I was seated with no waiting. So much to select from that I ordered based on seeing someone else's order. The Tuk Tuk noodles with chicken was delicious, fresh, with crispy tender vegetables. More than I could eat and all for $10! The staff was great and the young host is a delight with a passion-take time to speak with him. Only in Savannah for a week but will go back!!

Excellent service and fantastic menu. The service is great. Varied menu so even if you don't like Asian food you have some choices. I'm kinda picky, but I was pleasantly surprised. You are getting fresh made food and can customize your food. I'll certainly be back!

Didn't want to eat at the hotel we ran across the street to Fire Street food. Clean with a hipster crowd, a Thai chipolte. If you have never had Thai then this is perfect for you, a starter Thai. The pots tickers were good and came out quickly. The chicken noodle soup had good flavor. The rolls are simple as is all the food on the menu. Simple flavors not close to authentic Thai places but a great place to discover if you like this type of food. The.pad Thai was nice, moist chicken and just a little different than what we are used to. Staff is nice but a little unorganized. Overall good but have had better.

Stopped by here because we magically found parking right in front of the restaurant. With prime parking and the restaurant's close proximity to the theatre; we just felt it was the most convenient place to dine. When entering the restaurant, I honestly felt like I was in cutesy froyo store with the way it was decorated. Anyway, we told the hostess we wanted to dine in and we were seated right away. Our server was sweet and bubbly, and was very helpful in choosing entrees. I went with the kobe burger with a side salad and the bf got tofu yellow curry. I ordered the kiwi green tea and it was really refreshing! Soon enough our food came out and we were able to enjoy. My burger was delicious with the it's flaky croissant bun and juicy meat patty. The side salad was tasty too with it's fresh fruits and tangy dressing. My bf was satisfied with his curry, but it was definitely missing a certain depth of flavor. I like how this restaurant is a casual place, which is what I wanted. Are the dishes authentic? No, it's asian fusion. There's always going to be a disconnect between what you want and what you get, but you can't blame a restaurant for trying to appeal to the majority flavor profile.

I came here as a visitor from out of town with a local friend in Savannah. He said he had heard pretty good things about this place, and as true foodies, we wanted to check it out. The only word I can use to describe my experience is... underwhelming. So I understand that this place is more of an Asian fusion joint. I'm Asian-American myself (more specifically Lao-American), but I'm down with Asian fusion as long as the flavors are good. Being Laotian, I was super intrigued by the Laos egg noodle soup on the menu. The description of the dish didn't really sound familiar to me, but I thought I'd try it just to see if it had any resemblance to Lao soups. Let me just go ahead and say, that it did not. It was kind of a weird blend of pho with wonton noodles, bok choy, Chinese bbq pork, and Vietnamese pork loaf (that meat on basically every Vietnamese dish). It didn't taste terrible or anything like that, but I have no idea what association that dish has with Lao food. The broth itself wasn't as savory as I would have liked, but then again I have no idea what taste I'm trying to compare this dish to, since it is not really related to anything I'm familiar with. When I think of Lao food, I think of lots of cilantro, green onions, chili peppers, and mint. This dish had nothing of the sort. My friend's Thai yellow curry bowl was WAY too sweet, which is weird because Thai curry is not supposed to be sweet like some curries in other countries. The rice was kind of too mushy, and the curry itself was also pretty bland. When I think of Asian fusion, I think of Asian flavors that inspire a new dish. But if you're going to serve a traditional dish, you shouldn't change the flavors too much.

I met a friend here over the weekend and we're able to sit down right away. The staff was overall really friendly but the food was not great. And Even while the place was not busy it took a long time for food to arrive and service was slow. I had the pad thai which was not disgusting but not delicious either. The chicken tasted a little wierd. I cannot speak for my friend but she was not happy with her choice of the fire house wrap either but swears the sushi is good. I'm always willing to try a place twice and perhaps I'll get the sushi next time instead. I chose to rate it a three for overall friendliness of the staff but otherwise I was not impressed with anything else. Perhaps next time I will have better luck with my food choice and give a better rating.

if you want your order done wrong (3 out of 4 times here) and the waitress to just walk right on past, ignoring you then this place is for you. Getting your drinks is easy, but order everything you want at the start since you won't get another chance. When we were done, we were left trying to get the bill. When it finally came, it was someone else who brought the bill even though we could see our waitress clearly.

Everything I get here is amazing and I'm completely addicted to their bubble tea. My only complaint is that it is slightly over priced.

Came here as part of the Savannah Food Tour. We enjoyed the curried shrimp skewers. FRESH tasting fish and vegetables. Thoroughly enjoyed our tasting!

  • Kayla L.

My sister and I first decided to go here because bubble tea was on the menu. So I first have to recommend getting it (we got Thai tea bubble tea, delicious). We then got the Ellis roll sushi for an appetizer which was also great! She got pad Thai for her entree and I got teriyaki chicken. It was so much food that we both brought leftovers home! Great prices, each entree was only $8, and the sushi was only $7. Go here if you're looking for reasonably priced Asian food!

Great place. Plenty of choices. Fast, friendly service. I had the seaweed salad and Savannah roll. Very good, very fresh, great flavor, good portions. Plenty of good beer choices too.

Awesome Asian fusion place! I was surprised by how developed the flavors were. Both the service and the boba tea can be great or terrible depending on the day. I always get the tuk tuk noodles. With chicken it's delicious, not too much actual meat though. I recommend getting it with tofu instead, which is very tasty comes in a greater quantity, and is also very tasty.

  • Autumn C.

Good food for a reasonable price. Service is a little slow, but the food is good for its price. Bubble tea is a plus since it's a little hard to find in Savannah.

  • Vanessa R.

