Due to great reviews I decided to try it out! I am already thinking of my next trip here and what to order. I ordered the powerhouse and field of dreams and they did not disappoint. The only downfall is the parking. Had to find parking somewhere but the quality of food and service was worth it!! Thanks so much I'll see you again. Aloha!!

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Friendly staff and happy faces. Delicious pizza and juices. I always know its a great food joint when owners and staff make an effort to remember customers names. The pizza is delicious. I'm not a huge fan of hummus but that hummus pizza with pears was super duper good. And the juice was a boost of energy. Definitely a new hot spot in Downtown.

Would be 5 stars if it was slightly cheaper. The overhead of such a great location is probably to blame for the inflated prices. That being said, I happily pay up, the service and fresh juices are phenomenal.

Today was my first time finding and trying this place. The service was awesome, very friendly workers who helped me make a decision on what to get. I'm currently on a detox/cleanse and wanted a juice but didn't know what to get. They made awesome recommendations and I really enjoyed my "The Red Wedding" juice. Everything was fresh! Their location is a little hard to find, but definitely worth the hunt! I'll be back there soon.

So it's Friday around 2pm. I've been slaving at work all say and just realized I didn't eat lunch yet. Working in downtown, around 2pm choices started to get limited and probably aren't the healthiest of places. So in my hunger/tired state, I'm trying to find something healthy. And in front of me appears Extract Juice Bar. Honestly it was the orange paint they use on the inside that caught my eye. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Mike, even though he was wrapping up with another customer. As soon as he was done, he asked if i was new to juicing and I said yes. He explained the benefits and made recommendations. I went with the leaf, consisting of spinach, apple, ginger, parsley, celery and lime. It was delicious! Also got the vegg-out pita pizza, came with hummus, cucumber, tomato and sprouts. Talk about a healthy lunch! I'm glad this place opened - great way to recharge while in the daily grind. Will be back for sure!

My usual workday at HPU starts off at 8am with an iced coffee purchased somewhere on Fort Street. But this morning, after seeing reviews of this place on Yelp, I decided to give it a try, and trade in my usual coffee for fresh juice. I'm so glad I did! The unintimidating and elaborate menu allows you to know exactly what each juice contains. However, the two friendly owners didn't mind helping me choose one. I told them I can't stand celery at all, and that I'd prefer something on the sweeter side. They suggested I try out the "Powerhouse" - containing broc, strawberry, spinach, blueberry and pineapple. It's absoultey delicious - perfect combination for people like me who aren't into the "salad" flavor. For $7 I'd say it's worth it. I'd rather spend my money on something that's pure and natural - none of that artifical and excess sugar stuff from the leading smoothie establishments. They also have smoothies and pita pizzas. I read a sign that they offer a juice + pizza combo for only $12! Great lunch deal. Extract Juice Bar is located in the same plaza with Jack in the Box, Umeke Market, Cookie corner, etc. It's really easy to find. There isn't parking available - you'd have to park in a structure or find street parking. Give it a try!

Super yummy and healthy. Love how nice and knowledgable the staff is too. Being able to customize your juice for no extra charge is a plus as well. I definitely recommend Extract to anyone that wants to eat good, healthy food :)
(5)V M.
Thank god a serious juice bar opened up in town! I love being able to get a veggie drink with little to no sugar in it, without fake sweeteners, without "pear juice and apple juice" concentrates upping the sugars. The owner, Dave, is super nice and friendly, and totally willing to let you modify or create your own juice. I like to get Kale, Spinach, Extra Ginger, Cucumber, and Carrot. Looks like upchuck, but it's soooo yummy and so good for me! Next time I think I might have him throw some jalepeno in there - zing! Go get a juice. It'll be awesome.
(5)Erika F.
By far the best juice bar on oahu. On my way to work I have to stop by Extract Juice Bar to grab myself a "powerhouse", it has all the right ingredients to make me feel great in the mornings!! everything they have here is so fresh and tasty and to top it off, the employees are so nice and welcoming.
(5)Tessa t.
Whoa. Ever wanted to feel healthy and fresh and was like ,"naw...that takes too much time and effort..." Well, not anymore! Grab a drink from here and by the time you take your last sip you'll feel like you've been cleansing all damn week! Yeah sure it's $7 a pop, but it's worth it! I don't even drink coffee anymore! I just grab a Pineapple Express and I'm good all day! Unfortunately that's the only one I've tried so far...but it's bomb! I highly recommend skipping your daily dose of Starbucks and grab one of these instead. In this busy life we have...let's take some time to juice. :) #healthyliving #tryingIT
(5)Nicole G.
This place is awesome! Not only are the juices amazing but the workers are too! They have the customers best interest in mind and are very helpful. They will even let you add extra veggies to your drink for no additional charge! You can tell they must really love their jobs because you can taste the love in the juices made by the Extract team!
(5)Justine T.
This place is a little hard to find and well it's downtown so parking sucks... but it's worth it! The man working, I think his name is Dave, was super friendly and cheery even at 6 something in the morning! This was my first time here and at any juice bar so it was nice that he was so helpful. He asked the type of flavors and stuff I like so we could figure out which drink would be good for me. He also added ginger to my drink (free of charge) for extra energy since I told him I normally drink coffee in the morning. I decided to also try one of their Pizza Pitas... I got the Field of Dreams since it's my breakfast. It was delicious and I highly recommend it!! They had a drink & pizza special for $12 I think regular would be $14 since both are $7 each. My first experience was great so I'm definitely planning on going back again!!

