Looking for a great sushi place, well priced and super fresh, this is a must try it's definitely not what you would expect to find in a sushi restaurant. Your options aren't too shabby you have tempura your standard Japanese dishes and sushi I highly recommend at least once perfect stop before the movies.

Awesome service, very clean environment, delicious food! I love that it's near my house and so tasty!!
(5)Yolanda M.
Good stuff. Sushi rice is a little bland, but everything was still yummy and the server was FANTASTICALLY friendly and attentive. It's not the most amazing sushi I've had in the world, but it's the best I've had at this price point. So 4.5 stars is probably right on for what it is...casual sushi that doesn't break the bank.

This is a small place with only one waiter. My mom ordered the tempura maki and fried gyoza while I had the dragon maki. The guy was kind enough to give us some edamame before our gyoza came. The gyoza was amazing! So much flavor and you don't need any sauce. My mom commented that her tempura maki was cold - I think it might be because the tempura wasn't freshly fried like how it is at our usual place. My dragon maki was good too - nothing out of the ordinary. The only thing is that it took forever for my maki to come out from the kitchen. My mom was halfway through hers by the time I got mine. But the food tasted good and the waiter was really friendly.

I went here with a friend for lunch on a weekday. We went there early and beat the lunch crowd. The reason I know we beat the lunch crowd is because when we left it was pretty packed in there. There was a good selection on the menu but I always eat nigiri sushi. The waitress was very nice. Food came out in about 10 minutes and it was delicious and fresh. The rice was also seasoned just right. What I also like about this place is that it is clean. I like to eat in a clean restaurant.

I ordered the Avenger roll because multiple people raved about it, and I was disappointed. It was drenched and overwhelmed with sweet chili sauce. The fried potato topping on it was different. The potato topping was crispy when the roll first came out, but if you don't eat it right away, it becomes soggy quickly. The miso butterfish was just okay. I prefer charred caramelized butterfish skin. This one was slimy and the miso taste wasn't sweet enough. The tempura appeared to be the mass manufactured store bought one. This place is a bit overhyped, but at least the service was excellent.
(2)Cassie B.
So incredibly delicious. The tempura shrimp is the best I've ever had. The butterfish, sashimi and udon were also phenomenal. Service was excellent - attentive but not overbearing

Ginza sushi has become a go-to spot for my wife and I. We love their service, the owner is very welcoming and hospitable. Their rolls are great (I.e. Avenger roll, Jen's paradise, Beauty and Beast), and the price is very reasonable. My wife and I definitely recommend this place and we will continue to dine at Ginza Sushi.
(5)T. L.
The decor is really nice, food improved 200%. It's really now a nice place to eat. Food is great and the prices are fair. The combination plates are awesome and fish quality is also very good. I recommend this place.
(4)Jerica C.
Great service always makes the experience that much more memorable....affordable sushi & good location.

