Terrible, ordered meal, not even a second later as I roll over to the window I ask to change order of hard taco to soft. I get declined, I gave my request for fire, hot sauce. Got nothing. Food was dry and stale and hard. It's not like the location was busy. Looked slow. Never eating here again. Doesn't even deserve a one star.

I mean, it's a Taco Bell... But I went here last week and received exceptional service. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and went out of her way to help us.

ordered the cantina bowl ( 6.69 $ ) citrus-herb marinated chicken, black beans, guacamole , roasted corn & pepper salsa, a creamy cilantro dressing, and pico de gallo, on a bed of cilantro rice. taste is pretty good , but the portion is kind of small for the price.

Thé ONLY fast-food i ever consume is Taco Bell. There's really no way to justify it other than, at least there's vegetarian options. Real ones. Sadly, as with any fast food location, I'm wary of the quality. This is my last resort when I have nothing planned, feel lazy, and just want to relax. Treat myself like a fatty moments.

Ohhh My goodnesssss............. The place today 4/30 was a pig sty- I get it - it was crowded- tons of coupons laying on the floor, long lines and people working behind the counters like fast food workers- Garbage on the tables. Wet like tire grease stains on the floor. And just Dirty in the sitting areas. I have never seen this place this dirty- even when it was an outside open air walk up window and seating.

This Taco Bell is interesting because half of it is Taco Bell, while the other half is Pizza Hut. Years ago, this place was actually just a Pizza Hut, but since renovations have been done it has turned into a hybrid restaurant. I hardly ever dine in here, but on occasion I do make it through the drive thru. I found the drive thru rather confusing the first time I went through because I could not for the life of me find the order speaker. I seesawed my car back and forth, menu board to menu board, and finally went around the building. To my surprise, the order box was located on the farthest side of the building near the street. I like the food here and I do not know why people say the food here gives them the runs. I have never experienced that. Service has always been professional and fast. It's wonderful how quickly they can prepare the food here. If you do dine in, parking is usually always plentiful.

I'm very impressed with the staff at this taco bell. I was craving some junk food, and last night made my way to taco bell to satisfy my craving. I used the drive through, which was empty (thank god, my stomach was crying for food now!) The guy taking my order was accurate, friendly, and a bit funny. Liking inside everyone was smiling and greeted me while almost instantly filling my order. Well done guys! Next time I'm craving the bell I'll be back at this location.

This place gets my order wrong every single time I go there. Idk why they can't get anything right.. Is it really that hard to read an order and put everything in a bag??

Taco Bell is a great place to get food. They're prices are inexpensive and they are pretty quick. Sometimes, I like to order from Pizza Hut, which you cannot order from in the drive through line. A quick tip though, is if you and someone else are going to eat there, but one of you wants Pizza Hut food instead, be sure to order from Pizza Hut first. They usually take a long time, between 10-15 minutes to cook the pizzas. And Taco Bell is pretty quick with their orders. Whenever my other half wants Taco Bell and I want something from Pizza Hut, we always order from Pizza Hut first. If we order at the same time, my food comes out way after he has already eaten his food. When you eat here later in the night, the dinning area is open until 11pm on the weekends. Be careful and be mindful, because the last few times we have eaten here late, there were some pretty interesting characters that still in. Tonight, there were some druggies, drunks and a few crazies. Not to make fun of other people, but why come to a walk in dinner area if you are plastered, high or not all there!!! It just makes if for an awkward time for everyone else who is eating there...

Customer service here is lacking. Yes, I get it, it's not a 4 star restaurant, but it's still a service business. We waited in line next to an older couple that was still deciding on their order. When we looked at the cashier, he gave us a nod like he was waiting for us to order. When I went up, he then told me that it wasn't my turn. O-kaaay. So after a few minutes, the older couple orders. I don't move until the cashier actually tells me it's my turn. I go up to order the new mocha shake & pay. He leaves, comes back after a few seconds, & tells me that it's not ready? Wait, what? It's on the menu. Nope not ready for ordering. I asked for a refund & he tells me, "but I have to get a manager." Well, go get one because I'm not giving you my money for nothing. Next time, dive thru.

Even for a Taco Bell nothing special about this location. Food not as good as the one in Hawaii Kai or Makiki but better than others such as the Kalihi one or the one in the PX near Pearl Harbor. My main gripe is often hit this up after leaving Safeway and cutting across the road to make the entrance from there a huge pain.

