Horri-horri-HORRIBLE! Since I've been doing training in Waikiki for the past 2 weeks, finding places in the area to eat for lunch have been difficult. My co-worker wanted to eat at IHOP, so I was a trooper and obliged. BAD IDEA! Service and food were awful...we waited a long, long time for our food....at least 20 - 25 minutes with only an hour for lunch. They weren't busy at all. Not good. I ordered something simple ~ BLT sandwich. I asked for toasted sourdough bread, but got white. My co-workers ordered pancakes, pot roast, country fried steak, spinach omelette. They all seemed to be ok and enjoyed their food, except for me. The french fries was the best thing on my plate. To me, I think messing up on a BLT sandwich should never happen...but...for me, it did. Bread was stale, bacon greasy, tomatoes still had the core on, lettuce was the ugly white pieces I hate. Maybe 1 leafy green piece of lettuce. NEVER AGAIN! Enter at your own risk....especially if time is a factor. Don't do it! With my picky palate, I should've known better...

Food good, service poor with an attitude. It wouldn't hurt to clean up the joint a bit, too. Could of been a four star.

This place should be shut down immediately...Where should I begin. I should have followed my instinct and noticed the place was empty during breakfast. After we were seated the waitress ignored us for a good 10 minutes. When I asked who was working our section then finally she came over, but not before walking past us about 5 times. We then ordered the two x two x two , the eggs tasted strange and this meal was grossly OVERPRICED!!!!' Two adults and two kids...wait for it...wait for it...$71.45 what a ripoff!!!! To add a little something to our experience. As we were sitting at our table about pay the grossly inflated bill a stench of backed up SEWER came from the kitchen!!!! I informed the cashier and she replied " I hope it doesn't come out here". Wow talk about your well trained employee. Do yourself a favor. Don't eat here if you want to live a healthy life.

We had excellent service! We had no problems with with any so called bad attitudes and one gal, Lita, went above her duties by helping us with some of the Islands attractions and found us some books. She remembered us the next day too and greeted us with a huge smile. The food was perfect and cooked just like our own IHOP back home.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday. Service was super slow...food was so-so, not bad, but not great either. Save your time and money and go to McDonalds down the street.

If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. I normally do not complain about service, but this placed needs a makeover of some of its staff. My friend and I went to Ihop mid morning and we waited for 20 minutes for service after being seated in our booth (the wait for seating was 10min). We had to flag a girl down to take our order, but she informed us that she was not our server ... and proceeded to look around the place for our server, who could not be found. She apologized and came back to take our order, since she could tell we were getting frustrated. There was a manager on the floor who was going around to tables... but it seemed like he was overwhelmed as well. A Japanese family sat down across from us and also had to wait about 10 minutes until they flagged down the manager and made him take their order. I understand a little japanese, and I could tell they were saying o-so-i-ne, which means SLOW! I nodded my head in agreement. Finally when we wanted to go, my friend wanted a take out box, but could not find our waitress. She instead asked another waitress and that person told another person to find a take out box for my friend. This person could not find one and asked my friend to sit down and someone would bring it to the table. Apparently this rubbed my friend the wrong way... which I kind of felt badly for... because my friend could be confrontational. I still ended up paying the bill but informed them I will be writing a letter to the head quarters because of the poor service. They begged me not to and told me that they would send the manager over. We NEVER saw him! The other Ihop on Kuhio is busier, but never this poorly run. I will never go back... unless there are only 3 other diners in the place.

I give a ONE star only because the hostess was really nice and gave our drinks right away. Other than that service sucked! I should've known that all IHOP's are the same! We were sat within 2 minutes so that was good. The hostess took our drink order and said our waiter should be right there. Our waiter never came. We were sitting there for at least 10 minutes when the manager came and asked if we've been helped. She was the one who took our order. The food came out quickly. I was surprised on how little and sloppy the food looked. When we were down to our last bites our waiter FINALLY decided to pop in and see if we were okay and if we needed refills. I was starting to think that we didn't get served right away because we're locals! =\ But we were actually tourists for the week being that we're staying at the Hilton. Not sure, but that's what it made me feel like. Even the cashier was sassy. I wasn't greeted, wasn't thanked. NOTHING. I hate that! What's hard about a simple "hello." Terrible!

Terrible service. Extremely unorganized. Just walk a bit further and eat mcdonalds breakfast, sadly, you'll get better service there

It wasn't busy, so we were sat immediately. Our server was pleasant, but the atmosphere was boring and slow. Dim lighting. Faint elevator music in the background. Felt like I was dining in a retirement center. My brother and I can eat a lot, so we ordered the waffle with strawberries, blueberry pancakes combo (with hash browns, bacon, sausage, and eggs), and a big steak omelet (with hash) to share. Food was fast, but the presentation was pathetic. Plates should be replaced with new ones; the aged look isn't appealing. The waffle was deflated and unevenly cooked. At least the pancakes were fluffy and I liked the whipped cream and bberry combo. Big Steak was huge; feeds two. Eggs are prepared well, but the dish is a little deceiving. It's topped with steak on the outside, but none on the inside. Usually served with a side of salsa, but they didn't remember to put it on the plate. Tried to ask my server for some, but he disappeared for a bit and I didn't want to wait. Bill came out to $40 with tax and tip. Parking is free. But I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Sorry.

We came here 3 times for breakfast during our stay in Hawaii. We never waited more than 5 minutes to be seated or attended. I have to say this is the cleanest ihop I have ever been to. The food is not bad either and the waiters are super friendly. Hands down they have the best hash browns. Their french toast isnt bad either.

Terrible service, we were seated as soon as we walked in but we sat and waited for 20 minutes to be waited on, with a one year old at that... We watched a couple people come in and be waited on before us. I stoop up and approached one of the waiters and asked why we weren't waited on yet and he said "Oh! Sorry" and waited on us right away..not sure what they have against families here but I've seen a couple posts of people with families having troubles getting waited on here..would not come back here or advise anyone to go here with a family!!! Absolutely terrible service!!!

The main reason why I came here was because they claimed to have free internet which ended up not being accessible. That's a huge letdown as far as service is concerned. As for the food itself, it's really not that great despite being so close to Hilton Hawaiian Village. Also the prices are expensive for the quality of food that is provided.

I witnessed first hand a true 1 star rating. To the IHOP upper management, this place is undermanned and over worked. Send out more workers. The night of 7June2012 at approximately 2015 there were only (2) employees working. 2 employees on the first week of summer in possibly the #1 vacation spot in the world is pretty absurd. I would be stressed out too! Nevertheless, to the manager last night (heavy set csucasian woman), being overworked and underpaid gives you no right to... 1) Be rude on the phone 2) React in laziness when someone asks you for details on the menu 3) Put your customers on hold for over 10 minutes. My wife and I called ahead of time so the food would be ready for pickup. The manger eventually came out and failed to acknowledge our presence. The lobby stunk and packed with guests saying "does anybody work here?!?" In sum, single point failure: Poor management.

Greeter was a little rude, sat down for about 40 mins saw other people get seated and received their drinks and waitresses right away. So we went next door to wailana. Wayyy better there!! One star because i cant give no stars lol

Very disappointed, the service was ok... The food tasted like it was cooked hours prior and reheated, but put into a microwave. Has browns were soggy and fruit was terrible. If it wasn't for the discount we were given, it would have been a total loss. I am prolly not coming back.

I never heard positive things about this place so I wanted to try it (for the first time) to convince myself otherwise. I had a long day ahead of me so instead of ordering pancakes, I opted for of their (healthy) omelets. Boy was I in for a huge letdown. The food was terrible - my omelet (which I shouldn't have ordered) was crap. The veggies didn't seem like they're cooked and the fruit that came with it was also crap. Plus, their prices are a bit high for what you get. The service was even worse than the food. Our waitress was all over the place and the side order of pancakes I ordered (since I was disappointed by my omelet) was taking over 15min's to arrive. Luckily, I was able to taste their pancakes from some leftovers my bf had. I was pissed. Overall, I regret eating there and will never go back there again.

This IHOP had the worst possible service that I have ever had. This place was crowded and it took them nearly 40 minutes to get our order out. The server promised fries and extra things as he messed up telling us that they had soup when they didn't and he didn't even bring this stuff out. The only redeeming factor about this place was that the roast beef melt was absolutely delicious the meat was tender and it was just cooked perfectly. And now I can completely understand why Wailana's not even a block away from this place has about triple the customers.