I had never been to Ginza sushi but I went with two people who had been there when Ginza Sushi was still Ninja Sushi and they had some pretty good things to say about it. One of the first things I have to mention is the owner, he's a really laid back guy who was cool with us grabbing dinner late, the way he put it was "We close when the last customer leaves". The food was really good and the best part was we got it wicked fast, the first sushi roll was out a few minutes after we had ordered and the donburi bowls shortly after. The food was top notch, the service was excellent. The only thing preventing me from giving this 5 stars was the price, it was a little pricier than what we were expecting (not including the tip) having gone to the Ninja sushi before. That being said, I'd still recommend Ginza to anyone looking for great sushi.
(4)Sheryl L.
We decided to try Ginza Sushi for the first time today and were not disappointed! We ordered California handrolls, shrimp tempura handrolls, and an unagi handroll -- all were delicious and average-priced. The man behind the counter was also extremely friendly, very welcoming, and provided great service. Although water for takeout was not free (25¢ or 50¢ depending on the size), he kindly offered me a glass of water to drink while we waited for our food. Also, there were free refills on soda. We will definitely be returning to Ginza Sushi and will probably make it one of our regular stops!
(5)Jenni M.
I gave it 5 stars because of how friendly the staff was, it just made eating there such a delight! I had the avengers roll and it was delicious! They were friendly and attentive, will definitely go back to see what else they have!
(5)Rob M.
Unbelievably slow and poor service. We ordered a few nigiri and maki rolls nothing crazy, there were only 2 other tables with people, it took over 45 minutes, we walked out before ever seeing our food. Waitress came out twice to say ours was up next but then the other tables got served before us even though they showed up after. Horrible.
(1)Mario G.
My family and I absolutely love this restaurant! We walked by after a late night movie screening and they were about to close. They stayed open a little while longer to allow us to eat. The food was amazing! The service was amazing! The establishment overall looked very clean and well maintained. Will definitely return to eat here again. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Let's face it. It's hard to find a Japanese restaurant with teishoku meals. There are a ton Japanese eateries that are sushi bars, izakayas, or yakiniku places, but teishoku offerings are becoming a dying breed. I'm not saying that I don't dig sushi and izakaya dining. That's quite the contrary, but there are times when I want a place where I can get a complete Japanese meal. I am so happy that I found such a place at Ginza Sushi! Now, I know what you're saying because the name sounds like a sushi bar, right? You can order sushi here and a lot of it. The choices here are endless and all look fabulous from fancy specialty rolls to traditional nigiri. You name it, they got it. However, I come here for the teishoku choices. You can have a two-choice teishoku meal by choosing from list A or B or one choice from each list. Or, you can choose one one their 3 item teishoku sets. Each teishoku meal comes with salad, miso soup, and a small appetizer (edamame and fried poke). The lists include hot or cold soba or udon, chicken karaage, mixed tempura, broiled salmon, chicken or beef teriyaki, tonkatsu, to name a few. The portions of each choice are generous, so you need a hearty appetite for the 3-item teishoku sets. I've been here twice thus far and enjoyed the food each time. The prices are reasonable and the location is hard to beat with plenty of parking at Ward Center or the parking deck across the street. I took my mom here for dinner recently and went shopping at Nordstrom Rack and Pier 1 Imports after we were done. This place is also great to take the kiddies to with a kid menu and outside dining. Yay for Ginza Sushi!
(4)Janell I.
Wow, this place is great! A nice small dinner with my sister after checking out The Wedding Cafe. Pros: * Lots of parking. The parking structure is a little tight but it's still very convenient. * Friendly service * Cozy atmosphere, ambiance * Delicious sushi with great variety * Not crowded at all (probably because it was a weeknight) * Clean and Organized place * Pretty good amount of space around you and your table, not packed in like sardines * Nicely garnished dishes I really enjoyed my time here, no cons on my first visit! This place has a great spot in Ward Village right across from Pier 1 Imports! Shopping and sushi, my favorite!
(5)Nat N.
The $9.95 lunch specials are an excellent deal. Available from 11-4 daily, choose between 10 different entrees. Each comes with rice (white or brown), 2 pieces of gyoza, and a salad. Your choices are: chicken teriyaki beef teriyaki spicy ahi mix tempura hamburger steak poke (shoyu or spicy mayo) chicken katsu chicken karaage tonkatsu fish katsu It arrives nicely prepared and presented in a lacquer bento box. Service is quick and very friendly. Tip: If you have a hearty appetite, you should consider ordering off the regular menu.
(5)Brandon S.
The former owners of the Ward Ninja Sushi has opened a new sushi eatery that's more of a sit-down style versus a take out establishment. As you can see from the menu there's a variety of choices and favors ready for you to indulge in. Create your own combos as teishokus. Order sushi sashimi combos or of course grab the Maki Sushi rolls. Recommend the Beauty & Beast as well as the Jen's Paradise roll! I work around the corner so it's good to have sushi that's affordable and delicious right around the corner and conveniently located in Ward Centre.
(4)Shar C.
Good sized portions, fresh cuts of fish, hamburger steak and butterfish are fabulous. My favorite is the Hamachi lovers special. One of our favorite local spots! Staff/owner very friendly and we love the atmosphere here.
(5)Grace L.
I've been meaning to try Ginza for a while, especially since the owners are the same folks who ran Ninja Sushi before. They were always very nice and hospitable when I came in to grab a few nigiri sushi before the movie. I'm really liking the Ginza set up since now the offerings include teishoku/bento type meals instead of just sushi. My boyfriend ordered the sashimi/salmon combo. That salmon was probably one of the best salmon dishes I've had at a restaurant! A lot of salmon that I've tried at Japanese restaurants tend to be a bit dry and bland but the one here was so moist and soft, it practically melted in my mouth. We also ordered a few sushi rolls to share. I can't remember exactly which ones since there are so many but both the ones we had were excellent! They're really loaded up with a variety of things, the one I had included salmon, hamachi, tuna, etc. I ate an entire roll by myself and that was good enough to be a full meal. The service is great and I will definitely be back soon!
(5)Shayla W.
After seeing the high reviews and cute decor, I wanted to check this place out. However on a Friday night, it was completely empty! Our server was really sweet! The menu has many choices from teshokus, sushi, and assorted entrees. With many choices to choose from, we decided to get the teshokus. (Comes with salad, miso soup, & an appetizer with soy beans and a small tofu agedashi. We also order the ume shiso temaki. It was gross! It was way too much ume and I love ume! Never again. I ordered the unagi & sashimi combo and my boyfriend ordered the broiled salmon & sashimi combo. The sashimi came with 3 pieces of ahi and 2 pieces of salmon. The cuts were absolutely fresh! Other than that food was okay. However the portions for the other items were so tiny compared to other places. It was quite disappointing.
(3)Sheila K.
I've been here twice, and both times disappointed in the food. The first time, I ordered a spicy ahi maki, and the pieces were very small and the nori tasted store bought. I thought it was just a fluke, so I tried eating here again and ordered a triple combo teishoku. The sashimi was fine, but everything else a disappointment. The teri beef was a very tough, thin-sliced, perhaps round steak, with the sauce almost having the consistency and flavor of gravy, and not teriyaki sauce. The tempura was two shrimp tempura and just a veggie pancake. For the price (around $21) I would expect maybe fresh tempura eggplant, pumpkin or green beans, etc. And the tempura batter seemed a bit "matted". There are no photos of the food on their menu, but that's probably better since the presentation of the food is not all that appetizing. Honestly, I wish I had gone elsewhere and paid just $2-3 more for a teishoku at a place like Gyotaku. I feel bad about giving this place such a low review, but I know they can do better, or at least go back to what they were originally. When it first opened it was called Ninja Sushi and I even saw the Ninja Sushi sign still there on the window. The sushi and other food items from Ninja Sushi are really top-notch. Bring back Ninja Sushi!!!

