Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I can't say enough good things about Willy's - with the demise of Tortilla's on Ponce there isn't much better in this style of "west coast" burrito. For those of you who haven't been, you basically select the meat or veggie as the main ingredient then choose from a multitude of delicious accoutrements. I ate often at the Willy's on Hammond back when I worked at Perimeter/Concourse. I often opt for the "healthier" salad - my choices are black beans, spicy chicken, lettuce, salsa fresca, shredded cheese, roasted corn, roasted red peppers, both types of jalapenos and cilantro, topped with chipotle dressing. I remember all this stuff because I ate at this location for lunch today - I'm so happy there's a Willy's close to where I work! You get chips with your main course (burrito, salad, etc) and a couple of salsas - try the habanero for a little kick (it's not super hot but is super good!). OK so the place isn't Tortilla's but for a local chain, it's much better that Shmoe's or many of the others.

Authentic? Not even close. Pretty good? Hell yeah. I've eaten here twice and really enjoyed it. It's pretty much like Baja Fresh on the West Coast, but better. Definitely a contender with Chipotle for higher quality meximerican fast food. I tried their chicken quesadilla on my first visit, steak nachos on the 2nd. both were pretty darn good and a meal by themselves. The better half and I ate for $20 with drinks and were stuffed afterwards. They give you a lot of food. We swear they have the best soda, they must put crack in their coke if you know what I mean. I will definitely be a regular since it's pretty close to my house. We pretty much avoided it for a year and a half since we saw only little leaguers and soccer families pouring out of it. I figured it'd be another tex mex nightmare, but I was wrong. Good fast food and fairly priced.

LOVED THIS PLACE! Went in with 4 of us adults and 2 kids. Not been here before and so took a while to order as the menu was unfamiliar to my visiting Englsh palate but the staff were very relaxed and guided us through. Burritos were fabulous and very, very big! Go try it for yourself...

I ordered chicken tacos..... they were huge!! I could only finish one but saved the other for later.

Consistently great food. Try the marinated grilled tofu, you'll thank me.

Great burritos and quesadilla. Been eating at this location for 10 years.

The "2-star" Yelp means "I've had better" and honest to god, I have ... and you have too. I fail to understand the popularity of these places because the food really "ain't that good." I recently tried a steak burrito here after a five year hiatus and the food remains a dry, unsavory, unappetizing affair. The "steak" is cooked to the texture of shoe leather and it is combined with dry, tasteless, rice and poor quality beans. It needs salsa and guacamole to save it and they don't help much. These Willy's are really no better than Subway in the final analysis.

Love this location. They are always busy at lunch but they keep the line moving quite well.

I'm a huge Willy's fan. I prefer Willy's to Moe's and to Chipotle so I am glad to have this location so close to my office. I usually stop in a couple times a month for lunch. There is usually a huge line around lunch time but the employees here keep things moving very quickly. Depending on what time you go, it may be a struggle to "dine in" because this location is small and there are not a whole lot of seating options. Although they stay busy, the restaurant is always clean. I'm a fan of the soft tofu taco and almost always order this with guacamole and fresh jalapenos. Willy's does charge extra for guac, but not for chips like Chipotle does. The menu is very similar to Moe's, but everything just seems to taste a little better here.

My dad and I used to eat here years ago when the food quality and workers were sub-par, but I decided to give them another try since they are the closest location to me. All other Willys are amazing My boyfriend got the Steak burrito and inhaled it!! I ordered the Adobe pork quesadillas which was good but I guess I wasn't expecting the sweet undertones. I'll get something else next time. The cheese dip amazing as alwayssss!

I was always a Moes person before I moved near this Willys. Always fresh and good service. Lunch time is busy!

The staff at this location is awesome. Will the manager knows you by name and is always welcoming when you walk trough the door. The food is always fresh and when paired with the excellent customer service it keeps you coming back! Favorite Willys location in Atlanta.

I don't usually do reviews but this place is awesome, I went in literally 3 minutes before they closed and the workers greeted me with a smile and went above and beyond the call of duty to tell me all about their food choices (being this was my first time eating there). The food was awesome! Much better than Moes's or Chipotle in my opinion.

Food tasted fresh. It wasn't my favorite but good! I do love the chips and salsa bar. That makes it nice.

I eat here all the time and at this point know half the staff by their first names. This place is awesome and my all time favorite burrito place. All the ingredients are always fresh and delicious!