I had the spider roll, strawberry daiquiri, and yellow curry and all three were very delicious! Our server was very sweet and attentive, she brought us a variety of spices to add some heat to our curry which allowed us to customize the flavor a little. It was a beautiful night and we chose to sit outside, good experience overall. I will be visiting again. I am giving four stars instead of five because I have had a lot of asian/fusion food and although I would rank this one highly (especially in comparison to other Asian restaurants in the Savannah area) it's just not quite a 5 star place in my opinion. Nonetheless I am interested in testing out a few other items on the menu, it was tasty and a good value, large portions.

Love this place the food is amazing I definitely recommend the pad Thai! So good the sushi also looked very good so that's what I want to get next time and they have bubble tea!!!! Can't wait to return we had a lot of fun and the decor is awesome.

Awesome Sushi. If we want sushi this is where we get it. They have a pretty simple limited menu when it comes to Sushi, but it is by far the cheapest in town. Everyone can find something that they like. they recently changed their image a little and became a sit down restaurant. Which caused their prices to raise about a dollar, but they are still the cheapest. Great for takeout!

    (5)
  • Jeremy J.

I used to love Fire until they tried to change it into a sit-down restaurant. Normally that wouldn't be such a big deal, but the staff is poorly trained and constantly making mistakes. i.e. - ordering green curry and receiving red curry, or waiting 5 minutes just to get a menu. Food is delicious though

  • Carrie S.

This place was on our walking food tour of Savannah. So glad it was! Very energetic atmosphere. Decor has a fun, retro feel. It appeared very popular with the locals. We didn't get to see the full menu but was told it is comprised of a unique food truck combination of Asian dishes. We tried the chicken skewers and would vote going back for more on our next trip to the city. Try it!!!

  • Daniel D.

Simply amazing what a great twist of favors that all complemented each other perfectly, priced right, clean. I will be back again and again. Don't forget the bubble tea. Don't ask me what's in it just get me another.

  • Marley G.

Love this place! The portion sizes are sharable or take some home sizes and are reasonably priced for what you get. The curries are creamy and delicious with meats and veggies and rice done just perfectly. The spring rolls are crispy and fresh and the service is friendly and fast. Highly recommended.

Hidden away on East Perry is this place, I only noticed it as I passed by. Modern minimalist decor with excellent food, I'm glad I wandered in. The menu is varied and they catered to the American in me with side orders of fries. I had the lemon pepper chicken and will try the rest of the menu at some point.

  • Steve K.

Had a looooooooooooooooooooooooong wait. Yes, that long. We were starving by the time we got our food. The good news is that the food was pretty good--a Laos soup and a Kobe beef burger, both very satisfying. The sushi was so-so--obviously Americanized and with heavy sauces, but not disgusting. Sadly they were out of bubbles for boba tea.

  • James G.

The food is great! Teriyaki chicken and beef, curries, etc etc. We bring the kids here a lot when we come downtown.

I know this spot is known for their Sushi.. But dat burger. It's mean. Got it medium rare with mushroom, tomato, lettuce and provolone cheese. Burger cooked wonderfully, came with a good amount of fries and was served by a upbeat and personable staff. Love that they're allowed to get chummy with customers and want to - I feel awkward when I feel like I'm being served by robots. Went with some pals and we got 4 rolls of sushi for the table! We got: - 2 Alaskan Rolls - 1 Spider Roll - 1 Telfair Roll Another visit is must. Great atmosphere for friends with fair prices. The benches aren't crazy comfy (thanks, modern design) but I'm not complaining. Plus - loved the color scheme!

  • Jessica P.

Disappointed! Have had delicious meals here in the past. Restaurant did not smell clean when I entered which I had not encountered before. Ordered Teriyaki Chicken and steamed rice. The food did not smell fresh and also had a funky odor. I barely ate it. Sad to see the quality of food is no longer fresh.

Stopped into Fire Street Food based solely on the name. One of my favorite hometown restaurants is called "Fire", so that was enough to pull my wife and I in during our recent visit to savannah. It's not your typical southern food, but it is damn good. I went with the fried shrimp and crab sandwich. My wife had the grilled chicken. Both were amazing. Even though I had fries with my sandwich, I didn't leave filling gross from all the fried food. They do a great job of adding southern flare without giving you that feeling of regret. If you find yourself wandering the streets of Savannah looking for that Forrest Gump bench (which doesn't really exist), pop in here and enjoy a reasonably priced, tasty lunch.

amazing food ans sushi its the best place around dont go to anywhere else for japanese or sushi go here!!!!!! they are also amazing because they are the only place around that has bubble tea!!!

Food very tasty! Fresh ingredients. I recommend the house salad, the dressing is incredible. Nice place and atmosphere.

  • Boyan T.

This is a good restaurant. Clean environment. Friendly and kind staff. Great food with reasonable prices. They do need to learn that medium burger needs to have some pink in the middle. And so far they over cooked mine on two different occasions. However, I didn't complain.. I'm just saying.. All and all no one is perfect. This place is worth your time and money. Enjoy!

BEST SUSHI EVERRR!!!! I have never had better sushi! I ordered the Alaskan roll which is to die for. The atmosphere is very chic and cool. Definitely my favorite place for sushi.

  • Nicole W.

Loved the Savannah roll (red snapper and avocado) mmm... with some shrimp sauce! OH BOY OH BOY!!!! and pair it up with some steamed pork dumplings and you've got yourself a tasty meals filled with sweet, tangy and crunchy goodness!!! It happened again... I talk about sushi and NOW IM CRAVING IT! ONWARD!!! TO FIRE STREET!

  • Richard P.

Food was bland and the sever forgot our drinks for 15 minutes. It's more of a chipotle for Asian street foods, but under seasoned.

