JACK- IN- The-BOX! Do you remember the tacos? I do and guess what? Just as Awesome as ever! Flash back memories will start pouring through your head! Every time I visit the Big Island I go there and get a sack of tacos and their secret sauce. They also have other goodies like the chicken in a pita, very tasty! In the early 60's Chicago had a Jack-In-the-Box. This Jack N' the Box Rocks!!!

9/16/14 I am from out of state and went to this Jack in the box for lunch on my vacation. I was "WOWed" by their customer service. The food was like any other Jack in the box which is exactly what I expected but the People working there were very kind and attentive!!

OK so it's a Jack in the Box. Can't be that amazing. However, it is a good place to stop in for a cold drink that isn't going to set you back too much. In my case that would be a iced tea the size of the water catchment at the house (as my Dad likes to point out). They also have an island stylie Spam breakfast platter. I am veg but it was nice to see them going somewhat local.

It's fast food. Overall, the chicken here is better than McDonald's, but not as good as Wendy's. They were open Christmas Eve though, so that was pretty sweet! Fries were decent. When I came, it wasn't super busy, so I felt that the quality of the fries and burgers were decent. Plenty of parking, conveniently located in Hilo.

The staff were friendly and fast, that gets them up from the single star. Went to try the Siracha burger which was a limited time offer. The patty and bun were dry. There was no moist warm grease like a sourdough Jack should have. I knew it was a bad sign when I opened the bag and the wrapper remained opaque, not clear from being soaked through with griddle grease. They also ran out of the siracha sauce. So I had a dry non-greasey sourdough jack with chipotle sauce and some jalapeños.

I guess I'm used to the kona jack in the box, the Hilo one is...meh. got the Teri Jr. Jack, not enough Teri, but a regular Jr. jack costs more ?!?. Also the fries were sorta soggy. I know its just jack in the box, but hey, its usually of better quality than other fast food joints. well, I'm sure I'll be visiting here again sometime in the near future, my wife likes the deli trio sandwich. hopefully it will be better.

4 stars for the menu selection, catch phrases and curly fries. Ever since Arby's closed down, this is the only place in Hilo where I can get curly fries. 4 stars also being this Jack is 24 hours. I gotta admit, the burgers and such are on the greasy but that's just me. Other than that, hats off Jack!
