Very grumpy hostess, long wait for a table, food is okay, service is slow.

This particular Cracker Barrel is located right of I-85 in Suwanee. As far as restaurant chains go the Cracker Barrel is one of the better ones. Their menu is pretty standard, the usual burgers, stakes and fried chicken make an appearance on it. As their name says "old country store" the craziest thing on the menu is the meatloaf. But just because the items aren't way out there doesn't mean that the Cracker Barrel is way out of date. The cracker barrel, to my surprise, has a low carb menu with a surprising number of low carb sides and they also have craft sodas. In my mind those two options make a bit up to date, . The food that Cracker barrel serves is a bit underwhelming. It sounds good and every time I've ordered I'm about 90% happy. There is always about 10% missing! The food is either a bit too bland or could be better prepared. Overall it's good, you won't be disappointed but you'll feel it could have been better. Their service is good but not great. The servers could be a bit more attentive when it comes to the drinks but otherwise no complaints. Overall this place is good and their options are what bring me back. The only mark against in my mind it is that there is no alcohol and always leaving the place feeling a bit underwhelmed.

It sucks that there isn't many breakfast places around, and when it comes to breakfast, Cracker Barrel really isn't my favorite place to go to. I've been here for lunch/dinner once or twice and the food I got during those times tasted good, however I really am not a huge fan of their breakfast. I would say the food is mediocre, nothing special. Also, it always seems like they take a really long time to bring out your food. Overall, I only come here when my boyfriend wants to eat here. I would avoid this place the morning of Sundays and holidays unless you want to wait on many parties of families.

The staff was very nice and freindly but for a slow night and for what is normally an item that comes out very quickly becasue it is usually premade. I felt that 20 minutes for my meat loaf, Green beans, corn, and salad. would have come right out.

We went around Christmas time - which may have been a mistake..but they always seem like they are running over with people. The food was really great (the vegetable plate of course). Our server was in the weeds big time and I don't blame her at all, because if I had the tables she had to serve I would be miserable also. She had 4 tables including us and none of the tables would let her leave to go do what they requested! We were pretty simple, not demanding refills to go or to-go boxes or extra gravy or extra anything so I think that is why we got pretty good service on such a busy night. I got a couple of really cute tree decorations that were on sale too.

One of the worst cases of a bad night I have experienced in a long time. It must be the management, I fire or get some consistency for everyone. First, the place was disorganized to the point there was no clear hostess, or direction in the front. The poor gal told us it would be a wait and she put us on the list with at least two visible tables open. The one second later, she then selected what was a horrible dirty table and area, and the waitress had to clean or attempt to clean the area. This called out attention to the overall dirty floor. The waitress was a one star, who could not get our order or service right, and another waitress that delivered our food cold and was so polite she place our syrup into my plate after pulling it from a less than ideal spot! In all it was as if the chaos was to demanding for all. The Manger who seemed to be waiting on tables too..Yet his staff was not that busy with customers. There just no consistency with this restaurant and each visit are like a roll of the dice!

Been here a handful of times, and no complaints! I've been with my whole family and just by myself. Service has always been good. I've never had my food come out with anything wrong with it. One time they accidentally gave me too much shrimp! I'm ok with that kind of mistake. The retail shop always has great deals in the clearance corner too. I'll keep coming back to this location! Oh and I always see a manager checking on guests when I'm there. Which I like to see.

visited with 1 guest- for weekday breakfast- sat promptly- when asked for different table- got sour look- they were seating everyone on top of each other- First Omen. Ordered low-carb menu- meat and eggs. Food Arrived 32 minutes later. Second bad omen. Food was cold (as breakfast can be) Biggest problem was the poor quality The Bacon was so over cooked, inedible- I had 2 pieces (1 piece was literally 1" long) Server never checked back after dropping food off- got up went to another server- asked for fresh bacon- they brought by sausage patties- by this time breakfast was done. I scarffed down the three cold eggs. Got Patties to go. The manager came by and said they switched their Bacon and have had complaints---just appeared cooked ahead of time, and way overcooked. Everyone appeared to be waiting quite a while for their food. Was not overly busy- quite don't understand- the manager appeared ambivalent- he came by first time to check on our table about 20 minutes into waiting for our food....coffee was good as usual, but thats all we had to sample. The management is in lalalalala land.

