Very chill spot. Great atmosphere and a free hula show. Do yourself a favor though ask for Dale, he's the coolest old dude that has worked there for almost 40 years and just a riot to talk to. He also makes a great drink. The other bartenders are hit or miss. Don't waste your money on weak drinks.

This is a pretty cool tiki bar to chill by. They have free hula shows at night and not a huge crowd. The food isn't anything to rave about but for sitting at the bar it isn't bad. Depending on who is working you should get cocktails. Dale is awesome and very friendly, and actually uses liquor in his drinks while Chantelle was working I ordered a vodka cranberry and was confused when it was bright red and couldn't taste the least amount of vodka in it, ended up having to pay another $5 to actually add a little bit of alcohol to it. If dale is working I would definitely recommend hanging out he's very friendly and has been there forever! Otherwise your better off spending your money where you actually get more than juice.

Great burgers, reasonably priced. Bartender pours a nice stiff Bacardi and Coke, priced way lower than a typical drink of this type on the mainland. We didn't have the specialty cocktails, and although they were priced higher still appeared to be a great value if you enjoy those drinks. Minus one star for the cocktail waitress. Friendly, but she seemed to be perpetually wandering around with a big goofy smile trying to locate tables to deliver drinks. Save yourself the aggravation of having to track her down for your drinks and just get them yourself barside to bring back to your table.

Don't do it - even if you're partaking of the free nightly live music. This joint serves up cafeteria-quality edibles which will make you regret handing your money over to the cashier. Their hotel-priced cheeseburger must've been a frozen patty that got slapped on the grill and heated til it was overdone then slid between two room temp buns. To top it off, the cheese wasn't even melted on the burger! Just keep walking along the shoreline for about 7 minutes where you will reach other tastier options near Whaler Village.

Best bar in west Maui, hands down! Come see Dale for a strong Mai tai or piña colada, he won't disappoint!

Tiki Grill Expectations...that's the key to "dining" at a hotel bar. If you expected a five star, Wolfgang Puk experience, you need to go to more bars. We were pleasantly surprised at how great the bar food was, from the onion rings to the hot dog. Let me just focus on the hot dog for a second, it wasn't some puny Oscar Meyer weiner, it was a huge, beef frank in all its juicy glory. They have crinkle cut fries, enough said. Tiki Bar Dale and all the bartenders are locals and made you feel at home. The drinks are gaudy, fruity and delicious, everything you expect from a bar named "Tiki" in the middle of Touristville. If you're there til last call, like we were most nights, that means the bartender has convinced you to double fist plastic cups full of vacation elixir back to your room. Wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

I am torn writing this review, because this is for both the bar and the grill. The bar warrants 5 stars because they have very fairly priced and delicious drinks, large sizes, with a LOT of alcohol. The grill however, is severely lacking. The ahi burger was obviously made using a frozen patty, the pizza (w/ the shrimp) had too much going on in addition to the pasty texture of the shrimp. The dessert was alright though, the brownie with the ice cream, mac nuts, and roasted bananas. I bumped up from 2.5 stars to 3 stars because they have live music/hula nightly. Come for the drinks, SKIP AND AVOID the food.

This review is for the grill only...already reviewed the bar. So, I ordered the French dip sandwich and if this review was based on that only, they would be getting one star. First of all, there was no dip...really? It was basically roast beef and melted cheese served on a roll. No flavor whatsoever. Now, my expectations were not high to begin with. This is basically not much more than a snack bar. Luckily, my daughter ordered a pepperoni pizza and my hubby ordered the tuna sandwich. The pizza wasn't the best, but it was decent...worthy of three stars. Then, the tuna sandwich. My hubby would have actually given that sandwich five stars. It was that good! So, overall, three stars isn't too bad if you're looking for a quick snack. Just stay away from the French dip and you'll be fine!

Basically it's cheap bar food spruced up. Great place to grab a snack to hold you over until your real dinner plans. A bit pricey for some of the food items. This should be your last option as a place to get a meal. The bar is pretty cool. The drinks are fairly good and priced reasonably.

If you are looking for a fast service, good value comforting food, this is the perfect place. They have vegetarian options too. We were looking for a place to have dinner far away from the tourist crowd. It felt like a fast food kind of food, unless it was much better. The Luau show (free) was fun and pleasant to watch, it felt like local families were involved and were actually present to watch them on the scene, we enjoyed it a lot. Service was helpful and quick, the waitress did a perfect job of checking on us but not harassing us like in some places. It was one of our best nights even though it was a last minute dinner.

These are two separate entity's. If you want to review the bar, look for the "The Tiki Bar". If you want to review the grill, look for "The Tiki Grill". 5 Stars for the bar..... 3 stars for the grill.

In additional to being located in a wonderful place by the black rock, this place provide exceptional food and services. Gotta try the pineapple teriyaki burger if you're here. A full bar is ready fur any drink you want

This is a review for the grill only. Had Pizza and fried calamari... Pizza consisted only of cheese and was totally bland, even costco does better than that. Calamari where over-fried, maybe to cover the bad frozen taste. Cannot recommend the food there, do yourself a favor and go get your food elsewhere.

The drinks are what makes this place special, as their food is decent but not anything to write home about. I liked the Mai Tai's and the Tropical Itch cocktails are sweet and with just the right amount of alcohol. Belly up to this place but leave when the sun goes down.
