm" was $8.00!! CRAZY!! We spent $15.00 for basically a malasada and a scoop of ice cream, ridiculous! We told our server that we would have never ordered the ice cream if we knew it was going to cost $7.00 for one scoop. They really need to put the price on their menu or at least warn the customer. They are in the wrong part of the island if they are going to charge those crazy prices.

Wow. Ate there for the first time yesterday, absolutely one of Central Maui's best. Sandwich was very good, large enough to take some home. My husband's was equally good. Service very good, accurate, fast. Will definitely be back soon.

This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, and being in Wailuku it's a bit out of the usual west and south coast tourist range (yay!). However, service was excellent, the menu is varied and ambitious, and the food quality was outstanding. Amongst our four lunch entrees, the lamb ragu was the favorite with the salmon BLT a close second. Ambience is a wee bit sterile, a bit too open, but that's a minor quibble about an otherwise wonderful dining experience. Though we had no trouble walking in, they stated that reservations are generally a safer approach.

I work in Wailuku and have heard good reviews and a lot of bad. Went for dinner tonight and had a perfect dining experience. We were seated right away. The restaurant was super busy but our waiter was on it. Food came out fast and was delicious. I had fish tacos and my boyfriend had the burger with bacon and blue cheese. Super happy with the prices. I can't wait to go back.

A varied selection on the menu, definitely something for everyone, with reasonable pricing. This was our first visit but it will not be the last. My wife had the classic burger and it certainly was that! You would need the mouth of a humpback whale to get the first bite. I had the lamb sandwich which was a symphony of taste in delicious harmony in my mouth. We can't wait to be hungry again in order to try something else in this place. Great service, atmosphere, food. Also very reasonable for what you are getting. It's rare that I'm up so early to catch breakfast, so when I do, it should be something special. We came to the right place. We actually arrived a bit earlier than when they opened (8:30 on a hot Saturday). They saw us waiting outside and opened a bit earlier so we could sit in the AC cooled restaurant. Impressive. We were the first and only ones there and service was very prompt, attentive, and friendly. Please understand that although it's pretty much expected that you have good service when a food establishment is not busy, it's also a great opportunity for the server to find someplace to hide and relax before the rush comes. This is especially so if they know your bill won't provide a good tip at the end of your meal. I'm happy to report this wasn't the case. I recommend the crab cake benedict. I could tell they spent the amount of time and effort to make it. Portion was right and it was full of actual crab meat. And it's 12 bucks! That's the price of an appetizer somewhere in Lahaina. I'm already thinking of when I'll come back.

We started with crab cake appetizers. OMG, they were wonderful. We all had sandwiches, and everyone raved about theirs. My lamb tzatziki was only 'okay' to me... I mean, it was good, but nothing to write home about. Service was quick and friendly. We were able to get in and out in less than an hour, which is great because we had to get back to work. For sure, we'll be back for their crab cakes. I also wanted to sample other items, like their pork belly.

Aria's is a solid restaurant. The food is good and reasonably priced. My favorite meal is the lemon caper mahi mahi (or citrus mahi mahi). I think it goes really well with the Ceasar salad which is fresh and flavorful without too much dressing. The french onion soup has amazing flavor, my one (minor) complaint about it is that it is very thick -- it could use a little more broth, but I really like broth in soup. The bread slices and cheese that are in the soup complement it very well. I think a great meal option would be for a soup and side salad. Most recently, I went with a friend, and we split a salad and each got a soup. (Hint:hint Aria's -- side salad! The regular portion is big!) The Char Siu sliders are an excellent appetizer -- and filling with a great mix of flavors -- think manapua + tangy cole slaw. I've had the lamb sandwich before which has an excellent foccacia bread. The lamb is a great quality, and the spices used as the sauce for it are surprising, and they work so well (chocolate chipotle). All in all, I've only had good food from Aria's. Parking is easy in the public parking across the street -- just be sure to cross safely, people can drive a little crazy on Vineyard.

The service and owner are very friendly. The ambiance was casual and even had jazz playing as the background music. I had the Kula Greens Salad and the veggies were fresh. The dressing was a little too sweet for me...wish it had more of a bite to it. My friend got the Salmon and instead of bread had it on a bed of greens. She said it was good and we ordered a side of fries which were also good. Maybe next time I would try something a little different. They have a pretty big menu with a lot of ways to go. A good place to go for casual dining.

Awesome on all fronts! Delicious food at a reasonable price point with large portions, great service, plenty of street/lot parking and clean and cool atmosphere. What more can one ask for? I experienced a later lunch on a weekday and ordered the pork belly with mushroom risotto and my coworker got their crab stuffed mahi mahi special. Both were amazing! Thick cuts of crispy skin pork belly over the tastiest risotto adorned with Asian slaw for added texture...holy heffer! And the mahi was cooked to perfection too. For you Yelp readers, here's an off the menu tip: The chef gets surprise fish deliveries from time to time when certain fishes are freshest and gets creative with them...all for a reasonable multi-course for dinner.

The best Value-Cost relationship in Wailuku, hands down. These meals taste like they should cost twice as much, and the presentation really completes the experience. The mahi fish tacos are phenomenal, the pork belly was quite good, although you may want to try a different combination as the flavor profiles of these are actually very similar. I would stick with the fish tacos in this case and check out another entree. The "French-Gasm" is highly recommended. In the spirit of fun I will choose not to spoil what it is, unlike other reviews. Let yourself be pleasantly surprised, but trust me, you should try it. I wish I minded the noise level more, but I just don't. I personally can't do the quiet, prim environments myself. It was noisy, yes, because everyone present was having a great time and enjoying the food and humble atmosphere.

Very disappointing given their strong reviews and recommendations here on Yelp. The menu looks delicious, but the execution was quite poor. I decided on a Caesar salad topped with the Mahi Mahi, which was overcooked, and the salad itself was very lack luster. No croutons, shavings of Parmesan, or anything to give it vibrancy, texture or appeal. The vegetable tempura was just poor. The batter was.... I don't know how to describe it... Hard? Chewy? Like the batter had been over mixed and it was very floury tasting. I became sick immediately after consuming it, and walked around the rest of the day with a distended uncomfortable stomach, ACK! Perhaps it was an off day, but I am in no rush to return.

