Went in for dinner on a Saturday at around 5ish, was greeted immediately and sat promptly in one of their deep set booths. Looking around it seems like a family place (as there were a lot of families in there) all sharing big pizzas that smelled/looked delicious. My boyfriend and I order an appetizer, split a salad, and both order some pastas. All three were pretty tasty and portions were on the large side. FYI don't order the broccoli unless you plan to share b/c that particular portion is ENORMOUS. Service was friendly, my only complaint is that the food literally came out one after another. Still working on appetizer and here comes salad (which is okay to happen), but then BAM here came our dinner. All in all we spent around $60 for the food and a couple beers, not too bad for the size of all the portions (we've got lunch for tomorrow). Next time I think we'll wait to order the main plates or try a pizza to go.

I got a deal for $25 worth of food here. I have passed it quite a few times and even been inside twice, but never had the food. I ordered a personal pizza, calzone, Caesar salad, and chocolate cake...I didn't eat it all in one serving of course! This review is based on the salad, pizza, and cake. The personal pizza has a very thin crust, nice amount of cheese, and they added an adequate amount of my choice of topping for $2. The pizza was seasoned very well and it was big enough to last a few days (for me anyway). I really enjoyed it. I haven't been a fan of any pizza places in Atlanta besides Nancy's, but Zucca will definitely be my new pizza spot (rather than Papa John's) when I can't make it to Nancy's. The salad was just okay. I didn't care too much for the dressing because it was kind of runny. However, the lettuce and croutons were of good quality. Finally, the chocolate cake was amazing! I actually asked for the cheesecake when I ordered over the phone, but when I got home with my order I realized I had chocolate cake. I took this as a sign that I was supposed to have chocolate cake rather than cheesecake because a couple of nights before I had a terrible cheesecake at Cafe Intermezzo when I didn't consider the dessert guide's suggestion for the chocolate cake...but that's a completely different review. Anyway, Zucca's cake was very moist but not greasy and had a good dark chocolate frosting. It was a decent sized slice that lasted for two days. I'd say it was pretty good for a place that doesn't specialize in desserts. Overall I give Zucca 4 stars. I have nothing but good things to say about the place, but I'm pretty stingy with 5 star reviews.

Really great neighborhood pizzeria! Great atmosphere. (All the booths have personal little TVs with remotes!) Great friendly service! The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because I was not blown away by the food. Certainly not the best, but still very good.

Hubs and I tried the gluten free victory pie (mushrooms instead of sausage) and while the crust was a nice texture, the pie as a whole had very little flavor. We had to add red pepper flakes and parmesan just to get some type of taste. We came on a Saturday evening and our server was slow/busy. She didn't refill our drinks which sat close to empty for 10-15 minutes, maybe more. Seemed like booze came out for other tables every few minutes. Our server was friendly though. We would not recommend.

A good place to show up in workout clothes!! The thin crust pizza here is very, very good! The wine selection is nice as well. Zucchini is a great spot in fabulous Smyrna !

The mixed green salad was 80% iceberg lettuce. The victory pizza was awful. The crust was wet. The calamari smells like bad fish. The service was okay. The patio is nice. Avoid the food here, just go for drinks. Drink a lot before you order food if you eat, being drunk probably makes it taste better.

two words: VICTORY PIE No other pizza in the Smyrna/Marietta area even comes close. If you ask DH he will say one word: BROCOLLI and it really is that good... glad this is in the hood....

The pizza at Zucca is pretty good, but their late night menu is aweful. If you eat here, make sure you order the pizza at dinner time and not wait until the end of the night when the bar menu comes out. A couple of good things about Zucca are the patio, no smoking, and a friendly staff to keep your drinks full. Plus it located in the Smyrna Market Village where there is always a party going on.

This is my go to spot for pizza in the Smyrna area. They have great thin crust pizzas and they pizza sauce they use is perfectly complements the pie. I have to say that they have the best calzones around. What makes them so great is that is has the perfect blend of ricotta and mozzarella. At most other places that I order a calzone, it seems that they never use enough ricotta, but Zucca gets this right. This place is also great for kids. If the place is not crowded we can get a nice spot in a booth where each table has it's own TV. For the kids I can put on Nick Jr. or Disney and I can still watch sports on one of the larger TVs throughout the restaurant.

good (not great) pizza that is close to home. full bar and $5 Bacardi drink specials :)

Who knew a pizza place by day would turn into a nightclub at night, and in Smyrna no less. I used to get takeout from them when I lived near by so I was surprised that I had no idea this place turned into a club on Saturday nights. I can say this place is definitely an ego booster ladies, guys hitting on you left and right..although they are definitely the wrong kind of guys. I will say this place has some good people watching though, so 2 stars alone for that!

Ahh this place just doesn't stop. It's really become a home away from home and I don't even know WHY. I pretty much reluctantly came here on Saturday as I was fully intending to be a couch potato and catch up on my On Demand movies. But no, I was forced into a spiral of drinking and shenanigans. I was super salty when I got there because I had noticed that they changed my beloved long-time-running DJ! Wth... I tried to search for a manager to complain, but I think my ADD helped me to abandon that idea. As the night grew on I realized that the new guy wasn't so bad, and I even ended up pop-locking and showtuning in the middle of the dance floor. And yay to 'Berger for still being the best bartender around. He will take care of you for sure! Yess for symbiosis!

