Small menu indeed, but what they do they do well. We had the fried mahi mahi, fresh salad with fruit & teriyaki chicken. All were very good! The view is great, the drinks were good. For breakfast - the buffet is $23 and looks great but we ordered from the menu and it was excellent! Eggs Benedict and French toast with macadamia butter & coconut syrup - yum!

My husband and I had early dinner here last Saturday. Their dinner menu is limited but they let us order from their lunch menu. We had the bacon avocado burger and the turkey club sandwich. Both were very good and not as expensive as other places in Maui. Service was also good and our waitress was attentive. They have someone playing the acoustic guitar which was very enjoyable and relaxing. The view is amazing. As other reviews have mentioned, the water has a distinct taste, almost chlorine-like. I would order an actual drink (soda, tea, alcoholic beverage) as my recommendation. My husband ordered a latte and it was more like regular coffee in a small coffee cup, not worth the $5.

I had the breakfast buffet here and it was amazing. I'm mad I didn't eat here the first few night I stayed at the hotel. Great!!great!!great!!

Enjoyed lunch here on their patio. What I liked about this place was the view and that everything was fresh down to the side salad with my mahi mahi sandwich. My wife had a shrimp salad that also looked great. The kids approved of their chicken nuggets and even asked for more which never happens.

I frequent this restaurant for lunch and dinner (and the occasional happy hour). The food is always consistently good and the menu is somewhat unique without being too large. Service can be hit or miss and it doesn't seem to be the actual people as much as it is the scheduling or seating. Some servers can get over worked / over seated -- mostly during lunch which can lead to a slower experience than you may want. But it's not all the time this happens. The Managers there are good - they jump in and get the job done when they see the servers getting behind. I think the Manager "Ford" probably works harder to pick up slack than most people I see in any restaurant! All in all, the food is good and consistent. The service is always friendly and the location / view is perfect. If you're staying in the near by hotels / resorts - it's definitely worth going to. Not a lot of people know about it that aren't staying at the resort!

HUSBAND GOT FOOD POISONING!!!!!!! our first night here in Maui we took a walk and came across this place so decided since we could see the sunset we would eat here. the mahi mahi was very dry the fries were the worst. my husband got clams and pasta and ended up with food poisoning! and for three days of our vacation was in bed! The manager refuses to return my phone calls after I have left multiple messages. terrible experience!

We stayed at the Royal Lahaina and ate here a few times while we were here. The Mahi Mahi was great and my husband was addicted to their curry bowl. I think he had it 3 times! We had breakfast here once and it was good as well. Our server the first night was awesome, the other times they were ok. The music and atmosphere was always relaxing and upbeat. The view-amazing!!!

When I imagined myself on Maui all I could think of was myself sipping on an adult beverage served in a fresh pineapple but apparently that's not really a thing... So after a lot of Google searches my boyfriend finally found this place and I was ecstatic! We came for lunch. The food was ok and nothing I feel worth raging about, but the view of the ocean was beautiful and I got my pina colada in a pineapple so overall I was very happy.

I enjoyed this place. They have a limited menu but its simple and the food is great. We came here a few times and it was consistent. Their ceviche is okay but the breakfast menu items and drinks are good. I recomend the french toast with sweet Hawaiian bread and coconut syrup. Its to die for (;

While swimming we stopped for a quick snack prior to getting ready for dinner. The server was great, but the food was basic. I would not recommend the hummus unless you like a gritty texture to your hummus. Personally I like mine creamy and smooth. The garlic fries were fresh and tasty and the portion was big.

Its sort of pricey but still less expensive than top tier restaurants. I really liked their salt and pepper. The salt is the biggest grain salt I've ever put on my poached eggs. It adds a little bit of crunchiness because of not fully dissolving. The black pepper is large chunks of black, tan, and red. Large grain salt and pepper is really great on poached eggs, my horizons are expanded. Other than that I was not very impressed. The rest of the food and service was decent. View of ocean and two large mountain-islands off in the distance is incredible. The only real negative is the water tastes like pool water, I genuinely wondered if they scooped it out of the pool.

Don't know why all the negative reviews. Had a great waiter, ordered the beef and pork sliders. Both were pretty good. Fries were also good. Nice quick lunch here in between going to the beach and hanging out at the pool. Wanted to try dinner but didn't have time.

Terrible service!! The waiters look to be in pain to serve you and faking a smile.. Very disappointing. You are here to enjoy yourself and they make it a terrible experience...

Amazing dinner for our first night in maui. (3/30/15). Portion size is generous and the views are stunning. We were seated in the outside patio with the warmth of the setting sun smack in out face, in this case a very welcome warmth. Would definitely recommend.

we tried lots of places in Maui and this by far was our least favorite. even though we paid the most on the meal here in comparison to lots of other local food joints and food trucks, the food was just not good. we ordered the chicken and veggie teriyaki and a veggie salad. Salad is the reason for 2 stars or else it would have been just 1 star. because we were staying in the same hotel, we decided to give it another shot so we went there was a sunrise special breakfast ($6.99 for 2eggs and fries). it was ok not bad, but then again we had better in Maui. If you like to try local and good food, give this place a skip!

We had a wonderful dinner which included some evening entertainment that we hadn't expected. Guitar player was very good as well as the hula dancer that danced every other song. Right at sunset the hula dancers (make and female) came out and performed. Very serene and peaceful entertainment. Wonderful view from the patio area. I had the sushi sampler which was excellent, very fresh ahi. The gazpacho soup was refreshing. Nice place for dinner and a little more!

My new husband and I ventured to the Royal Ocean Terrace for dinner and were not impressed. The food was standard and lacked flavor, the wings said they came with 3 special sauces which were blue cheese, ranch and Franks Red Hot sauce, however, the view was beautiful and the bartenders friendly. They could have a nice thing going if they stepped up their food.