When Aria first opened we could stop in anytime without reservations. As time went by we found our spontaneous decisions to just drop in thwarted by a restaurant filled with other diners and walked away saying "reservations are probably a good idea." But soon we found ourselves hearing "We have no accommodations tonight." And we decided that calling early for reservations is a must! So it was with nervous trepidation that I called just now for dinner tonight for three at about 6:30. And it was victory I felt when Jessica said "I only have 6 o'clock." Whoop whoop! Tonight I feast on lamb shank on polenta! Again! And we're bringing our foodie son from California for the first time. He is going to be sooooooooo impressed! Jessica, I love you! Very, VERY disappointed. We just finished eating here 15 minutes ago and I'm sick. Possibly food poisoning. We ordered French toast and the loco moco. The French toast was completely undercooked and runny. It looked like it was dipped in batter and put right on to our plate without cooking it. When we asked our server, she said it didn't look right. She called the manager over to look at it and he gave us a BS excuse, "it is injected with uhhhh, ummm, uhhh". He didn't even finish his "explanation", he just stood there and refused to switch it out. Horrible. (Btw, the table next to us ordered the French toast and it looked VERY different from ours...maybe because it was actually cooked!). As if this wasn't enough, the beef patty in the loco moco was rotten. I'm not kidding, it smelt and tasted rancid. I took one bite and felt sick instantly! It was sour. Anyone who's smelt meat that is on the verge of spoiling will know what I mean. It was spoiled! Took one bite and didn't eat anymore. I will never return to this restaurant!!!

Just happened to walk by this restaurant and so glad we did. Stopped in for lunch on a rainy day and it had a very roomy and relaxed atmosphere. The server was okay and the host (who seemed like he may have been the manager as well) was very attentive and nice. Food: I had the fish taco appetizer as my meal and they were delicious. The sauce on them was perfect and the fish was nice and moist. My boyfriend had the Lamb Shank entree, it was definitely the best thing I've had on the island. It was so tender and full of flavor. I highly recommend getting it.

Went to Aria's tonight and had a wonderful meal! This is their opening week so I was expecting some hiccups but experienced none whatsoever. Ikaika greeted us warmly and let us choose our table. I always like to scope out the furniture at a new restaurant and really liked their dark brown tables and chairs. The chairs were really comfortable and I found myself almost dozing off in between courses. The Manager Ed came by to greet us and instantly made us feel like family. The dinner menu had lots of great looking choices and Ed was kind enough to bring out their lunch menu too and said those items would be available for the evening...which made us feel pretty special. This also proved useful as my friend ordered the roast pork off the lunch menu which looked and smelled amazing. We started with the French onion soup and it was really really good. There was a big puff pastry arrogantly sitting atop a healthy bed of cheese with classic Maui Onions cooked just right submersed in perfectly seasoned broth. I taught this tasty pastry a serious lesson in humility as it slowly drank in the soup providing a great flavor combination. For my main dish I ordered the shrimp puttanesca which was loaded with shrimp and had a great combination of capers, tomatoes, basil, and kalamata in a butter wine sauce. It was really impressive, I felt like I was in the Teatro Alla Scala listening to Caruso himself--I understood now the restaurant's name, it all made sense. Later after my friend had an excellent ice cream dessert I found out Aria was actually the owners' grandmother's name...but it still works for me in the operatic sense, perhaps now just as a pun. I highly recommend coming to Aria's if you're in the Wailuku area. You get Wailea sophistication and gourmet mastery at Wailuku prices...and you may just hear the faint sound of Caruso belting out an aria as tasty morsels hit your lips.

Very well priced quaint little restaurant. I went with a group of 6 adults and had a great time. I ordered the beet salad and added mahi mahi. The total for my meal was $11 for the salad and an additional $6 to add fish which is a steal for dinner on Maui. Air conditioned so much so that you'll want a wrap. It's a BYOB so plan ahead.

Came here last month for lunch based on the great Yelp reviews. I was visiting Wailuku and wanted to take my uncle who lives out here to a nice restaurant. So disappointed though ... If you're going to come here it is probably best to stick with the food recommendations on Yelp. The char sui sliders were good but I'm guessing neither the buns nor the pork is made in house. If it wasn't for those I'd give this place 1 star. I ordered shrimp sautéed with veggies and garlic--it basically tasted like a white person made it with bottled Asian sauce. Highly don't recommend this item. My uncle had the hamburger steak and his sentiment echoed my meal--a white person cooked it and it tasted store bought versus homemade. My boyfriend had the fried chicken which was more like popcorn chicken and said it was meh. Meh is better than strong dislike so I guess he made out okay with a meh meal. Also, nobody seemed happy working here. Not the most important thing in the world but it did seem strange.

Dined for the second time yesterday. First time was lunch when I had the bao sliders and it was really great. Went for dinner last night and we were lucky to arrive before the dinner rush so we were seated right away. Our waitress was really nice and attentive and the food was once again very good and quite reasonable. The manager threw me off a bit - he was nice enough to us but the restaurant isn't very big. He reprimanded several employees right in front of the dining room and generally seamed to hover in strange areas. At one point he yelled in the kitchen something along the lines of "Don't undermine my authority" which made me really feel that the employees are walking on eggshells. Perhaps some management skills are in order or else this place won't survive if turnover is high.

Fresh and delicious and great service! Had their beets and kale salad with a miso citrus orange dressing and added grilled shrimp to it. It was delicious and just right for lunch. But when I asked for dessert, they change desserts daily, I was lucky to have their pistachio, shortbread-type of crust mango cheesecake. By far, the best cheesecake I have ever had!!! My husband and I had lunch here. We both had sandwiches, Braised Lamb with tzatziki sauce and Turkey Avocado. My lamb was great, tender and tasty. My husband liked his sandwich lots too. But the best thing about our lunch was dessert. The Frenchgasm: buttery French toast center, cheesecake-like cream, topped with light blueberry lavender syrup, whip cream and mint. EXCELLENT. Great lunch food, but I will happily come back here just for ten more of these!!!!!! We were able to speak to the owner who came out and said hello. Overall a pleasant and yummy experience!!!

