OMG! This is my favorite Filipino food place in Honolulu, HI! Kusina Filipino Cusine (also known as Lita's?) is located in the Mapunapuna shopping center (former Ranch 99 Grocery Store, next to Wah Kung). They have a wide selection of hot foods! Dinuguan: Also known as Chocolate Meat. Pork pieces and *you know what* made into a delicious stew. Served hot over rice. The best on the island! Grade: A! Pork Igado: My first time trying this! It was pork pieces (traditionally made with pork heart, kidney, etc) only and it was delicious!!!! It has the sour vinegar flavor of dinuguan, but without the *you know what*. I loved this dish! Grade: A! Squid: Little tiny whole squid cooked in a soup sauce with onions, bell peppers. It is a very traditional dish that is not only tasty, but fun to eat! Grade: B The service was outstanding. I didn't know what a couple of the dishes were, so the ladies behind the counter (who are also the chefs) let me try some. I tasted and LOVED the pork skin with onion and tomatoes. Makes my mouth water thinking of it! Food Grade: A- Service Grade: A! Worth the Money Grade: A Overall Impression: A!