Out of all locations, this by far is the best in service! Food is consistent until today. I tried the breakfast menu and it's very good, I recommend the breakfast crunch wraps they're mighty good. Today I went back and quite disappointed the burritos were not grilled today :( so they were soft and mushy wet and then it was wrapped w tomatoes loose and so that wetness created a hole in the wrapper not very pleased with today's experience. The crunch wraps were still bomb but no grilled burritos just killed it for me. The manager a young Filipino male is always very nice and pleasant and nice to see he works as hard as the crew does. Now I'm gonna skip the bell for breakfast and probably head back to 7 eleven for their fried rice bento. Dear Taco Bell, please grill all burritos !!!!!!

We love to cross the border. Plus being cohabitated with Pizza Hut makes it for a huge selection. The restrooms are always very very clean and well-kept and stocked and the staff are extremely friendly. The food is consistently delicious and it's a great place to have meetings since there's always comfortable seating available. The open soda machine makes drinking very convenient and your ability to change and mix your drinks is amazing. They always seem to have great specials and deals as well to make it affordable and delicious. Being weight conscious and health-conscious is easy there too since they have calorie counts on everything, description an ingredients list on everything and most importantly their alfresco menu is exemplary, delicious and very very low-calorie.

I ordered a taco salad for myself and a Mexican pizza for my wife. First thing she noticed when opening her box at home was a thick black hair about an inch long sitting on her pizza. Kinda gross but she thought maybe a hair from my head somehow got on her pizza and proceeded to eat her lunch. As she ate, she noticed another thick curly hair, about a cm long on a tomato. Yuck! Now a little paranoid, she looks even closer and finds a third hair also about a cm long hiding in her cheese. That's not one, or two, but THREE visible hairs on her Mexican pizza! Was an employee scratching their head directly over the food? I mean, it's only a $4 meal so I wasn't about to hop in my car and drive all the way over to the restaurant to complain but I was still pretty upset. I called the restaurant but no one answered the phone. I then called the main customer comment line and someone said they would have the manager of that location call me but they never did. I guess these things are not that big a deal to this company. If you read this and still plan to eat at the Beretania Taco Bell across the street from the new Safeway, beware of the secret seasonings sprinkled on your food. UPDATE: Just before posting this, the main local office responded to my call. It was over a month later but they called nonetheless. The person on the other end sounded genuinely apologetic and said they would contact the restaurant and address the issue and mailed me a couple of coupons. That's nice but I wont be going back to that location.

They did an incredible job in renovating this former pizza hut location. Separated an over-sized pizza hut, and added a modern Taco Bell with an ample seating area for both restaurants. The rest rooms are shared by both restaurants, but it is brand new and exceptionally clean. You will need one of those keys attached to the stick, from either the Taco Bell or Pizza Hut counter. They added a drive through and a well though through parking lot