My new favorite place with great service and fresh, flavorful food right in the center of Wailuku! They offer a blend of sophisticated and loco dishes so there's something for everyone. Our group ordered a variety at dinner including the fish tacos( yummy) braised chocolate lamb shank, fresh fish of the day, roasted beet salad(huge!) and crab cakes an a surprise trust them desert. Each dish was presented beautifully and we all loved every single bite. It's a BYOB restaurant so bring your own and they will serve it! I only wish their deserts were more than a surprise and more variety to end the wonderful meal. Can't wait to go back and try one of the other dishes I had my eye on and I'll probably skip desert!

Once again, we caught Sam Sato's at a bad time so I used my Yelp monocle and found Aria's nearby. there is street parking right out front and I believe you can park across the street in the empty lot. Not quite sure. the place is small and cute, the tables are nice and there is art work hanging along side the walls. The restroom is a unisex-one-stall type. Hopefully you don't have to go. It wasn't as clean as I'd like, but it wasn't all that dirty either. We were greeted upon entering the restaurant but the host said it'd be a 20 minute wait, there were 2 tables that were clearly open and could fit our party. About 6-9 minutes passed and the host sat us. Weird. The ceviche appetizer was a let down, the chunks of meat were too big and they served it with very little chips. The fried chicken plate was not satisfying, as the pieces of chicken were very small. The server said the mac salad was good, but it wasnt. I wanted the braised pork, but they were out of that, along with the sliders. I had the chicken caprese sandwich, it was good but the salad it came along with had browning pieces of lettuce. We had to keep asking them to refill our waters. There was a large group of females who looked like they were celebrating a bridal shower. However, they looked like they were being served well. Overall, I'd like to go back to try more things off their menu.

I don't understand how this place has such a high rating. The chicken caprese sandwich we ordered was fairly good, but the mahimahi we ordered had a bit too much spice. The manga salsa was great. Unfortunately the sides on the plate were somewhat disgusting. The rice was one gelatinous mass and one of our salads had a very large glob of mayo after already having too much dressing on it already. The service was good.

Around 10 am, we call and inquire what time they will be serving breakfast until. The woman who answers the phone says "We'll be serving breakfast all the way until 3 pm which is when we close until we reopen for dinner!" Sooooo ... we make a 40 minute drive from our hotel. When we get there, we are seated and given a lunch menu. When we ask for a menu with the breakfast items, the server looks at us like we're crazy and says "Oh ... We're not doing breakfast anymore." WTF!? We tell our server that we had called about an hour ago and was told that breakfast was served all day! He says, "I'm sorry ... I don't know why they would tell you that." and walks away. Now I'm getting really annoyed. Since we had already made the 40 minute drive (in traffic and a crazy ass thunderstorm), we decide to stay. I decided to order their hamburger steak (how can you mess that up) with mac salad. What a disappointment! The hamburger patty looked on par with a May's frozen patty from Costco and had no taste whatsoever. The gravy and mac salad were also tasteless and everything came in an odd shaped bowl which made cutting the patty very difficult. Cmon now ... How in the world can you mess up a hamburger steak plate when you're a local restaurant in Hawaii? I'm a local guy so I know my hamburger steak plates! So sad. The saving grace was the ahi poke which my family thought was pretty good. It came with the standard ogo (seaweed) and onions and the ahi did look fresh. My son enjoyed his cheeseburger which came with a side of thick cut fries. The strange thing was that when we asked our server for some ranch dressing for my son's fries, they said that they didn't carry ranch dressing. Instead, they mixed up some mayo and ketchup which was the next best thing I suppose. Now for the kicker ... Our server (who already had an idea that I was somewhat annoyed) comes up to us and says "Hey guys ... Ready for some dessert?!" Our Frenchgasm or Haupiagasm desserts are awesome!" We agree to try the Frenchgasm at the recommendation of our server. 5 minutes later, he approaches us sheepishly and says, "Uuuuhhhh ... Sorry ... We can't do the dessert. I'm so sorry." WHAAAAATT?? So you recommend a dessert for us and 5 min later you tell us "you can't do it"? That blew my mind!! It was 12:45 pm, the place was open until 3 pm, and you can't make your most popular dessert (according to our server). What the hell is wrong with this place!? This place is a fricken joke. There seems to be absolutely no communication between the staff and management. One person says we do breakfast all day and the other person says we don't. Our server offers us dessert and the kitchen says "we can't do it". If our server wasn't actually a pretty nice guy, I'd have definitely given this place a ONE star review because my initial gut feeling is that this place sucks! I'm all about customer service and this place is definitely lacking in that department!! Therefore ... TWO stars it is.

We've been to Aria's a few times ... the first time it was GREAT! Service was on point - fast, friendly, available. Really thought that this would be our new "go to" in town but each subsequent visit has been subpar (Yelp should give the option for zero stars). Service since has not been on point - not fast, not friendly, not available. Tonite was the last straw - walked in behind a couple who was greeted warmly by the waitress who asked how many in their party as she was on her way to pour water for a table that was already sitting, needless to say that couple was confused - were they supposed to follow her? hmmm They were finally seated by the Host who asked if they had a reservation (as if not having one they were less than desirable) as they were led to their table. We were passed over for the lady who came in AFTER we did, she was not asked if she had a reservation, we were not given any acknowledgement or reason as to why we had been passed over but she was greeted warmly by the Host and sat quickly. Finally it was our turn and of course, we were asked "Do you have a reservation?" - when we said no, we were led to the table right by the door, the one we had been standing next to for the last 15 minutes. There were 2 servers and the Host (who kept pulling the servers away to talk to them). I ordered as soon as we were sat cause who knows when that waitress was going to come back? She hadn't even taken the other's couple's order yet!! Except for that first time, it's been bad bad and worse - we will not be going back and I most definitely will not be referring people here. Can't wait for them to close down so that another more customer-oriented establishment can open in their place. SAD

Came here from iao valley up the road on a Sunday. Lucky I got in because they close at 2 on Sunday's and it was packed. Wait wasn't too bad. 20 minutes. Ordered the crab club. Omg. Soooooo good! These people are wonderful! I wandered in late at night because I was waiting for a tow truck for my car. They were closed, but took one look at me, and offered me a chicken Caesar salad. The salad was huge, and when I tried to compensate them, they declined my offer. They gave me a huge, beautiful, and tasty salad for free! Who does that? We are returning tonite for dinner to sample some of the delicious looking items on the menu. Check them out!

