Really good American-style Chinese food. The restaurant is lavishly decorated with the things you'd expect. - lots of gold and red. They stand out from the crows a bit by offering a large number of "triple" dishes featuring beef, chicken and shrimp. To try the place out, we had Chinese chicken curry and beef lo mein, ordered special without white onions. Communication was no problem and the special order was done correctly. The food? Light and very good, with very reasonable portions for the price. I used to go to my "spot" on Buford Highway, but if this place keeps hitting the mark like it did the first time, it is going to be my "go to" for basic Chinese carry-out.

This place had great food. You can get some much for the price. This restaurant makes you want to try different foods they offer. I'm coming back!

Really good hot n sour soup once again. Beef Veg and Hunan Chicken were basically the same dish, with one being a tad spicier and with different meat. Both had an thick, overly oily cornstarch sauce. Enjoyed the fresh veggies and water chestnuts. Thanks for free delivery! Cheers~

We have been coming to Mandarin Palace for a year or so. The food is great! Some favorites: crab rangoons, pan fried veggie dumplings, fried rice, vegetable pan fried noodles, and sweet & sour chicken. They have a nice kids menu and are very kid friendly. If you ask, you can get fancy little cocktail umbrellas in the kids' drinks. A husband and wife run the place and provide excellent service. After just a couple visits, she remembered what we usually ordered. All around, great place!

Not impressed. Came in for lunch and had the special which wasn't well prepared. The atmosphere was drab and the staff were far too smug for my taste. Overall expected more from my first visit. If you're looking for quality try the Panda Express across the street. I do have to admit, however, the egg rolls were fairly decent.

I am new to the area, and have no food in the house yet. After my sad realization that there is no Chinese food place in the area that delivers, I decided to try here for pickup. I got broccoli and chicken, which is my staple. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, and was pretty good. Definitely not the best ever, but for the price, the portion was HUGE- dinner combo big enough for two people easily. Inside the restaurant, the decor looked nice enough to come back and dine in sometime. Im glad to know theres a good Chinese place a short drive away.

Very large portions that were surprisingly a meal for one. We strolled in about 8p on a Friday night. I ordered the combo General Tso and Beef & Broccoli with a Spring Roll on the side. The fella had Genral Tso and Mongolian Beef with a Spring Roll and Beer. Yes!!! There serve beer! So while we waited for a short time the food came out. There must be some eating contest because that was a ton of food! The General Tso Chicken was very flavorful and crispy. The Beef & Broccoli was more like gravy. It was good but tasted more like soulfood. The Monoglian Beef was excellent! Great place in my neighborhood and I will be going back!

New to the area. Looking for good take out Chinese places. This is not one. I got the Beef and broccoli and it was less the spectacular. The broccoli was sour and had black spots all over the stems, which could not be good. The speed was fantastic though.
Food was good/okay. The happy family was actually pretty good but the fried rice needed salt. Most importantly the AC was out the day we came and it also seemed too dark inside. The atmosphere took away from the meal. Health score was 81 on the day we went.

Swung by this place a couple times for carry-out. When trying a new Chinese place, I usually get a fried rice as my standard comparison dish. So I got a "small" pork fried rice on my first trip and a house lo mein on my next visit. The fried rice was good, and the lo mein was... OK. I didn't find it extremely flavorful and the noodles seemed almost like they weren't cooked enough, I'm not sure. Two big positives though - the food was ready really quickly both times, and the portions were HUGE. And both visits I'd just come from the gym, so I was hungry. I don't know if they were out of larger containers, or if this was standard protocol, but my lo mein came in 2 separate containers (he assured me it was one order though). This was convenient... it was easy to immediately put one in the fridge when I got home as opposed to having one giant container and tell myself I won't eat the whole thing =). Definitely get your money's worth, I just didn't find it to be particularly phenomenal Chinese food.

I just ordered from this place for the first time. I ordered through the yelp app. My order was delivered hot and yummy by a super friendly delivery guy. I'll definitely keep this on my lazy dinner night speed dial.