Ginza Sushi. Such a catchy name. It makes me think of the upscale, trendy district "Ginza" in Tokyo, Japan. Although it has that glitzy name, the food and ambience is definitely more laid back here. Kanpai! FOOD Their menu consists of teishoku meals, sushi, sashimi, donburis, udon, and salads. I was expecting Ninja Sushi quality to be coming out, but I was quite impressed with the CHEF'S SPECIAL SASHIMI and how fresh it was! The owner stated they get it fresh every morning. The VEGETABLE TEMPURA MAKI SUSHI had an amazing wasabi aioli sauce. The SPIDER MAKI SUSHI had soft shell crab and it had some spiciness, but I still prefer the later sauce. They do have KID FRIENDLY FOOD. We ordered the JUNIOR PLATE, a SPAM MUSUBI and Miso soup for the kids. They both ate it all. Totally happy when we find a restaurant where the whole family enjoyed the food. They also have beer, shochu, and sake available. Which also made us parents happy! Haha. ENVIRONMENT Located in Ward Center between Crazy shirts and Paina Cafe. The japanese lanterns strewn across the ceiling was warm and inviting. Wooden tables and chair/benches with colorful pillows. My toddler loved that. SERVICE So far exceptional service. Probably because we were the only ones there. But, there were many take out orders and the owner/waiter seemed genuinely friendly and patient with everyone. I just hope it will always have great service when it starts getting busy. CONCLUSION A splendid little non pretentious, Japanese restaurant to try when you're in the Ward area before or after a movie or just cruising in town. 4 stars because it was still a little pricey for me, but overall my family & I was very happy with everything else. I will definitely come back again, probably to try their teishoku meals for lunch.