I've had a couple of really great dinners at this new restaurant. Lamb shank, pork belly, surf and turf and pork chop. The preparations for all were creative and very tasty. No liquor license, but you can byob, which I like. Tried breakfast, but must have hit it on an off day, as my omelet was not that great. I'll give breakfast another shot and will definitely be back again for dinner. What a great addition to Wailuku town!

Family owned restaurant. I was staying at the hostel next door and just happened to stop by. Really good food - better than most of the fine-dining restaurants in Chicago. I had the scallops pasta and it was amazing. The service is very personal and family-oriented. They are relatively new, and I wish them the very best for their continued success. Don't let the outside appearance of the older building discourage you. Turns out the food and service are quite good here. Glad we stumbled upon this place while looking for another restaurant that happened to be closed at the time. I would definitely recommend Aria's if you're looking for a place to eat while in Wailuku.

This place is an amazing gem. I ordered the pork hash skillet with poached eggs over potatoes and it arrived piping hot, with the poached eggs perfectly done. So often in a skillet the potatoes are tough and overdone, but happy to say that was NOT the case here. These potatoes were perfect, soft and chewy and flavorful. The Hollandaise sauce on the side was a nice surprise. It was simply the best Hollandaise sauce I have ever had at a restaurant. A good Hollandaise is hard to get right. It was rich and sumptuous with the right amount of tang. Aria's Hollandaise sauce is even better than the Halekulani's version. We ordered fried rice on the side, and it arrived also hot, perfectly done, with a smoky pork flavor permeating the dish to make it a sublime version of fried rice, complete with fresh green onions garnishing the top. The loco moco was similarly sublime, with the beef lean and perfectly done, along with eggs over easy that were just right. This is a fantastic place to have breakfast, not to be missed. We will return to try their lunch menu too!

The quinoa salad was amazing, the eggplant was perfect, the flavors were on point! Dressing was fresh clean and tasty. We had three orders of veggie putanesca, now I love putanesca I love the big flavors of capers, olives, the acidity of the tom sauce. I was so very disappointed by this dish. It was not a putanesca in the sense it was not a tom sauce, it was a butter sauce. The were few olvies and capers, just a couple other veggies tossed in here. The pasta it's self was very very nice and cooked perfectly. But the dish was just bland. The service was very helpful, patient and accommodating. They are new, and I will try it again. I here great things about the breakfast and look forward to trying.

Impressed! I went last night night for the first time and was thoroughly impressed! Clean and updated dining atmosphere - I loved the artwork hanging on the walls. The food was excellent: fresh, tasty - well seasoned, and good portion sizes. I had the Lamb Shank and my friend had the Pork Belly. Both came with petite Caesar salad that was anything but petite. It was the size of an average side salad with fresh dressing. The server even offered to add fresh ground pepper - an unusual happening at most local restaurants. I asked for and received mashed potatoes with my shank. They were oh so creamy! My friend Dee was craving protein and really enjoyed the tender and well cooked Pork Belly, but LOVED the mushroom risotto that was served with it. Everything was good and I even ran into old friends that also happened to pick Wednesday night to dine at Aria's. Its good to know that Wailuku now has a great evening dining spot. I will be back!

Clean place, and a menu that will suit visitors and locals alike. One of the very FEW places on Maui to get a great tasting lunch/dinner plate for $9! The quinoa/feta salad was good ($11), as was loco moco, hamburger steak and chopped steak. The chopped steak was a little different (sweeter than most), bit still tasty. A major POSITIVE here is that they are flexible with the menu, allowing you to order lunch at dinner, and vice versa...a lot of other places, you have to only order off specific menus at given times, which often can be frustrating. Go early and be prepared to wait as there is a line. Definitely a place that you get true value, without sacrifice of quality.

Very disappointed in the prices! Food was good but not worth the price at all. After our meal my husband and I decided to share the "chocolategasm" having no idea at all what it would be or how big because our server wouldn't tell us. It's not on the menu so we had no idea how much it cost. It seemed so "secret-secret". When it's delivered its basically a glorified fancy creme filled malasada, exactly the size of a malasada. So we realized that it wasn't enough to share so we ordered a scoop of ice cream to go with it. When our bill comes they charged us $7.00 for the one scoop of ice cream!!!!! The "chocolategasm" was $8.00!! CRAZY!! We spent $15.00 for basically a malasada and a scoop of ice cream, ridiculous! We told our server that we would have never ordered the ice cream if we knew it was going to cost $7.00 for one scoop. They really need to put the price on their menu or at least warn the customer. They are in the wrong part of the island if they are going to charge those crazy prices.

This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, and being in Wailuku it's a bit out of the usual west and south coast tourist range (yay!). However, service was excellent, the menu is varied and ambitious, and the food quality was outstanding. Amongst our four lunch entrees, the lamb ragu was the favorite with the salmon BLT a close second. Ambience is a wee bit sterile, a bit too open, but that's a minor quibble about an otherwise wonderful dining experience. Though we had no trouble walking in, they stated that reservations are generally a safer approach.

I work in Wailuku and have heard good reviews and a lot of bad. Went for dinner tonight and had a perfect dining experience. We were seated right away. The restaurant was super busy but our waiter was on it. Food came out fast and was delicious. I had fish tacos and my boyfriend had the burger with bacon and blue cheese. Super happy with the prices. I can't wait to go back.

Great service, atmosphere, food. Also very reasonable for what you are getting. It's rare that I'm up so early to catch breakfast, so when I do, it should be something special. We came to the right place. We actually arrived a bit earlier than when they opened (8:30 on a hot Saturday). They saw us waiting outside and opened a bit earlier so we could sit in the AC cooled restaurant. Impressive. We were the first and only ones there and service was very prompt, attentive, and friendly. Please understand that although it's pretty much expected that you have good service when a food establishment is not busy, it's also a great opportunity for the server to find someplace to hide and relax before the rush comes. This is especially so if they know your bill won't provide a good tip at the end of your meal. I'm happy to report this wasn't the case. I recommend the crab cake benedict. I could tell they spent the amount of time and effort to make it. Portion was right and it was full of actual crab meat. And it's 12 bucks! That's the price of an appetizer somewhere in Lahaina. I'm already thinking of when I'll come back.