Love the location. Staff is friendly and efficient. The food is...meh. I was very unimpressed with my meatball sub. The bread was tasteless. The honeydip had a calzone. He said it was okay. Not great, but not bad. I felt the food lacked the basics- salt and pepper. I doubt I will return here again.

Let's say you're on a date. You guys sit in the lovely patio. It's pretty romantic. You lean in to say some sweet nothings into her ear and then.... HOOOOOONNNNNNNKK! A loud train screams by for like 5 minutes. LOL. The train is just a minor annoyance. The food here is pretty decent. It is a hit and a miss, which is typical for a place that have a lot of menu items. They have pizza, pasta, and a lot of appetizers. Their fried calamari is great. I ordered the clam pasta on white sauce. It was good but slightly bland. I also tasted their eggplant Parmesan. It was okay. Their tomato sauce wasn't anything special. They have an extensive drink menu. Their staff are courteous and cool. The price is a bit on the high side, but I think it's reasonable. I avoided the pizza because I had bad experiences ordering pizza at random Italian-themed places. But from reading the reviews, I should come back here and try them. This is an above-average restaurant. Not the best, but it's a place I would not mind returning. It turns into a dance-bar on Friday/Saturday nights. I give it 3.5 stars for now. And I'll definitely go back. It has the potential to grow on me.

Great place for lunch during summer. Pizzas are good and fresh tasting. None of that "under heat lamp dried stuff." food doesn't come out instant but plenty of time to mingle with company, watch tv, listen to good music outside, and more importantly the waiters are nice and help u out. Prices r reasonable during lunch. My date got a pollo verde which is a chicken calzon and wasnt tohappy cause it had a ton of cheese and spinach and hardly any chicken, but it was very fresh. But i would still return.

I first came here for a late dinner get together with friends. I wasn't really in the mood for Italian at the time, but I spotted eggplant on the menu, and I couldn't resist. I'm always a sucker for eggplant parmesan, and their's is far from disappointing. Wash it down with lots of wine and a very trendy late-night atmosphere, and you've got yourself a recipe for some good times! Since then, we've found ourselves frequenting Zucca because it tastes good and it's easy for us to agree on. On the days that we're extra lazy and miss church (oops!), we like to come here for brunch. The main attraction is none other than the $5 create- your- own Bloody Mary! You can choose from 16 different garnishes...any or all! So we've been known to try to get the most bang for our buck and get every single garnish! It was hard for them to fit all of them in the glass, but somehow it worked...and it was delicious! Liquid salad! There are other great menu options to chose from. The pizza isn't Varassano's, but it's pretty good. Every pasta dish I've tried is solid; way better than Olive Garden. It's also hard to go wrong with the calamari. My only beef with this place is that salads don't come standard with the entrees, so the bill seems to get a little out of control if you're not careful. But I guess when you're having a good time while ordering food and drinks to your heart's content, that's nothing to really complain about. Go. Try it out. Just don't be surprised if you find Zucca becoming one of your favorite haunts, too!

My friend and I ordered the Margherita pizza, personal size (8") which was plenty for two people and only $13. It was pretty good, especially for the price. Crust was thin, just how I like it :) It could use a little more cheese, but that's just my pizza preference. We also ordered the Buffalo calamari, which I have never eaten, so when my friend suggested, I was like WTF? But it was pretty good too. I'm not a huge fan of calamari, but the buffalo sauce they used was delicious. We used take out, which was pretty fast, maybe 10-15 min. Basically I ate too much and I feel like I just destroyed my arteries, but it was worth it!

I have been going to Zucca for years, and have never been disappointed. This is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. They have a variety of food at varying price points, so you can make your meal as expensive or as cheap as you want. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, and the food is delicious. I will definitely continue to visit Zucca in the future.

Went to Zuccas as a party of 6 + a sleeping baby in a carseat at 10:20p.m. after a concert in the park to have a late night snack- the weather was gorgeous and we didn't want to call it a night just yet so we figured we would head over for some dinner on their patio. Upon walking in, we were greeted with a less than enthusiastic server who just looked miserable working there and dying to get cut- tell us that we had to "rush" because kids weren't allowed after 11p.m. We told him we would probably be out by then, but we were curious as to why not? He was agitated and told us that there were smoking rules against it. Excuse me? You are denying us access to an OPEN patio- let me reiterate- unenclosed, open air- like the park we just left- at your establishment? You are pretty much parenting. If I subject my child to a smoke filled patio (which, might I add- wasn't-there were 2 older couples on the entire patio- the "party" is INSIDE the building where the DJ is) so be it. We sat at the table under the open sky and discussed our options when the server came back aggravated and annoyingly drop off 2 menus for 6 people. He restated that we now only had 30 minutes to order and eat (sounds like someone definitely had Saturday night plans)... We sat at the table and called Atkins Park Tavern across the street and asked if we could bring a sleeping baby in a carseat (since when is it a crime for parents to have a late night dinner with friends??) and they laughed on the phone.... IRONICALLY, we got carded at the door at Atkins Park Tavern but were still allowed access -- as opposed to Zucca's "pizza place" or night club? The true irony was that Atkin's Park Tavern was by far more "lively" and bar atmosphere than Zuccas was when we wanted to have dinner, yet we weren't allowed in the more mild atmosphere! Regardless of whatever rules, statutes, bylaws, etc. that Zucca's wanted to enforce, it was by far executed in the most tasteless way. No apology, no courtesy, no customer service, nothing. I completely understand why Zucca's in Decatur went out of business, I can only hope this one cleans up their act before they upset more and more customers.