They will sit a 3-4-5 party before they sit a one person ... To me that's ridiculous customer service ! Seating policy over fairness ? Since when do places cater to people based on the amount of persons in your party ?!!! I seriously can't believe this ... I'm sitting waiting for 10-15 mins while they took numerous parties ahead of me. Someone call the better business bureau !

New sushi place in town?! Oh boy..it was Ninja Sushi before. It was funny when my friend mentioned that they only changed two letters from their name. Switched the N to G, and the j to z. Never even noticed that but interesting. This place looks a little similar to Ninja but they did a little tuning for it I guess? It's more likely people can dine in with service instead of take out. Sushi is definitely more expensive. My friends and I decided to do a little restaurant hopping at ward, this was our first stop. So we looked at the menu outside the window. The sushi names are really creative. We decided to order Beauty and the Beast roll. It's spicy tuna and cucumber inside the roll and the top has salmon and avocado drizzled with spicy sauce. Each roll contains 8 pieces. 3 of us split and shared it. I thought the sushi was okay. It's nothing spectacular. I just liked that this roll has salmon, tuna, and avocado. My 3 favorite ingredients for a sushi. The sauce wasn't too salty or too spicy. The picture I posted didn't look too pretty because my friend accidentally smashed it while carrying it. Quite sad. Hahah

Ginza Sushi is the perfect place to eat when you wanna cure your sushi hunger pangs, but don't feel like going to a revolving sushi restaurant like its competitors (Kuru Kuru, Sushi Bay, Genki, etc.). My boyfriend, sister and I decided to try dine here on a Sunday. I'm familiar with the Ward Center area, and know that parking is extremely limited now that the parking lot in front of the movie theaters is no longer available. We decided to park in the structure where Nordstrom Rack and T.J. Maxx is. I suggest parking here as opposed to the structure where Ginza Sushi is actually located. There were plenty of seats around Noon. The restaurant has a nice, quaint feel, which I really liked. We were seated and given cups of water almost immediately. Free serving of edamame to start you off, too! I asked for the lunch menu because I saw on Yelp that they had lunch menus for less than $10. All three of us ordered chicken karaage bentos (chicken karaage, white/brown rice, tossed green salad, 2 pieces of fried gyoza). We shared an order of takoyaki and also ordered the Captain Crunch Roll (shrimp tempura, cucumber roll topped with tempura flakes) and a Garlic Crunch Roll - I don't know if that's the actual name - (shrimp tempura, cucumber roll topped with garlic chips. FRIED GARLIC CHIPS!) Both rolls were topped with their signature tereel sauce, which is a special blend of teri and unagi (eel) sauce. Everything was delicious. But I think what makes me look forward to eating at Ginza Sushi again is the SUPERB customer service! Our server was friendly, patient, and attentive. My boyfriend asked for ponzu sauce for his gyoza. Though they didn't have it ready made, our server was more than willing to make some. I can't think of any other sushi restaurant who would take the time to do something like that! Can't wait for the next experience. I hope they continue to keep their prices low.

My friends seem to love this place so my boyfriend and I decided to try it since he had a sushi craving hehehe it's a cute little dine in place and just feels kinda nice :3 my boyfriend thought it was like an Aloha Sushi place where you just place your order and take it to go so that's why he never really wanted to come here LOL wish we came a couple hours sooner so we could of gotten the lunch special! I think it was $10 lunch with different choices and they all come with rice, salad, and edamame? We'll remember that for next time x) We only decided to order one roll because dinner time was coming up and we didn't really want to be full. We got the Avengers roll (because of the name xD) and it was pretty good :oo I thought the sauce was too salty but the complimentary edamame helped bring it down :3 I wouldn't mind coming down here again but maybe during lunch because it's cheaper xD
(4)Jenny G.
Consistently great service here at Ginza Sushi. The owner (?) has a great personality which makes the overall environment of the restaurant so welcoming. Food is always beautiful, as well as delicious. And the prices are great for such high quality food! I tried some of the poke with spicy mayo... And the fish is SO fresh. It melts in your mouth. I definitely recommend everyone to try the poke at Ginza sushi. The quality and service cannot be beat by competitor sushi restaurants.
(5)Amy B.
While visiting Honolulu I wanted sushi and a local friend recommended this restaurant. Me and a friend decided to give it a shot. This is by far the best sushi I have every had. This place is a must!! Everything is fresh and tastes amazing!