Aria's is a solid restaurant. The food is good and reasonably priced. My favorite meal is the lemon caper mahi mahi (or citrus mahi mahi). I think it goes really well with the Ceasar salad which is fresh and flavorful without too much dressing. The french onion soup has amazing flavor, my one (minor) complaint about it is that it is very thick -- it could use a little more broth, but I really like broth in soup. The bread slices and cheese that are in the soup complement it very well. I think a great meal option would be for a soup and side salad. Most recently, I went with a friend, and we split a salad and each got a soup. (Hint:hint Aria's -- side salad! The regular portion is big!) The Char Siu sliders are an excellent appetizer -- and filling with a great mix of flavors -- think manapua + tangy cole slaw. I've had the lamb sandwich before which has an excellent foccacia bread. The lamb is a great quality, and the spices used as the sauce for it are surprising, and they work so well (chocolate chipotle). All in all, I've only had good food from Aria's. Parking is easy in the public parking across the street -- just be sure to cross safely, people can drive a little crazy on Vineyard.

The service and owner are very friendly. The ambiance was casual and even had jazz playing as the background music. I had the Kula Greens Salad and the veggies were fresh. The dressing was a little too sweet for me...wish it had more of a bite to it. My friend got the Salmon and instead of bread had it on a bed of greens. She said it was good and we ordered a side of fries which were also good. Maybe next time I would try something a little different. They have a pretty big menu with a lot of ways to go. A good place to go for casual dining.

Awesome on all fronts! Delicious food at a reasonable price point with large portions, great service, plenty of street/lot parking and clean and cool atmosphere. What more can one ask for? I experienced a later lunch on a weekday and ordered the pork belly with mushroom risotto and my coworker got their crab stuffed mahi mahi special. Both were amazing! Thick cuts of crispy skin pork belly over the tastiest risotto adorned with Asian slaw for added texture...holy heffer! And the mahi was cooked to perfection too. For you Yelp readers, here's an off the menu tip: The chef gets surprise fish deliveries from time to time when certain fishes are freshest and gets creative with them...all for a reasonable multi-course for dinner.

The best Value-Cost relationship in Wailuku, hands down. These meals taste like they should cost twice as much, and the presentation really completes the experience. The mahi fish tacos are phenomenal, the pork belly was quite good, although you may want to try a different combination as the flavor profiles of these are actually very similar. I would stick with the fish tacos in this case and check out another entree. The "French-Gasm" is highly recommended. In the spirit of fun I will choose not to spoil what it is, unlike other reviews. Let yourself be pleasantly surprised, but trust me, you should try it. I wish I minded the noise level more, but I just don't. I personally can't do the quiet, prim environments myself. It was noisy, yes, because everyone present was having a great time and enjoying the food and humble atmosphere.

I've been to Aria's twice now. It is a small unassuming building with an interior that is well done and relaxing. I had the kale and beet salad which was delicious and large enough to split with someone. I also had the crab cakes that were crispy on the outside and moist inside with a fabulous drizzle on it! Very disappointing given their strong reviews and recommendations here on Yelp. The menu looks delicious, but the execution was quite poor. I decided on a Caesar salad topped with the Mahi Mahi, which was overcooked, and the salad itself was very lack luster. No croutons, shavings of Parmesan, or anything to give it vibrancy, texture or appeal. The vegetable tempura was just poor. The batter was.... I don't know how to describe it... Hard? Chewy? Like the batter had been over mixed and it was very floury tasting. I became sick immediately after consuming it, and walked around the rest of the day with a distended uncomfortable stomach, ACK! Perhaps it was an off day, but I am in no rush to return.

When Aria first opened we could stop in anytime without reservations. As time went by we found our spontaneous decisions to just drop in thwarted by a restaurant filled with other diners and walked away saying "reservations are probably a good idea." But soon we found ourselves hearing "We have no accommodations tonight." And we decided that calling early for reservations is a must! So it was with nervous trepidation that I called just now for dinner tonight for three at about 6:30. And it was victory I felt when Jessica said "I only have 6 o'clock." Whoop whoop! Tonight I feast on lamb shank on polenta! Again! And we're bringing our foodie son from California for the first time. He is going to be sooooooooo impressed! Jessica, I love you! We started with crab cake appetizers. OMG, they were wonderful. We all had sandwiches, and everyone raved about theirs. My lamb tzatziki was only 'okay' to me... Very, VERY disappointed. We just finished eating here 15 minutes ago and I'm sick. Possibly food poisoning. We ordered French toast and the loco moco. The French toast was completely undercooked and runny. It looked like it was dipped in batter and put right on to our plate without cooking it. When we asked our server, she said it didn't look right. She called the manager over to look at it and he gave us a BS excuse, "it is injected with uhhhh, ummm, uhhh". He didn't even finish his "explanation", he just stood there and refused to switch it out. Horrible. (Btw, the table next to us ordered the French toast and it looked VERY different from ours...maybe because it was actually cooked!). As if this wasn't enough, the beef patty in the loco moco was rotten. I'm not kidding, it smelt and tasted rancid. I took one bite and felt sick instantly! It was sour. Anyone who's smelt meat that is on the verge of spoiling will know what I mean. It was spoiled! Took one bite and didn't eat anymore. I will never return to this restaurant!!!

Just happened to walk by this restaurant and so glad we did. Stopped in for lunch on a rainy day and it had a very roomy and relaxed atmosphere. The server was okay and the host (who seemed like he may have been the manager as well) was very attentive and nice. Food: I had the fish taco appetizer as my meal and they were delicious. The sauce on them was perfect and the fish was nice and moist. My boyfriend had the Lamb Shank entree, it was definitely the best thing I've had on the island. It was so tender and full of flavor. I highly recommend getting it.