I've heard of this place from a couple friends, and hadn't made the jaunt over myself. Then another friend today said he'd be there if I wanted to join him. I'm so glad I did. He had me try a drink called the Weed Whacker which I'd have never ordered, just because it had Kale and Celery in it. I have to say, I was really impressed with the flavor, and I'm sold. I also ordered something with Gin in the name, because, we'll I was hoping it had real Gin, but it was just Ginger. lol, again, very tasty. The Gin concoction had Apples and Carrots as well, and I commented to the gentleman making the drinks that I hadn't seen carrots that big in a long time - I know, sounds odd - but hey, they WERE big carrots! Anyway, he said they get them from a farmers market out passed Hawaii Kai. So these guys are going out to Waimanalo to get carrots?! That's just awesome, and that makes these drinks completely worth the $7 a cup. I have no complaints on the price, you get a nice conversation with the juice man, and get to see what he's putting in your drink. I'll definitely be back again soon.

Downtown Honolulu is really stepping up its health game with the addition of Extract Juice Bar into the mix. Located in Bishop Square near Cookie Corner and Harpo's, Extract Juice Bar stands out as one of the healthiest options available for downtownies looking for a quick lunch or juice that satisfies without that added dose of guilt that comes sprinkled on Jack In The Box fries. After a quick glance at the menu, I knew I would be back soon to try the various options. I went with a Yelp-tested favorite for my first time: The Leaf. Not too keen on celery (Is it just me or does celery's potency magnify in juice form?!), the friendly staff suggested I sub in cucumber instead. GREAT idea! My juice was a perfect combination of zingy and refreshing! Aside from juices, Extract offers smoothies and Pita Pizzas. Everything is an even $7, so there's no fumbling around for extra change. The customer service here is TERRIFIC! I often find that juice bars or health bars have bouge-y employees and patrons *cough Blue Tree Cafe cough*, but I felt very comfortable and invited here! I'll be back soon!
(5)Nicole M.
Great place for a healthy pick me up! The workers are very knowledgeable about what qualities different drinks offer and its nice how they show you everything thats actually packed into your drink, pretty amazing. Everything is really tasty! I did a clease once, it was great and actually tasted good too!
(5)Cyn C.
I love this place! It's about time that we have a real juice bar in Downtown... none of the processed juices used as a filler like what you would find at Jamba Juice. My favorite is "The Leaf" which contains lime, apple, ginger, celery, spinach, and parsley. Surprising since my whole life, I couldn't stand celery or ginger. The juice is so yummy. They also customize it to your liking, so if you want extra ginger just ask. I also love the pizzas, it's all good but my fave is Vegg-Out. Mike, the owner is awesome and David runs the place with Jeremy. All nice guys! I believe they try to buy organic if possible, I hope that's still true as they have a crazy volume of business now. And with any store, I hope they wash it well since you never know what's on your food nowadays. They go through a lot of food waste from the juicing, so if you know anyone with worm bins, chickens, etc., bring a bag and help them reuse / recycle the scraps. My only thing is I think they should put more of an emphasis on being environmentally conscious as that would be a perfect fit for a juice bar. For example, bring your own container, using paper plates if you are eating right outside instead of styrofoam or plastic take out containers, etc. Definitely recommend this place and bring a friend!
(5)Andie P.
Been here 3 times already this week and I love this place! Their juices taste so fresh and the combination of the different fruits and veggies are wonderful. The staff is supernice and welcoming. Also tried one of the trail mix snacks they sell and it was a perfect for a in-between-classes snack.
(5)Kelly W.
Went to Extract for the first time today. I had the Powerhouse. It was delicious. Service is awesome to. I'll be a regular! They make eating healthy easy.
(5)Jamie M.
So I have been frequenting this place a bit more since noticing that the unpleasant worker no longer works there. And I have to say I almost feel guilty that I left that two-star review, as I have had really positive experiences since said person's departure. Dave even apologized for my experience, although it totally was not his fault. I am, therefore, updating my review to reflect the wonderful customer service that I have since been receiving from Dave and the other workers there. They are a real joy to talk with while I'm waiting for my order, and they are quite simply considerate people. For instance, they have added extra ginger and/or orange to my juice when observing that I was feeling under the weather. I even got a complimentary pita when I ordered a juice like every single day for a week. These were all things that were not necessary but were definitely appreciated. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place, and I will continue to come here. You should too!