I finally had the opportunity to check this place out! The Wait: Since I was only a few blocks from Ward and had Ginza Sushi bookmarked for several weeks now, I gave them a call and the kind female who answered the phone informed me there were many seats available so I said I would be there in a few minutes. Parking: I parked in the Ward Village parking structure (which I hate). It's cramped and usually packed, but on this Monday night it was fairly empty. Ginza Sushi: So upon arriving, there was only one server (I am assuming the young lady who answered the phone earlier) who sat us. There is an outside seating area as well as indoors, which I opted for because of the chilly A/C. The server asked what we'd like to drink and I responded "water will be fine" so she took our (cute!) hot tea cups away :( So I searched the menu for "hot tea" but it was no where to be found...was hot tea free? Did I say something wrong to get my (cute!) hot tea cup taken away??? Aw, I will try again next time. We ordered The Beauty & the beast, Captain Crunch, Jen's Paradise and Avengers which was more than enough for us, 2 females. The Avenger's roll was my FAVORITE, not that they weren't ALL delicious and reasonably priced! Each roll was fresh and beautifully presented. They didn't cut corners with the amount of fish/shrimp in the roll which was well proportioned with the rice. All this for a total of $39 pre-tax!!! You bet I took home left overs. Summary: Our dining experience was no longer than 1 hour, we didn't have to wait to be seated and the food arrived fairly quickly which makes Ginza Sushi a solid 4 stars in my book! Ginza Sushi, to me, is a combination of Sushi Spot (aiea) and Spicy Ahi & BBQ (pearl city). I will definitely be back...for the (cute!) hot tea....
(4)Kalei S.
This place sucks. Genki sushi isn't even real sushi but I would rather go there instead of here. FOOD: The spicy ahi donburi had NO TASTE. My boyfriend got the teishoku with the choices of chicken karaage and spicy ahi. The chicken karaage is the only reason why this place has a star. We also got the aloha maki and ginza special maki. Both were pretty horrible.. The ginza special was drenched in spicy sauce and the aloha maki was suppose to come with "seared salmon" but it was cooked all the way.. SERVICE: very slow. The lady was trying to explain to us how it was really slow yesterday and super busy today. Woman, we do not care just hurry up and take our order...... Definitely will not be returning.
(1)Camy A.
I've been following them from downtown till here at ward! The owners are a sweet couple making probably the best and freshest sushi rolls in town. Ive only tried their sushi and I can tell you the quality is there! It is so fresh! Another thing I like about them is their consistency! Every time I eat there it's always been delicious! Not once have I had a bad experience. Most places are not consistent in their service or quality of food. Thank you for always delivering a delicious meal !
(5)Victoria M.
Was craving sushi, so I stopped by to treat myself! The place used to be Ninja Sushi, but it's been remodeled and given a face lift. The service is IMPECCABLE, and so far the food is just spectacular. I love the ambience, and the earth tones. I ordered hot tea, the hamachi garlic nigiri, and the teriyaki beef donburi. They automatically bring you edamame, which is a nice touch. I will definitely be back here: it's a cute and classy little sushi place at amazing prices!
(5)Noreen L.
We live near by but never tried this restaurant until yesterday. Again, our pup was with us so we sat in outside seating. Atmosphere: Outside seating is on the sidewalk so you can imagine how noisy and dusty. Plus, all the people walking right by your table. We chose to sit here so cannot complain much but didn't like the fast you have to eat your food with exhaust gas from all the cars passing by. Service: The Korean lady was very pleasant. I didn't go inside so am not sure but it seemed like she was the only server there because the service was slow. We were not in a hurry so it didn't bother us. Food: As you may or may not know but this is the same restaurant as Ninja Sushi, which is a chain take out sushi place/company. So you cannot expect quality sushi. We ordered Agedashi Tofu but it was totally not authentic. Tempura was sad (it wasn't even Tempura, was more like Katsu). If you want' to eat decent sushi, don't go there. If you don't mind take out quality sushi, this place might be okay. Price: Absolutely over priced. For the poor quality combo teishoku, $26 is ridiculously expensive. You can eat much better food at Gyotaku for much cheaper price. Overall: We might go back just to try their specialty roll sushi but it's not going to be anytime soon. I love the fact the Korean lady was nice to our pup.
(2)Alina S.
All the food we tried today was OISHII! Surroundings were very clean. Both the sushi and the bento box had a nice presentation. I love how they had pillows on the seats so customers can eat comfortably. The owner was nice and very funny! This place is good for sushi lovers because of the great prices! If you are craving for sushi, you should try the captain crunch! I liked that crunch from the tempura and had a light spicy kick to it!
(5)Diana L.