Went to Aria's tonight and had a wonderful meal! This is their opening week so I was expecting some hiccups but experienced none whatsoever. Ikaika greeted us warmly and let us choose our table. I always like to scope out the furniture at a new restaurant and really liked their dark brown tables and chairs. The chairs were really comfortable and I found myself almost dozing off in between courses. The Manager Ed came by to greet us and instantly made us feel like family. The dinner menu had lots of great looking choices and Ed was kind enough to bring out their lunch menu too and said those items would be available for the evening...which made us feel pretty special. This also proved useful as my friend ordered the roast pork off the lunch menu which looked and smelled amazing. We started with the French onion soup and it was really really good. There was a big puff pastry arrogantly sitting atop a healthy bed of cheese with classic Maui Onions cooked just right submersed in perfectly seasoned broth. I taught this tasty pastry a serious lesson in humility as it slowly drank in the soup providing a great flavor combination. For my main dish I ordered the shrimp puttanesca which was loaded with shrimp and had a great combination of capers, tomatoes, basil, and kalamata in a butter wine sauce. It was really impressive, I felt like I was in the Teatro Alla Scala listening to Caruso himself--I understood now the restaurant's name, it all made sense. Later after my friend had an excellent ice cream dessert I found out Aria was actually the owners' grandmother's name...but it still works for me in the operatic sense, perhaps now just as a pun. I highly recommend coming to Aria's if you're in the Wailuku area. You get Wailea sophistication and gourmet mastery at Wailuku prices...and you may just hear the faint sound of Caruso belting out an aria as tasty morsels hit your lips.

Holy Aria!!! Such a small restaurant yet big taste! Ordered the sliders and oh my goodness, it's so perfect. The char siu meat with the slaw is a great pair! So YuM. The order comes with 3 sliders, light with sauce, and on a little bed of greens. I hope this restaurant lasts; located on vineyard st. A diamond in the rough....will surely shine brightly here!!!

Very well priced quaint little restaurant. I went with a group of 6 adults and had a great time. I ordered the beet salad and added mahi mahi. The total for my meal was $11 for the salad and an additional $6 to add fish which is a steal for dinner on Maui. Air conditioned so much so that you'll want a wrap. It's a BYOB so plan ahead.

Came here last month for lunch based on the great Yelp reviews. I was visiting Wailuku and wanted to take my uncle who lives out here to a nice restaurant. So disappointed though ... If you're going to come here it is probably best to stick with the food recommendations on Yelp. The char sui sliders were good but I'm guessing neither the buns nor the pork is made in house. If it wasn't for those I'd give this place 1 star. I ordered shrimp sautéed with veggies and garlic--it basically tasted like a white person made it with bottled Asian sauce. Highly don't recommend this item. My uncle had the hamburger steak and his sentiment echoed my meal--a white person cooked it and it tasted store bought versus homemade. My boyfriend had the fried chicken which was more like popcorn chicken and said it was meh. Meh is better than strong dislike so I guess he made out okay with a meh meal. Also, nobody seemed happy working here. Not the most important thing in the world but it did seem strange.

Dined for the second time yesterday. First time was lunch when I had the bao sliders and it was really great. Went for dinner last night and we were lucky to arrive before the dinner rush so we were seated right away. Our waitress was really nice and attentive and the food was once again very good and quite reasonable. The manager threw me off a bit - he was nice enough to us but the restaurant isn't very big. He reprimanded several employees right in front of the dining room and generally seamed to hover in strange areas. At one point he yelled in the kitchen something along the lines of "Don't undermine my authority" which made me really feel that the employees are walking on eggshells. Perhaps some management skills are in order or else this place won't survive if turnover is high.

My husband and I had lunch here. We both had sandwiches, Braised Lamb with tzatziki sauce and Turkey Avocado. My lamb was great, tender and tasty. My husband liked his sandwich lots too. But the best thing about our lunch was dessert. The Frenchgasm: buttery French toast center, cheesecake-like cream, topped with light blueberry lavender syrup, whip cream and mint. EXCELLENT. Great lunch food, but I will happily come back here just for ten more of these!!!!!! We were able to speak to the owner who came out and said hello. Overall a pleasant and yummy experience!!!

Fresh and delicious and great service! Had their beets and kale salad with a miso citrus orange dressing and added grilled shrimp to it. It was delicious and just right for lunch. But when I asked for dessert, they change desserts daily, I was lucky to have their pistachio, shortbread-type of crust mango cheesecake. By far, the best cheesecake I have ever had!!! Highly recommend.

My new favorite place with great service and fresh, flavorful food right in the center of Wailuku! They offer a blend of sophisticated and loco dishes so there's something for everyone. Our group ordered a variety at dinner including the fish tacos( yummy) braised chocolate lamb shank, fresh fish of the day, roasted beet salad(huge!) and crab cakes an a surprise trust them desert. Each dish was presented beautifully and we all loved every single bite. It's a BYOB restaurant so bring your own and they will serve it! I only wish their deserts were more than a surprise and more variety to end the wonderful meal. Can't wait to go back and try one of the other dishes I had my eye on and I'll probably skip desert!

Once again, we caught Sam Sato's at a bad time so I used my Yelp monocle and found Aria's nearby. there is street parking right out front and I believe you can park across the street in the empty lot. Not quite sure. the place is small and cute, the tables are nice and there is art work hanging along side the walls. The restroom is a unisex-one-stall type. Hopefully you don't have to go. It wasn't as clean as I'd like, but it wasn't all that dirty either. We were greeted upon entering the restaurant but the host said it'd be a 20 minute wait, there were 2 tables that were clearly open and could fit our party. About 6-9 minutes passed and the host sat us. Weird. The ceviche appetizer was a let down, the chunks of meat were too big and they served it with very little chips. The fried chicken plate was not satisfying, as the pieces of chicken were very small. The server said the mac salad was good, but it wasnt. I wanted the braised pork, but they were out of that, along with the sliders. I had the chicken caprese sandwich, it was good but the salad it came along with had browning pieces of lettuce. We had to keep asking them to refill our waters. There was a large group of females who looked like they were celebrating a bridal shower. However, they looked like they were being served well. Overall, I'd like to go back to try more things off their menu.

I don't understand how this place has such a high rating. The chicken caprese sandwich we ordered was fairly good, but the mahimahi we ordered had a bit too much spice. The manga salsa was great. Unfortunately the sides on the plate were somewhat disgusting. The rice was one gelatinous mass and one of our salads had a very large glob of mayo after already having too much dressing on it already. The service was good.