I'm interested in doing a juice cleanse. I did my first one last month, and I felt better, lighter, healthier... but also I was crankier (hubby will deny this because he is smart) because I wanted to eat... but 3 out of 4 positives aren't so bad?... I'm just coming back from a vacation filled with fried heavenly delights (I was in Disneyland for the 60th Anniversary Celebration - I needed to eat all the new, limited diamond celebration foods they introduced for this epic occasion), but now I am feeling the repercussions that follow -- enter sluggish lethargy... am I wearing a fat suit?.. get it off me! So, I have been looking up some juice cleanse options and came to Extract for more info. They offer 3, 5, & 7 day raw food cleanses = you eat in conjunction with consuming juices... it's not just juice. This is interesting to me. It is not cheap. The raw food cleanse will run you $180, $300, $420 respectively. Also, to note, the juice is NOT cold-pressed here. I am eager to return to my normal self, so I was going to splurge on the 3 day... but you need to stop by in the morning to pick up your daily juices/snack... this would be great if I lived/worked in the area, but I don't. And the most he could give me was two days... then the juice loses its goodness. We wouldn't want that... that's what I'm forking over $60/day for... that's more than what I spend on food/day. Oh well, off to another place... but not before I grab a juice to try. I ask what the healthiest drink is... I love greens and not too fruity. They suggest the Weed Whacker (spinach, kale, cucumber, celery, cabbage, lemon). I like a little sweet and a little heat, so Ms. Tash suggests a little pineapple/apple/ginger.... customized just for me! The juice is $7... again not cheap, but I saw how much veggies they threw in the juicer, and that's what it might have cost me if I bought it at Whole Foods. ** Bonus - they don't charge extra for the additions!!! The end result was so delish, I had to pry it out of my 4 year old's fingers to have a sip. Could be worse... my mini's could hate anything green... but instead, they love it... just like their mommy! Ps - I love celery... it's a very pronounced flavor in this weed whacker, so celery-haters beware. If only parking wasn't a pain and I had a reason to be downtown ... then I would come by and get my Extract on more frquently... Tash - thanks for being so pleasant, accommodating and suggesting what is now my, and my mini's, "go-to" drink there.

I used to love coming here even though it's pretty pricey. Although if you look how much actually goes into each drink I suppose it's really not that bad. The owners were always so friendly and would customize your drink if you asked. Last time I came here it was a little busy which was fine. But my drink took forever. I used practically half my lunch break waiting there even though there was only four or five people ahead of me. I should've known better though. Probably not a good idea to come here when you're in a rush. That's not what deterred me though. It was the way the juicer was acting. It was unprofessional. You know how some people that don't really have a filter say stuff and some of the things they say are questionable? Yeah, it was like that. It kind of caught me off guard. It's not to take away from the quality of their juices. It's still delicious. But minus one star for the unprofessional customer service.
(4)Ashly M.
I have to say walking into a place at 6:15am greeted by my name and with a smile is extremely refreshing! Almost as refreshing as their drinks. So far I've tried the power house and a few "surprise me's", and I have not been disappointed! The juices here taste amazing! I couldn't believe it to be honest, I started doing my own juicing about a year ago and thought mine were alright...uh no. Mine suck. Let's just say juicer will probably collecting dust. I've also tried their little baggies of snacks(banana chips, chocolate morsels and peanuts) which are a perfect mix to munch on when I need to add some crunch to my day. Not comparing to other juicing places but to everywhere in general, you cannot find the amazing customer service like you will find at Extract!
(5)Beth I.
In an effort to add more fruits and veggies to my diet and decrease toxins and other junk food, I've been going to extract regularly. Fairly new to juicing, I was surprised that delicious combinations of raw veggies and fruits can be so satisfying. I've tried nearly everything on the menu and also done the 3-day cleanse which was fantastic and worth the money. I will definitely do that several times a year. I did the raw juice cleanse to reset and detox after the holidays and it was a great experience. Each morning six juices, a packet of tea, and trail mix were ready to pick up in a cooler bag by 6am. Then just pace yourself on the juices throughout the day for a balanced cleanse. I not only felt energized, light, and healthy, I was surprisingly not hungry or irritable. I felt great! I'm not a huge fan of raw ginger (although i know it's really good for you), so two of the green juices in the pack were less than favorites, but still enjoyable enough to get down the hatch easily. On two of the days, I couldn't even drink the last juice as I was full and tired by 9pm. What a great way to reset and refresh yourself. Treat your body to a break from processed food! Watch for their sales when you can save significant money on the cleanses. I'm certainly a fan of the juice and staff and when I can, I head over to extract for a great meal replacement.