Came here for a quick lunch before I went to the airport. There service is outstanding and atmosphere of this place is very cool with bright orange chairs! I ordered the pad Thai and my boyfriend ordered red curry. We also ordered the spring rolls as an appetizers. Everything we ate was really good! Although my boyfriend did not mind, I was confused when my boyfriends curry came out since the rice was at the very bottom of the curry bowl. I am used to rice being on the side so if you don't like your rice already mixed in curry make sure you tell them. Overall, a little more pricy than I expected since they recently increased their prices but the food was excellent.

I dropped in here on a Tuesday night after reading a few fellow yelpers reviews and was in the mood for some authentic Asian cuisine. The atmosphere was very modern internally as the business is buried down a back alley in the center of old savannah. I ordered the Pad Thai and spring rolls- although most have raved about the shrimp and crab sandwich I thought that was a bit out of place for this venue. Overall, I can say it was average- the Thai was 3 pounds of noodles and about 4 small pieces of dry chicken however the spring rolls I thought had good taste and the right spices. I can't complain too much, the price was $14 and the portions are large. It was worth a visit and perhaps next time my choice will be better.

Fire Street Food is an Asian fusion semi fast food restaurant in downtown. The restaurant is pretty clean and modern on the inside and the service is very fast and friendly. You order at the counter and then they bring out the food to you. They offer various sushi rolls, salads, sandwiches, noodle dishes and curries. I ordered the beef teriyaki and my wife ordered the shrimp and crab sandwich. Both were pretty good but I think we ordered a little on the boring side. Next time I visit I want to try some of the sushi as other reviews on here have raved about it and I would like to try some of the Thai curries. Overall I recommend checking this place out. The prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food you get and the service is pretty quick.

  • James B.

Nice atmosphere, looks clean and reasonably busy. But the food service is amazingly slow. 10 minutes to first hello and then 30 minutes afterwards still no food.

Quite possibly the worst restaurant at which I've ever eaten. No atmosphere, terrible service & ill food.

Green Curry Flavor was killer! Good meal, good price! Off the beaten path and not a tourist haven. We'll be back.

I've been going to FIre since I moved to Savannah in 2012 and I like the burger, chicken and fried rice. Their "self service" style was pretty good and make it easier to eat, dine and leave. I also visit their other locations in town too. I took friends to FIre last Friday Jan 2 at 7:45 pm. Their new "Full Service" is really far away from that. Waitress walking around with food plates asking "who ordered what", no Fried Rice on a Friday Night (in an Asian restaurant!!!), "to go" plastic forks and knife while eating there, chicken was very dry and a Well Done Burger had blood everywhere. I ended up standing up, re-fill my soft drink as it was in the past and look for my silverware. I may try it one more time.

This restaurant is one of several that my family plans to sample in Savannah from the eat up magazine. There was a short wait to order at the counter. The menu was concise with a good variety. The options were fresh and affordable. The staff was extremely friendly and the food service was prompt. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean and stylish. As a family, we ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp, the Pitoon braised duck, the Nori roll, and seaweed salad. All were delicious. I really enjoyed the pad Thai. We did order a mango smoothie which was extremely sweet and had to be watered-down. I probably won't order a shake again, but I will absolutely go eat at fire street food again.

  • Cecil A.

I like the set up of this restaurant. Have been several times and it has always been quick and fresh. I am a big fan of their lemongrass chicken, but the sushi is very good too. Friendly and welcoming staff.

    (4)
  • Krystal R.

Pad Thai and the street noddles were awesome! Sushi selection is pretty small but the other food on the menu all looked great. Sister got a green smoothie, loved it. Good spot. Fun bright interior. Definitely will go again or even order take out.

Delicious food, portions were huge, and EXTREMELY friendly and helpful service. A delightful quick bite!

  • Anh L.

The food is cheap and somewhat tasty. I recommend the red curry, which is really good with lots of flavor and it has some bamboo shoots. Really exotic cuisine. The sushi is not so great, they put a lot of rice into the sushi, barely any fish or avocado. I can almost taste nothing but rice. I give 3 stars for this place.

    (4)
  • Gene S.

I used to come to Fire quite often. The food is good and usually quick. Tonight, however, it took 40 minutes for 4 sushi rolls to-go. I understand when a restaurant gets busy, things take time. However, we were clearly waiting for quite some time, with people that ordered after us leaving with their food, and no one from the wait staff made an effort to comfort us. At the 35 minute mark I asked the cashier what was going on and the sushi chef interrupted and said "there was a lot of sushi ahead of us." Asked for the manager and was pointed to a server that was clearly busy with a table. No apology. Nothing. We will not be coming back. There is better sushi and teriyaki in town.

    (2)
  • Kevin C.

Food was delicious and service excellent. I had the Thai chicken soup and the Firey Wrap with shrimp. I'm glad I stumbled on this place while visiting. It was a little awkward at first to figure out the system....you need to order at a register that isn't obvious and then food gets brought to wherever you are sitting. It wasn't that difficult but I needed to ask.

    (4)
  • Jaycie H.

I love me some Fire Street Food! This is a very clean establishment with modern decor. You order your food up front and take a number to your table and someone brings it to you. They serve sushi, skewers, salad, curry pad thai and so on. You can also grab a beer. I usually get the chicken teriyaki but I've had almost everything on the menu. The portions seem pretty large to me. Sometimes my husband and i share an entree. Who can complain? Fire is definitely worth checking out.