I've only eaten there once and while the atmosphere isn't my thing, the food is good and they have the BEST HOMEMADE BLEU CHEESE DRESSING EVER!! It is so good I bought a container of it to take home. Then a few weeks later I bought a PINT of it to take to a party. It is that good! Thank you Zucca!

My review may be a little biased as i did not have food here. But! I had so much fun here! they have 2 bars which is kinda weird but awesome at the same time. We went last night for there annual "HOE-down" and wow it was pretty interesting! a lot of drunk hoes thats for sure! haha.. everyone seemed to be having a good time tho. They also have really great bartender/server who are very attentive!

Have eaten there 3 times now. It has the best pizza I have had in Atlanta. The atmosphere is casual and cozy...love the high backed booths. Service has always been great...very friendly and attentive. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think it is kind of pricy. Our bill (minus the tip) was $27.30 for a large Margherita Pizza, side Caesar Salad and a Diet Coke, however, the price is worth it if you want to splurge on a delicious pizza!

What isn't there to love about a place that serves great food, and after dinner hours the tables move aside and it becomes a dance floor? Girls night for wine and italian brought us to Zucca. Yummy trout "crunchies" salad was the special. Trout over a bed of spinach, served with a yummy viniagrette

Nice place and the waitress was really nice. The food is average. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars was the 30 minute wait for the food during lunch.

Great new york style pizza, with plenty of non-pizza options. Beautiful bar, great for happy hour or late night, when they have a DJ and a jamming club scene (for the burbs). Great lunch specials a well. Definitely one of the better pizza joints I've been to in greater ATL, Come and try it for yourself!

A very solid pizzeria that I'm glad to have close by. The Victory Pie was good but the Clam Pizza (white) was my favorite by far. It's something about the garlic/oil/cheese overload that is awesome, but I guess you could say that about anything. The pastas are also very good and the prices are right in the middle of the road. I waited to review this because I've only been for the late-night bar atmosphere but it's worth mentioning this place gets pretty packed, and it's great to hang around with friends. Good beer selection but there's still some cheap stuff if you want it.

Went there for dinner last night... tasty and a good, relaxed atmosphere. My husband and I split two chicken dishes and the couple we went with split a calzone and the pasta special. All were quite tasty... would definitely return! The one strange thing was that it basically turned into a club at 10pm. Lights went down, DJ started, and people were grinding on the dance floor... definitely an unexpected (but amusing) twist to the end of the evening).

We went in on a Sunday night about 6:35. We loved the atmosphere with the live music, sounded great in there. We ordered an appetizer, the antipasto, it was way too salty and the meats were tough to eat, I felt embarrassed having to shove the whole piece of beef in my mouth because it would not break off. The pizza was better than the appetizer by far. Not my favorite pizza, but it was good enough to give it 3 stars. We ordered some canolis and tiramisu. Neither were authentic. The canoli had runny mascarpone and I have never seen or tasted Tiramisu like the one they served us. The Tiramisu was like a bread pudding. Go for the pizza, skip dessert and appetizer We are not going to go back to this restaurant.

Saturday nights at Zucca is the spot for a fun field evening with your friends. They turn the restaurant into a dance floor and Next Level entertainment dj's come in and spend the hot music everyone can groove to. They always play great music that is sure to have you up and dancing. The drinks are guaranteed to get you right and reasonable priced just in case I ever had to pay, ladies you know what time it is. The atmosphere is friendly and diverse. I've been several times for the past year and half and I have yet to be disappointed. If your looking for good music, lively people, outstanding drinks and a memorable Saturday evening you should head on over to Zucca.

I had a chance to experience the Zucca bar and pizzeria a few weeks back me and my bf were trying to find a nice bar/ place to eat out and enjoy the night and we ended up here. Service was good, I ordered the baked ziti, that after the first few bites turned dry. My bf, wanted wings that weren't on the menu but we saw at another table and when I first asked to order them our waiter said they don't serve wings until I pointed out that the table next to us had wings. The waiter did tell us, at 10pm the floor is cleared and the dj comes and it turns into a big party. We stayed a little after the dj arrived, and decided to leave. It must of been a slow night or maybe it gets crowded a little later being that they stay open late. Overall decent bar however I wish we would've checked out the tavern next door.