Went to I-Hop for breakfast this morning and it was amaizinly bad. First My wife ordered 1 egg over easy and an order of toast...pretty simple. I ordered the pancake combo with cinn-a-stack pancakes and 2 eggs over easy. About 5 minutes after ordering the waitress came and told me they were out of the cinnamon stuff for the pancakes so I needed to order something else. OK. These cinnamon pancakes were the reason we came but ....so be it. So I ordered a stuffed french toast combo with 2 eggs over easy. About 2 minutes later my wife's came and the egg was no where near over easy. It was as if the cook had cooked it for about a minute, flipped it for maybe 10 seconds and threw it on the plate. As my wife was grimacing over this digusting egg, my breakfast came and the french toast was cold and the egg was almost as bad as my wife's. they re-did all the eggs, still not a real over easy egg, but we were not going to try again so we ate them. Couple of other points. Wife's toast was maybe buttered, but you couldn't really tell and when we were first seated we had to wait over 5 minutes for anyone to acknowlege us and then only after we flagged down a server. Go any where else.

Ordered two different things and we could not even identify if those were the same with what we ordered. They didn't look like in the pictures at all. We couldn't finish our plates too as nothing tasted good. Just a lot of butter. Also the place is so expensive! Better eat at hilton''s tropics bar.

Parking was a little dicey, need a code to get in the parking garage. Code didn't work and I called IHOP for help, the woman answering was rude, said she couldn't help and hung up on me! After several more attempts, I got in. Walked into the restaurant at 9:30. The same woman that hung up on me greeted me by saying I could only order to go. I said we would be finished in a half hour and she sat us. Haven't had the food yet but the service really sucks!

Food is good and friendly staff. Prices are decent. I ate here a lot a few years ago but this last week there were so many ants on the table and walls I just can't go back. It's a shame but a no go. I'll try Denny's next time.

Ate here breakfast twice already; the coffee is really good (strong and tasty). The service is quick and delightfully quirky and entertaining, loving that! The pancakes and french toast with fruit are my favourites as a breakfast. Try this place out, especially if you're staying at the Aqua Palms Hotel.

Nice place - mostly typical IHOP that I'm used to. Walking distance to the condo I got in Hawaii. The only difference was their prices were Hawaii-style - $12 quick two egg breakfast. Breakfast for three turned into a $60 affair, but it's Hawaii what can you do?

This IHOP is awesome. They were on it as far as refills and quick service. This IHOP seemed to be the only place in town I was able to find turkey sausage. And the waitress was cool enough to suggest that I order my meal as sides so it came out to be cheaper. And IHOP always has the best syrups. I got a breakfast dish and my husband got the waffles and fried chicken. Both were delish. Win win.

This is seriously THE WORST ihop you can find. 1, parking is ridiculous. You have to buzz someone at the front desk of the hotel (which usually takes them forever to answer) and have them open the gate for you. You drive up a super steep driveway about 3 floors. Then you go through this super tight structure making your way to the top (guest parking/ihop parking). 2. The people that work here are very young for the most part including the management. I've gone during breakfast and dinner and I got the same kind of service a few times I even walked out. They're busy talking and joking around with each other they rarely attentive to you or their restaurant. 3. Food is decent just like any other ihop restaurant. I live in town and would much rather drive to Aiea and go to that ihop then drive down the road to this location.

I came here at 3 in the morning with a bunch of friends. It's 24 hours. It was empty when we got there, so hooray for not having to worry about seating! Our waiter (Steven?) was a really nice guy. He was very attentive and very patient. Everyone got breakfast food except for me. I was drunk and an idiot and thought, "It's dark outside. I'm going to eat dinner" LOL. The food did not take long to come out at all. I was with a group of 6. It was good times :)

I do not recommend coming here. I ate here multiple times, but the last time was definitely a mood changer. I came order pancakes with strawberries and bananas, it was good until I got to the middle... It wasn't cooked! It ruined everything. Not coming here ever again.

Where do I begin? Let's see. First, the silverware was dirty. When the waiter brought us our coffee, I couldn't find regular sugar. I figured I would ask the waiter when he came back, but he didn't show back up. When our food finally arrived, I noticed that there wasn't any tobasco sauce at the table. I thought the waiter would come by and ask how everything tasted, and at this time I would ask for sugar and tobasco. Again, he didn't show up. When he finally did show up, I had finished my food and my coffee was cold. Turns out, they were out of sugar to begin with. How does a restaurant run out of sugar? Go by some and put it in containers to give out at customer request. Not to mention the bathrooms were out of order. Completely unacceptable.

The food was good. IHOP has never disappointed us with their quality of food, but the service was awful. Our server almost never came by, and he forgot the put in our order! After an hour of waiting he came back to take our order AGAIN... I used to serve in my teenage years, and from my experience I think I have the right to say, "This is inexcusable". He had an attitude of "I don't really care about anything at all". Very lazy and inattentive. Good luck and so sorry if you get this guy...

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Seated quickly, but service sucked and they weren't even busy. Oder was taken, drinks dropped off, food dropped off, check dropped off. The end. But our waitress made sure to circle the gratuity portion.

I really can't believe the bad reviews, we love this Ihop! Went in 3 times this week for breakfast and it was very good, at all times with different servers. Drinks came quick, refills before even emptying our glass. Food was warm and fresh, our server recommended the seasonal pancakes (raspberry and peaches) and it was so good. They even pointed out that the seasonal menu with those pancakes, eggs, hash browns and 4 sausages was even cheaper than the regular menu. Great! Also the Colorado omelette was nice. We were very happy with the food and service.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say I ate at IHOP when there's so many local choices around, but when with your older sisters do what your older sisters want to do! It's an overpriced IHOP, I had sticker shock $14 for a pancake breakfast.

I read the rating and didnt come here for breakfast. This morning we got up supper early for snorkling reasons & had to eat breakfast at 6:30, so we went to I-Hop!!! I had the french toast, kids had eggs, pancakes and bacon, everything tasted very delicious & was very presentable & clean. I am not sure why people give it bad ratings, my experience was fery good!!! Our waitress was fast & always checked on us.

So far the best IHOP I've visited in Hawaii. Fast service, the food was great (except the meat was slight undercooked) other than that, I had an awesome experience. The parking was super far though and location is absolutely retarded. Only reason why I'm not giving five stars.

The hubby and I woke up late but still wanted breakfast. It was around noon so we decided to hit up IHOP. We walked in with no wait. There was about 3 other tables there. The waitress was nice but did not come around to refill anything. My husband had to keep flagging her down to get refills on the coffee. They also raised the prices on the combo meals. I used to come here and get the pancakes with eggs, bacon and hash browns and it would be like $8. This time when I looked on the menu it was like $12 for the combo. I opted for the special that they were running, strawberry and vanila stuffed french toast with eggs, bacon and hash browns which was still around $8. The hubby got the cheese omelette and pancakes which was $11. The food was decent. The pancakes came out a little late. The stuffed french toast was very yummy, the best thing we ordered that day. The hubby usually doesn't like anything fruity and likes his pancakes plain but he ate more than half of my stuffed strawberry and vanilla french toast.

It's almost 9pm and we have been here since 820pm. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE PATIENCE TO WAIT!!! They are short staffed on a Friday night and they didn't even give us a discount on our meals, let alone give the OJ for free. Never again!!!

Other places would make it seem like this place is a hit or miss, but I had a stellar experience. I should point out that I've eaten at IHOPs before, so I knew what I was getting myself into as far as food. IHOP is never going to be top of the line, but it's fine and a decent price especially in Waikiki. We walked to the location so parking wasn't an issue for us, but parking is kind of a pain anywhere in the area. It was the Saturday after Halloween, so it was very busy, but they seated our party of four within minutes, and the hosts were friendly. Service was excellent. Our server was very attentive, friendly and polite. So were many of the other servers I could see. The only pain in the neck about this place that keeps it from being 4-5 stars is that there is no bathroom accessible from the dining room, it's out in the hotel lobby and you have to go out and around. Just a bit of a nuisance. But as far as food and service goes, this place is where it should be for an IHOP.

For the reviewers that state that this restaurant is 24 hours, that's not true. We showed up just before 6am on a Friday and they were not opened yet. Maybe they stay open 24 hours during the weekends, I'm not sure. I kind of felt sorry for the server (yes there was only one at 6am). We had a party of 4 and there was a line behind us. After he seated everyone, he probably had 6 or 7 tables all by himself that were seated around the same time. The food was okay... I had the stuffed french toast and the cream cheese sauce on top was a little runny. We went for my co-workers b-day and we work graveyard shift, so we went as soon as we got off of work. Even though they don't usually do birthday stuff (per the waiter), he provided the birthday boy with a sundae. Like I said, he was the only server there for the first hour, so I felt sorry for him. It wasn't his fault, but they should have had at least two openers. On a side note, the parking for this place is free, but kind of a pain. It's on Ala Moana Blvd, just past the hotel check in. It looks closed because the gate is down, but you have to read the sign and press some numbers on the dial pad and it opens for you. Parking for IHOP is on the 3rd and 4th levels. The first ramp is extremely steep. Most of the ramps are also very narrow and have sharp turns. Be cautious or YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR VEHICLE!