The decor was cool. Floors were a little dirty but the food was amazing. We will surely come back again soon. Great service as well

I have read mixed reviews on this place and I usually am not attracted to very hipster modern places but on a recommendation from a coworker I gave it a shot. While only eating at a place once it makes it hard to give a fair review I was impressed enough with my entrée that I felt I would go ahead. As many have said this is a window style ordering which did feel a bit odd compared to the overall vibe of the place but I get the concept of street food and the fact they are trying to merge and mimic that in this place. When thinking of street food most people think of hot dogs and pretzels often found in NYC but in todays age you can find 4 and 5 star quality food at cheap prices in street food and food trucks because of the lack of overhead. While this place is neither it is trying to play off that concept and offer dishes that are often found in that style of cuisine. As for the meal I asked the guy taking my order what there specialty was and he told me to try the Shrimp and crab sandwich. I decided to go with the Thai salad for a side rather than the fries. THIS SANDWHICH IS AMAZING! I was highly impressed and I was extremely happy I chose the option of the salad because if was awesome as well. I am on a personal quest to find the best sandwich in Savannah and this one is definitely on the short list. The vibe as I expected was a little to modern for my liking but this sandwich over rides therefore I will be back. I am a huge Green Curry fan and will have to try on my next visit.

Had a late lunch here today. Had the pan seared dumplings (potstickers) along with the spring rolls & Chicken Pad Thai - VERY GOOD!! My wife had the Skewered Chicken Salad with the Ginger & Dill dressings - VERY GOOD!! I also had the Wildberry Bubble Tea - interesting, but very good. Left there stuffed...will be back again. My wife loves the Ginger dressing.

  • Jennifer R.

Excellent meal. I have only ever ordered the edamame salad and that is because it rocks! $8 for a salad that can feed two people or a really hungry individual. The owners of Fire also own a few high end sushi-fusion restaurants and I think the quality is just as good at this "casual" location.

Delicious food and fast, friendly service! This place is excellent. We found it on accident and loved everything we ordered.

Came to Savannah to visit my BFF and we ended up walking here from his house. Decor was trendy and somewhat unexpected in Savannah but def inviting (I picture everything in Savannah with like southern charm and Cracker Barrel decor...it's an issue for me). I got the yellow curry and my girlfriend got some sushi. Food was really tasty and it came out pretty fast thanks to our kinda creepy/quirky waitress. After she brought our food out she was semi-hovering around our table and at one point when I was telling a story, she laughed and chimed in with a similar story. A little eavesdropping never hurt anyone but I did notice my story-telling ability suffered because I was afraid I would say something inappropriate. I should probably keep that in check regardless if the waitress is a hoverer. I digress... The food was tasty and the service is overly friendly so that is a winning combo in my book. Go try it out and let me know what you have so I can try it next time I am in town!

  • Charlie C.

Two words. Chicken teriyaki. You can't go wrong with this savory dish. It's cheap...less than $8 and is always ready in less than ten minutes. I was leaning towards three stars, but the fact the management throws in a free drink just for checking in on Yelp is deserving of another!

    (4)
  • Sherry G.

don't get the red curry, I think it's made with gizzards! I asked for breast meat & they wanted me to pay $4 more because I had already started eating the gizzard meat, but I didn't eat any of it, just 1 bite & realized it was all fatty & nasty! portions are small for the price too.

  • Jt D.

I always wanted to eat here, ever since I found this restaurant! I had the beef teriyaki today and it was excellent! By the time I thought of taking a picture for Yelp, I had finished lunch! The blood orange soda was also wonderful.

  • Kevin S.

Each time I been dragged to this restaurant, I feel like I have paid a lot for something made out of the cheapest ingredients possible and smothered in a tasty sauce so I won't notice. They do have one tea drink I like a lot but I forget what it is called. The one star is for that tea drink.

  • Julie W.

Street-style Asian food with heavy Thai influence. I had chicken skewers and a side of fried rice. The chicken was grilled with a bit of onion, pepper and carrot, and glazed with a sweetish curry sauce. Three skewers was plenty for lunch. The fried rice was lightly seasoned and had a small amount of peas, carrot, onion and egg. The portion was huge for $2. Everything was very fresh and well-prepared. You order at the counter here, and eat inside in a bright, airy space. Service was friendly and fast, and the restaurant is super clean.

Great place to go if everyone wants to eat something different! Great menu--burgers, Asian fusion--something for everyone. Lemongrass chicken highly recommended. And very nice staff! Clean place, quick service, delicious food.

LOVE this place! My husband and I ate here twice on vacation (and we rarely do that unless we find a spot we love) The fish sandwich and crab and shrimp sandwich are amazing. The salad and sushi rolls are also great. Super friendly staff. Easy ordering. Fair prices. Highly recommend!

  • Nicole H.

This place is great, food and drinks are tasty, fresh and filling but light! I had the crab and shrimp sandwich, side salad and kiwi green tea. Plenty of room to linger for a little while and clean modern decor. This place is def a gem in downtown.

  • Antonea C.

I love the concept of this small chain to support fresh and local food! They present traditional dishes from South East Asia in a hip new way while keep the authenticity of their foods. The ambiance is modern and hip and prices are inexpensive. The fried rice was the best!

  • Kirsten P.

Inedible curry chicken. So much gristle, fat and grossness that I literally had to pick all the chicken out of the dish. It was revolting. A colleague ordered the same thing and she didn't even bother picking the chicken out, she just threw it away. The Thai Iced Tea was bland and bitter. I tried it a second time and got a tuna roll and it was fishy and gross. This place is a big disappointment if you've ever had actual decent curries or sushi.

Went here for a first date a few weeks ago and it was awesome. It's kind of an interesting place, set up almost like a fast food place but with wine and much nicer decor. I had the lemongrass chicken w/ coconut rice and a side of fries. I'd never had lemongrass anything before, so I was a little apprehensive. It was soo good. Everything was seasoned perfectly with the lemon not overpowering anything else on the plate. Portion was so big I had to save some for later (then again I do get full pretty easily) and it was even better the next day for lunch if you can believe it. Everyone was extremely nice (we left to a chorus of "bye", "have a fun night!", and "come back and see us!". The ONLY con was the "on site parking" was a little difficult to find. I drove around in circles until I finally parked across the street at a grocery store. A bit of inconvenience that the awesome food more than made up for.