My friends and i went to Zucca last Saturday. I really really want to like this place but i just can't.They had some drinks specials which was great but the food and service was awful! We ordered wings and regular fries. It took a while to get our food (i guess it was a busy night). The food comes to our table and the wings were hot and o.k. The fries... they were very dark brownish blackish in color. We tried to eat them but they tasted awful and they were cold. I waited for or server to come back and i told him about the fries (very politely) and he just picked them up, gave me this angry look and left. After some minutes another server brought us fries. Guess what they were the same set of fries but now they had warmed them. So what we ended up with was burned warmed up fries!!!! Needless to say i had a really terrible experience

The victory pie is really good. However some of the other pies don't quite measure up. The place is usually packed and can have some wait times, but it's a lively atmosphere that seems like a great place to just hang out with friends drinking beer and eating pizza.

Great atmosphere, nice setup. The pizza was a bit bland & to be honest I felt we over paid for the pizza given the lack of flavor. If you like simple/ bland pizza this is your place.

I'm underwhelmed. The Victory Pie, which is supposedly "award winning", was seriously lacking in flavor. I think the "award" was probably created on the owner's computer, like Michael Scott's "World's Best Boss" mug he bought for himself. One of my friends said he paid $9 for a beer, although I can't remember what brand. My ginormous bottle of Newcastle was only $5.20, though, which makes me think he might have been drunk to the point of not seeing/thinking clearly. But the calamari was good, and the bread is to die for. I had to make myself stop eating it. But be warned - I think around 10 this place becomes a crazy dance club/bar. It started out with just a couple of people on the dance floor, then I blinked, and the place was packed. It's only quiet and romantic for a set period of time, and then it becomes any other place filled with people who put way too much effort into getting ready. Oh, but I should really give props to the bartenders. They were SO nice, and always running around in a frenzy (which you should be when the place is packed like it was). I was seriously impressed with them.

Gotta give credit to my boy Aron and his girl Tomeika for this one. After a night of bowling, we all decided that we wanted some "midnight pizza". While I had been gravitating to Mellow Mushroom after having a pretty good BBQ Chicken pie from there, I went ahead and went with Aron's suggestion of Zucca. Id seen the spot in passing, but never even considered going in there to grab a bite to eat. For what? I didnt even know they served pizza at this place. But I quickly came to realize that this place had the best NY style pizza that I had experienced in Atlanta. Greasy--- check, Big-- check, hot-- check--- great ingredients--check, promise to come back-- ASAP check! THis place, like all the other spots in this lil area in Smyrna, gets pretty rowdy late at night. But if you want to see a bunch of kids from Suburbia "crank dat soulja boy" this is the best place to get your laugh on! The spot also has a few pool tables, and a pretty decent bar. But honestly, you can just go and pick up this damn pizza and take it back to the house...its more than worth it.

I really liked Zucca! A girlfriend and myself came here one night, she had the chicken gorgonzola and really enjoyed it. It looked rich and creamy. I ordered the fusilli with eggplant; I don't know that I've mentioned this in any other review, but I think eggplant is the food of the gods. Whenever eggplant appears on a menu (except for maybe the typical eggplant parm.) I order it! The atmosphere was really comfy. We ate outside (we clearly dined here in warmer weather) on the patio and it was very peaceful and quiet. I didn't take a good look at the interior of the place, but I'm pretty sure they had a full bar. I can't wait to come back here and try their pizzas.

I have been here with groups and then just the two of us. Good all times. I have tried the Pizza, Calzones, Risotto Balls (I agree with another review a bit on the bland side), Salad (love the house dressing)and Pasta. To me the pizza is the best - never disappoints. Service is always good.

NY corner slice review: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. This place has the makings of a good pie, but I am not convinced just yet. A very surprising first taste but ended on a sour note. The order: risotto balls and a large half cheese/half pepperoni pie. The risotto balls were decent, a little bland but I still devoured them within a minute or two. After all, these are risotto balls and there is not much better (for me) than risotto stuffed with mozz, breaded and deep fried. The sauce it came with to dip was weak and thin and I was hoping that wasn't a sign of things to come for the za. The za came out and it looked good. Piping hot, good cheese melt and slightly charred. It had its weaknesses: not charred enough on the bottom and although overall crispy, the center was way too soft. Too much cheese as well although it was a good cheese that pulled away as you bite into it. The sauce was very good and the flavor of the crust was very nice as well. The pepperoni side however, was a completely different animal. It was really bad. The pepperoni taste really overwhelmed the pie which is unusual, very greasy and ruined the flavor of the za. Baaaddd pepperoni. I'll have to go back to try the margarita za. NY Style? Yes. NY taste? No. But definitely a great tasting crust with quality cheese and sauce and enters my top 10. I'll be back, locked and loaded for an updated review! I give it 'average cheese in Atlanta' rating...from the NY Pizza Guy.

Stopped in here for lunch during the Jonquil festival. I had a Sausage Roll which I enjoyed. If we come back for dinner, we'll try the pizza. Always on the lookout for good pizza. :) The service at Zucca was fine and the prices were reasonable. The patio area looks nice, but since we'd been out in the sun, we decided to eat inside. Judging from the tabletop placed over the pool table, it looks like this place might be more of a bar than a restaurant at night.

This place has awesome pizza! They patio is great in the summer. The booths in the dining area are nice and large so you are not crammed can easily fit 6 people in larger booths. They have a large table in the center you can reserve for larger groups. I would recommend Zucca to anyone. Get the pizza!