People aren't kidding when they rate this place 5 stars. This is a joke free zone my friends! Now that my office is located in the heart of downtown, it's really hard to find a healthy choice for lunch or a place that's still open after 2pm, but extract juice is just that place. They offer a wide range of fruit & vegetable juices and smoothies too. Not thirsty? No worries, they offer flat bread pizzas served on nann. My favorite pizza? Peanut butter, raisins, bananas, topped with walnuts instead of sunflower seeds would make Elvis giddy for days. Their super friendly and attentive staff adjust anything you need to your liking. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
(5)Lily N.
This was my first time coming here and I'm a huge health freak so considering this place sells vegetable juices fresh I HAD to try it out . The guy working was SUPER nice and he helped me pick out the healthiest juice and he was honest that even though the weed whacker may not be delicious it was really really good for you . So I decided to get that one and add beets and ginger into it and he even added some pear in for us so that it wouldn't be so hard to drink (which I thought was very generous of him) all juices are $7 and come in a medium sized cup . He juiced our veggies right in front of us . I thought the place was decorated very nicely and they even have these papers on the front that explain the health benefits of each veggie which I thought was really cool ! They also sell pita pizzas and smoothies here but they have a really good business model going on here and they deserve a 5 star . They made me feel very welcome and the juice was not bad at all either I actually really liked the juice . Definitely coming back !
(5)Shay F.
Super friendly staff who just want to serve you a juice that is healthy and good for you. You pick the juice that you want and they'll juice is right in front of you. After you take your first sip, they'll on to you asking if you like it. If you don't, they'll gladly make another for you.
(4)Aline T.
Located in the same area as Jack in the Box and Umeke Market. Two guys are super friendly. You can see the fruits and veggies going into your drink. Drinks are satisfying. If you don't like something, tell them, and they will fix it. One customer said the ginger was too strong and they offered to add in more apple juice. "...I'll be back."
(4)Joey K.
I'm not new to the concept of fresh juice. I am however new to the fresh juicing in this style. The healthy blends that serve a purpose. I was looking for a juice bar near my office downtown. I kept coming across this other juice place that isn't really juice. You know what I'm talking about. So anyway, I decided to come to Yelp, which I should always do in the first place. I discovered Extract. This is a newer place and the reviews were all raving. So I decided to check it out. The first thing I want to say, is David was awesome. (Someone else called him Dave but I swear he introduced himself as David.) I gather he's the owner. He was super energetic, really friendly, and just downright a nice guy. I browed the menu here on Yelp, so I had time to weigh my options. I love almost all fruits and veggies, but I wanted some time to see what stuck out to me the most. I decided on The Leaf. Delicious. I really don't know what else to say. Most people would be turned off by the ingredients and the final product. It's a green drink. I thought it looked amazing. Spinach, Apple, Ginger, Parsley, Celery & Lime. I was really very surprised at how good that juice was. I knew I was hooked. I stopped in again this morning. Bonus points to David for remembering my name. This morning, I chose the Morning Doodle. Kale, Apple, Carrot, Grape & Lemon. Tastebuds on overload! I didn't think it could get better. I mean, the juice is delicious, but I thought everything would be on the same level of flavor. All delicious. But seriously, as much as I liked The Leaf, the Morning Doodle was better. And it was this rich orange color and I kind of loved that. Walking to my office, I kept thinking, "Yeah, look at my orange drink. You're jealous!" I could seriously ramble on and on about what a great little spot this is and how every juice bar in America should be this amazing. But all I can say is check it for yourself. Oh, another upside. Everything on the menu is $7. That simple!!! See you again soon!
(5)Kelly M.
Had a $7 juice. It was really good. I felt like I was being really heathy, but it was gone so fast. Left me feeling mournful wishing for more.
(3)Mich W.
I tried The Leaf today...first time to this place! Love it! Gave me the boost I needed in the afternoon. Will definitely be back!
(4)Stephanie T.
I had heard rumors about this place and was interested in trying it so on one of my many downtown foodie adventures (aka my lunch break away from my desk). I ventured out to get some fresh juice. My friend and I were cheerfully greeted by the two guys working behind the counter. They were very helpful with figuring out what juice to try as I was hesitant since I had already drank my kale smoothie that morning from home. I ended up choosing The Leaf which was quite tasty but definitely too gingery for me. It took me almost 3 hours to drink the whole thing because the ginger was to strong. I cant wait to go back to try more of their menu items, but its definitely a once in a while thing since everything is $7.
(4)jesus c.
Great juices when your too lazy to make them yourself. Plus who likes cleaning juicers anyway. The great part is they can make whatever you want off the menu. And they are open early- since you should be drinking juice on an empty belly. Delicious!
(5)Bev Z.
My friend kept raving about this place and brought me here to try it out. I was kinda hesitant to order anything when I read the menu choices. Hmm....veggies and fruits together = juice. So I decided to try the Powerhouse. Wow! It was soooo goood! I kept taking mini sips to try and make the juice last throughout my morning. Service was very good too. I will definitely be back here again when I'm in downtown.
(5)Kristin I.
Oh my gosh a Juice Bar downtown! So glad my friend found this place! I just got the Power house and it is so delicious!! this one is sweet, if you like sweet. I can't wait to come back and try more juices and smoothies. And i definitely want to try the cleanse process. They have pizza, juices and smoothies. Everything on the Menu is $7. The people working are friendly and very welcoming, probably the owners. Definitely a must if you love fresh juice but are too lazy to make it.
(5)Diane K.
When I was living in California, I was an avid juicer. However, since relocating back to Hawaii, I haven't been able to find a convenient (& cost-effective) spot to buy organic produce and the humidity makes the thought of brushing my Breville parts excruciating (okay, okay, I'm a lazy BEAST...). I've noticed so many changes since I stopped juicing. Horrible, life-altering changes that sparked a quest to find a solution! ...to find a juice bar! Having a regular regimen of veggie intake makes me crave less crappy foods. One serving of juice fills me up nicely. I try to have smaller meals throughout the day and a Weed Whacker keeps me more full than eating a sandwich. I have more energy (add a bit of ginger) throughout the day and require less caffeine. The Leaf is also a great choice, but I like my juices packed with veggies and the Weed Whacker has the perfect combination of my favorites. GREAT spot for people who want a fresh boost without the work.
(5)Angela M.
I spied this lovely little place on the way to my dentist's office. I love green juice. Love. It. If a green juice place is anywhere near me, I will buy one. It's the secret to my incredibly youthful appearance when I am, in actuality, 83 years old. The workers (and by workers I mean the owner, Mike, who is a delight and the woman, I don't know her name, who is also a delight) are super friendly and greet you with sincere enthusiasm and cheeriness. They also have tattoos. Important? No. But I love tattoos. I love green juice AND tattoos, how do I not live in this place? If you are considering a serious veggie laden super green juice but are afraid it will have undesirable effects, like make you vomit, they will be happy to add half an apple for your weak little self. However, you'll find (and I'm guessing this as I'm not weak and would never add half an apple cause I'm afraid of juice. Right? Ridiculous. I never.) that a half an apple is not really necessary as they combine greens and lemon in a magical, tasty way. They also offer some thorough juice cleanses, and if I worked downtown every day I would consider doing one. Alas, I spend most days at home, lounging lazily on my velvet couch eating grapes and bits of cheese as all stay-at-home mothers do. Another note, don't talk to them while they're juicing. They can't hear you unless you yell. So if you want to ask about tattoos or hometowns or express how hot you think Mike is, wait until he has turned the machine off. That last part? Useful.