Delicious food. The fire house spicy wrap and crispy wings were a great light-ish alternative to the very heavy southern we've been eating all weekend. Fun, casual feel

Perfect place for a good lunch or dinner that won't break the bank. The decor is nice and clean. I love their salads and the Ellis Roll. My husband likes the beef kabob and the ribs. The menu offers a lot of different choices.

Fire Street is one of my favorite hang outs. Its true, you do order at a counter, but this is what makes it casual. It means you can spend a long time working on your computer and no one bugs you, it means you can just get a bubble tea and there isn't a server to try and get you to order more food. Its also a nice break from the heat and centrally located right off of the main drag of Bull st. The first time I went there, I peered in the window before entering. The place looked deserted. I went in anyway with high hopes after hearing amazing reviews by an acquaintance. It turns out, the lay out of the place is a little bit different. If you just look through the window, it appears that the whole place is empty when actually you are just seeing two places to sit. The entrance is small but the space is very long and curves around with the order counter on the right hand side not directly at the entrance. As far as the best items on the menu, you really can't go wrong. The yellow curry is sweet and delicious and filling, all of their sushi is fresh and flavorful. They also have a fun selection of saki, beer and wine as well as bubble tea. My favorite is the french coffee bubble tea which is more like a slushie drink. If you really want to try a bubble tea but are looking for something fruity, the Lychee bubble tea is delicious and refreshing. You even get a couple of Lychee's at the top. Its slushie too and you can choose between having it with or without the "bubbles" which are black tapioca balls. My number one choices on food there are the Telfair sushi roll which has eel and salmon. Eel, gross right? Actually its delicious. I got it at the recommendation of a friend and ordered a second one it was so good. It comes with veggies and topped with spicy mayo, and I'm a big condiment fan. Other offerings I would recommend include the seaweed salad for a light snack or complement to a sushi roll. The chicken skewers are heavenly. They come charcoal grilled and soaked in a Teriaki sauce along with carrots and red pepper. Also, for some reason their fried rice is really delicious. I've had countless experiences at other restaurants where the fried rice is bland, but here they serve it with carrots, onions and peas that are big enough that you can tell what you're eating. Its also a great deal at $2 for a heaping bowl that I can never finish. Overall, this is a great place to go. The food is reasonably priced and delicious, it has a casual vibe, free wifi, and its in a great location. The decor is very sleek and easy on the eyes as well with its turquoise and tangerine furnishings and many booths. I highly recommend Fire Street for lunch or dinner.

Tasty, will come back BUT nothing to blow your socks off. Lives up to street food description . Duck was difficult to eat as it was not cut up and green tea was off in its flavor.

Soooo good! We stumbled on this place while wandering the streets of Savannah and decided to stop in for lunch and boy am I glad we did. This place sells boba (bubble tea) which is one of my favorite things and I could go on and on about it's deliciousness. I had the green tea with bubbles and that was incredible. One of the employees recommended the lemongrass chicken which was similarly yummy. Savory dish of blended flavors with perfectly cooked rice and chicken. This place left me wishing I lived closer do I could eat here more often. Service was great and the interior was cute and funky. The bathroom had a candle burning and a cool bowl sink. This is definitely a must go to place. Yum!

Food was alright but not the best compared to other thai places in the area. I understand "fusion" but for such a hip asian restaurant with Buddhas and new age decorations, the 80's rock music seems very out of place and for me, destroyed the ambiance. I felt like I was at a college bar and it did not help me enjoy my experience as each song reminded me of a night out at an ale house. Not cool. They need to fix that with some upbeat electronic digs, smooth jams, or hipster post rock even... something that would suit a cool cafe such as this. 80's music is a terrible choice for such a nice place. Got the green curry and spring rolls. Spring rolls were on point... green curry, not so much. The chicken tasted old and I think it was thigh meat which didn't seem to pair well with the green curry sauce. I have honestly made this curry at home and it's gotten better - which may be why I give it a 3... if I can make it at home better than going out to a place then I am not impressed - just eh on it. Regardless it was good an the veges were fresh, I just picked out all the chicken. Will try something different next time. Cool place, change the music, and get better chicken that pairs well with the curry. White meat would have been a better choice.

Yum! What a great downtown lunch location. I initially avoided Fire Street Food because the decor is not my style (very modern - not what you would think of in downtown savannah. Modern but nice!). At Fire you order at the counter and then they bring lunch to your table. There were so many options on the menu I know I'll be back to try more. I had the Edamame Salad which was fresh and delicious - lots of variety in it. I'd advise you order the dressing on the side though as this was a little heavy. My partner ordered the pad thai with tofu and said it was delicious. Prices are reasonable for lunch. Will certainly be back!

For quick Asian fusion, you can't get any better than Fire. The people are friendly and the food is fast and yummy. The prices are pretty reasonable too. I recommend the street salad, which may be one of the best salads in savannah. HUGE sushi portions! I like the curry but I wish they'd separate the rice from the curry -I feel like I'm eating a giant slop bowl when I'm eating the sushi. Overall, this is a solid lunch spot with plenty of good options.

Great concept, tasty food, and funky decor made for a good dinner here. Not our favorite meal in Savannah but not bad as we were sick of Southern food after the first few nights. It was nice, healthy fast food which you order at the counter and then it's brought out to you. The food itself is tasty, but not super memorable either. Not sure if there are other asian fusion places in town but if this is the only one, it's not so bad!

I see that other guests have already informed you about the despicable service. They served my husband 30 minutes after me. I repeatedly asked for help. So I ate while he sat and vice versa . They had the nerve to say that "street food" is never served at the same time. So, I guess others can expect the same type of service.

The food at Fire Street Food specializes in Asian street food. Three of the characteristics of street food is that it is a good value, is good quality and is fast. Fire has mastered the first two of these, but has a long way to go with the third. The two times we have eaten at Fire the wait time for our food has been exceedingly long...over an hour today. Additionally, they do not seem to be able to get all orders for one table out at the same time. Both times we were there my husband received his order a full 15 minutes before I received my order. We saw the same thing happen with other tables. That is the only thing that is keeping me from giving Fire a 5 star rating.