$25 for a sushi/sashimi combo?? You really can't go wrong with that! 9 pieces of sashimi surrounded by 9 pieces of sushi. That'll fill you up! $8 for 2 piece uni nigiri?? Sold. Ginza Sushi is located in Ward Villages, where Ninja Sushi used to be. It's a dine-in establishment now, but you can easily take-out too. You can call ahead for reservations, if you want to be safe. But I went around 730 on a Saturday night and quickly got seated. Parking is always free around Ward, the trick is finding it during peak hours. If you decide to stop by, you must try the Avenger Roll. Oishii! It's reminiscent of the Ninja Sushi style, with their rolls and sauces drizzled on top. Hey, it's still delicious! They've got a whole menu of rolls I haven't tried yet. They've also got a lunch special, donburi's, and appetizers. Bonus: the owner will come out and take pictures of you with your sushi for the Ginza Sushi Instagram account. :) Don't forget to smile! Cause the price you're paying for the sushi you're getting just can't be beat! Enjoy!
(4)Anthony S.
Ginza is a good hot spot. When i walked in i was greeted right away. The price for this place is average. When it comes to sushi and price it's based off your appetite. I will keep eating there. I have ordered 2 rolls. i got the "beauty and the beast" and "jen's paradise". every time i ask myself or people with me "would you order that again?" it is a Strong Yes!! i would order it again!!
(4)Laura G.
I came here when it was Ninja Sushi & it's the same owner. When it was Ninja the owner was so nice to my friend & I. We were loud, but everything was so good & fast. We went to eat there & Ninja was gone! We eventually said we'll just try this "ginza" place & it was the same guy!! I assume it's his wife that's the waitress & she was so nice. This place has alcohol, freaking awesome! I came with my boyfriend cause I wanted to show him this great sushi place & he loved it! The owner & his wife are so nice. Super good food too, so tasty. If I had a bigger belly I'd order more. I wish there were pictures of the food to make it easier to choose, but anything with garlic chips I will get!!! I have to say it's practically like Doraku without the crowd. Especially if you don't care for mixed drinks
(5)Raymart C.
One word: delectable! I thoroughly enjoyed this place! You can call ahead to have reserve. We called ahead 15 minutes before we arrived and they gladly took down our name and told us that our table would be ready when we got there. Parking is in the Ward shopping center structure right next Kakaako kitchen. This restaurant is right across of pier 1 and next to crazy shirts. When we came in, we were greeted by I'm assuming the boss, and directed us to our table that had a "reserved for Ray party of 4" sign. We came around lunch time and surprisingly it was pretty empty (mostly I think because this place just recently opened up and hasn't gotten that much publicity). We sat and was immediately given menus and our drink orders were taken. After we received our drinks and ordered our meals, the waitress came back with "complimentary appetizers" *bonus*, it was a small piece of tofu and about a handful of edamame (it was small, but was a good starter). Our sushi was very good( ordered the captain crunch roll 8pcs a must try!, omakase set-5of their best nigiri, and teri chicken combo), it tasted fresh and the flavors weren't overwhelming. I wouldn't mind coming here every time for sushi!!! I really appreciated their customer service it was very personable. Made sure to check up on us every so often. And when we left they even addressed by our name (as a customer, I was impressed they still remembered my name) Good job ginza!
(5)Leimomi C.
Genki's had a 45 minute wait on a Saturday night. I wanted sushi so we walking around and found Ginza Sushi. They were not busy at all maybe 3-4 other parties besides the 2 of us. Very cozy and romantic! It took them awhile to bring us some water. But their customer service made me forget how annoyed I was about our wait for our drinks. Great customer service! I'd definitely come back!
(4)Sara K.
The sushi preparation has an attention to detail using the highest quality ingredients that makes it my favorite sushi restaurant in the area. The poke topped salad's fish was buttery and delicious, paired with a wonderful house made ginger and citrus dressing. Their house specialty roll, ginza, also topped with poke was delicious. The cups used to serve the hot black sesame tea were adorable. The newly renovated interior makes a relaxing experience. I noticed a counter around the corner for this quick to-go type nights. The server, and owner, is sweet and engaging, making for a happy lunch or dinner experience. Visit this new sushi restaurant for a great meal!
(5)Preston V.
One of the best affordable sushi places on Oahu. My girlfriend and I were originally planning to go to a more authentic sushi restaurant but the local twist to the sushi drew us in. We shared the Aloha (salmon) and the Avenger (tuna) sushi rolls and couldn't decide which one we liked better. The chef was nice and friendly and drew a smiley face in the sauce drizzled on the plate. Can't wait to go back again!
(4)Andrea O.
Our first time here. The service was excellent, the restaurant is clean and the sushi is incredibly fresh. If you want great food at an excellent value, this is the place. We are definitely coming back again. Our family of four ordered the hot soba and tempura, NBious maki, the spicy ahi poke bowl and the ahi combo nigiri sushi set. We enjoyed all of them.