You might think all Willy's are the same, but in my experience this location shines. The staff is always pleasant and welcoming. They are generous with toppings, listen well, and keep the line moving. They always offer 1 bag of chips per to go entree. Added bonus: they carry king of pops local popsicles.

OMG! I love this place. I normally get the Chicken Quesadilla Grande and it is absolutely delicious! It gets really busy around lunch time, sometimes the line is out the door, but the good thing is that the line moves fast and no matter how busy it gets, the customer service is excellent. P.S.-I like Willy's way better than Moe's.

This was the first Willy's I'd ever visited many, many years ago. I've since been to a few others, but I am glad to be living and working in this area again so I can visit regularly. I love that the very friendly guy who has been there for years is still there greeting me with a big smile and making me a delicious quesadilla. In fact, most people at this location are very friendly. I like that. The only thing I don't like is how busy it gets at the lunch rush. I definitely plan my Willy's days around a late lunch to try to avoid the long lines. Don't forget to tip them when they do a great job.

Great burritos, I had the steak plus numerous option. It was gigantic and tasty too. Much better than Moes or chipotle

Wish I knew about this place earlier.. Did someone just say Chipotle... my memory is bad.. I don't recall any place called Chipotle.. LOL!!! I KNOW ONLY OF WILLY'S :-) The burritos here are awesome... I had the spicy chicken quesadilla.. Nice they kinda grilled the quesadilla with the chicken and the cheese melted on them... My mouth was watering even before I reached the cash register.. :-).. At first I thought would one be enough?? Oh my was I so wrong!!. after having 3/4th of it, I was full and satisfied.. but the taste kept me going on :-) They had these sauces on the side which added to the taste.. Wish they had one close to Pleasant Hill.. It would definitely be a hit over here..

Food is good, staff is awesome. Eat outside on nice days.

If you think Chipotle or Moe's is the best, you probably haven't been to Willy's. Service is wonderful and the food is delicious. Willy's is definitely the place to eat!

Great guys working this local Willlie's.. Always feel welcomed when walking thru the door. Great job guys! Keep it up!!
(5)David B.
Had a quick dinner here with a couple of friends this evening. Skeptical at first thinking "Oh, another burrito joint..." Boy was I wrong... The people here are friendly, and they don't swamp down the burritos with excess rice or beans to skimp on the meat. Everything was fresh and tasty, and their salsa is really good. I just wish I could get a bottle of that hot chili sauce they have at the tables, it would be a perfect marinade for a chicken recipe I have at home. Their prices are much more reasonable too compared to other similar places I've been. I'm all about cheap food, and some people say you get what you pay for but here you get much more...

Great Food - Good Prices - Fast Service. As Jack Nickolson said this is "as good as it gets".
(5)Robert H.
Love it! Great burritos, quesadilla's, and nachos plus the prices are right. This is truly a "can't go wrong" type of place.

Like Chipotle, Willy's Mexicana Grill restaurants have been popping up all over town, I had Willy's for the first time last week and will definitely be going back for more. For about $2.00 I got a soft chicken taco with rice, beans, salsa and chips. It was pretty good, fresh and filling for lunch. Willy's has become quite the popular establishment in the past year because the line was coming out the door and we were forced to sit at the counter. While the counter was decent hopefully we'll get a booth next time. Willy's has burritos, salads, chips, tacos, quesadillas, sides and even breakfast. You can get a flavorful scrumptious meal at Willy's for less than $7.00. Willy's is only available in Georgia with fifteen locations across the metro area. Visit willysmexicanagrill.com for more information. Catering is also available.

This is the closest Willy's to me (until I move) since they decided to close their location on Roswell Rd just south of the river. I still make the 6-7 mile trek to this location for their burritos when I just don't want to settle for Moe's. Willy's is the same style of "fresh mex" place like Moe's or Chipotle, serving the typical quick-assembly foods like burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. The difference is that Willy's food is not as bland as Moe's and everything is not overpowered by lime and cilantro as it seems to be at Chipotle.

Oh. My. Gosh. I freaking love this place! As a vegetarian, I have never ever been disappointed by their tofu tacos/burrito or veggie quesadilla. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are pretty generous (it depends on who makes it), the people are friendly, and Willy's is way better than Chipotle. The food isn't salty, is very flavorful, and filling. Yes, they do charge extra on some ingredients like their homemade guac, but really, their guac is delicious so I don't mind paying extra. Their prices have gone up recently, but... I know that I'll definitely keep coming here =)