Why do I keep coming back to this one. My food is always sloppy and get my orders wrong. This past Friday I ordered the new steak cantina quesadilla but got chicken instead. I also ordered two cheesy gorditas but got one. Love the fast food but not at this particular joint.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. There is a girl. I don't know her name; but EVERY TIME we go to this Taco Bell, she ends up helping us. Go in? Her. Drive thru? Her. Now, I'm patient, I'm a really understanding person. We're all human; we make mistakes, that's life! But that girl? I can NOT HANDLE HER ANY MORE. Here are THREE, not one, not two, THREE separate occasions that this girl has ruined my experience at this store. The first time we encountered this girl we ask for a 12 pack of Cinna-Bons. Let me explain: Taco Bell has a 4 pack and a 12 pack. It's on the menu plain as day, right there under the dessert area. HELL, it has its own LARGE PRINT AD space on the dessert area. I order this item and there is a huge pause, a voice comes back over the intercom saying, "You mean the 4 pack?" I politely correct her, maybe she heard me incorrectly? "No Ma'am, the 12 pack please." Another long pause, "You want twelve 4 Packs???" I look at my friend and again repeat, "No. I want the 12 Pack please." She then replies, "We don't have a 12 Pack." "Ma'am," I state, "I'm looking at the menu and it clearly states you do..?" I am very confused at this point. So she reads off our order WITHOUT the dessert and we pull forward in line. While we wait, a very long time, she keeps looking back at us and making faces while talking to customers ahead of us. She looks as if she's glaring? When we get to the front she says, "So you were joking about getting the twelve separate 4 packs right?" I get frustrated, "No. It's a 12 pack, it comes with 12 pieces." She then walks away. Then she comes back and says right to me, "No. We don't have that." So I get so annoyed I tell her never mind I don't want it, and then she says, "Do you still want your order?" Which of course I want my order! After we leave I am less than pleased. But I tell myself, hey self; maybe she's having a bad day. Second time it happened we had time to cool off, think to ourselves it must have been a fluke. This type of thing doesn't always happen. Instead of going through the Drive thru we decide it may be better to go in face to face. As I am contemplating my order, my roommate is placing her order. I hear something very strange as I turn to listen in to what has to be the most ridiculous thing I've heard since the Cinna-bon incident. "I'm sorry, what do you mean I can't order a cheese Quesada?" Says my roommate baffled. The girl at the cash register reiterates herself with a confused air about her, as if she doesn't know why she is asking again. My roommate is very polite and she again states, "I generally order this, why can't I get a cheese Quesada? If you have to, you can ring me up for a chicken one and just leave the chicken out? I don't mind paying." The girl gets a really pinched look on her face and says, "No. We don't do that." My friend is non-confrontational so she doesn't push it, but she is obviously upset. After she orders something else I step up and order a grilled stuffed burrito and two crunchy tacos. She then, RIGHT AFTER I told her what I wanted plain as day, repeats back something completely different. I correct her, in which she makes that face again and says, "Oh." But doesn't move to change it? I stand there for a moment before looking up at the board and repeating myself. I wait, NOT JOKING, twenty minutes. People have come and gone and I'm still waiting. So I walk up and ask about my order, she looks right at me and says "You already picked up your order." Politely as I can I say, "No I have not." She looks around and goes back and double checks, I hear her make a weird noise and she comes back with cold food. I look down at it, clearly annoyed, and leave with my cold food. Because whatever, I'm so done at that point. The very last time, I will ever go to this Taco Bell, we went to the Drive Thru again. Everything was going fine but THEN we get to the window and I'm checking the food and it's wrong. My roommate smiles and lets the girl at the window know this isn't what she ordered. Before the girl at the window can answer, we hear HER. SHE APPEARS OUT OF NO WHERE TO SAY, "NO. No that IS what they ordered!" I clear my throat and say as nicely as I can muster, "No. We didn't order the Nachos, we ordered a Kailua Pork -something-" Then we see her check the order. The words, "NOT AGAIN, FU**." Come flying out of her mouth before she storms off. We wait for the food to come back since she took EVERYTHING and when it does I just tell my roommate to drive. It isn't till I get home and look at the food that I really lose it. My burrito looks like someone grabbed it right in the middle... and squeezed. I'm talking HAND PRINT and all. Not only that but it tastes terrible for some reason which freaks me out and I decide not to further eat it. God knows what she did to it. Just, don't go there.

Everytime I go to pretty much any TB, they short me on taco sauce packets. This one is no execption. Same problem. At least the huffy employee gave me a handful more when I complained. I ask for 10 and they give me 3. Now .. . . either they can't count or they feel like it gets taken out of their pay. What's with the sauce rationing that goes on at these establishments? Ridiculous! I need more than 1 packet of sauce per taco please. I like 3 for each, so I ask for 10, figuring its easier for them to count out 10. Ok, rant over. Other than that, TB is great. Food is good (usually) and fills you up.

Really ? It's Taco Bell. It's fast food Mexican ( sort of ). The service was good and relatively quick. The location leaves a lot to be desired. Hard to get into and harder to get out of. If you have a low car like me, be mindful the exit is treacherous on the undercarriage. The remodel of the location was great and it needed it. Jan's the big Taco Bell fan, so we will continue to go back. I can take it or leave it.

Taco bell now has...drum roll please...plastic knives! After years upon years using the so called Spork to eat the now defunct Enchirito, now you can eat the Smothered Burrito with out breaking two or three Sporks. I just might add the Smothered Burrito I downed today was one of the best fake Mexican dishes I've had all week.

The Beretania branch is not up to clean standards. When I got my tacos, the shells were stale :( Most recently, my bf got some tacos from here and we ended up with food poisoning. I love Taco Bell, but we will never be getting anymore from this branch.

My husband gets salty every time I refer to Taco Bell as "Taco Hell." His first job was at Taco Bell even if he only worked there for a day and quit haha but he still loves Taco Bell more than anyone I know. Ever since the Taco Bell reopened as a true restaurant, my husband was itching to come here. We went one Sunday with my baby in tow. It was actually really clean and it wasn't filled with a bunch of stoners or really drunk people! SHOCKER!!! The service is a bit slow but that's because they don't really pay attention to you when they help you. They aren't generous with their sauce packets and napkins. How am I supposed to drench my taco in delicious mild sauce if you only give me one packet? SERIOUSLY. I love my mild sauce. My husband loves fire sauce and we both drench all our taco bell stuff with their sauces even if we don't agree which one is the best. It's nice that it's no longer a Pizza Hut buffet and we can eat Taco Bell in an actual restaurant now. They still share the space but it's very clear where to order for which one. We go at least once a month to Taco Bell and it's convenient that there's one close to home :).