I didn't know what to expect when my husband and I walked into this place, but we were surprised in the best possible way! We split a variety of menu items including two sushi rolls, lemongrass chicken on coconut rice, and an edamame salad, and each had a craft beer and our order totaled around $40. Considering how large the portions we got were, I would say the price is definitely fair. The salad and chicken were delicious, and the sushi was pretty good too. A word to the wise, though: this is not your average sit-down restaurant. Food is ordered at the counter and brought to your table. Refills are on you, and you do not have a personal server. When we did have questions, the food runners were prompt and nice. If you are willing to step out of the box, Fire is definitely a must try.

Had a couple of the curry bowls. Very good and high quality with a nice portion for the price. I'm not going to get into whether it was "authentic" because that is beside the point. The food was fresh and tasted great. There seems to be plenty of opportunities to eat sandwiches and salads in Savannah, but that gets old, and the curries were a needed change of pace.

Appalling take out experience last Sunday. 20 min pick up promise was nearly one hour. "Just 5 more minutes" was 20. The order was wrong in that beef was chicken and they forgot the beverage ordered entirely. There was no offer of compensation. I called 2 days ago to speak with any sort of management or owner and have had no call back. The person answering the phone twice in 2 days has stated that " there is no management " present, they are only here in the morning.

I was in the resturant and ordered my food and when it finally arrived it was the wrong order. Once I notified the person who brought it said he made a mistake and then he packed it up and gave it to the next person who the order actually belonged too. I have one problem with this I am sure the person receiving the order did not know I had received the order. I do believe this is against the law to serve another persons food to the wrong party and then take it back give to the right party. I will no longer be eating at this place nor the other resturants that they currently own. I am very disappointed at what i witness and both discussed.

Contemporary Asian street food in a sit-down restaurant where you order first at a counter and they bring your food out to you. Good selection of domestic, imported, and craft bottled beers. We've had the dumplings, yellow curry, and spring rolls. The dumplings are so flavorful and crispy around the edges that we won't go to Fire without ordering them. The curry was a huge portion for $8 and was packed with flavor. The spring rolls were so hot we couldn't touch them for 5 minutes, but once they cooled down they were crispy and yummy. Like some other reviewers have said, our dishes came out a few minutes apart even though we ordered together and ordered an entree each. If you want to sit down an enjoy a traditional meal together, Fire probably isn't the place. But if you want to hang out and chow down with friends, it's a great place. The food came out fast, the beer was cold, and the food was tasty and a great value for the money. The ambiance is hip, contemporary, casual, and colorful.

My wife and I placed our order at the counter at 8:22 on an average Friday evening. We sat at a table, and my can of PBR was brought out at 8:28 or so. Our food arrived at 8:35ish, and the crab and shrimp sandwich that I'd ordered was delicious. But my wife's kiwi daiquiri wasn't brought out until 8:43, twenty-one minutes after we'd initially ordered it. Come on, Fire. Your food is too good for you guys to have such crappy service. If you can't make drinks in a reasonable time frame, don't put them on your menu.

we bumped into this place while vacationing in Savannah over Christmas....it doesn't look like much from the front but wow, just walk on in...a big big surprise..the week we were there, a great vibe of 1950s post-modern holidays...well, you'd have to see it. The food was super great....edamame salad was fantastic....and the fresh mango bubble tea was amazing. The staff could not have been nicer. We will return. :)

Yummers is all I can say. This place is true Asian fusion so no matter your craving - sushi, curries, dumplings - you'll find something. The dining area was impeccable & very clean. It was pretty mod & looked almost chainy - I since found out there's a location in Charleston, so that might explain the cookie cutter vibe. It's seems like a fav take out spot - I was the only one sitting at an early dinner time. I had pad thai which was pretty good. All the requirements - bean sprouts, lime wedge, lots of spring onions, well cooked noodles. I wouldn't drive too far for this place, but if you're in the area & neeeeed some Eastern foods, this is a great place to try. Fire it up.

  • J. W.

Cool atmosphere, good music, nice staff. Food was too expensive for the quality. $5 for a small bubble tea, $15 for "Kobe" sliders - for anyone interested, Kobe beef is not sold in the United States, so restaurants that claim they are selling it are doing so only to add a premium to their prices. Overall, an okay experience that I would do again, but next time, I will be keeping an eye on my wallet. forbes.com/sites/larryol…

I work and live downtown so I visit Fire several times a month. The Fire Street Salad is probably my favorite salad on the planet--made with consistently fresh ingredients (berries, cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, oranges, and other goodies), and is flavorful and filling. When I don't get the usual, I often go for the Telfair roll--deep-fried goodness. The servers are friendly, and the decor is bright and welcoming. My only small complaint is that none of the food comes out same time. You might get your chicken teriyaki in 10 minutes but have to wait another 10 for your bubble tea. This makes for awkward dining when well-mannered friends with food in front of them wait for the rest of their party's food to arrive. I understand they want to get things out to the table's as quickly as possible, but you know, it'd be great if it were more orchestrated.

Fire Street Salad was great. Kobe burger was tasty too. The salad mixes fruit and veggies in a mixed green salad w ginger dressing (dressing was my favorite part). We were just walking around and found this place while on vacation. Would come back.

A great place for an inexpensive but tasty meal. You can't tell from outside but the decor is nice and modern. It has an asian fusion menu and the portions are good. I got the noodle soup w/braised pork and it was great. Will definitely eat there again and highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I shared the Fire Street Salad, and it was AMAZING! Lettuce with tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and seasonal fruits covered in a ginger dressing. Really good. We also shared some sushi, also very good. The place looks really nice (not something you would expect in Savannah). The prices were kinda high though!