Great new place to enjoy a meal in Wailuku! Right across the big parking lot. We made a reservation because we heard it was always crowded. Enjoyed breakfast. I got three steaming hot pancakes, my friend got the 2 eggs with protugese sausage. We shared a side order of fried rice. That came out a little cold but it tasted good. The portion was a little smaller than I thought it would be for $8. Otherwise, the pirces were really good for really good food. I don't eat eggs but I'm used to breakfast menus not having eggless ideas. The breaksfast skillets looked good and I'd encourage Aria's to create an eggless version with hasbrowns instead! Looking forward to visiting again soon! The lunch and dinner menus looked really good, I'd like to try that next time!

I'm very excited to have such a nice sit down option in old Wailuku town. Don't get me wrong, I love greasy spoon local food like most of the other fair in Wailuku, but it's nice to have a lighter, more refined fair. What a perfect addition for dining options in Wailuku Town! I went with a friend to have lunch. We decided to share the Ceviche, the Quinoa and Kale Salad & the Salmon BLT. I was thrilled that there was no Cilantro in the Ceviche. Although traditionally Ceviche does not call for cilantro, many chefs love to use cilantro in Ceviche and many other dishes. It was tasty and good although some may expect it to be more on the rare side than how we received ours but it was very good. May I suggest more fresh vegetables such as diced tomatoes, cucumbers, celery? The Quinoa Kale Salad had grilled Zuchinni and Feta Cheese. It was so fresh with nice texture and flavor. It was perfectly dressed. The salmon BLT was delicious! I cant wait to go back to try other items as well as try their breakfast menu!

I wish I would have taken a picture of our dinner, but it looked so good, I forgot...& just tore into it. I ordered the citrus mahi ( loved loved loved the lemon caper sauce, and my veggies seemed like they went all "CHOPPED" on it, I loved them...i thought they might have used a torch....but my boyfriend swears it taste grilled, either way it was perfect), and my boyfriend had some vegetarian pasta thing & both were delicious. We also had the frenchgasm, and that was sooo yummy. I ate all my food, seriously - I almost always have lefties, but not here. The service was great! Can't wait to go back, next time I think I'll try the special. I saw the lady next to us ordered a huge steak, 2 shrimp, and some veggies, I was pretty much drooling - next time!!!!

Very out of place but needed in Wailuku. First off...FOOD WAS ONO!!!! We came by high recommendations from my aunty's rave of the PORK BELLY (crispy outer, juicy inner) and MAHI-MAHI (so tasty) dishes. Since we knew that must be a winner...we tried the KULA SALAD (so light & refreshing), LAMB SHANK (fall off the bone) & FRENCHGASM (a special, not on menu but needs to be). All made to perfection and brought to our table in seconds. So that goes to show the QUALITY and SERVICE were outstanding. Friendly staff. All hands were on deck checking in on our well-being. PRICES are very reasonable. AMBIANCE had this simple, classy, elegance...I felt like I was partially in a rich man's lunch room cafeteria and the dining room of my dearest friends' home. But that's what set this place apart. It doesn't quite fit in...but it SO does!

Went here for the first time for dinner. Char siu bao sliders were really good! I had the Asian braised pork belly and my boyfriend had the chop steak. The pork belly wasn't as good as what our server said to be. It had no taste, flavor to it. Really oily. Moments later, my tummy felt really sick. And the next day when I thought about the pork belly, I felt like I was gonna throw up. Chop steak was okay. Don't know if we will be back...

Excellent food both my mother and I cleaned our plates I had the chow fun which had the flat noodles and a sweeter sauce, my mother had the mahi mahi. The place became quickly packed after we arrived so if going to dinner reservations are highly recommended. The service was attentive and friendly. You should try the dessert.

Very nice changes made inside! They took it from a cafeteria feeling dive (4 Sisters Kitchen) to a fine dining but casual restaurant with a local touch! Located on Vineyard Street, across the municipal parking lot (so free parking is abundant on weekends and timed on weekdays). Small place to eat, only 7 or 8 tables inside, but nicely air-conditioned and clean. The menu is not huge, but seems to have a huge variety. From salads to seafood, to local favorites like hamburger steak and roast pork. And they served us breakfast during lunch, so not a bad deal! The food...not great, but pretty good, IMHO. I had the roast pork plate with macaroni salad and rice. The rice was a bit hard; either the rice pot was left opened or not enough water when steaming. The roast pork was good, but a bit tough. Small portion compared to other places, namely Lau Hee Chicken Hekka lunch truck and JB,S. the Mac salad could've used a little more mayonnaise, but very good flavor. Wife had the steak and eggs with breakfast potatoes. WOW! Steak was DELICIOUS! Yes, I stole a lot of it from her, since she's watching her figure and so am I (watching her figure too, that is! ;-/ ). The potatoes, unfortunately, were cold! Maybe leftover from the breakfast hours, but nonetheless, we were disappointed with that. Taste on the potatoes was good, however. And eggs were cooked perfectly, which was a nice surprise! Back to the steak! Pretty large piece -- looked like a top sirloin -- and cooked perfectly too! For $12.00, I didn't expect a rib eye, much less filet mignon, so this was nice. I would say the steak was about 10 to 12 ounces. Roast pork plate was 9 bucks. The wait was average...we waited about 15 minutes for our food. It came out warm, with the exception of the potatoes. Service was also very good. Our server was very friendly and not overly zealous or pushy. He came by several times to check on us and our drinks, which was appreciated and reflected in our gratuity. Looks like this place can get crowded during peak hours, which I found is usually between 11:00 and 1 p.m. on weekdays (lunch hour) and 11:00 to 2ish on weekends. As with all new places, some kinks to iron out, but surprisingly not as much as other new places we've tried. We will be back and update this post, for sure.

The food here is OKAY. The customer service was great. They opened the doors for us, greeted us, and the waitress took our drink orders quickly. We came during breakfast time and ordered the Eggs Benedict, Omelet, and 2 Orders of the 2 Eggs Your Way. The menu is on paper and there's not much choices to choose from. Food came and the appearance of it was okay actually... The 2 Eggs your way portion for the rice was really small -- Locals love their rice right? One of the 2 Eggs your Way had 3 portuguese sausages while my friends had 3 portuguese sausages and spam. (I don't even know if I was supposed to get spam as well) The restaurant does not have ketchup, mustard, or even shoyu on the table. YOU have to ask for it.. Since the restaurant was busy at the time, it took us forever to get the waiter's attention. I was left thirsty because the waitress never came back to refill our waters. I probably wouldn't come back here in a while. When I do, I'll come during dinner hours.

