The service was terrible. There were only 4 tables besides our table of 2. Let's start off with we never got our shrimp rolls for the appetizer. It took a very long time for our food to come out and every time food came out, they asked several tables if it was theirs. With only 5 tables, two other tables had food sent back because one was the wrong size pha (regular instead of XL) and order was fried rice but white rice came out instead. My friend did never got a refill on his iced tea and the tapioca in my bubble smoothie was still frozen, literally. The pho itself was good. Then it took 15-20min for us to get our check.

A second pho establishment has opened in Lihue. Why? Because Kauai needs more options, that's why. Comfortable, casual, and perfect for tasting authentic cuisine of Viet Nam. Pho Lihue is clean--the pride and joy of first-time restaurant owners. Resplendent, fragrant with its food, and not noisy, the eatery is a wonderful answer to the question, "where can we eat after 9 PM on Kauai?"

Stopped in here for lunch on a Sunday and we were the only customers. Choices are limited in Lihue on Sundays and I was craving a Thai iced tea so we figured we'd give it a shot. Since new management took over and they reopened May 11th, the prices increased and the portions decreased. On the bright side, our server was really sweet even though she put my fiance's order in wrong, the ambiance is nicer than it seems from the outside, my shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the A/C was on nice and high. So I'm giving it two stars. Otherwise, the Thai iced tea was way too sweet and by the time my fiance's beef and rice entree came out my meal was cold. Usually we can count on Vietnamese being reasonably priced with excellent flavor, fast service and good portion sizes but Pho Lihue only delivered on two of the four. Overall, disappointed with the new management because we had great pho here in the past.

We just ate there and it all started off well until the place filled with smoke. They said they had a party going on in the back and it seemed like they didn't care that it was very smokey in the dining room. We both lost our appetite after coughing and choking from the smoke and asked for a to-go box. We will not return. Note to the owners: Fix your ventilation system. I'm sure this is a health code violation.

We walked up and smell the food outside with made me hungry even more than I was! The AC feels amazing with the Hawaiian humidity. Great service! Got our food very fast! Big portions so come hungry. I had the chicken vermicelli with an eggroll. It had a hint of sweetness to it but it was a very nice touch. The best part was the chicken which they give you a good amount of but once you mix up your bowl it disappears under everything else so you need to find it (: the noodles were perfect! Great balance of flavors in the bowl! The chicken was also very easy to chew (:

I am rating this place 4 stars for the friendly service and cleanliness. My food was OK. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken. The portion size was very reasonable and promising, however the flavor was a little bland. If you have a craving for Vietnamese food, definitely give this place a visit!

We landed on the island looking for vietnamese soup and rice. The 12 of us were skeptical but found the place great. We agree this restaurant is exceptionally clean, pho has the true vietnamese taste. Rice is fresh cooked not warmed up. Barbecue pork is lean and tender. The food pleases my wife and six other ladies. Altogether they have more than 150 years of cooking. Plus more than 60 international cruises vacation. Highly recommended.

Stoked that this place serves food till 10. Its big, cool, and clean on the inside (lets hope they can keep it clean). I love me a restaurant with the AC pumping. Smells like pho when u walk in, yum! You'll bring the smell home with you so dont shower before you eat here ;) the broth is legit, lighter in color and less salty than kauai pho, def has the right balance of flavors. I love that the soup is boiling hott when its served (the way it should be). Broth is similar to kapaa pho. However, kapaa pho does gives more noodles. (Not a pho expert, but i had my share of pho in vegas, san fran, honolulu) egg rolls are legit here too! If this place had the lemongrass chilli sauce I would have given it 5 stars. Please try their taro tapioca for dessert, but dont try it if there's only one left...in that case, please leave it there for me Next time I eat here Im going to try the bun (dry vermicelli noodles with veggies and meat).

Outstanding service and good. Kinda off the beaten path but worth the search to find. Large portions and very good flavor. The server was accommodating with questions regarding menu and helpful making a delicious selection of crispy noodles.

I'm from the San Jose & Bay Area so I'm so glad to have Vietnamese food here on Kauai that is authentic. I ordered the combination Pho, iced coffee, & had a dessert to go for later! The restaurant is clean, open, & have a friendly staff. You've gotta try it!

Since now Kauai has two Pho. I tried my usual an compared it to Pho Kauai. I enjoy Pho Kauai vegetarian with pork broth. Here they didn't have enough vegetables as this dish is, tooooo much noodles, broth was blend. I give them a 5 star for cleanest. Would I eat the soup again no, I would try something else.

Great food with fast and friendly service! A clean facility that's spacious and perfect for gathering friends to chat over a meal in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The Vietnamese iced coffee is superb and bubble teas or home made tapioca pudding are a fun and delicious dessert.

This use to be a great place to eat. Fiancé and I came here all the time, almost everyday. New owners don't do it justice. Broth is too sweet, prices were raised, and the menu has less choices now.

When I first walked in I was surprised how clean it was. I ordered letter M; brisket, meatballs and steak. It was lacking flavor. The noodles tasted a little sweet to me, very different. The Thai iced tea was good though. I just loved how clean and neat the place was.