I never thought I would give a Chinese takeout place 5 stars, but this place was absolutely amazing. I was staying at a hotel across the street for a week on a business trip and wanted something quick and delicious that could be delivered. I found Mandarin Palace and placed an order for their Pork Lo Mein and an order of their steamed pork dumplings. About 45 minutes later, the food was delivered to my hotel room steaming hot. The Lo Mein came in two take out containers which was really surprising to me! Such huge portions for a really great price. The dumplings were cooked perfectly and the balance of meat and vegetables was just right! It was very close to how my mother used to make them so they were quite authentic! The Lo Mein was a little greasy but that was expected. Only thing I was a little troubled by was that the delivery guy rounded up my total by almost a dollar and there was no receipt. I'm sad I won't be able to eat here for awhile but glad I took a chance on a Chinese restaurant in a strip mall!

I used to order delivery from here probably once per month. I got pick up from here today after a long break and after a long day at work. First, I am doing myself a disservice by getting delivery. The interior is very nicely decorated, the atmosphere was calm and quiet, and the patrons seemed to be enjoying a great dining experience. The food is some pretty good, standard Americanized Chinese food. I had the dinner for one combo which includes two entree selections, soup and egg roll. I had the teriyaki chicken and the Kung pao chicken. The teriyaki chicken was very good. Lots of veggies in a mildly sweet sauce. Kung pao was spicy and equally good. This was a solid choice for a Friday night DVR marathon. But next time I'll treat myself and dine in.

Yes portions big. flavor... none. Very surprised it has 4 stars. Maybe for service, but not for food. I love Asian cuisine, but this does not even come close. I ordered chicken lo mein which tasted alot like garlic. Chicken was flavorless. General tso's another disappointment. I love tso's and this made me extremely sad cuz I didn't even it. I had to throw it away. Overall I will never order from here again.

I ordered the wonton soup, crab Rangoon and Mongolian shrimp. I waited 80 minutes for delivery, but it was well worth the wait. Delicious! I truly enjoyed the mushrooms, shrimp, chicken and water chestnuts in the soup. Crab Rangoon was the perfect cheese to wonton ratio! Tender shrimp in the entree! Enjoyed it very much!

We were craving good Chinese food today & came across this place. Drove a bit of a distance from home, but so glad we did! The husband & wife team running the place are super attentive, and the food was fantastic! We tried the hot & sour soup, as well as the wonton (comes with shrimp!). Also had chicken chow mein, spicy garlic beef & green beans. Everything was cooked perfectly! We will definitely be back!

It's nice and clean on the inside. I ordered the jalapeño shrimp sauce and shrimp fried rice. I was pretty impressed. The food was good, and it came out quickly. It's fairly price as well, so overall I was happy. The waitress was really nice and polite. I'll be going back!

What can I say about this place other than disgusting. I mean from the 499 lunch special to lure you in to find out its chicken fried rice and that's it. You know your restaurants bad when you have your whole family working there and your children playing on the back tables in the back of the restaurant. So let me get to the story my friend ordered shrimp and broccoli and I ordered General tso .. Her plate only had six pieces of shrimp now keep in mind this is the dinner portion so we paid 1495 for that and the broccoli was hard. I ordered General Tso and some crab ragoons.. The general tso was stale and old.. I couldn't even cut it with my fork like the chicken was sitting there already fried and they popped it in the microwave and then put it in the sauce and served it. The rice was hard so hard I started the question is anything in this restaurant fresh? Then the crab ragoons came out and that was pure cream cheese with a smidge it crab meat nasty i left the food at table and walked out.

Wow, I was really impressed by this place. Usually it's hard to trust Chinese in a gigantic strip mall but I gave this place a try based on previous ratings. Everyone was right. I tried the lo mein, kung pao chicken and hot n sour soup. All of it was great! The kung pao wasn't breaded chicken nor was it drowning in sauce. It was fresh vegetables (even the water chestnuts were fresh) and chunks of chicken breast tossed in a very light sauce. The lo mein was equally awesome. The noodles were cooked perfectly, there was a lot of chicken and broccoli and again a perfect sauce. I usually go to a place closer to me in Clarkston (near a certain strip club) but I think I'm going to start ordering from here instead. I can get 5 star food at 3 star prices. Really, really happy with my food. They also have dine in. Standard issue Chinese restaurant decor, nothing fancy but decent

What a gem this place is. My family goes here quite often and LOVES it! My fiance and I tagged along and we were so glad we did. The owner was our server and she was so sweet and attentive. The hunan chicken was flavorful and plenty alongside a delicious egg drop soup. Everything on our table was delicious. Prices were very resonable. Try this place out, you wont regret it.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