Pleasantly surprised by the burgers--delicious. Everything else has been so-so. Visited about 5 times now. If you pay attention, they play the same 2 songs over and over again! And it's those two sample songs that come on every PC ever made! Very annoying. At least put forth some effort there.

We ordered dumplings (were ok) teriyaki chicken (no spice, boring) and three sushi rolls (spicy tuna and telfair). The sushi was crap: barely any fish, all rice. The tuna was that nasty cheap minced tuna and the telfair roll contained tiny microscopic bits of what the menu claimed was salmon and eel. it was also fried and had cream cheese in it, which was not identified on the menu. Totally not worth it. My dining companion had to dump soy and sriracha all over his teriyaki chicken. The rice was bland and soggy, the chicken and veggies overcooked with a grilled black char. The staff and service was so-so, nothing spectacular. The only thing that impressed me was the energetic decor, fresh vibe, and clean bathrooms. Sorry, it was not the food. I wouldn't go here again. I'd rather go across the street and get sushi from PARKERS. Yep, it was that bad.

  • Kate L.

Food is good nothing special but I do like the wraps and the curry. The bubble tea is bad It's not really bubble tea the boba is hard and it's supposed to be soft and they only have slush drinks.

Fire was, by far, my most daring adventure into the "trendy" side of Savannah dining to date. Depending on how you view things, this joint might appear as if God accidentally dropped a piece of "The Sunset Strip" into the heart of "The Garden of Good and Evil"...or some eccentric fashion designer got their hands on a Steak n' Shake. You might say I'm old, out-of-touch or just plain "un-cool", but I have to say that the majority of the menu didn't appeal to my somewhat simple tastes. That's not to slight any of their creative concoctions, it's just to point out that for the first visit, I preferred to err on the side of caution. For that reason, I settled on the Prime burger and fries. I've got to be fair. It was better than Steak n' Shake. The burger was tender and juicy, and, perhaps a close runner-up to those at Savannah's own, "Green Truck". As for the fries...well, we'll just say they took me back to the days when my Letterman jacket was still cool. I did manage to steal a portion of my wife, and ever-loyal adventuring companion's meal, and found the chicken sandwich to be just as tender and juicy. The salad dressing stood out as well, and I can honestly say that I've never had anything like it in Savannah. As for the "service" that folks rave about...well, that has left me wondering if we actually visited the same place. You see, at Fire, the service consists of someone taking your order at the counter, and someone else dropping your food off at the table. Everything else, is up to you. All in all, Fire wasn't a bad experience, and the decor is both impressive and beautiful. So much so, in fact, that it overshadows the food...but in certain cases, such as the fries, that might be for the better. As for the three stars, well, a look at my other reviews will tell you that I can be a hard man to impress. In my world, three outta five ain't bad. It even usually warrants a return trip. Perhaps next time, I'll stray a little further from the norm.

So, I am torn between the 3 and 4 star review... So it is a very cute little place with a varied menu with a modern interior. Or it was a modern interior, but every time I go the tables have a little more stuff on them- plants, chopstick dispensers, napkin holders... On the food (why you go to a restaurant) The fish sandwich is killer, great, fantastic. The sushi- meh. All rice, no fish. Tasty since they put lots of sauce on them to hide the fact that their is no fish.

My husband and I wanted some light fare on our way through Georgia (en route to FL) and found this place via Yelp. It was easy to get to and they have a range of Asian and American foods to choose from. Ordering was quick and easy, and the food was out within ten or so minutes. He got pad thai with chicken, I got the chicken sandwich, and we shared the pork dumplings. Everything was amazing tasting. These folks know what they're doing with flavor combos. The ginger dressing was so fresh, the chicken perfectly seasoned, and the kiwi bubble tea was a delicious sweet treat. I highly recommend them, especially if you are into trying lots of great flavor combos.

Really tasty food here! I dig the decor quite a lot, it's a very refreshingly different experience. The prices are just right, and I'm really excited to go back. The service is a little lackluster, and the timing of the food is pretty off (I was served my entree and had to wait about ten minutes for the other's in my party to be served). The ordering style is weird, and very similar to how Tybee Island Social Club had theirs, in that you walk to the counter to order, are in charge of fetching your own drinks, and are served your food from the kitchen. This didn't pan out for TISC, and i can't see it working much better for Fire.

Well we walked past this place a few times from the back ally when we were getting around. I really did not look inside but thought that it was nice since it was across the street from our hotel. On Sunday before we left I was looking for a place to eat. We decided to go to J Christopher's around the corner but I really wanted to try this place. So I stopped in after brunch for a Bobo tea and to check it out. WOW.. This place is nice, sleek, and trendy. First thought I had in my head is this place belongs in Atlanta! We ordered our drinks and decided to sit to drink them. After seeing some of the food come out, we just had to drool and order even though we were not really that hungry after we just ate 10 minutes before. The food was good. I will definitely be coming back to this place to give it a proper meal in the future!!

Contrary to some other reviewers, I've had consistently good experiences at Fire Street Food -- yummy and healthy food, quick and friendly service. The decor is sleek and modern, but also casual and fun. My one complaint is that aside from the salads and the nori roll, there is absolutely nothing vegetarian on the menu. There are lots of vegetarians in Savannah, and they really ought to add tofu teriyaki, two or three veggie sandwich options, vegetarian curry, and veggie spring rolls or dumplings.

On my cross country road trip to the west coast from New York, I stayed in Savannah with my cousin and he was raving about this place. I don't think asian food can be done wrong, especially with the many Pad Thais I've tried in NYC, you can't get it wrong (unless you take it to go and it becomes a complete mold of the take out container). So looking at the decor, it was pretty stimulating to the eyes loved the lighting and the seating. Service was great and the food was tasty indeed! Premium quality not breaking the wallet, its a nice lunch or casual dinner spot. I ordered their Chicken Pad thai (of course) and tried their spring rolls and the beef dish my cousin ordered ('twas quite tender indeed!). I ended it with a thai iced tea...refreshing but sweeter than my own good...don't get it with the tapioca balls, it tastes better without it. When I go to Savannah, I'm sure I'm sure I will be there again.