Clean place, healthy drinks.

Ahhh I am just so happy to have discovered this place!!! Now I can buy freshly made REAL juice when I am at work!! When I tasted the Weed Whacker juice made with kale, celery, cucumber, lemon and a few other healthy ingredients, I KNEW it was real juice. I have been making juice from home for over a year on a consistent basis using my Omega 8006 ('cos I'm all about that #juicelife) and it is a time consuming process. First you go shopping at the Farmers Market for fresh greens and fruits, then you're washing all the greens and vegetables prior to use, chopping everything up to fit the juicer, juicing it all, cleaning the juicer afterwards, etc. It can be a little overwhelming! Now on the days that I just don't wake up early enough to make my real juice I can make a visit to Extract and buy some from them knowing that I will get the exact kind of quality I like!! The pita-pizza's are delicious, I love the Hummdinger one so far, and want to try them all. I love that this place is vegetarian. And local. On my first visit the guy making my juice, Jeremy, introduced himself to me and he told me I could add anything to my juice or customize my juice in any way and the price would always be $7. Wow, that is awesome! People who drink real juice are happy, friendly, people... Now I don't have to worry about that 3 p.m. overwhelming tiredness and total shut down of my body while it digests my lunch because all the raw enzymes in that juice I just had will be taking care of it themselves... I am definitely going to be visiting here... A LOT... from now on.
(5)Natalie P.
Located in the heart of downtown this place is perfect for the fit health freak or simply someone trying to get a taste of the good life. The SERVICE here is great, the guys are really chill and down to earth. The JUICES I've tried from most favorite to least favorite: 1. THE LEAF (spinach, apple, ginger, parsley, celery, lime): For being a very green veggie-filled drink you'd think it'd be yucky...totally not the case, it's like magic. Somehow with every sip, you can taste the individual ingredients, with the apple contributing the perfect sweetness to the mix. 2. POWERHOUSE (broccoli, strawberry, spinach, blueberry and apple): This is the sweetest juice they have, given it's made up of mainly fruits, it is supper delicious. 3. MORNING DOODLE (carrot, kale, apple, grape, lemon): Right below powerhouse power house as far as sweetness goes. 4. CARROT TOP (carrot, apple, ginger): Supper carrot infused I also added spinach and kale to this drink which I think threw off the taste a little, it was still good though. The COST per juice is $7 and you can either add or remove items all for the same price. They also have a combo for $12 which includes pita pizza+ Juice. This place is just amazing, and is supper convenient to have around during those weeks where I really want to watch my food intake!

