Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Simple and an OK place in Waianae.

This is a small, apparently family run place that is set back off the main highway. Worth the time to seek it out. Don't expect ambience here. But do expect to eat good and not empty your wallet. We had fried rice which was good and has some slight hint of a spice we couldn't quite identify but found it to be enjoyable. The Almond Chicken was tasty. However, the Egg Flower Soup was to die for. Truly amazing. All in all, this was a fine dining experience. If you go away hungry from this place it's your own fault. Yum.

Monday March 2, 2015 I did a call in order to the restaurant. I ordered pork with vegetables soup, shrimp walnut, and beef broccoli. The employee recognized my voice and asked if I wanted won ton mein. I told her not tonight. She then says "your order will be ready in 10 minutes." I arrived at the restaurant and was greeted by one of the owners and the employee. The employee asked if I was off from work and I told her that I am scheduled to work the overnight shift. Few minutes more of waiting then my order was ready. I noticed that the walls inside of the restaurant has been painted. I also noticed that the women restroom has a new wash basin as well. I love the new improvements that has been done to the restaurant. Golden House is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Waianae area. I love it since it is within walking distance to my workplace.

For Waianae, this is the best place for Chinese. It's clean, spacious, and the staff are really friendly. They seem to enjoy working there which you rarely see these days. The food took a bit to come out, but I had ordered for myself and two of my family members. Since my mom and auntie like to eat funky stuff, I didn't bother trying their food. However, my food was delicious! I ordered the soft gau gee mein with vegetables, an order of shrimp canton, and two almond cookies. The amount of gau gee was plentiful. More than I'm used to getting. The vegetables were nice and crisp and also plentiful. Even the pork slices were plentiful. They don't skimp here! The sauce was seasoned perfectly. My only gripe with the dish was that my noodles were a tad on the mushy side. Despite this, it was still tasty and I ate the whole thing. The shrimp canton was deliciously crunchy and the sauce was reminiscent of the old Silver Dragon Chop Suey that used to be in Kam Shopping Center in Kalihi. Needless to say, I ate the whole order by myself. The almond cookies were okay. They were big like the ones you could get from the manapua truck back in the day, but they didn't have that sweet, crunchy bite and air pockets that I remember. I still finished off both cookies. All-in-all, I was not disappointed. Good food, decent prices, and a friendly atmosphere.

Ordered and order of walnut shrimp beef broccoli egg fu yung and sweet sour spare ribs. Total was 41 and amount of food only worth 20. Fucked up place. What happened to them. They used to be better than this portions were more filling.

Just ate here for a quick lunch, we were too lazy to cook so figured we would eat in. This place doesn't seem too busy inside whenever I've went here. We ordered the beef broccoli, shrimp fried rice and orange chicken. The broccoli had a dry sort of taste with a hint of dirt. The orange chicken sauce was very strong, felt like it was to much. We liked the portion size along with the price, all together it was $30. Overall, the service was quick and the place was clean but I don't think I would come here anytime soon.

They will do anything you ask to change the food to your taste (ie a different veggie or a little less sauce etc) The staff are very nice and food is great value for money. Basic décor but superb food !

Clean, hot and tasty food, friendly staff, better than the other place down the street. Adequate parking with overflow to the lot next door. What are you waiting for. Come eat now!

Waianae does not have the best chinese food and this is not the exception. Kind of weird the way the food was made. Very different tastes. Seems like they bought the tables and chairs from another older chinese restaurant I ate at in Chinatown. The last time I went there will be the last time I will go there.

The food was disgusting. There was a maggot in my soup, the bun was spoiled and sour, the cake noodle was burnt. Worse Chinese food experience EVER.

In this part of the island, this is the best Chinese restaurant to go to. It doesn't look like much when you walk in, but the food is great. It's been run by the same family for decades and the food is outstanding. I know that lots of people go to Cathay Inn or Waianae Chop Suey but Golden House is far superior. What they lack in ambiance, they make up for in good food. Every single time I've gone there the food has been great. Whether it's take out or eat in, I've never once had a complaint about the food. The service, well, meh. They hire these high school kids to be wait staff and they're not the most professional. I know they don't get paid very much but they shouldn't be on the cellphone as they're ringing you up. Seriously if you're in Waianae, you should eat here at least once, the food is damn tasty and pretty cheap too.

Golden House is a fairly large Chinese Restaurant in Waianae. The service was fast. I mean the food came out so fast it was like they were psychic. Unfortunately when we re-ordered the same dish it looked completely different so there's some consistency problems. The first dish was good, but the second round of the same dish wasn't so good. It's BYOB so it's a good place to go after golfing at Makaha. The decor was typical red chairs and bare wall Chinese. Service was friendly. We had about 20 people and they handled things well.