came here on Tuesday after we had an unlucky time at the movies trying to get into a 7:45pm showing of Jurassic World. We changed our movie to the 9:45 showing and since we had a lot of time to kill decided to find a place to eat. I wasn't super hungry, but sushi always sounds good. plus it was still near the theaters so we could make it back there in time to guarantee we would have seats (don't go on a Tuesday its not too pleasant. lol) anyways Ginza was not crowded at all. there were maybe 6 tables that were occupied, but only 1 waitress. when we sat down she apologized that she was the only one and it might be a while. that got me a little worried. we looked at the menu and knew what we wanted so when she came back we put our order in to save any time. my boyfriend usually orders a ton of food but we always finish it. lol. apps: edamame, and miso soups drinks: water and hot tea (so good, has a roasted flavor plus those little cups are too cute!!) sushi: avo hosomaki, and cucumber/ume hosomaki, salmon lover sushi set, and Hamachi sashimi I believe. despite the slow service when the food came everything was good! and we made it back to the theater to get a seat for the show....which was still packed!!

New tenshioku sushi style dinner. It's the same location of ninja sushi that was here prior. Nicely renovated compare to the old place. Seating is a little tight but since it is not so crowded it wasn't too bad. Had the avengers roll which was not bad. However the unagi tenshioku was average, a little fishy taste to it. Wait staff was friendly and cleanliness was a plus. Thus pushed it up to a 4 star.

One of my favorites, the owner is very friendly, great customer service, very clean, the quality of the food is outstanding. When I am in Honolulu I always stop here for the Avenger Roll 3-4 times over a two week period. Highly recommended

Great service! Great food! Great place! We ordered the Ginza Special, the Rainbow, Hurricane and Captain Crunch. The Maki Sushi has 8 pieces per roll. So much food and outstanding service. We were very well cared for by the waiter. The only reason I would rate it 5 stars is because we don't think that the Rainbow Roll was all that great. However, we left very happy and full! Highly recommend stopping through. You have to try the Ginza Special, it was delicious.

First time trying this place out. The customer service was awesome, while placing our order I had asked our waiter if they sold Agedashi Tofu because I didn't see it on their menu ー he tells me he could make it for me even if it's not on their menu! How awesome is that? When he brought out the Agedashi tofu it looked so good, and it tasted amazzzzing. I was so impressed by him going out of his way to make that for us. We also ordered, the spicy ahi donburi, caption crunch, garlic salmon. It sure did fill our stomach fast. I would not mind coming back here.