Your typical IHOP, nothing to special, but they had a limited variety of pancakes relative to the IHOPs I have been to in California. I wouldn't get anything other than the pancakes and eggs though.

Me and three of my amigos had breakfast at this IHOP this past Sunday. Our server was fantastic! Her name was Roz and she was by far the greatest server I have ever had. I have been a bartender and server and I was amazed with how awesome she was! First she greeted us with a fantastic smile and bubbly personality. She was very upbeat and was super excited when she saw our jerseys and started talking Pro Bowl with us! She knew we were in a hurry to get to the game so she brought out the food as soon as it came out, super hot and delicious! I typically do not write reviews but I just had to give Roz a huge THANK YOU for the awesome service... I will be back to this location just to see her!

This is a busy IHOP because of the location here in Waikiki but this doesn't absolve you of basic customer service. Today was the second day in a row we ate at this particular location and it was ok on Sunday but they were slammed. Today was great right up until they brought our food out that's when my waitress told me they were out crepes. Now at this point I'm so angry I don't want anything but she offers me a fruit bowl I accept but I was still really upset. She tried to take care of me but I was still really upset so her tip suffered because of the cook staff failing to notify her promptly about the status of orders had I been notified in a timely matter I could walked out full, fed and happy!

After finishing work and craving breakfast food (c'mon, breakfast food is great no matter the time of day), I decided to go to iHop. I haven't been to an iHop since high school and after passing by this particular location, decided to dine here. It was unfortunately, a below average experience. As soon as we entered, there was no one at the front. The restaurant was a little less than half full but no biggie, usually someone comes out soon anyway. Five minutes went by however, and still no one came out. We were about to leave when someone finally came to the front. With a thin and half smile, we were asked how many. Replied "2", and the hostess (possibly manager) seated us...at a booth that seated only 2 next to each other, facing a wall that was built on what is usually the other side of a booth. I can totally understand if it was packed and busy, but this was at 9pm with all of the regular tables empty and a couple full size booths open. I realize now that I could've requested to sit at the regular tables, but at that moment, I was too hungry to think about it. We were told our server would be right out. Okay, no problem. It took about ten minutes before Eric, our server, came to our table. He seemed to be the only server working. He was polite and pleasant enough. My girlfriend ordered the Hearty Omelet with the buttermilk pancakes and I got the Breakfast Sampler with onion rings on the side. Eric took our orders, brought us our waters and when we requested coffees as well, he obliged. Now in this time-frame of waiting for our food to come out and at the risk of sounding accusatory, I noticed that a couple white customers came in (they weren't together and came separately). The hostess/manager who was white herself, was at the front and seated them quickly. With a big smile, she seated them individually at a table and a booth respectively. One person at seating for up to four. Meanwhile, my girlfriend and I are squished into a half booth. I tried to shake it off, but it was hard to do when she took their orders, got them coffee quickly, and their food came out before ours did. One of them even finished a little after we got our food. Also noticed that she turned away a Japanese couple without saying much but with a black customer, she kindly pointed out that there was another iHop open in Waikiki. I may have misinterpreted what I saw but having lived in the Southeast, this seemed familiar and not in a good way. Our food finally came out and we dug in...except the food wasn't hot. The pancakes were cold along with the eggs. The ham, sausages, and bacon were lukewarm at most. I don't expect food to be piping hot when served but when onion rings come out cold and a bit soggy, something is off. With no ketchup on the table, I tried to find Eric to ask him for some. I couldn't find him and spotted the lady walking to the kitchen. I tried to flag her down and it seemed like she made eye contact with me...but she kept walking. Well okay then. In the end, I just grabbed it off a table that hadn't been fully cleaned yet. Eric did come to check on us later though it was only about halfway through our meal and again towards the end to bring the check. We finished eating and paid our bill. The meal was a bit pricey for breakfast food, but being in Waikiki, that's to be expected. Overall, it was all right. There's cheaper places with better food and service. I wouldn't mind trying it again one day and hopefully get a better experience, but for the time being, I would pass.

Horrible. DO NOT EVER go to this IHOP. They make you WAIT forever before you get a seat, then you have to WAIT again for your server. Most of them are rude as well. My husband and I call it "Come Happy, Leave Hungry." This past weekend I went here with my little ohana. Mind you I have a 9 Month old child I'm holding in my arms. We had to ask for a high chair. Waited a good 10 MINUTES and still nobody came to assist. My husband had to literally go find one in the back next to the kitchen and nobody acknowledge him doing so. Then we kept waiting for somebody to come and at least give us water or offer drinks. NOBODY CAME. That's almost 20 minutes sitting there with no assistance. So, we walked out. NEVER AGAIN will we ever go to this IHOP. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!

The trick here is, keep you expectations minimal. IHOP is a chain, a franchise, an upscale Denny's. I'm not much of a breakfast person, but for the last week i reaaaallly been craving French toast. This morning, I made it a point to satisfy that craving, and in all honestly I left IHOP this morning just that, satisfied. The pictures and what u get never look the same, everything's a bit smaller and less neat in presentation.. But I'm not worried about that sorta thing at an IHOP. The service was quick, friendly, and personable.. I enjoyed myself!

This place is a must not ! So we decided to go here cause of convenience but in all the hostess sat our group of five at a table that was too small do I asked about bringing another table over or moving us (by the way this place had plenty of seating and was a four seater table they were putting us at) and I was basically told this table is big enough so after getting into a kinda heated discussion with her feh waitress came over and asked about what happened and she too was irritated but had no power to move us as she is just a waitress well to make a long story short the little waitress was sweet as can be and I did tip her for being so nice and a good waitress food was same as all I hops Eat At Your Own Risk

I got their fried rice and spam combo and the rice was cold. It was really gross. I ended up eating like 2 bites. Spam was good..but I won't credit them with that because it'd be pretty hard to mess up spam! I should have just eaten at a local restaurant instead. My niece wanted traditional, but this place wasn't the place to go for our Idaho traditional and expect to still get some local food.

This IHOP is likely the best I've eaten at in this chain. The seating was immediate. We had attentive service. And, the food was a broader selection than I've seen from them on the mainland. They pointed out some items that were Hawaiian tradition. They also had a guy that drew charactures of people. There was no cost to IHOP customers. My daughter did one that turned out cute. We did tip the artist. Bottom line is my experience was excellent and I'll come back again before I must return to the mainland.

I love IHOP food, so my gripe is with this location: I was seated and I ordered; after literally a half-hour, no food came, not even the coffee I ordered, and I hadn't even been given water. I got up and founf my waitress, who said there was a "mix-up" and the order wasn't "put in yet." I literally have never had this happen at any restaurant, anywhere. Seems like this location figures it lives off non-repeat tourist business, so it's not important to hire or train competent waitstaff.

Loved it! Nicest IHOP I've been to. I was reluctant to go bc the IHOP where I live is pretty dirty and shabby. But this one is bright and cheery, as is Jayson, love him! Food is IHOP food, generally too sweet for me but reasonable price and quality.

Me and my wife went here for breakfast around 11 am today. We got seated immediately which was nice. However we waited for about 20 minutes for a server to even come up to us. We saw them helping others and tried making eye contact with them but they ignored us. Eventually a server came, by then we were thinking about leaving and going to the coffee place next door. The food came out quickly. About what you would expect from ihop. My wifes crepe had an amazingly disgusting amount of butter on it which she drained onto another plate. After we finished eating we again waited about 20 minutes for the check to come. We got up to pay at the register where 2 employees were waiting. I went to hand the check to the employee standing directly behind the register at which point he ignored me and walked away. The other employee said they are not authorized to use the cash register. Neither of them went to get someone who could use the register, they just stood their chatting away.. We stood there for about 5 minutes until a different employee came. Apperntly she was in the back getting someones takeout order. Not sure why they would make the only person who can use the cash register do that instead of one of the waiters just standing around. We turned around and left and at almost at the same time we said we are never going back to that ihop again.

I am staying at a hotel nearby and they provided me free breakfast vouchers for IHOP. I come here pretty regularly and both the service and the food are hit or miss. Take your chances.

This is the WORSE IHOP, EVER! Do not waste a dime of your money at this IHOP. You've been warned! I ordered strawberry-banana pancakes, 2 eggs, and a hash brown...my daughter ordered an egg white Big Steak Omelet. The strawberries on my pancakes were frozen. The pancake at the bottom of the stack was not cooked thoroughly...I could see batter in the middle. My hash brown was cold and stale. I asked for a fresh hash brown and got it. Unfortunately, the hash brown in my daughter's omelet was just as stale as the first one I had. She was picking pieces of hard, plastic-like hash brown out of her mouth. At first we thought the quality of food was dismal because they were closing in less than an hour...that was not the case; they stay open 24 hours on the weekend. Our server asked how everything was and I let him know the food was HORRIBLE. He didn't charge us for the eggs...yay, us...NOT! Like I said at the beginning of this review, don't waste your money at this IHOP. If only I could place a minus symbol before the one star they didn't earn.

