Pizza was fantastic. We had the breadsticks with a small carnivore pizza. Plenty for two people and we had leftovers. They were generous with toppings and they all seemed fresh. Service was good and fast.

A local institution that I've been dining at for over 20 years. Very good, generously-topped pizza by the pie or by the (huge) slice that's been among the best in the area since the day they first opened their doors. As the name would suggest, a very good lineup of sandwiches too (try the "Mitchwich"....hot roast beef topped with melted cheddar (I order mine without mushrooms or mayo) on a fresh onion roll. Support your local indepent restaurants!

Wow...why did we not go here sooner??? We have lived less than 3 miles from this place for more than 2 years...and finally tried it...OMG, why did we wait? This is, ABSOLUTELY, the quintessential neighborhood pizza joint...with great food and service. The atmosphere is, well, dated...but...in my opinion in a GREAT way...it is that "old skool" pizza place with wooden bench booths and tables with chairs...a bit dark...a bit...well...what we grew up with! Now then...the food... Pizza...nothing fancy, schmancy...just good, basic pizza! The sauce that they use/make (not sure) is very good and sublime, not overpowering. Then you add the basic toppings you want...and away you go. Wifey and I have come to settle (after 4 visits now) on a thin crust with hamburger and onion...arguably the BEST pizza we have ever had. But...again...it is that basic pizza that we all want. There will always be a place for fancier pizza...you know...that "brick oven" or "I brought the pizza oven over from Naples" type pizza...but...this is the pizza that you for on Friday night! Oh...did I mention that they also have very good sandwiches? First thing I tried was the Italian sandwich...and it was fantastic. One cool thing...they have fries available...most places I get an Italian, they do not have fries...and I love the combo! Highly recommended...but...don't wear your tuxedo!

Their pizza is amazing! It's pretty cheap for a pizza place. I order from here multiple times a week.

I've been staying in this area for a few months and ordered twice before from Dagwood's The pizza was ok, that's why I called again. Today the guy who answered the phone didn't know what the delivery area was. Then he took my order and told me there was a $15 minimum. I asked if they'd changed recently and he said they'd always been that way. Then why did they deliver without question before? I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the owner. The owner doesn't even know where his business delivers? I suggest people not take a chance if this place is that flakey. Lots of people like it but this "owner" worries me and suggests they are not stable.

Probably the best pizza in the area. Have never seen anyone who does not love this hidden gem. But the service is very slow, all the time.

Best pizza in GA! I've been coming here my whole life! My mom and dad met here before I was born!! So many great memories watching my father and others play live music and awesome food!! This joint is for all walks of life!

Great service from start to finish made delicious food a great experience! Glad to finally try Dagwood's after 10 years living in the neighborhood. Being from the Northeast I was raised on authentic immigrant-crafted Italian food so I was a bit cautious to try a local Down South pizza spot for pasta. Well holy moly Dagwood's knocked my socks off with its yummy hearty Chicken Parmesan!! My family enjoyed this meal so much and we are so grateful to find good food that also delivers. This review is short and sweet, or perhaps short and tangy. On atmosphere alone, I'd give this place 4 stars. Really fun and inviting, great casual dining experience, friendly wait staff. Sadly, I didn't care for the pizza, which is unfortunate being that the place has the word "pizza" in its name. Before I mention why I didn't like the pizza, let me first say that I didn't care for the bruschetta, which I had as an appetizer-- aka, "the Salt Shock". Be sure you have one or two beverages in hand before you dare take one bite, or else you just might feel your arteries stiffen a bit. As far as the pizza... The pizza sauce was crazy tart, lacking any hint of sweetness-- so much so that I found it to be rather acidic and off-putting Tomatoes right off the vine do not taste anywhere near as acidic, so I cannot fathom why their sauce is so terribly pungent. Take a saltine, layer it with dill pickles, and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

We love this place! We are from western New York..home of buffalo wings and awesome pizza. The wings here are great, and the pizza terrific. I do have to say though, eating in is better. Take out, not as good. Also, ask for the wings extra crispy, extra sauce, and pizza well done!! All super yummy!