So ever since starting Brazillian Jiu Jitsu I've felt a need to not just watch how I work out, but also what I put in. Everyone says "your body is a temple" that's a load of bull. Your body is like a car, what you eat is pretty much the gas. Now if you want some top tier premium high octane fuel for your body this is the place to go. Since starting juicing I've subbed out my usual morning coffee for juice and feel much better, the energy level is there and I don't feel guilty about all the artificial/processed stuff that I usually get with coffee. The folks there are nice, the manager Dave is always friendly and greets you. I always get The Leaf (it's a bunch of veggies like spinach, ginger and celery with apples and limes) it's refreshing and tasty. So if you like eating healthy, great service and affordable prices this is the place to go!
(5)Brooke M.
What a gem in the middle of downtown Honolulu. Needed a good smoothie (made with real fruit and veggies!!!) before boarding the plane to New Zealand and this place did not disappoint! Super friendly staff, helped make suggestions and even made us a complimentary pineapple ginger shot while we were waiting! Awesome spot! Even coming from a New Yorker
(5)Amara E.
I was running up and down Bishop street trying to find this place before it closed last Friday. It's pretty hidden in the shopping center if you're walking along Bishop street. To save you some time, it is to the left of the McDonald's and you won't be able to see it from the road. I grabbed the Powerhouse juice which includes: broccoli, strawberry, spinach, blueberry, apple. Mike, the owner, threw in some kale for me, so I could get my full serving of veggies for the day! Yay! He showed me how many veggies and fruits I would be getting for $7, and it looked about the size of a medium-sized salad. It doesn't look as pricey when you see all the fresh ingredients being used before it's extracted and turned into juice. Final verdict? Not bad for a veggie drink! I was worried that it would taste kind of funky with broccoli and kale, but for the most part, it tasted fruity! The only veggie I could really taste was the kale and that's not usually included in the Powerhouse, so if you order a regular one, it probably will just taste like a regular mixed fruit juice blend! I normally would never eat that many veggies in a day, so it's a great way to sneak in an extra serving or two! The customer service here is awesome and the drinks are refreshing! I walked in thinking I'd be trying some funny-tasting fad diet and walked out a juice-convert!