Zucca is a great Smyrna treat!!! They have some of the best foccacia (free with a dinner order) and lasagna! Add a good glass of wine and you are in for a yummie dinner! Weekend can be a bit crowded, but the crowd is great! PS. If you get the lasagna to go, it is enough for 2.

Zucca greets you at the door with an emblem stating that they won some international pizza competition. Whenever I see things like that, honestly, my inner cynic takes over and I think something along the lines that "eventually anybody can find a contest they can win." Zucca, however, squashed my inner cynic. The pizza was really, really good. REALLY. We had the margerita, which is the meatless version of the pizza that won said contest, and it was lovely. Decent cheese, great sauce, a thin crispy (but not too crispy or too burned - two of my frequent issues) crust, and it had a good amount of basil on it. YUM-MY! He just loves tiramisu, so we tried that, too. He thought it was too sweet, but still really good. I thought it was good, but I'm not passionate about tiramisu like he is. Our waitress was fantastic - funny, attentive without being annoying, and quick. The only thing not to love was that it was freezing in there. We may have stayed longer, ordered another drink, etc., but I was too cold. Try it. You'll like it. :)

Went there Sat night around 11pm. First time in year since I've been back. Looks like they clear the tables out at night and turn into a mini club. Party hadn't really started inside, just DJ playing and people milling around. We just came to get some food, so we went outside to the patio where it was quieter. Nice patio area. By that time looks like they just had a late night menu aka bar food. No problems with that...too bad the pizza we ordered tasted no better than cheap microwave dinner pizza. Very disappointed since my prior experiences in the past the food was excellent. I live about a 1/2 mile away...with other options nearby, not likely I'll dine here again. Note, service was friendly but seems like they only had one server for the patio, which means she at times forgot about us....including getting our round of beers we ordered.

I've been to this location a few times and it's always been really good. Today, I decided to try the risotto balls. As previous reviews say, they were a bit bland (I used all the sauce it came with, which is rare, since I'm like the only Italian on the planet that doesn't really care for red sauce). Some friends had pizza that looked delicious, my hubby had the chicken parm roll (which was good, I snagged a bite) and another friend had a veggie calzone, which was HUGE! She said it was good too! I've had their fried eggplant and zucchini here and it is really good too! Definately worth giving them a try. They lose a star for the service though, it always seems to be a bit slow.

I stopped in to kill an hour while waiting on a customer to show up for an appt. I ordered the Caesar and the personal pizza. The Caesar was yum yum. Great Seasoning and good dressing to leaf ratio. The pizza there is good, and it reminds me of the pizzerias in Venezuela. Good cheesiness when needed. They did take a shitload of time to make this, and I ended up inhaling the slices then taking the rest. The womens' Baskeball games on tv in a nearly empty bar was unbearable. There are some sports...women should not play. I should have had a few drinks!!

I have to correct "Morgan M." because Zucca isn't in Village Green. It's in Market Village which is next door to Village Green. Sorry, Morgs. No offense! :) Anyway, I couldn't agree with her more. The pizza here is awesome and if you're in the mood for some spectacular Italian cuisine, don't stop with the pizza. Everything I've had there has been unbelievable! Chicken parmigiana. Chicken piccata. Chicken marsala. Their chicken dishes are so good that there are times when I think that I'm going to start clucking because I eat so much of it! It's connected to Vintage Tavern which is definitely for the younger (read: 20-something) crowd but Zucca still attracts is share of "lookers" especially when the weather is warm and the patio and outdoor bar are open. They used to have Turtle Races on Tuesday nights here (stick a beer label on the shell of three turtles and they're off to the races) but not sure if that's still happening. The bar area is great with plenty of room even on the busiest days. "Bubba" (I think his name is Stephen, but he never answers to that) is a great bartender and reminds me a lot of the old bartending crew with the smart-mouth at Manuel's Tavern many years ago! Its not offensive at all. More endearing than anything. He'll joke around with you if he likes you. Ask him to blow up the surgical glove with his nose and you'll be rolling on the floor laughing! Bravo! I dare say this is some of the best Italian cuisine I've had outside of Little Italy (NY). It definitely beats the heck out of the LaGrottas and the like in Buckhead and MUCH more affordable!! They're kid-friendly and you really don't have to worry about your kid making too much noise. It is loud in there but nothing too disturbing. Take a drive out to Smyrna and enjoy some KILLER Italian food!!

Smyrna may be a small town with a lot of growth on the way, but Zucca is one of my favorite places in Atlanta. It is right in Village Green off of Atlanta Road, but you feel like you are in the middle of a community. They know the locals and the patio is the best! Sangria is the best I have found in Atlanta... not too sweet and very refreshing. Have not had all of their food, but the salads are great, apps are fantastic and the pizza is what they are known for.

I really like the pizza here, especially the Margherita - thin and crispy crust with tasty sauce and toppings. They are also good about special requests, like when I asked them to make a vegetarian version of one of their pasta specials. Menu: zuccaonline.com/pages/di… More reviews: tripadvisor.com/Restaura…

Yo, New Yawk style Italian in Smyrna of all places. Fun, casual, and simple food in a pleasant atmosphere. Gourmet it ain't, but pleasing for sure.