Heard about this the other day so decided to try. Had four different itesm fried rice, chow fun, saimin and eggs benedict. Fried rice had decent amount of meat but needed a little more flavor. Chow fun had too much ginger which over powered dish. Saimin was okay but asked for mustard but had none. Also asked for spoon but only had teaspoon. The benedict was good but a couple areas were bitter due to burnt english muffin. Overall was decent. Place is clean and will try again for lunch or dinner. Give it a try. Something new in town. Will try again and will report back

My husband and I had heard of Aria's, so for breakfast we made the drive from Kihei to Wailuku - it was well worth it! I had the plentiful and delicious crab cake benedict. The sauce was flavorful (I find many places make it too salty), and the crab cake was perfectly crispy and had great flavoring (including diced red peppers). The breakfast potatoes were homemade and cooked perfectly. I definitely want to go back for both lunch and dinner as I want to try the tempura Mahi Mahi fish tacos and the scallop linguine (which I see got a great review as well). Two of the owners are brothers (one is the chef) - both of them came over talked with us - made us feel very welcome.

Finally made it for dinner tonight with a group of friends. For appetizers we tried the crab cakes (the best I've ever had), the ceviche (generally not a fan of ceviche, but this was really good), and the tempura vegetables (I could have eaten the whole plate by myself). Our entrees consisted of the citrus mahi, blackened mahi, fish and chips, and the pork belly. Everything was cooked great, except the pork belly was overcooked to the point of being inedible. I'll give them a pass since everything else was great. Many people don't know how to cook pork belly properly. We shared the "Frenchgasm" dessert. Should have ordered my own as I could have eaten it all. Will be trying lunch and breakfast soon.

We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning-- my mom, my husband, my fourteen-month-old, and me. We were all really impressed with the menu, and decided to try it out, since we all live within walking distance of this spot (yay!) and we are desperate for this kind of place in Wailuku. They were pretty busy, with a party of at least fourteen behind us, but the service was still excellent. The coffee was fresh, and the seating was comfortable. The server (Ikaika) was extremely accommodating. We started with French toast for our little one, but we all tried it-- it was great! Super dense, with a crusty sweetness. It didn't even need the syrup they provided. My mom and I each had a Benedict-- she got the classic, I got the crab cake. Both were superb-- I haven't had such a perfectly-poached egg in a restaurant in a long time! I can't tell you how many times I've gotten them overcooked at VERY nice places. My husband had the "All About the Pork" omelet with fried rice, and said it was great. It looked good! The fried rice looked absolutely outstanding. The service was very attentive, and it was a very nice setting for a Sunday breakfast. The only thing that kept me from giving this five stars is that the potatoes (served alongside our eggs Benedict) were cold. Not being a fan of potatoes, I probably would've asked for something different anyway, but it was still disappointing. Otherwise, this place is fantastic! I can't wait to go back for lunch or dinner-- but I'm thrilled to have a place like this so close! I am praying that it does well, and I'm sure it will.

Every time I am on Maui my mom insists on Arias. I have never been disappointed. I LOVE the chow fun and the mahi is pretty delicious. I also really enjoyed the beet salad the pork belly, and the ceviche! Nice little spot in the midst of Wailuku town.

I was pleasantly surprise by the decor and ambiance in such an unassuming area like Vineyard Street. We had lunch at Aria's this past Saturday, May 30, 2015. I ordered the Turkey sandwich on focaccia and my friend had the Maui onion soup with fish tacos. We both enjoyed our meals. The service was friendly and efficient. I will definitely be back.

First time eating here and the experience was great! Had the fish and chips which came with a jalapeño tartar sauce. The fish was excellent and the chips were perfect! My wife had the fish tacos which she really enjoyed as well...she gave me a bite and I can attest to fact that they were delicious. We ended the meal with the French-gasm...highly recommended!

Worst customer service ever! Did a phone order, didn't know where the place was or how to get there and when I finally knew where. I place an order been on hold a couple of times and finally he took my order I asked him what was in the bacon burger and answered like he was annoyed and then I ordered anyways at the end of the conversation I heard him say "man that was painful" taking my order and talking to me. I have been watching and reading the reviews for this restaurant and was anxious to try them. We stopped by on Friday Town Night and asked if we could be seated. By chance, they had a table for us!! They were serving this amazing family style fish dinner that had the most beautiful presentation!! We watched others as they enjoyed this marvel. My husband and I are light eaters, so we had salads. The portions are huge, fresh and tasty!! We immensely enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere and the aloha of the owners and servers. A most enjoyable experience and are going back today for breakfast.

Not so sure about this place anymore. We tried calling one day to put in a takeout order. We were put on hold for over 15 minutes. When we tried to call back no one answered. Also, my friend who introduced us to the place said they've raised their prices about $3-4. Not cool. They were so awesome because of great value and quality food. Also, my cousin ate there last week and found a huge bug in her salad. Yikes!! Not good....maybe they're still working out the kinks but man get it together guys. I am an Eggs Benedict freak and was pleasantly surprised with Aria's Benedict. The hollandaise was creamy and buttery, I would have bathed in it if I could. My side of french toast was nice and custard-y, not bready, but custard-y. The sample I had of my boyfriends omelette was decent. The omelette was cooked well, which is a big deal. The salsa was sweet and appropriate for breakfast. A few days later I returned for lunch, holy crap how the tables have turned. We had to wait a while for our food and when it arrived it was, well, cold for one thing and bland, bland, bland. Ever heard of salt? And we're in Hawaii, learn how to cook fish! Our table had a nice view of the kitchen though, and it was thrilling to see the cooks not ever using gloves or washing their hands. Also, the restaurant manager/owner was quite clueless. I don't understand how standing on chairs and tables to adjust fans, and hanging over guests are okay. Plus he said some pretty rude things to quite a few people.