Kudos to Extract Juice Bar. Definitely by far one of the best Juice/Health places in Downtown. The owners Mike and Stacy opened it up almost a year ago and it has been amazing ever since. I work across the street and walk over at least a few times a week to get my health fix of liquid fruits and veggies. I think what's special about Extract is not just the juices/smoothies, but the people. Jeremy, Alex, and Katelyn are always really inviting and friendly. Even if they get a rush of customers, they are fast and the my order has always been on point. I usually get the Leaf (Spinach, Lime, Celery, Ginger) or Pineapple Express along with a Pita. They have a wide array of unique pita's as well as smoothies to satisfy your lunch cravings. Definitely the spot to go get your juice on. They have something for every taste, even spicy juices as well. Go check them out. It's in Bishop Square about 50 feet past Jack in the Box, walking towards Hotel Street. By far the best juice bar in Honolulu, what can I say- I just love this place! I juice all the time at home, but for some reason this place just does it better! Its got to be the staff; they are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Anytime I have a question, or if I ask for a recommendation they never cease to amaze. Wanna jump on my juice high and love for this place? Try the leaf, it's got spinach, celery, apple, ginger and lime! Nom nom nom!
(5)Alan W.
Everything here is fresh and healthy! Like all other reviews state, staff here are upbeat and friendly. Been enjoying various juices here, lots of choices. Follow the suggestions by the staff, you can't go wrong.
(5)Jayme B.
Just had the best power house juice ever + beets. The girl Korean girl is hilarious and super helpful.
(5)Anna P.
I love this place. The manager/owner and staff are always really friendly and chatty when I come in. They will make substitutions or add to any juice at no extra cost, which is nice! I get the Weed Whacker with an apple (for a little extra sweetness) and some ginger. Without those, I think the particular juice combo is slightly bland (too much cucumber/celery) but definitely much better my way! They will also encourage you to try the juice before you leave and if you're not happy with it, they will make adjustments for you right there. I've also had their pitas which are surprisingly filling. This is a great way to get your fruits and veggies if you have a hard time eating them like a normal person (like I do) and located in a great spot downtown.
(5)Jennifer C.
I tried their 5 day cleanse with 5 juices/day, a small bag of trail mix, and a very light laxative tea for the evening. The juices were surprisingly AMAZING and definitely felt a lot healthier after the cleanse. It was difficult to stick to it but was worth the while. The owner was really friendly and informative. I will be back for more and so should you!
(4)Olivia D.
I love it! Tried the Pineapple Express (chard, ginger, pineapple and celery) and Morning Doodle (kale, apple, carrot, grape and lemon). Both were outstanding. The Pineapple Express was sweeter with a great ginger zing. The Morning Doodle is tart; you can taste the lemon. The color is a brownish green but the flavors go great together. I couldn't decide which one i loved better. Now I am drinking The Leaf--spinach, apple, celery, ginger, parsley and lime--their best seller. This one is the most tart and has the biggest punch. The guys are awesome and so friendly. Thanks Michael and Dave!

Came back from my trip to Cali to find that the old Blimpie space downstairs was transformed into a juice bar! I'm no health freak but hey, I like juice (not that I would ever know how to make it myself), so I decided to check it out. I had a Powerhouse Juice + Vegg-Out Pita Pizza. It was $12, would have been $7 for either one alone. The juice was really yummy and I was surprised at their combination, but they clearly know what ingredients to put together to make a tasty drink. The pizza was great as well and the meal felt very, very healthy and surprisingly made me full. My only disappointment was the price. $7 for a cup of juice (approximately the size of a Starbucks grande) is really high. I mean I totally understand that there's a high cost for all of the fresh ingredients that go into it and whatnot, but it's just not something I would make a habit. I would go to Starbucks 2-3 times a week for a $4 drink, but for a $7 juice, I would try to limit myself to one or two visits per month. I try not to spend more than $7 on lunch, much less just a juice. I think $7 for a pita pizza is overpriced as well, but it's not as shocking since it's actual food. Also, it took about 15 minutes for them to prepare my order...which is about 10 minutes too long in Downtown because of everyone's limited lunch hours. The two guys working there were really nice, though one guy was juicing with a tank top on (not sure if that violates health codes). I'll definitely be back--it was quite yummy and healthy, but I will have to make sure not to make it a habit for the sake of my wallet. It might help if they started some kind of card stamp program...just saying.