The fact that yelp does not allow reviews to be less than one star is a kindness for which this IHOP location should grateful. While the manager with whom my friend chatted after our dining experience was very nice and accommodating, the fact that anyone was so dissatisfied that they demanded to speak to a manager is a testament to how horrifying the service was. I arrived last of our 5 person party due to a miscommunication about which IHOP we were meeting at. Still, once I'd arrived about 20 minutes behind my friends, despite the fact that I asked them to put in my order with theirs, found them sitting there in a nearly empty restaurant, still waiting on a first round of coffee. During the entire breakfast we only got one round of water and everyone who ordered actual breakfast food was sorely disappointed. I ordered the Simple & Fit with real eggs instead of scrambled egg substitute and was saddened to find the most depressing looking eggs, rubbery turkey bacon, and bowl of honeydew. It's supposed to be a mix of produce, not 2 grapes and a sliver of cantaloupe lost in a jungle of honeydew melon. My two girlfriends who also ordered breakfast food (pancakes and an omelette) were equally disappointed with the food quality. Our two guys with us both opted for the daily western bacon cheeseburger special which was neither special or filled with bacon. On oversized buns, their passably cooked burgers each had a small and thin slice of cheese with one slice of unappetizingly cooked bacon wedged in between. The fries were edible but that's not saying much. At the end of our overpriced meal, we received our bill. Not only did the server add an automatic gratuity of 18% for our party of 5, but they overcharged us for the burgers which prompted the manager involvement. While the manager was very professional and fair about resolving our disappointing dining situation, the fact that we had to involve a manger is enough to stop me from ever returning to this IHOP location. If I want IHOP in Waikiki, I'll go to the Lewers & Kuhio location.

Salt, sugar, and fat in high doses at equally high prices served by an average waitstaff doing their best to manage the daily crush of hungry visitors. Nothing overly good or bad. Delivers IHOP standards, just at prices probably double what one expects due to the location, the $2.89 pitcher of coffee was a deal though. 12:30pm on a Sunday had no wait and decent service.

It took foreveer to get our food but the waiter was good always made sure our drinks were full. And the staff repeately apologized fo or the wait but it was worth it the strawberry banana pancakes with the eggs and sausage and BACON! Awesome dont know the last time i went to ihop but im definitely going more now. Hopefully next time there wont be much of a wait.

We had the spinach griddle melt which was delicious and just what we needed. The service was excellent and completely the opposite of so many of the negative reviews. The manager, Chey, was clearly supporting her staff and was able to be attentive to us and all the other smaller parties in the midst of a massive party of 25 teenagers. I really have no idea what everyone else experienced but this place was great. We're probably going to be back for pancakes in the morning!

They only have bowls of soup. No cups. That's a good thang. Plenty of Seats and service was actually really good.

Most expensive IHOP ever. Service was quick and fast. They were very helpful with my two little ones. Everything was good except the middles of our pancakes were still runny.

Perfect for townies; one would think because iHOP is located in Waikiki it its hard to park at and expensive (WRONG) ihop is on Ala Moana Blvd, two block from Ala Moana Shopping Center and they have a huge covered parking lot and its FREE. I wish I had taken a picture of our son's huge $7.99 breakfast, scrambled eggs (2 or 3) hash browns (aka flying potato's) slice of ham (or bacon or link) and banana bread French toast (2 or 3 slices). The food was not greasy like many of the other breakfast places, the portions where huge, the coffee comes in a jug to your table (no waiting for refills) and the wait was only a minute or two on a Sunday morning at 10AM (and free parking). Lots of local staff, fast service, fast turn over, well priced and convenient, two thumbs up and 5 stars for the Ala Moama Blvd iHOP.

Worst ihop ever. Ever. The service was slow, we didn't get greeted until forever. We saw our waitress 3 times, to take our order bring us our meal and then our check. Its my biggest pet peeve when they never come to check on you. The food is way way way over priced for the portions. $12 for two eggs two pieces of bacon and toast!?! Then it comes out on such a sad big plate which makes it look like you have even less. My sausage was cold, my eggs were disgusting and the hashbrowns tasted like they cooked them on the floor. Will never return ever.

We stayed at the Aqua Palms, so of course we went to IHOP for a quick breakfast bite. Not comparable to real breakfast food at diners, but doable for a chain restaurant.

IHOP food is IHOP food. I got whole wheat pancakes & scrambled egg whites for dinner because I was having a breakfast-food-for-dinner craving. It was good, but on the pricey side at $10. It is definitely the nicest IHOP I've seen (and it should be - it's brand new!). They also have an outside dining area, which is rare for this neighborhood. If I want greasy hangover grindz I'll hit Wailana but IHOP is a somewhat more refined alternative on that block.

Total suckage at totally inflated prices.

The Wailana Coffee House next to this IHOP was closed for the shooting of a Hawaii 5-0 scene. IHOP workers were giving out free 10% off coupons. The food was good, the service not so much.

Horribble service once again....and food. we waited almost 10 minutes before we even got service and than our food took about 40 minutes and even when it came out half of the order was wrong. we didn't bother to ask for corrections because why wait another 40 minutes! i ended up writing into the website to complain because this was not the first time i had gotten bad service at IHOP. I got a response but all they said "was that they were sorry for the service i recieved" and that "they had met with the staff to correct this problem"...ok yeah whatever. it's safe to say that i will most likely never go to ihop again. spend your hard earned $$ else wear or just make yourself a nice breakfast at home:)

This place looks very nice when you walk in, but don't let that fool you! because the food doesn't match the beauty on the inside of the building. To start off we were greeted when we walked in and seated right away. Our waitress was very nice and helpful I just wish the food was as good as her service. my order came out pretty quick. I orfderd the minion tater plate thing, it wasn't worth remembering the name. It had some creamy cheese on it and wasn't that great, my eggs were good but thats something thats hard to make horrible. My GF ordered some beacon, hash browns, toast, and had a minion-aide. the Hash browns and bacon were horrible. I don't know how but that was the worst bacon i have had in a long time. I would recommend KOA over IHOP. The experience was not that bad because we had a great waitress it was just the food that was horrible.

BLECH! I did not like this IHOP at all. Normally, I prefer cooking at home because lately I have not had good luck with restaurants however I wanted to do something nice and different for 4th of July breakfast since I had to work that whole day. So my boyfriend and I decide to try breakfast at IHOP, taking a risk despite our shaky dining experiences. When we arrived, there was a line and a 20 minute wait ahead of us. Understandable, considering it was a holiday. Once we got seated (outside) on a clean table, I immediately noticed the extremely loud settings and the fact that we were next to all the traffic (including tour buses!) coming out of the hotel district. Then I got a look at the menu and prices. Oh my god, not worth it. I ordered pancakes which were crappy mix pancakes with eggs and one crummy piece of bacon. My bf ordered a burger and quesadillas which weren't bad but again, way overpriced. The service was terribly uncoordinated and took forever! It was all in all a disappointing experience and I wish I had just stayed home and made my own pancakes. I would not ever recommend this place for good food, good service, or good prices.

IHOP is IHOP. Its not rocket science, but what impressed me most is the service. Our 2nd day in Hawaii, we went here just because it was right across from our hotel. They gave us spam as a side even though its not part of the menu... I just wanted to take a spam in Hawaii. The lady who were serving us is really pleasant, not just to us but also to the elderly couple on the next table. The experience is better, when you are served better.

I HATE this Ihop (the one next to the Wailana Coffee House)! The first time I went there wasn't that bad but the food was NOT good. Then just yesterday for our Fourth Of July, my mom & I decided to go there. First of all, it took like 5 minutes just for someone to even NOTICE that we had been waiting to be seated, then when our orders were brought out, my burger was very sloppy made & it completely just fell apart before I could finish it & the fries tasted like crap! My mom had ordered a simple fruit bowl but that was a bust. The fruit was NOT AT ALL fresh, infact it was wilting & the yogurt that was served with it was Gogurt (The kid's brand)! So then this huge family of tourists come in (about 10 people) & we asked for a to go box so we could get out of their hair. But nope. Our waitress decides to seat this huge family FIRST, take ALL THEIR ORDERS FIRST, bring them their drinks & appetizers FIRST, before finally asking a bus boy to bring us a to go box. & No she did not forget because through-out this whole time, she keeps passing us telling us "I didn't forget!" & I'm thinking THEN WHAT THE HELL! Totally ridiculous. We are NEVER eating there again. No wonder why they don't get that much business. No one even apologized.