Much better, now that this place has been remodeled. Really, they remodeled the Taco Bell side, if you look the pizza hut kitchen wasn't touched in the remodel. They added the dining area between the two establishments and freshened up the place. The taco bell/pizza hut is very clean, now. They've added a self serve soda fountain (with Dr. pepper)...a must for any fast food joint. As for the food. It's Taco Bell. The surprise I discovered this time was the salsa verde sauce. It was a welcomed find. They were out of their "hot" sauce, and the cashier said they had mild, fire and salsa verde. I never heard of that before and thought I'd mix the verde and the fire to make the "hot". Not too bad for fast food salsa verde in a single serving packet. Of course they started offering salsa verde (and a fire roasted salsa) in october 2010, but this was the first I'd heard of it. Otherwise, it's taco bell food. About as mexican as you can get for Hawaii fast food.

Need a cure for that nasty pounding migraine? The #8 combo at Taco Bell would surely do the trick! 3 tacos with a medium drink all for about $5. Not only is it a miracle cure for migraines but it's cheap, delicious, and can satisfy those pesky hunger pangs ANY day. Yes, it's not "REAL" Mexican food. Yes, it's not gourmet food. Yes, it's fast food... but HELL, it's pretty darn tasty!!! This chica is definitely headin to the Border!

Taco Bell has to the worst place on the planet! Well nearly the worst place on the planet. However, I am writing this review just to pass on that Taco Bell at 1 AM is still miles better than Sushi Sasabune (Sushi Nazi) on King Street. At least at Taco Bell you can get a decent tasting taco - even though you will know you be sick as a dog shortly afterwards, whereas Sushi Sasabune you will leave sick that you wasted even five minutes of your life by sitting at the sushi bar with those idiots. If you need any more proof see my review of Sushi Sasabune.

Sadly, my palate isn't experienced when it comes to, "good" Mexican food. But I do know when I ask for something and am willing to pay extra for it and I specifically tell the counter staff that this is how I want my food, then I should be able to get it, no? So it's not Burger King but I should be able to have it my way, particularly since there is only one, one I say, one, quiet man eating in the whole place and there are no customers in front of me and none behind. I said, "Please charge me extra and I don't care how much it costs, to put lotta, lotta, lotta, onions in my bean burrito. That's it, beans, onions and a soft burrito. No cheese, no tomatoes, no whatever else they usually put in it. Nada. Got to the car with my fat burrito, kinda happy that she didn't charge me a penny more for my made to order lunch! Suspicious however, I unrolled my special order onion burrito and lo and behold, beans and a few small pieces (mebe 2 tsp. of onions.) I started to bitch an moan. My chunky sister next to me (who lived in Oaxaca, Mexico for a time and who is altogether unimpressed by Taco Bell anyway) turned and said, "Well maybe that is a serving, a normal serving but at least you can see the onions." (Translation: Quitcher bitching.) I bellowed, "Who the hell are they saving the onions for? There was nobody in the place! They could have charged me a dollar and I would have paid for it!!" I was mad. Resentfully, I gnawed down the thick as a brick dough until it was just an unpleasant memory and a loud burp. No wonder Taco Bell has to join hands with Pizza Hut. Perhaps they one day may have to walk 3 steps to the Pizza Hut side of the counter and ask to borrow an onion.

Consistent, low cost food and a very good alternative to burger fast food places. I usually order from the value menu. There are lots to choose from and will fill you up well at a low cost. The only thing I don't like is they serve Pepsi products here. Bleh.

Went to the drive thru after 10 minutes of waiting, no one answered the drive thru speaker. We honked our horn twice and said hello into the speaker to no avail. By now there were 3 cars backing up in the drivethru. I decided to call on my cell phone to let them know. I advised the woman who answered, she said it's because our car didn't run over the sensor correctly. I then asked her if we should drive up to the window or if someone can take our order now? A woman's voice came on the speaker and we proceeded with our order. When we arrived the woman did not greet us, apologize nor thank us after shoving our bag thru our car window. I am a loyal customer and have never received such rude, poor customer service like this before. In addition, this isn't the first time the drive thru sensor at this location hasn't responded with 3 different cars we drove. May I suggest fixing the sensor or paying more attention and physically looking thru the window!

I was really disappointed. I went thru the drive up. The food was fast and ready. However, I didn't get any eating tools, no napkins, and the taco shells were SALTY. The drive upindow had an employee that was lacking sleep or personality. Ruins your appetite. Trying tp exit the driveway on Beretania was HELL. You Best have your Rosary in hand. Driveway exit is very close to the traffic signal light. Be with youcaur driving. Be cautious when exitng there. Good luck to those that choose to eat at Taco Bell. Who know's, you may have a better experience

Just add Tapatio sauce. About as good as any "Mexican" food on Oahu (sadly).

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