The food is good and came very quickly. For a busy Sunday night we only had to wait 15 minutes. Pros We had the Country Fried Steak and Buttermilk Oven Fried Chicken Breast... both very good. Cons The service was very slow and the corn was a over cooked. The fruit that consist of 4 strawberries and 3 pieces of pineapple cost almost $3.00.

A average to good Barrel, We ate here for the first time at this location and our waitress was overwelmed with customers. It was really packed with a 20 minute wait.. The food was good as i ordered the grill trout with sides of mac and cheese, corn, okra and cornbread, i would eat here again, maybe not on a subday

True story: My dad took me and my sister on a cross country road trip in late August 2009. We asked the waitress we got at this location why Cracker Barrel doesn't exist anywhere on the West Coast. She told us that since Cracker Barrel is privately owned the owners don't want to open a restaurant in CA because our minimum wage is too high, and they feel that it isn't worth it to open a series of CB's here. Same goes for Waffle House. Bummer. Anyway, the food is amazing! We stayed at a Motel 6 nearby and ventured into this Cracker Barrel for dinner (I had a bacon cheeseburger and steak fries. I love steak fries!) and breakfast (French toast plate with maple syrup) the next day before we took off again. The portions are enorumous!! For dinner, we had a waiter that was very patient and understanding of the fact that it was our first time in a Cracker Barrel. The chick we got for breakfast the next day was also very friendly and patient with us. Thanks to the delicious Southern food, I came home to San Diego with a Southern accent. Haha! I'll five-star Cracker Barrel when I can get some good Southern eats in So Cal.

This is a chain restaurant but I must say that they have some good southern food. I don't think there is one bad thing on the menu and believe me I have tried it all. Also the wait staff has always been wonderful no matter what location I am visiting. You can find this store plastered all over the east cost while driving up to New York. It is wonderful to sit out side in a rocking chair and play chest until your table is ready.

The staff was really nice and friendly. Except the lady who brought our food. She just came up to us and stared... A hi would of been nice.. But that all just doesn't matter because the food was terrible. The french toast tasted so bland we had to send it back. Everything I ate.. I've had better. The grits, hashbrowns, and biscuits. Oh gosh were the biscuits terrible. Tasted like flour. If you never been to cracker barrel there is a puzzle game on the table. I think that is what I enjoyed the most. The game was pretty fun. I'll probably come back if my family is going but i'll never be in the mood for Cracker Barrel.

What better way to enjoy country cooking than Cracker Barrel. Still one of the my favorite quality chain restaurants and this location is a winner. Having come here for the last 6 years some of the same friendly staff is still here. I love their hash browns and country ham for breakfast and dinner or lunch. This location for me always has been spot on and am sure you will agree!

My wife and I needed to get out of the house last week after the snow had us home for a few days. Our son had gone to spend some time with my parents and we wanted something to eat. I had the bacon cheeseburger and was surprised at how good it was. Julie had the turkey special and liked all of it except the sweet potato.. they tasted odd (whatever they used to sweeten it was different than normal) But for a guy cravin a cheeseburger I was very happy, great staff, good food..

Great Southern food....the grits, gravy and biscuits, sourdough French toast and fluffy blueberry pancakes are the bomb! Wait wasn't that bad, considering there was a long line. While waiting, you get entertained with all the little silly knock knacks they have in their country store. I always love coming here!

We had Thanksgiving lunch here yesterday. It was really good. The Turkey was moist and and the trimmings were very fresh and tasteful. Service was good also (even with the large amount of people). If you don't cook at home go here. They keep the food hot and the fireplace lit...