While I didn't mind the pancakes the IHOP seems very under done. Sticky tables, poor wait staff and powdered eggs! Crazy!

Waitress was barely available. Didn't refill water. I don't know what I should have expected. Pancakes pretty good. But sausage was expensive and tiny. Overall I thought it was expensive for what you got. Might as well get a really tasty breakfast for a little bit more at a buffett.

Poor customer service. There was food under the table (3 pieces bacon) in plain sight. The coffee was not good. The first cup I sent back had a burnt taste and the 2nd I sent back because it was watered down. I gave this restaurant 2 stars only because the manager took responsibility right away. The food tasted OK but that was about it. Good luck!

When going to IHOP, 'DO NOT' go to Ala Moana location. Go to Kuhio Location in Waikiki. David Bagood the store manager is amazing and he will make sure your customer service, speed of service, and food quality is top notch!! The people in Ala Moana IHOP location is as worst as any food establishment will get when it comes to customer service, speed of service, and food quality. Look around and you will quickly understand why Ala Moana location is no where near as busy as Wailana Coffee House next to them across from the Hilton Hotel nor David's store at the Kuhio IHOP location.

The worst IHOP I have ever been to! First, we sat for 10 minutes at our table before anyone came to check on us and then it was the manager! The manager took our drink and food order, brought our food out to us. I ordered a BLT and it was so thin and pathetic, I peeled the soggy bread apart and put the limp ingredients to one side. THAT finally made a decent 1/2 of a sandwich! I took 2 bites and realize that I'm going to throw up if I take one more bite. I was done. Never saw a waiter/waitress the whole time we were there. Save yourself salmonella poisoning and walk quickly past this disaster!

By far, one of the very worst experiences I've ever had dining out. Went with my boyfriend and he said he felt the same way. Service was extremely slow, and the waitress had a nasty attitude for no apparent reason. Very short with us, walked away in the middle of us ordering without explaining herself, taking long, drawn-out moments to come back. No apology. Rushed, impatient energy from her. Food: Nasty. Fries: A side of french fries was almost $4.00, and it literally came with no more that 20+ french fries sitting in the corner of an otherwise large and empty plate (looked like sparse leftovers of someone else's serving). When I mentioned to the waitress that the serving looked very small she said (very abruptly, harsh-sounding), "That's a serving of fries" and just walked away. Pancakes: Cold & chewy, had traces of dough in it. ***Turkey sandwich: **LITERALLY A SINGLE SLICE of turkey and a partially melted, single slice of cheese, bread was wet and sandwich stuffed with white lettuce to compensate for it otherwise being mostly empty. Did I mention the bread was wet? OJ: Was actually great. But that was all that was working. I would never go to this location again, I would recommend you don't either.

I love Hawaii, but don't love their prices. I am from the Boston area, and when I went to this Ihop the usual omelette i get (country omelette) tasted the same and was about double the price! I finished my small glass of orange juice, our waitress came over and asked us if we wanted another drink. ( i am used to waitresses just taking my empty and refilling it). I told her, yeah I will have another orange juice. She asked me if I wanted a different drink, and mentioned how they charge by the glass! I was like what?! I ended up getting another oj, because i wasn't a fan of their sour lemonade drinks that my bf got that had free refills. We got the check. 2 omelettes, 2 ojs, 2 lemonades = 50 dollars. Around here all of that is about 25 dollars. This was insane! However we did end up going one more time for breakfast, I wasn't willing to try the coffee shop before it. I usually like Ihop, tastes the same everywhere, but much too pricey for a chain restaurant.

Much better deal than the Rainbow restaurant. It is right across the street from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Our waitress was very nice and the restaurant had outdoor seating, which was quick to get seated in 5 minutes for my family of 6. I got the banana macadamia nut pancakes and they were surprisingly good, since I don't normally like IHOP's buttermilk pancakes. The price was good, service good, food was great and everyone was happy. I am going to go to my local IHOP here in Austin to get those pancakes again.

as i was walking to ala moana center, i saw a sign posted at the aqua palms & spa resort stating that ihop was going to open up there. with the first waikiki location just a mile away from the planed site, i don't understand why they are building it in such proximity. are they there to give wailana coffee house and eggs'n things a little competition? it looks like it'll be open just in time for summer.

A change is coming, we were given a preview of the new standards of food and service that the rest of the IHop's around the island will soon be implementing. After my review of the Aiea location which is available on my profile here on Yelp! we were contacted by the IHop overseer of Hawaii locations, he's new to the desk and our review made an impact. We were invited to witness the change during Kawaii Kon and accepted the invite. I ordered the exact same meal that had failed me in Aiea and I was blown away by the difference on the plate, everything was fresh. You could taste it. And to top it off we were given soft, buttery homemade biscuits rather than the frozen reheated ones from Aiea. I advise anyone who has given IHop's around the island bad reviews to go and try again in a few months when changes have been around for a while/when they get to your local store, reevaluate them and give them new and honest reviews. If you really want to make a change then do what we did and submit an email to their corporate site, they do listen to the people that eat in their restaurants.

We had good server in Cal. He was on top of it all. The Double-Dipped French Toast was alright. Smokehouse Combo was fair. So what I didn't like was the fact I couldn't pay at the counter. I had to pay my server who at the time was busy tending to other customers. I had to wait for Cal to finish his duties. Well what if I were in a rush, then what? This is where a counter cashier can ease that, but instead had to wait about 20 minutes before I could complete my transaction. iHop work on this. Not a fan! To Cal's defense, you had to do you Bruddah! Thanks! Not a hit on you, but to your employer to make this process much better! Mahalo!

Went here twice on our week-long Oahu trip and I can't really complain about the service. Both of our servers were lovely and polite and always checked up on us. Arrived around 9am at both times and had to wait, but were seated within 5 minutes which was perfectly fine. The food was good, the presentation isn't always the best, the breakfast looks like it's thrown onto the play and both times I've ordered hot chocolate it's overfilled and spilt into the table but what matters is that it still tastes good! We waited for our meals for a longggg time the second time around, we over heard a waitress say to another that the kitchen was a disaster. We managed to get our meals, mine had a hash brown that I didn't order and my waitress said I didn't have to eat it but I did anyway lol. Overall it was a fair experience, can't fault them too much. The service was good and the food wasn't horrible.

A welcome sign after trying to support local businesses. An omelet, hash browns, bacon & sausage and 3 banana pancakes w/ coffee for under $15. Most places have deals but after adding (+1)eggs, bacon & sausage with coffee the price goes up with a quickness. ($20 plus for 1 person) IHOP had my food out in under 6 minutes not 20 min. like the diner next door. iHOP has mainland food at mainland prices.

To be honest, I only really come here on a National Pancake Day. So this review is based on that! This IHOP is kinda of weirdly located in Waikiki... sort of. It shares the building/parking/bathroom with a hotel, which can be nice considering it actually has parking and nice hotel bathrooms! We came in and there was a 10 minute wait, which was expected considering the free pancakes. We got seated and it took awhile for waiter to come around and take our order. We had a four year old with us and she was having none of that, but still, it was busy. When he finally came around, he was super nice and got us going with our orders. We all got pancakes but I didn't realize how much the other food was - $9 for a kid's grilled cheese and fruit?! Yikes. He brought our drinks fast, and I did appreciate that he left me the entire coffee-thermos-thing so I could refill it myself. I love me some coffee. Our food proceeded to take foreveeeeer and a day. I was starving by the time it came. Again, can't complain too much because ***free*** but still. My boyfriend's mozzarella sticks (I told him not to order mozzarella sticks at an IHOP but I digress) came and apparently they were out of marinara sauce... which kind of defeats the purpose of mozzarella sticks if you ask me. Despite all this, the pancakes were good, the coffee was good. The mozzarella sticks were meh and the grilled cheese didn't look amazing, but all in all it wasn't a bad meal. Our waiter was super friendly and nice but he seemed to be working way too many tables alone. Then we got our check and for mozzarella sticks, kids grilled cheese, coffee, and orange juice - $17. Again, a bit much, but at least we got our pancakes! This place definitely is not the worse, and as far as IHOPs go, it's a decent location with friendly staff. But if you're looking for breakfast food, there are a lot of better places around. Keep looking!

Overall the food was delicious and the service was OK. It was nice getting away from the Hawaii prices and get a good breakfast at low prices esp. for Oahu! Would highly recommend and will be going back again.