This is my second time eating at Zucca - once with Tara H and now once with my husband. I had to bring my husband because we are both from NY/NJ and I knew he would love it. He was not disappointed! We each had 2 slices with Italian sausage crumbled on top. It was REALLY good and tasted like authentic NY-style pizza. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant at 1:45pm and were surprised because with that great of a pizza - and price - they should have had a line out the door! Slices are $2 each for regular and $3 each for Sicilian. Toppings are divided between regular and premium and vary in price. We paid a total of $13 for four slices with sausage and two Diet Cokes. The menu looks fantastic and we plan to come back to sample some of their other dishes!

The best American/New York Style pizza in Atlanta (in fact the only one I can eat). Salads are fresh and have the right about of dressing including a house made dressing (a must for any serious restaurant in my opinion). Staff is friendly. Temperature is often too cold both in Winter and Summer, but the marinara sauce is just about perfect and not all tomato pasty like a lot of places.

I'm A FAN and JT is the man with the Plan!!!! My friend and I ended up getting out late this past Thursday night and it seems like no one wanted to serve us. We arrived around 9:45 at The Corner Tequeria and was basically told by this female bartender that the kitchen was about to close, I asked what time, she says 10, which would have given us about 15 mins to order.... But..... That's an entire different review. Lol.... We ended up going next door to the Vintage Tavern and JT came over to take our order. He was cool, he handed us a few menus and he said the kitchen will close soon, I told him I wanted some food food and not bar food so he then told us to follow him ... He walked us over to Zucca but he was still our waiter, seems like the two restaurants are attached somehow and even though they closed at 10pm he was still willing to serve us. Great service!!!! I ended up ordering the seafood chambota, which is a really great dish, a bit spicy but very very tasty. My friend ordered the lobster ravioli and chicken parmesan sliders for appetizers. We also order a couple of cocktails. Everything was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The place is dark and cozy, they have a full bar and a juke box ( how great is that?). Even though we were seated in the bar area, I notice how nice the booths were, they have TVs in every booth and the decor is every interesting - see pics..the service was fantastic!!!!! I will definitely be back, I promised JT that we will be back for pizza.

I guess we should've left when we were greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke from the bar adjacent to the restaurant. But the place was fairly busy and how bad can it be? Well it wasn't terrible, but it was bad. Our waitress was nice but kept apologizing for the "wait." There was never any wait, until she disappeared when we needed our bill. I guess her apology was preemptive. The food was some of the most blah Italian food I've ever had. The risotto ball appetizer was two balls of lukewarm fried risotto. My eggplant parm was mushy. My side salad came with parmesan cheese that came out of a can. Canned parmesan cheese? I don't think so. My husband's stromboli was way too greasy. The atmosphere was way too much like a sports bar between the cigarette smoke and the tv's everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE like at your booth. Some people may go for that reason and that's fine, but not my personal style. Life is too short to eat bad Italian food. So don't.

I used to love this place. Not anymore. Service was good, but it couldn't compensate for the abysmal food. I ordered a shrimp scampi dish that I literally took only three bites of. It was a huge bowl of flavorless pasta with equally flavorless shrimp on top. The shrimp were so overcooked it was criminal. My husband's pasta was supposed to have a cream sauce. What arrived at the table was penne in a bath of scalding hot watery milk. How is it possible to get Italian food this wrong? The food here used to be prepared with love and passion. I have no idea who is working in the kitchen now, but they should be ashamed of the sloppy, flavorless food they are turning out. Icing on the cake was the smallest pour if wine I have had...EVER!

I thought the food was amazing. We ordered a salad to accompany the meal that came with eggplant, squash, tomatoes, olives, romaine lettuce, and onions. It didn't even need dressing b/c the toppings were already flavorful. We also ordered a large pizza (build your own) with pineapple, artichokes, and spinach. SOOOOO GOOD! I was stuffed after two slices. It's not an overly "bready" sort of pizza---more thin crust if anything. Service was great and our waitress was attentive. If you're ever in the Smyrna area, this is the place to go for pizza!

It's hard to rate a place below one star as both the awful food and abysmal service by "Megan" were in a race to the bottom. I came there with my date at 2:30 pm on the Sunday of the Jonquil Festival; and the inside was empty and the patio only had 2-3 other tables occupied. It took "Megan" well over 10 minutes to come around to drop off menus & take our drink order, for an overpriced pitcher of cider. Then, it took her another 10 minutes to take our order for two slices of "Sicilian" pizza. There were actually two waitstaff -- "Megan" and a guy who was (I guess) the manager; and the guy just stood there while Megan yukked it up with other guests. When the "pizza" FINALLY arrived, it was something out of an elementary school lunchroom, with a frozen crust and just a thin semi-transparent layer of sauce that looked & tasted like cheap ketchup... And a taste that took me back to 6th grade public school. I left a two cent tip, which was generous.

Food is really good. Service is sometimes slow. Typically worth the wait. Pizza is the best in the area. Pasta is decent.

I lived in new Jersey my entire life, so I'm used to good tasting pizza. Moving to Georgia I learned every pizza joint claims to be new York style pizza. Zuccas is the only place that taste exactly like new York pizza. Don't waste your time. If you want good pizza, come to this place.

