Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

My local friends from Waimanalo, love this place. We go here every time we come to Hawai'i. Lots of food for a good price. It's not the best Chinese food, but it's tasty. This is the place where I tried Char siu pork for the first time, now I am addicted.

I love eating at this spot every time I'm in the area. My fav Chinese restaurant in Hawaii. Their hazelnut shrimp and chow mein hits the spot. They recently renovated the place and it looks a lot better than before and much cleaner.

Is this the old Ching Lee restaurant?

friendly staff and family atmosphere--something lacking in the more yuppized versions of fooderies in the 'new' Kailua. I miss these old family places! Good saimin! aloha

This Chinese restaurant is better then the competition around the corner, but that isn't saying much. I guess to be somewhat positive their soup is pretty good, but other than that I am hard pressed to find something decent. Also, the quality of their food is beyond poor coupled with sub par cleaning standards makes this Chinese restaurant not desirable. yuk

The chow mein was tasteless, the beef hot plate was good, and the pork fried rice was bland. We were desperate for food and had to settle. The prices were average and what you'd expect.

I ordered take out form this place, and was quite disappointed by the beef fried rice I received. It was basically white rice with little bits of beef, lettuce, and some pieces of a fried egg. Luckily I had also ordered some Kung Pao Chicken to go with it, and I was able to spice it up a bit. Actually the chicken was quite good. The place was a bit dirtier than I prefer to see, but looking at some of the places I have reviewed and given 4 and 5 stars to, I really can't hold that against them. The address here on Yelp is wrong, it is on the even numbered side of the street, but I couldn't find an address anywhere on the building to correct it.