Surprisingly, I loved this location. I was craving breakfast around 3pm, an hour after most/all breakfast places have ended service for the day. IHOP seemed like a good, if mediocre, choice. I was happy my expectations were low. The day and time we went, there was only one server on, but the hostess was friendly and helped get our drinks. The staff was no-nonsense, just quick and accurate service. I had the south west omelette, which had hash browns, peppers, onions, and steak all inside. Minus a little gristle, it was delicious! I was happy to have the option of fresh fruit on the side, which was actually fresh and sweet. My dining companion had the senior breakfast special; all of which was cooked well and delicious. We enjoyed sharing the pancakes. The restaurant itself is very cozy, with soft carpet and nice lighting. It was clean and quiet as well. This is also a convenient location, right on Ala Moana. Quality of food is better than that of Wailana next door and relatively cheap. Great for families starting a busy day of tourism or locals looking for a cheap place to walk to.

What a joke this place was. We drove all the way up to the third level of parking in what was probably the most poorly designed parking garage. We then proceeded to the ground floor where the restaurant was only to have to sign up for an extended wait. The restaurant was only about 1/3 full, yet there was a long line of people waiting - it made no sense. We then had to sign up for a parking pass only to find out that we would have to return to our car to put the pass on the dashboard. Then, we would still have to wait in line for one of the many, many open tables. How ridiculous. We will never even try to eat at IHOP in Hawaii again.

Ended up here since all the local brunch places were packed with people, and we did want to spend our precious vacation time waiting lol. Average IHOP, but they've got a "local"menu such as loco moco and other things you probably won't find in IHOPs on mainland. But like other IHOPs, you always get a discounted version of what's on the menu... I was really disappointed since they did not use fresh strawberry on my strawberry and banana french toast :( Go the the nearby local places if you've got time.

worst experience in a long time. Managers chose to sit in back dining area while my waitress ran around taking all the tables. she did good for the most part. Food came out quick, but I waited for my toast, ketchup, and tabasco so the eggs got cold. never got my pancakes, or a refill on my coffee. If she would of had a little help from the hostess or the 5 other employees chatting in the back room. Although, a manager did give me a 2nd set of silverware.

Although I have to say this ihop at night ia paticularly under-staffed, it was great. The manager, Shy, was great. I would recommend going. Plus, who doesn't like the fact that kids eat for free from 4pm-10pm.

Absolute worst service I have ever had. Two people doing seating, taking payments, and taking orders. Were "out" of several items we were going to order. Don't waste your time going there.

Service was so-so. We've tried this place so many times and each times service was just not great. Either they forgot the order or didn't place the order. The table was never cleaned properly. It was sticky, had crumbs, or old coffee from prior customer who sat at that table. Our utensils were stuck to the napkin which tells us that the utensils were not cleaned properly and probably still had syrup on them. My French toast was soggy in the middle as if the egg was not fully cooked on the bread. I don't know about you but I was pretty grossed out by all of this. Could barely eat my food from all that.

Not usually one to put up a bad review, but here goes. Waited forever to get a table. In HI, even in winter, outdoors is comfy, so we took an outdoor table to get seated faster (45 minutes). Had to fight off the birds who were all over our table. Our order was taken right away, but had to wait for our food, in the mean time, had a great laugh with the couple sitting next to us about how bad the service was. The couple next to us had to get up and get all our silverware, then the waitress came over and said she had misplaced our ticket and asked us if we remembered what we ordered. Finally got our food, Mine was WAY wrong, had to send it back. my husband had to share one of his pancakes with the birds, so they would leave us alone. Take a tourist hint. Literally right next door to IHOP is Wailana coffee house that is EXCELLENT. Go there instead.

I haven't been to an IHOP for over 6 months since my last trip to Las Vegas. Day 1- I ordered the Breakfast Sampler and a side order of wheat toast. 2 eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns and 2 old fashion pancakes. Totally hit the spot. I also had two pots of coffee. The second pot cost $2.29. The sampler was $11.49. On my second visit I ordered the Ultimate Bacon and Sausage which came with your choice of pancakes, crepes or French toast for only $7.99. This place had good service and food at a reasonable price. Much better than the hotels restaurants.

We went here for lunch one day because it's connected to our hotel and they give hotel patrons a 10% discount. They were really short staffed so we had to wait a very long time to be seated. Once we were seated the service seemed to be fine. We asked our waiter about the wait and he said they were slow so they sent most of the people home and then they got a rush. He offered us the WiFi code while we waited (they have free WiFi). My food was good (turkey sandwich) but my husband wasn't impressed with his (Philly Cheese-steak). We thought it was better than the coffee house that is next store though (Wailana Coffee House). We ended up going back for breakfast and this time there was no wait to be seated. We got the same server, Justin. Once again he was very attentive. I am picky and like my eggs, hashbrowns and bacon cooked well done. All were exactly the way I like it and my husband was happy with his food too. Plus, the prices were good. As we were checking out Justin came up to us and asked if we had forgot something. We had no clue what he was talking about. Then he pulls my husband's iPhone from his pocket. I am sure we will be visiting again before we leave. I just hope Justin is working.

One word: Saltiness. not the salt and pepper kind. Hostess was salty. Waitresses were salty as they walked by and glared at us. Fifteen minutes later, we still sat...lonely, unattended, and acutely aware of the outrageously un-IHOP-like high prices on the menu. We were salty. "Was anyone not salty?" you ask. Why, yes. The girl who was supposed to be our waitress was happy as a lark, chatting idly and giggling with her friend at the front of the store. Twenty minutes in, we got up and walked out. Salty hostess sent us a salty glare. I shot saltiness right back at her. We ate at the popular retro local hang-out, Wailana Coffee House, next door. Fantastic service. Good food. Go there.

I saw bad reviews but my daughter likes this place probably from commercials Went here about a year ago for dinner and I kinda remember waiting a while This time I called about parking and reservations and the girl said they don't do reservations but she took my name anyway because it wasn't busy When we got there I sat for half a second and she called us. Felt a little bad for the people waiting... just a little Food was good. Liked the french toast thing filled w/ cream cheese and fruit topping Can't compare price because never been to any other ihop Parking is free Ate here about 9 mo. ago. Just finishing review now

My friend and I wen to this place because he didn't want another fake continental breakfast and we were staying across the street at the Marriott. First of all, there was a weird smell right when we entered. Strange. I ordered something from the healthy section of the menu, which BTW I have to give them props for having, because most places do not. My friend ordered pancakes. Our waitress asked if he wanted a fruit cup or something else and he ordered the fruit. We each had a drink (him coffee and I had diet soda). The waitresss didnt come over very often. In fact I had to flag her down more than once. She forgot the syrup that I specifically asked for, and she overcharged us!. Imagine, you think this place is going to be cheap breakfast, and for 2 people, it comes out to over $30?!?! And the fruit cup was not included in the price of the item my friend ordered, so we had to pay an additional $3 for something we wouldnt have wanted for the price. Needless to say, not going back. I should also mention that the waitresses were all in an uproar because they thought that a customer had walked out on the bill. The lady was changing her baby in the restroom. Imagine, 5-6 people all staring out the door and gossiping for over 5 minutes about this "situation". Reminded me they were all about the money and not about the customers.

Eggs were cold and pancakes overdone. The topper was they ran out of silverware and gave us plastic. Worst breakfast experience I've ever had. If the waitress had not been so friendly and apologetic, we would have walked out.

The service is what you should expect from a very busy tourist place, and that's fairly spotty. Wifi Tip: They do have internet access at this location for their patrons. But don't ask the wait staff. They'll tell ya they don't because they don't wanna be bothered with knowing how. Ask one of the managers. They're happy to give you the login pass code.

Contrary to previous reviews, the wait wasn't bad (5 mins on a Saturday morning), the staff were friendly and fast, and the food was reasonable. I ordered to "International Crepe Passport" which came with 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausage links, and 2 Nutella crepes. It was delicious and all under $10. Side note: The New York Cheesecake Pancakes are worth ordering too :)

My boyfriend and I decided to have a late dinner (10:45pm) and although Waikiki is expensive, we decided to check out IHOP because they were open until midnight and we had had a positive experience in California. First of all, upon entering the ridiculous parking lot, the attendant (whom you must dial up) told us that IHOP was closed. I wish he hadn't corrected himself because then we would've just found another place to eat. My bf is handicapped and drives a large SUV. We kept looking for the handicapped stalls that happened to be at the very top of the parking lot and making it up there was CRAZY! The turns were extremely tight and I was really thankful that he apparently is a very skilled driver! When we entered the restaurant, the hostess/waitress seated us and gave us the menus right away. We waited for a long time for someone to take our order. There was another waitor and manager there who seemed to be too preoccupied on his cell phone to answer the restaurant phone or help us. While looking over the menu I realized this was going to be an expensive meal and begged my bf to let us go somewhere else. But he had battled the parking lot already and was too hungry to wait. I ended up ordering the Tuscan Chicken Griller ($14.60) and a coke ($2.85). He ordered the Breakfast Sampler ($14.00) and a OJ ($4.85) and coffee ($2.95). My sandwhich/burger was dripping with oil and they messed up on his order (they shorted him the ham). Total with tip was $50.00. Should've had a v8 instead.