I came here on a Friday lunch with a large group of, like, 20. While I understand a large group can be hard to accomodate at the last minute, it just felt like the pizzas took an inordinately long time to get to the table. Maybe it's because I was famished, so I know for certain that might tastebuds probably weren't so picky once the pizza did arrive. Without further ado, here's what I ate: A slice of White pizza. This looked delicious as I could see these large round slices of mozza on the top of the pizza. The pizza was definitely thin but it felt kind of tasteless especially near the crust. I almost didn't want to eat the crust but then I remembered how my mom taught me from a young age to not waste food, so I finished it, haha. Then I had a slice of the 42nd St Pizza which is basically the White pizza with sundried tomatoes and pesto. This definitely tasted much better and my group certainly had a better reaction to the pizza. Lastly, I had half a slice of the Buffalo pizza. Here's the weird thing: I could smell buffalo sauce, but then I didn't taste any of it on the pizza. I'm not sure if it's because my half-slice missed it, but I was expecting to taste what I smelled. It wasn't bad though. Overall, the pizzas were greasier than Mellow Mushroom's. I wasn't impressed and this location is a bit far from me, so I don't foresee myself coming back. However, service was great despite how long it seemed to take for pizza to arrive.

Just tried it again after months of a hiatus. Hottest day in Atlanta and it was muggy and hot inside. Only thing worse was our empty glasses and poor service. Beer was not cold, but Chicken Parmesan pizza was the best ever as always. We are local and get frustrated that Zucca cannot be a consistent enjoyable experience. Food is amazing. For now on, TAKE OUT.

Awesome pizza and good. You really need to try the buffalo calamari. Buffalo chicken pizza is unreal as well. Unfortunately it turns into a dance club and night. It didn't use to be so bad but the groups that go there have changed

Its cool...no big deal here. I like the bar scene...plus I live close by so I'll give it another shot. One thing I wont give another shot...those Risotto Balls. No. There isn't enough cheese in the balls so its like eating a lot of rice looking pasta...in a fried ball. More cheese=success. Artisan pizza is okay...didn't knock my socks off. Maybe I need to try their pizza thats thicker slice...ill update on my next visit.

I love coming here but the smell of smoke coming from the other bar is always a let down. Can't they get the smoke smell from coming into the restaurant.

I ordered a slice with the tater tots...the food was good and reasonably priced. My drink was aight for $6 but honey, who knew this was a club are 10 p.m. ?? The DJ was just ok...played a little of everything. Not my type of crowd to be honest. I don't ever have to go back...like, never.

This isn't going to be a good review so brace yourselves... We had a big party so they did seat us well and were nice about it. The waitress was nice in the beginning. Took our drink order then our food. Drinks came out at a decent time and so did the food. Didn't have a long wait at all, for a party of ~15. Food = gross. The sauce on the pasta was way too watery and just a bunch of chunky tomatoes. The other dishes my husband and sister got, they weren't pleased with theirs either, and for the cost it could have been better. The best part is at the end. So, we know its a big party so gratuity is added on. She brings us our check and we pay $20 cash and the rest on a card. When she comes up we explain that the $20 cash is for our tab, and the remaining goes on the card. Simple right......? Well, home girl decides to only put $9 out of our $20 and cashes the rest as her "tip"? The remaining on the card doesn't add up to what we gave her. Seems like we've been waiting forever for her to come and ask her to correct this, but she never comes. Finally my husband goes up to her and says "Seems like you made a mistake on our tab, you didn't apply the full $20 only $9, so we should get $11 in change or deducted from the total bill off the credit card". Her response was, with attitude, "I'm a little busy, and the mistake was my managers fault". Hmm...... ok, well either way, you didn't come back to us to let us know, AND I highly doubt a manager would make such a mistake and not apologize for it. After that she then brought my husband the right amount, but still adamant that it was the managers mistake. So make sure you check your tab at the end of your meal folks! Sticky fingers at this place!

The pizza and salad were fine and they have a fair beer selection. The service was outstanding. There are personal TV's at every booth which is NOT our style (we don't have TV at home so it was pretty unnatural for us) but if you're a big sports fan I imagine this would be a great place to watch a game.
(3)
Beau C.
Really disappointed in the calzone and the pasta dish my dining mate had. Service was pretty lame too (and it was a slow night). Probably a decent spot for watching a game on tv as the booths each have their own tv but I would look elsewhere.

This place has some of the best pizza around. It's thin crust, sort of like New York style, but not quite. Go for plain cheese or the Margarita. There's a nice non-smoking bar inside and a pleasant outdoor patio. We've always had a good time here for lunch or dinner; after 10pm some nights they move the tables to have a dance floor, though, and then it gets a little weird, IMHO, so I avoid it then.

Tasty and reasonably priced NY-style pizza by the slice so good it's like potato chips - you can't just one! Really friendly service. Sports over the speaker in the bar. What's not to like?!

