Since there is no other sushi restaurant nearby from where I live besides this one, I usually go to this one. I just think their sushi is not par with other sushi places like kozo sushi. Their spicy ahi is nothing special... And the price is about the same as kozo sushi.

Decent menu size though they don't have too many options that I typically go for in regards to sushi. I also don't think they use sushi rice as the rice vinegar taste was missing. They use sriracha instead of Japanese mayo in their spicy ahi don and they add it over a bed of shredded lettuce and a slice of lemon. Definitely the most unique spicy ahi bowl I've had. The lettuce doesn't mix well with the ahi bowl but at least it functions as a salad somewhat. At least it is very spicy. The size of the bowl and the cost is fair but not plentiful, but they do give you a miso soup side which is great. Would have to try their nigiri before I can really complete my opinion. A decent take out place. Service speed was okay.

I am giving 4 stars due to how fast they got the food out, the low prices and how very yummy everything was. I would totally come back again. However the customer service was lacking. They weren't very friendly or mean somewhere in the middle. I was too hungry to care whether she smiled or not lol. It's a small shop with bar stools and small shelf like table to eat at that faces the street. I didn't come there expecting the red carpet treatment but as long as the food continues to be good and they hand me napkins without a eye roll I will be back. Hubby had a mango bubble tea which was ooookay. They are closed on Sunday's.

I've come here for 10+ years and they are always kind and accommodate me with my *favorite* sushi- sansai handroll- which is not on the menu. It's the only place I can get this and I love them for it! Their other sushi is great as well. Please don't ever leave me!

The only workers here seems to be the owner and her daughter. The service is great, the owner is very friendly and the food is made when ordered! I love to get spicy ahi roll and california roll when I'm in a rush and didn't have anything to eat. I also tried bubble drinks here and it's sooo good!! I love the taro, green tea, and coffee bubble drinks :)

Awful service! It took at least 10 minutes to get acknowledged by the gal behind the counter, then I had to wait another 30 minutes for my order. Don't go here if you've got just an hour for lunch. I gave 2 stars because the food was good but had to inhale it.

This place is close to a lot of other shops, including Safeway. So the location is good. The food has basic sushi menu, but at a pretty good price. My problem with the sushi is that it doesn't taste fresh. I lived in Okinawa for two years and I can tell fresh versus frozen then thawed sushi. The bubble tea on the other hand, so tasty. I would go back for the boba.

I ordered the dinner mixed sushi set. Rice was on the mushier side. Ahi was watered down, totally weird. Tamago was pretty good though. I just wish the people here smiled...none of them did and barely made eye contact. Though there was no one else in the store, when I took a long time being indecisive ordering my food I felt as if the lady was just staring me down. I could feel the penetration of her irritation. (oooh rhyme!)

My favorite Aloha Sushi! It's a bit of a travel for me but worth it. Cheap bubble drinks and their sushi taste fresh. Their shrimp tempura doesn't taste and look like its has just been defrosted and microwaved. They have great customer service. Cons: There is like 4 guest parking stalls & about 5 seats if you plan on eating in. Pros: Fresh sushi, diverse menu to choose a decent meal, cheap bubble drinks & they deliver

They must have changed management. Place is a bit dirtier and just banged up looking. They also don't have serval things on their menu. One person working means it takes forever for your food. Quality is not as good either.

My cousin and I wanted to come eat at this Aloha Sushi because we live nearby. We ate at the one on Keeaumoku St and by the Airport. I figured they would be similar. However, this one was not. We Ordered spicy dragon maki and dynamite maki. I was unaware that spicy dragon maki had unagi (eel) in it and I've never eaten eel before. I dared myself and ate the eel despite knowing I have certain salt water fish allergy and would know if I am allergic after getting hives and feeling miserable throwing up. Thank goodness there is a Kaiser across the street. But lucky for me, I survived the dare! Would I eat it again? Maybe. Pro: 1) Similar menu, but unsure if prices are different 2) Filled me right up. I recommend the dynamite maki Con: 1) Street parking. Or park by First Hawaiian/Walgreens lot 2) Cashier seemed new. Did not know what was in particular sushi I asked about 3) They did not have Spider Maki. I was utterly disappointed 4) Shoyu container dripped when pouring. Fix the darn thing!

For what it is, this place gets a five out of five from me. Maybe it's a little too generous, but out of all the take out sushi places (including other aloha sushis) this place is my FAVORITE! Why you ask? Food: All of the fish I've had from here tastes ridiculously fresh. You know how some take out sushi places have dry, toilet water tasting fish? Not here! Of course it's not the best sushi I've had but for a take out place I was impressed. My favorite things from here is their strawberry coconut fruit smoothie (I believe this is made with real fruits) and their salmon ikura donburi (I think it's around $8 now). The salmon is SO fresh and cut in nice sized pieces. The ikura tastes pretty good as well. All donburis come with miso soup. Service: Probably the only thing I can kinda complain about. I always come here when I visit my mom down the street and I've been coming for years and the service is not the friendliest. They get the job done but almost every time they don't smile or anything. Makes me kind of uncomfortable sometimes but whatever! At least their not mean. Location: Located across the street from Kaiser hospital. They have a small parking lot. There's also about five or six chairs you can sit at to enjoy your food. By the way, I suggest you not to go at around 3pm. That's when Mckinley gets out of school and the tiny shop gets really busy.

This is my favorite Aloha Sushi location and place to grab some quick sushi. Actually, they sometimes take a while to prepare your order since it is made fresh. They have a good variety of hand rolls, nigiri, maki, bentos, party platters, and smoothies. I usually get their $7.99 spicy ahi don, which comes with miso soup, and supplement with a tako nigiri. The spicy ahi is good quality and has awesome taste. Most prices are on the cheaper side. The workers are friendly but the seating area inside is small. Since there's only around five seats, I usually take my food to go. Also, the parking lot in the back has less than ten stalls and they are shared with the neighboring stores.

Quick sushi! It was very disappointing that they were cash only. I would not recommend the Unagi Donburi but the sushi was palatable. Would return if I am looking for quick sushi.

Ok so somehow this Aloha Sushi made it off the Yelper's radar, and I can't understand how (see my submitted photo). Well ok maybe it's because other than the standard Aloha Sushi advertisements in the window, there is no sign. It could also be that it is squeezed between Cartier's Barber and Hair One beauty saloon fronting Pensacola on the Diamond Head side. So I have eaten here 3 times now due to it's very convenient location (Pensacola and Young) and plethora of cheap, quick, convenient sushi. I will be returning, but won't be expecting very friendly service or the full Aloha Sushi menu because there's is neither. The 3 stars is a stretch obviously, but I do like the location... Did I mention it's a very convenient location... Enjoy... TIPS: Parking at Safeway or in the rear of the little strip mall, entering from Pensacola / it's easy to miss, ground floor right in the middle of the strip mall / Come open minded and appreciate the location

Love this place only for it's CHEAP bubble tea's not for the sushi. I got the spicy ahi roll and it tasted very odd. I also got the philly roll once and the salmon was not fresh and very chewy.