You can expect a 15-30 minute wait on any given weekend or holiday depending on the size of your party. visit: 2/15/10 9:30AM This wasn't our first visit but it will likely be our last to this location. When we arrived there was a 20 minute wait for a party of two. We noticed several open tables on the lanai so we said we would sit outside. We were informed that despite many open tables we would still have to wait. When we were finally seated we noticed there were several open tables inside too. It was soon apparent why--they were terribly understaffed. It took five minutes for our server to make it to our table and another five before she returned with our water and coffee. Our food arrived in reasonable time and she only neglected to bring out our pancakes. It was corrected quickly after we pointed this out. The overall food quality was awful though. The bacon, sausage, and hash browns were all soggy and undercooked--not to mention the puddle of oil at the bottom of the plate. Eggs, pancakes, and French toast were okay but nothing to write home about. Normally I can drink two or three cups of coffee during breakfast but I was barely able to force one down this time. The menu pricing makes no sense as well: if you order a breakfast sampler it cost $11.49 but if you order a breakfast sampler with all you can eat pancakes it's only $9.99. When we departed we counted 12 open tables and 15 plus people standing out in the sun waiting to be seated. On a good note (for some) they offer a 10% military discount and they bring it up in case you forget.

Though conveniently close to our hotel this was the worse IHOP experience we have had. The service was slow and food came out cold and at different times. Most of my family had finished before my order ever arrived. Check amount was wrong, items ordered never arrived or were totally different than we had selected. Most IHOP's you got to are excellent - not this one.

My family & I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and were surprised to learn there was an IHOP right across the street. Having never been to one, we decided to go there for breakfast on Mother's Day. We should have bolted when the hostess said they were short-staffed (on Mother's Day??), but we were determined. And then we had to wait....and wait.....(you get the idea). Food: Ordered fruit plate for the kids = forgot the fruit plate Ordered "crispy" bacon = I think they boiled it "Double blueberry pancakes" = huge glob of canned blueberry mush dumped on top of the pancakes Be prepared. Some of the average breakfasts can run you over $10 @ plate. We had to stand and pace in order to get our check. And then IHOPPED out of there.

I ate here on cyber Monday and was hoping for the Cinnamon pancakes. My waiter said it was a busy weekend, so I got something else. My waiter was very friendly, but I only saw him 3 times during my visit. All the servers seemed very busy, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they were down a server that day. I ordered the french vanilla flavored coffee and couldn't finish it because it was too sweet. Lesson learned. I suggest going to the pancake house next door for breakfast, I had a better experience there.

I love IHOP but this one in particular had the worst service EVER! I went in with my dad and my step-son. We should have just walked out after waiting 20 minutes for a server to even take our order. Our food took another 30 minutes. I almost walked out a few times, but I kept thinking the food would be out any minute. When it finally came out they gave my step-son the wrong order. He started crying and then I almost cried! What shocked me the most was that there were only 5 other tables in the whole place.

if only i can put NO STAR AT ALL, THIS IHOP place is not a good place to go to get a good breakfast! the SERVERs or maybe that server we had was not doing her job, it was such a TURN OFF! IT was OUR FIRST AT IHOP AND IT WILL BE OUR LAST. The MANAGER FOR THAT SHIFT was not doing her job either because we asked her first when she was walking around pretending to be doing someting, then she just told us she'll tell somebody to do it, she can't even do it by herself. They cannot even do a refill for WATER, It took them 10 minutes just for a REFILL! WILL NOT EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! DON'T EVER GO TO THIS IHOP PLACE TRY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Service was not as good as what I'm used to but food was good. Had the BTL with cheese on sourdough bread. Fruit was fresh!

food is ok, service is TERRIBLE. So slow. long, draggy waits between refills. Took over 15 minutes to even take our order. No wonder none one is ever in here they don't pay attention to their customers or try to make the experience a nice lunch or dinner. This place is empty all the time for a reason

Is it just my imagination here or did the portions get a lot smaller than a few months ago? The service was alright, nothing that made me say wow. We barely even saw our server, but when we did she was nice. I have been to other IHOP locations besides this one and definitely have experienced better. Reason for coming to this location was convenience. The prices are okay also, they can range anywhere from cheap list to the upper ranges of getting an omelet plate for about $17. It was a lot busier than last time we came, maybe because it is summer?? Either way we still came on a weekday. We ordered a breakfast sampler which came with a bunch of different breakfast meats (bacon, canadian bacon and link sausage), eggs, hash browns and pancakes of course. It was good, however, I noticed the pancakes were not like how they usually are. It was definitely different. I cannot quite explain it, but my sister and brother knew what I was talking about..maybe the fluffiness. Usually when we come here we are served a whole lot of food-this time it looked like portion control to the max. My dad is a big guy-last time he was full, this time I left wondering if he was still hungry. I don't know what is up with this location, but it is weird. Needs a pick me up and maybe new management, seems blah. I doubt we will be returning to this location. Come on Waikiki, show some Aloha!
(2)
Ralph R.
Good service, and the food quality you would expect from a national chain. Yes, it's expensive, but it's in Waikiki and it's very likely less expensive than breakfast at your hotel. We ate there after spending the night at the Hilton Hawaiian Village across the street. We got there 15 minutes before. Large bus disgorged it's load of tourists, so we beat the crowd and had a good meal. I recommend it.
(3)
Josh L.
The experience was mediocre at best. The omelet had too much oil for one, the food was suppose to be cheap but I have had much better food for a lot less, and nothing was worth returning for. My check was about $30+ and it was really not worth it. If you are looking for food from a major fast food breakfast diner then go to Dennys, its a little better and a little cheaper, if you want some good omelets and pancakes I suggest local pancake houses.

Todd R.
Just like others have said, this place really sucked. We didn't have forks at our seat, and reminded the server about 3 times. We still didn't have forks when we were served our food. There was a receipt IN the eggs. The whole place seemed to have a very hostile, unpleasant atmosphere. Nobody should go here.
(1)
Ryan L.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I'd give this a 0 if I could. We were seated and we sat there for 20 minutes without anyone even coming to take our drink order. There was probably only a dozen other people in the entire restaurant besides us, so service that slow is unacceptable. We even went up to the waiting station and told someone that we'd been sitting there for so long. They kept walking by us tending to other tables and saying, "we'll be right with you." Eventually we just got up and left and went to the Chinese buffet down the street (which wasn't very good either, but atleast we got served.)

Reasonably priced. Wait wasn't too long. Beware, if you sit outside, it is noisy from traffic and WORSE, when the wind blows the wrong direction you get the wonderful aroma of Benihana's trash. Convenient from Hilton Hawaiian Village.

The most expensive thing ever, for blah ihop food. Go elsewhere!!