  • Kala A.

Decor is cute...the whole concept of ordering at the cashier and then having it brought out to you...eh. Didn't seem to work very well, either, we didn't get our food at the same time, so I was sitting waiting on my entree while my fiance' had his dinner growing cold in front of him. The dumplings were just ok. I had lemon chicken and rice, all of it bland and uninspired. The lemon sauce tasted like it was made from fruit loops--there is something to be said for subtlety of flavor. Basically, I walked out pissed off at the money I spent for food of that quality, and that's enough for me to never go back, even for bubble tea.

    (1)
  • Regine D.

I went here last weekend and had their green curry and lychee bubble tea. It's probably the most decent green curry i've had in downtown Savannah, since most of the curry i've hard has been a little too sweet or mild. The price is a lot decent too--I just wish they'd have more options for asian street food other than the usual sushi, curry, and skewers / hibachi that most Americans are used to.

Great place for lunch. Good food, good staff, good atmosphere. Since it was my first time I asked a staff member what they recommended and they told me of their Crab / Shrimp sandwich. Fried shrimp, with ground crab, fresh tomato, avocado, and a bit of lettuce, all put together quite well and tasted awesome.

We had been walking all over the place all morning, and were looking for a non-tourist trappy, light lunch in a convenient location. This fit the bill nicely. The menu is pretty eclectic, and it's kind of hard to nail down exactly what type of place you're in. I'm still not sure what to call it, but it's neat regardless. Maybe urban / asian? Anyway, the decor is wild, light blues and oranges, and everything is sleek and clean. The Beatles were playing on the radio so that was good. The lady who took our order was nice, and the food came out remarkably fast. I had two sushi rolls, both of which were well done. My wife had the edamame salad which was large and very well flavored. Only drawback was the $5 beer and the $5 bubble tea, which escalated the price from a fair $22 to $32. It's our fault for getting the add ons - but just make it feel a little too pricey. Anyway, it's a nice casual, quick and fresh option to the other places in the area. You won't be disappointed....just watch out for the expensive drinks!

I went here with my family recently. Very clean, bright decor, good chillout music playing, and yummy food! Bubble teas are a MUST here, but their selection of both hot and cold sakes and imported beers are impressive too. Other reviewers complained about the amount and quality of fish in the sushi...I didn't see anything out of the ordinary for sushi, and the teriyaki shrimp was very good. As for service, this place markets themselves as asian street food (which is pretty acurate except the Waygu burgers lol), so don't expect to get much...you wouldn't get curbside service at a hotdog vendor, would you? What you do get is good. Recomended and would go again.

Fire has became my new lunch place while I'm downtown. The interior design is trendy yet cozy. People feel comfortable dining there whether in the afternoon or for dinner at night. It's located near the charming Chippewa Square. Also it's next to one of my favorite coffee shop. The location is just fantastic add along with the delicious food. Food is fast and at great prices! Asian fusion and sushi. My fav so far is the Forsyth roll and the salad. The salad has edamame, avocado, and your choice of protein whether shrimp or chicken. I definitely will be back soon with friends and family!

Our first trip to Fire was a good, but not great, meal. We had the Pan-Seared Dumplings to start and found them to be chewy and just fair. When the entrees arrived, things perked up quickly. He got the Prime Burger -- could've been seasoned a little more, but was good quality beef. The hot fries tasted fresh and were darn-near perfect. I had the Gang Dang Gai, a bowl of chicken, rice and vegetables with curry. It was very good with just the right amount of spicy and sweet. We'll go back, I'm certain, to try a few more menu items. It's a well-designed space and comfortable.

(Mostly) locally sourced fresh Asian simple fare. I had an order of the fried wontons, the pork soup, and a Dale's Ale. And I was happy as a clam. Good food. Clean place. Nice servers. Fast. Next time I'm in town I'm coming back.

Fire is an awesome addition to Savannah's restaurant scene. It has a city vibe of being able to walk in and get a good, quick and easy meal for a good price. It's clean with a good modern vibe to it. The food service its self is a bit sporadic but other than that it is a great dining experience.

Worst experience, do NOT go here. Ordered and waited 40 minutes for food that never showed up. They were totally disorganized and screaming things at food runners. Even with a number system they couldn't figure out what went to what table, missed orders completely, etc. eventually even after asking nicely several times we gave up and just left. Avoid at all costs.

As a huge Foodie that loves the perfect combination of intriguing atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service, I must start out this review with a simple yet poignant "WOW"! FIRE is a new restaurant unlike anything else in Savannah that specializes in street food, a unique modern flare of fast, trendy, quality and affordable food. The menu is impressive with dishes like fish sandwich with fries, shrimp and crab sandwich, incredible burgers (both Prime and Wagyo Kobe), delicious skewers, super sushi, wings and salads just to name a few! FIRE has a unique design and flow with an upbeat color scheme and cool technology aspects with projections illuminating the walls and inset fire places on the opposing walls. The beverage choices at FIRE are incredible and new to the area. I highly recommend trying the Bubble Tea's, Iced Bubble Tea's and Iced coffee's, they're so yummy! They also serve beer and wine which is a plus. For all you Friday and Saturday night downtown party crowd, you'll be happy to know they're conveniently open until 3AM on those nights!! FIRE is definitely my new favorite restaurant in Savannah. They've only been open for a couple weeks now and I've been over 7 times, I just can't get enough! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FIRE street food for their fresh quality food, fun atmosphere and affordability; I promise you won't be disappointed!!