The guys here are so nice and sweet. I was running late for a conference workshop at Manoa and had to transfer buses, so I had 15mins to kill. Decided to get my breakfast here instead of Manoa. I had the Morning Doodle and it was so good! It also kept me full for hours. ..surprisingly if you consider the size they serve. I'm favorite is the Powerhouse but just about anything these guys serve up is good stuff.
(5)David W.
The juice is really tasty and I really like the guy that was working there (we have the same name so obviously he was awesome!) $7 = once in a while. It's delicious and healthy but hard to compete with a $1.50 cup of coffee in the AM. Maybe when I get promoted it'll become a more regular thing!
(4)Makana G.
I had my Extract Juice Bar experience on a Friday but saw the store 4 days before. I was so thrilled to have finally found the place where everyone in town was getting those gorgeous juiced drinks I saw. I ordered a pizza and juiced drink, both were delicious and energizing. I couldn't have asked for a better more fulfilling lunch. My overall experience was fulfilling! Their customer service is outstanding and the people there love and believe in what they are doing. I firmly believe that happy healthy people turn around and make other happy healthy people. An epic find nonetheless! Aloha! :)
(5)Lalaine V.
The two gentlemen running the place were friendly and welcoming. Got The Leaf as it was recommended by one of the guys. Very refreshing. It's 20 oz of juice but $7 seems a bit much. I'd go back though to try other flavors and their pizza.
(4)Remedy A.
Excellent place! Super excited to have a juice bar downtown and so close to work.. Even got to request my own juice recipe!! The staff here are extremely friendly and down to earth people.. 2 thumbs up!!
(5)JAW J.
So glad we have a juice bar downtown now. Fresh juice, fair prices, friendly owners and cool decor. Places like this make me feel like Honolulu is moving in the right direction.....
(5)Meredith C.
My husband and I have visited many juice bars on the island and extract is definitely our favorite! For only 7$ you get double the amount of juice you would at any other juice bar and the staff is super friendly! We're giving this place two thumbs up! :)
(5)Anthony M.
This was my first time juicing. I enjoyed the experience. The amount of vegetables and freshness is amazing. I had a Powerhouse. $7 well worth it. Thank you to this husband and wife team bringing us something special and making our bodies taste angels in our belly.
(5)Catherine S.
Awesome place! The staff was really nice and they offer to tweak any of the recipes to your liking. :)
(5)Stephanie R.
Fresh and healthy! We need more of these kind of places! The people that work there are awesome as well! Friendly and passionate about their job!
(5)Michel A.
My friend has been frequenting Extract for the past month or so. She took me there today for lunch. She ordered us the Leaf juice minus the celery, substituted it with kale. Oh, and light ginger as I'm not much of a ginger fan (yet). The owner was super nice as he already knows my friend. In fact, he was so nice that I left him a tip! The Leaf juice was really good. The light citrus taste at the end it really refreshing. It's been almost two hours since I finished my drink and I'm still full. Definitely a great way to shed some pounds in a healthy way. Thanks D for the lunch date and thank you Extract for a really great juice experience! I'll be back for sure!
(5)Jeff A.
This place is excellent. Definitely organic and the best way to start your day or drink at any time. It's nice to know there is a place that can make these juices and but have to worry about doing them myself. I tried the powerhouse and pita bread pizza ...to die for... worth the $12. Thus makes me want to juice again
(5)Marni E.
I really enjoyed the Powerhouse and had a refreshing pineapple/ginger shot. I spent $7 on a 12oz, shot was $2. They also have cleanses. Lots of choices on the menu, no parking though.
(4)Play Paradise K.
Stop by and see Dave. He's a super nice guy that genuinely cares if you enjoy your drink. I had The Leaf and it was delicious. Everything on the menu is $7, including pita bread pizzas. The ingredients were fresh, with nothing additional thrown in the mix. And unlike Jamba Juice down the road, Extract wasn't packed or noisy. Give them a shot!
(4)Gina H.
The juices are great, and the staff is so friendly. You can get any juice for $7, and they're willing to customize drinks for you if you want something slightly different than what's on the menu. They also have delicious flatbreads that are only $5 with the purchase of a drink. I've never had a bad experience here.
(5)Tia T.
Friendly staff that allows you to customize your drinks. They'll have you taste it as soon as they hand it to you, to make sure it's perfect. I've had three of their drinks and loved each one.

Aloha!!
(5)Annie K.
(5)Jake ..
Would be 5 stars if it was slightly cheaper. The overhead of such a great location is probably to blame for the inflated prices. That being said, I happily pay up, the service and fresh juices are phenomenal.
(4)Toni P.

(5)Regine G.
(5)Derek G.

Awesome place! The staff was really nice and they offer to tweak any of the recipes to your liking. :)

Fresh and healthy! We need more of these kind of places! The people that work there are awesome as well! Friendly and passionate about their job!

Been here 3 times already this week and I love this place! Their juices taste so fresh and the combination of the different fruits and veggies are wonderful. The staff is supernice and welcoming. Also tried one of the trail mix snacks they sell and it was a perfect for a in-between-classes snack.

Went to Extract for the first time today. I had the Powerhouse. It was delicious. Service is awesome to. I'll be a regular! They make eating healthy easy.

Aloha! :)

The two gentlemen running the place were friendly and welcoming. Got The Leaf as it was recommended by one of the guys. Very refreshing. It's 20 oz of juice but $7 seems a bit much. I'd go back though to try other flavors and their pizza.

Excellent place! Super excited to have a juice bar downtown and so close to work.. Even got to request my own juice recipe!! The staff here are extremely friendly and down to earth people.. 2 thumbs up!!

So glad we have a juice bar downtown now. Fresh juice, fair prices, friendly owners and cool decor. Places like this make me feel like Honolulu is moving in the right direction.....

Super friendly staff who just want to serve you a juice that is healthy and good for you. You pick the juice that you want and they'll juice is right in front of you. After you take your first sip, they'll on to you asking if you like it. If you don't, they'll gladly make another for you.

Great place for a healthy pick me up! The workers are very knowledgeable about what qualities different drinks offer and its nice how they show you everything thats actually packed into your drink, pretty amazing. Everything is really tasty! I did a clease once, it was great and actually tasted good too!
