This place is kind of a hole in the wall but the donuts are delicious. I consider myself a connoisseur of donuts and I have been to a lot of good donut places but this one is at the top of its class.

Awesome donuts! I've never had anything that I didn't like from here. The chocolate iced are our favorite....the icing is to die for!

First things first - Hana's Bakery is located on Spiderweb behind Advance Auto Parts, not on Broad! I spent a while looking for the address provided on Yelp, and then spotted their new storefront (the Broad St. address is their old location. I'll try to update it soon, unless someone else gets on that!) I was happy to finally catch them open today - they typically close at 3 pm Tuesday-Friday and at 2 pm on Saturday. Meanwhile, they're closed Sunday and Monday, so time your visit accordingly! Hana's was doing good business at 2 today, and I soon found out why. Reports of the best donuts in Rome are *not* exaggerated. I tried the chocolate glazed and the Boston creme donuts, and also picked up a pack of no-bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. *Dang, y'all.* That was one white paper sack full of absolutely scrumptious treats. The donuts were nice and moist - baked fresh daily, I was told - and a little bigger than your standard Krispy Kreme. The cake was nice and chewy and the icing was absolutely delicious with a slightly buttery aftertaste. I am in love. Meanwhile, the no bake cookies have just enough oatmeal to provide texture, but are chocolatey enough to taste more like delicious homemade fudge than anything else.