(3)Allen H.
(1)Tama'ra L.
We had excellent service! We had no problems with with any so called bad attitudes and one gal, Lita, went above her duties by helping us with some of the Islands attractions and found us some books. She remembered us the next day too and greeted us with a huge smile. The food was perfect and cooked just like our own IHOP back home.
(4)Jason C.
We came here for lunch on a Sunday. Service was super slow...food was so-so, not bad, but not great either. Save your time and money and go to McDonalds down the street.
(2)Sachie E.
(1)Cy K.
(1)Nancy D.
Terrible service. Extremely unorganized. Just walk a bit further and eat mcdonalds breakfast, sadly, you'll get better service there
(1)Tia S.
Sorry.
(2)Nike A.
(4)Cody S.
(1)Jeffrey C.
The main reason why I came here was because they claimed to have free internet which ended up not being accessible. That's a huge letdown as far as service is concerned. As for the food itself, it's really not that great despite being so close to Hilton Hawaiian Village. Also the prices are expensive for the quality of food that is provided.
(2)Liana S.
(1)Jennifer G.
Greeter was a little rude, sat down for about 40 mins saw other people get seated and received their drinks and waitresses right away. So we went next door to wailana. Wayyy better there!! One star because i cant give no stars lol
(1)Sonny C.
Very disappointed, the service was ok... The food tasted like it was cooked hours prior and reheated, but put into a microwave. Has browns were soggy and fruit was terrible. If it wasn't for the discount we were given, it would have been a total loss. I am prolly not coming back.
(2)Ahmed A.
The worst ihop restaurant i ever had. The service is the worst
(1)Lisa S.
(1)Kyle S.
(2)George R.
(1)Trina M.
I enjoyed it here!! My pancakes were amazing!!! I very much like it here There orange juice wad squeezed fresh!! Yummy! I couldn't be more pleased!! We had a waiter named Randy he was great!! Ask for him he is the best waiter in Hawaii! -Trina
(5)Clint T.
They are definitely going downhill. Orders weren't correct. Service was super slow. Keep your mind and eyes open for something local. It's got to be better than this IHOP.
(3)Wagner T.
Service was good but the prices are really high. Ordered French toast, what they brought me was 3 slices of wheat bread. Really?
(2)Claudia M.
We came here on a saturday morning around 0900. The wait for 3 ppl was only about 20 mins which wasnt to bad. Our waitress was very nice. She was courteous and funny to talk with. The food was delicious as well. (:
(4)Chuck W.
Not my favorite I HOP
(2)Sercan G.
Ordered two different things and we could not even identify if those were the same with what we ordered. They didn't look like in the pictures at all. We couldn't finish our plates too as nothing tasted good. Just a lot of butter. Also the place is so expensive! Better eat at hilton''s tropics bar.
(1)Jeff W.
(1)Kelly M.
Came here for breakfast and was shocked when the waiter brought my wife uncooked bacon and my hash browns and eggs were cold. They seemed unconcerned with my unpleasant visit so we will not be back!
(1)Kathryn P.
Food is good and friendly staff. Prices are decent. I ate here a lot a few years ago but this last week there were so many ants on the table and walls I just can't go back. It's a shame but a no go. I'll try Denny's next time.
(3)Twan B.
(4)Jason D.
Nice place - mostly typical IHOP that I'm used to. Walking distance to the condo I got in Hawaii. The only difference was their prices were Hawaii-style - $12 quick two egg breakfast. Breakfast for three turned into a $60 affair, but it's Hawaii what can you do?
(3)Rachel L.
Win win.
(5)Irene G.
(1)Johnelle P.
(4)Melonie T.
I do not recommend coming here. I ate here multiple times, but the last time was definitely a mood changer. I came order pancakes with strawberries and bananas, it was good until I got to the middle... It wasn't cooked! It ruined everything. Not coming here ever again.
(1)Kaori I.
I like their pancakes and crapes. I think it's much better than Egg'sn Things cause it tastes better and no line here!!

(5)Emily J.
I'm a bit embarrassed to say I ate at IHOP when there's so many local choices around, but when with your older sisters do what your older sisters want to do! It's an overpriced IHOP, I had sticker shock $14 for a pancake breakfast.
(3)Lynnette S.
Food was good & came out quick. Our waitress Roz was funny & had great suggestions! She made breakfast fun!
(4)S W.
ROACHES!! Disgusting, they tried to sit us at a table with a live roach. Server didn't even notice it when she put the menu down. Called the hostess over showed it to her. Needless to say we left immediately.
(1)S M.
I don't know why this place has so many negative reviews. We visited for breakfast and were seated right away. Our waitress was Roz. She was so friendly and helpful. You're lucky if you get Roz. The food was good, overall.
(5)Joe R.
Fun place to eat. Like style place which we don't see in Australia. Great variety big servings. Must try during your stay
(4)Erin B.
We went on a Saturday morning after a small wait (5 min max) we were seated and our order was taken promptly. We both had a waffle with a side of sausages. The food arrived piping hot. Service was fast. Food was delicious. No complaints what so ever.
(4)Marni P.
(5)Wesley S.
So far the best IHOP I've visited in Hawaii. Fast service, the food was great (except the meat was slight undercooked) other than that, I had an awesome experience. The parking was super far though and location is absolutely retarded. Only reason why I'm not giving five stars.
(4)J U.
Been here for breakfast twice this week! Great friendly service, very good large breakfasts. Reasonable prices. Love the staff from host, waitresses, and bussers-all were welcoming and definitely extended Aloha spirit. Good location near Hilton.

(1)Rita D.
(3)Krystal S.
(3)Nikita K.
Your typical IHOP, nothing to special, but they had a limited variety of pancakes relative to the IHOPs I have been to in California. I wouldn't get anything other than the pancakes and eggs though.
(3)Heather G.
(5)Kalimah S.
(2)Michelle S.
Fast, clean and dependable. My crepes were delicious, and my husband's omelet was delicious!

(1)Hannah P.
(4)Andrew C.
(1)Christy H.
(1)Ken R.

(1)C O.
Loved it! Nicest IHOP I've been to. I was reluctant to go bc the IHOP where I live is pretty dirty and shabby. But this one is bright and cheery, as is Jayson, love him! Food is IHOP food, generally too sweet for me but reasonable price and quality.
(4)Anonymous U.

(2)B. M.
(1)Jill B.
(1)Ax C.
(2)Quincey Q.
(3)Bobby And Estee F.
(5)Gspot H.
They only have bowls of soup. No cups. That's a good thang. Plenty of Seats and service was actually really good.
(3)Erik J.
Most expensive IHOP ever. Service was quick and fast. They were very helpful with my two little ones. Everything was good except the middles of our pancakes were still runny.
(2)J P.
(5)Brittany L.
(1)Michelle T.
We stayed at the Aqua Palms, so of course we went to IHOP for a quick breakfast bite. Not comparable to real breakfast food at diners, but doable for a chain restaurant.
(2)Amber W.
(4)Brooke M.
Total suckage at totally inflated prices.
(1)Mitchell F.
The Wailana Coffee House next to this IHOP was closed for the shooting of a Hawaii 5-0 scene. IHOP workers were giving out free 10% off coupons. The food was good, the service not so much.
(4)mary r.
(1)Chad L.
(2)Rachel M.
(1)Maja P.
(3)Cii H.
(1)T P.
While I didn't mind the pancakes the IHOP seems very under done. Sticky tables, poor wait staff and powdered eggs! Crazy!
(2)Mike D.
Waitress was barely available. Didn't refill water. I don't know what I should have expected. Pancakes pretty good. But sausage was expensive and tiny. Overall I thought it was expensive for what you got. Might as well get a really tasty breakfast for a little bit more at a buffett.
(2)Ed M.
Good luck!
(2)rob c.
(5)Julie D.
(1)Liz R.

I was here in 2009 and it was awful. In spring 2010 it was a different place. Breakfast was really good. They still hirie weird staff but whatever.

(3)Everett H.

(1)Yue D.

(1)Cheyanna H.
Although I have to say this ihop at night ia paticularly under-staffed, it was great. The manager, Shy, was great. I would recommend going. Plus, who doesn't like the fact that kids eat for free from 4pm-10pm.
(5)Patricia D.
Absolute worst service I have ever had. Two people doing seating, taking payments, and taking orders. Were "out" of several items we were going to order. Don't waste your time going there.
(1)Tastebud S.
(2)Nancy J.

Its hot and muggy in Hawaii.. you expect indoor restaurant to be cooler. Food was average, service was good, air conditioning needs improvement.

(1)Gregg R.
Eggs were cold and pancakes overdone. The topper was they ran out of silverware and gave us plastic. Worst breakfast experience I've ever had. If the waitress had not been so friendly and apologetic, we would have walked out.
(1)Gary T.
(2)marissa t.

Gotta love the 4.99 all U can eat pancake special this month of October.

(1)Darin S.
(1)kristen S.
Place was dirty waitress was completely inattentive. $13 for blueberry pancakes that were meh.
(1)n c.
(2)Dinah S.
(2)Daniel R.
Do you like your veggie omelette with overcooked broccoli and raw mushrooms? neither do I. What do you expect? It's Ihop.
(1)Jacqueline D.
(1)Kris C.
if only i can put NO STAR AT ALL, THIS IHOP place is not a good place to go to get a good breakfast! the SERVERs or maybe that server we had was not doing her job, it was such a TURN OFF!
(1)Margaret F.
Service was not as good as what I'm used to but food was good. Had the BTL with cheese on sourdough bread. Fruit was fresh!
(2)Jeremy D.
food is ok, service is TERRIBLE. So slow. long, draggy waits between refills. Took over 15 minutes to even take our order. No wonder none one is ever in here they don't pay attention to their customers or try to make the experience a nice lunch or dinner. This place is empty all the time for a reason
(2)Jeanette G.
(2)Ralph R.
(3)Josh L.
(3)Todd R.
(1)Ryan L.
(1)Narasim M.
Reasonably priced. Wait wasn't too long. Beware, if you sit outside, it is noisy from traffic and WORSE, when the wind blows the wrong direction you get the wonderful aroma of Benihana's trash. Convenient from Hilton Hawaiian Village.
(3)Nissa G.
The most expensive thing ever, for blah ihop food. Go elsewhere!!
(2)Shen N.
Out of this world prices & horrible service...my omelette looked more like a scramble and took my server 10 mins to get me extra napkins and fork! That's CRAZY!!!