Food is always consistent no matter what so you know what you're getting every time. it's never disappointing. My all time favorite is their chicken and dumplings. Made from scratch every day and they use chicken tenders so it's nice and tender,... I always love their never ending corn bread and biscuits with butter and jam - but it's so bad because I could never finish my meal... first world problem right? I wanted to share this really neat experience I encountered that day... I called it a blessing. We sat down at the table and my little munchkin was unsettling and was determine to go out to the store area to get candies. Usually I would NOT give in and say no but she was determined to pull my index finger to walk me out to the store. So I caved in... She knew exactly what she wanted and we were standing at the check out line to pay for it. A young couple was ahead of us and I believe his wife/partner was pregnant but didn't think anything of it. When they got to the counter, the guy turned towards me and say that he's paying for my girl's candies. I was taken aback by his gesture and was politely rejected his offer. But he told the cashier he was paying for it and I'm like, no sir, you don't have to. He turns to me and said, it's a privilege. To this day, I still have goosebumps talking about it. I call it a blessing in humanity. That has never happened to me before nor have I had the courage to give someone that privilege yet. But I hope to have the opportunity to. Needless to say, I felt very warm and happy that day. It's such a small gesture that has completely overwhelmed me with so much emotions. Thank you to the young couple, I didn't get your name but I want you to know that you've made such an impact in my life by your kind gesture. Thank you.

It is almost a tradition for my family and I to go to brunch at Cracker Barrel on the weekend. While the service could be a little faster, the wait staff are always attentive to us. The food is above average. The price is very reasonable. There is usually a long wait on weekends, especially on Sundays after church. The attached store is a fun area to do some "treasure hunting." You can find very unique gifts, food items in the store. I cannot speak for dinner service, because I only dine here for brunch.

Yeah, I'm still going to give this location 5 stars. Is Cracker Barrel overall a 4 or 5 star type of restaurant or dining experience? Of course it is not. But for what it is and the consistency of the food and service, it certainly is. Places that this and the product and service completely hinge on their management. As long as good managers stay in here, the food and the service will remain good. I eat here VERY regularly and I've never had a bad meal or a bad dining experience. Are their little things that could improve? Absolutely, like any place. Am I a bit partial? Sure, because it's convenient and it's consistently good. Period. Come here early in the mornings on Sunday to beat the church crowd and come early on other days like Mother's Day unless you like long waits. So see? If it were only just OK or bad, this place would not have the business it has. And believe me, it can be VERY busy with long wait times.

The exterior reminded me of a country farm with rocking chairs lined up on the porch. Inside was a store, comparable to a decent gas station, everything was over price.. I didn't know what to expect I thought it was just a country store full of country folks from the neck of the woods. It was so over crowded on New Years day. Who knew a place like this, with simple food on their disorganize menu could be so over crowded. After waiting in line for almost 40 minutes, I felt like eating off my hand. How can they not provide seats for waiting customers?. I don't know what's worse waiting at Cracker Barrel or at the doctor's office.. hmm thats a tough choice. After the staffs got us situated, I order the fried tilapia and some sides which was pretty darn good. Overall, my experience with Cracker Barrel could have been better.

I love Cracker Barrel! The breakfast is always good here. I ordered the Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast. This dish comes with two eggs, grits, buttermilk biscuits, hashbrown casserole, and chicken fried chicken. Dont forget to request the apple butter which goes perfect the biscuit. The prices are not that expensive! My order was only $8.49.

Food was good I enjoyed the pecan crusted catfish off duet menu. Greens were not that great. Sad to say they were out of Chicken breast I mean common seriously out of chicken!!! Only reason it's not 2 stars is food was good.

For a good breakfast Cracker Barrel is usually a safe bet. This location is just okay. Not bad, but not that great either. I only go here because it's the closest Cracker Barrel to my house. The service here is just average. Service can also be a bit slow at times compared to other Cracker barrels I have been to. And I do not go during their "peak" times either! I will probably keep going here if I want breakfast food in my area, because I refuse to go to the Waffle house! If you want really good breakfast food I would try West Egg Cafe in the Westside provisions near Georgia Tech.

Food was great and service good, just food takes a long time every time we go, even on slow days in middle of the week. But we still love going and will continue going.