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

(4)Jamie M.
Really great neighborhood pizzeria! Great atmosphere. (All the booths have personal little TVs with remotes!) Great friendly service! The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because I was not blown away by the food. Certainly not the best, but still very good.
(4)JT A.
(2)Bonnie B.
A good place to show up in workout clothes!! The thin crust pizza here is very, very good! The wine selection is nice as well. Zucchini is a great spot in fabulous Smyrna !
(3)Sammy J.
(2)Wendy M.
two words: VICTORY PIE No other pizza in the Smyrna/Marietta area even comes close. If you ask DH he will say one word: BROCOLLI and it really is that good... glad this is in the hood....
(4)Michael B.
(4)Joe B.
(4)Holly C.
good (not great) pizza that is close to home. full bar and $5 Bacardi drink specials :)
(3)Alexa G.
(2)Charisse M.
(4)Kisha M.
(2)Jang C.
(4)Jerome W.
(3)Rogers E.
I have enjoyed every visit to Zucca. The flavors are great and the pizza perfect. Service staff are excellent and attentive. They even have these great booths with SAT tv. I recommend it.
(5)Hannah C.
(4)Mahsa G.
(4)Erika E.
(4)Sheila G.
(1)M R.
(4)Mitchy B.
(4)Kelley G.
(4)Kathy H.
(4)Brandon L.
Nice place and the waitress was really nice. The food is average. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars was the 30 minute wait for the food during lunch.
(2)Dave R.
Pizza was all black and severely charred, forgot toppings we paid for too... But they did comp our meal. Sent manager pics
(1)Stuart W.
(4)Milo D.
The pizza is great. Nice to see someone sell thick slice pizza for 3 bucks. Good wedge salad too. My 4 year old only likes Zucca

(4)Joshua K.
Great atmosphere, nice setup. The pizza was a bit bland & to be honest I felt we over paid for the pizza given the lack of flavor. If you like simple/ bland pizza this is your place.
(2)Kelly S.

Great new york style pizza, with plenty of non-pizza options. Beautiful bar, great for happy hour or late night, when they have a DJ and a jamming club scene (for the burbs). Great lunch specials a well. Definitely one of the best pizza joints I've been to in greater ATL, Come and try it for yourself!

(4)Lesa T.

(3)Bill S.
(3)Adree O.
Ya know what. i like the Decatur Square location much better. it was just not good.
(3)Chris h.
This place has awesome pizza! They patio is great in the summer. The booths in the dining area are nice and large so you are not crammed can easily fit 6 people in larger booths. They have a large table in the center you can reserve for larger groups. I would recommend Zucca to anyone. Get the pizza!
(5)Ryan F.
Came here and while they have many delectable sounding items on the menu, had the pizza. It was delicious and something like $16 for a large. That's a good deal for a good pie these days (IMO)
(4)Jessica S.
Went here on a date. Had the victory pie it was good nothing to brag abt. Loved the tvs everywhere, good place to go watch the game. Waitress was nice too
(3)Andria M.
(4)Anne H.

(2)Tara H.
They lose a star for the service though, it always seems to be a bit slow.

the line at brick store was really long so me and my wife hopped in here and wow...what a cool place! we have been back twice with no complaints! The bartender learns your name and is genuine. Come and have a great time here (oh the anti-pas-to is fantabulous)
(5)Michelle B.
By far the best pizza outside of NY!
(5)Hambri Enta M.
(4)Adam S.
Been here a couple times and always been good. Very relaxed environment, good food, lots to drink, and an outdoor seating. Only problem: nearby train tracks.
(4)Mel G.
(5)Morgan M.
(4)Vegetarian V.

(3)Christine D.
(4)Marc V.
(4)Karo R.

So don't.
(2)Angela G.
(1)Annie L.
(4)Dan S.
(1)Burt K.
Food is really good. Service is sometimes slow. Typically worth the wait. Pizza is the best in the area. Pasta is decent.
(4)Brett L.
I lived in new Jersey my entire life, so I'm used to good tasting pizza. Moving to Georgia I learned every pizza joint claims to be new York style pizza. Zuccas is the only place that taste exactly like new York pizza. Don't waste your time. If you want good pizza, come to this place.
(5)Joesph P.
We really like this place. The food is constantly good and the atmosphere is great. It's so a good place to go on the late night.
(4)Carolina M.
(3)Joe P.
(1)Justin W.
Awesome pizza and good. You really need to try the buffalo calamari. Buffalo chicken pizza is unreal as well. Unfortunately it turns into a dance club and night. It didn't use to be so bad but the groups that go there have changed
(4)Tristan A.
(3)Kim E.
I love coming here but the smell of smoke coming from the other bar is always a let down. Can't they get the smoke smell from coming into the restaurant.
(3)Nikki L.
(3)Jessica G.
(1)Kat W.
The pizza and salad were fine and they have a fair beer selection. The service was outstanding. There are personal TV's at every booth which is NOT our style (we don't have TV at home so it was pretty unnatural for us) but if you're a big sports fan I imagine this would be a great place to watch a game.
(3)Beau C.
Really disappointed in the calzone and the pasta dish my dining mate had. Service was pretty lame too (and it was a slow night). Probably a decent spot for watching a game on tv as the booths each have their own tv but I would look elsewhere.
(2)Jennifer L.
(4)Honest A.
Tasty and reasonably priced NY-style pizza by the slice so good it's like potato chips - you can't just one! Really friendly service. Sports over the speaker in the bar. What's not to like?!