Dagwood's is exactly what I expect from my neighborhood pizza joint... Big, floppy "comic book" pizza. It always makes me think of the ninja turtles- perfectly foldable. Their menu boasts all the typical items you'd expect. They serve fresh salads, massive calzones, and chicken Parmesan subs loaded with tomato sauce. My husband's favorite go-to is the meatball sub. Fries and tater tots are always perfectly crisp. Our neighborhood board meets there every few months and they are always accommodating. We push a few tables together in the side room and have all the space we need. Even with a large group our food comes out fresh and timely.

We celebrated my birthday with a few family members. We were able to use a side room so we had privacy to enjoy ourselves. Our waitress was awesome. We had the BIG FELLA. OMG!! I've never seen so much pizza! We had a great time. Thanks so much!!!

Great pizza!!!! Great staff! Have been here several times with friends and family. Have never had a bad pie! Fun place to hang out. Never heard any local bands here. I came for the grub! Wont disappoint.

I'm surprised by the level of high reviews for this place. I have never been impressed - I mean, how can you screw up pizza? I need to say that I have only had Dagwood's for delivery, my company orders their food for company meetings. Since eating multiple disappointing lunches from Dagwood's I actually petitioned to have my company never order from here again - and I wasn't alone with my distaste. The pizza is greasy, toppings are the opposite of fresh, way too much cheese, not enough sauce, and to top it off - 100% chance of heartburn. The lasagna looks like an elementary school version of school lunch lasagna. Again, way too much cheese, ricotta, mystery meat, and too little sauce.

I'll state up front that management tried to make up for our poor experience last night by giving us $20 off our $90 order. I don't plan on ever going back, but I do believe in giving credit where it's due. He felt bad about what we went through and made a nice effort to remedy it. That said, I wouldn't suggest you bring a large group to Dagwood's for a meal. We came with 10 people, four adults and six kids, and it took over an hour to serve us pizza. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated, just pizza. By the time our food finally arrived, the kids were driving us and everyone around us nuts and it was so close to the younger ones' bedtime that I wound up eating a single slice and asking the waitress to box up the rest. The pizza is nothing special, the décor looks like your basement ala 1975, and the waitresses either don't like kids, don't like large parties, or just don't like customers in general. I'm not sure which.

Delicious delicious pizza. One of my favorites and I don't just say that for pizza. I'm an extreme foodie and love my antico pizza so it was really hard for me to admit I really like this place. Dagwood has slices all day! I like that a lot and the slices are a great size! It seems like the slices are better than the whole pizza though. Slice of sausage, pineapple, and extra cheese with oregano and crushed peppers on top!!!! Do it!!

My new favorite delivery pizza. It is a little more, but the quality and taste are both unbelievable. We had a thin peperoni and a regular carnivore and both were really good! I highly recommend this pizza place!

We've spent pretty much every Saturday night for the past three years playing trivia at Dagwood's, so it's pretty fair to say, we like it. I guess it's the closest thing to a neighbourhood bar that serves pizza instead of booze that you can get. :) The pizza is hit or miss, because it's never exactly the same two weeks in a row. (Tip: If you're a fan of thin crust pizza, theirs usually isn't really thin crust. Ask for the bruschetta crust, and you'll get NY style pizza.) They have cheesy bread that is addictive, and the waitresses are always efficient and no-nonsense, even when the place is packed to capacity. Our regular waitress, Allie, greets us with our usual beverages without us even asking. Almost all of the staff are great. I know other reviews mention the servers being "nasty", but they're not...they're just busy, and tend to have a very down-to-earth, edgy attitude. It's not TGIFridays, and that's why we like it. Their fries and subs are a good choice if you don't like pizza, and we have been known to just eat cheesy bread and cheesy fries. Warning: The scale goes up three pounds after you eat at Dagwood's. It disappears a day or two later. We're not sure why this happens, except we probably eat too much Dagwood's. When I'm out of town, I find myself missing Saturday nights at Dagwood's. For a "family-friendly" place in the 'burbs, it's really pretty cool. And nobody cares that we sit on the bench like Forrest Gump after the place closes and kicks us out. :P

Stumbled upon this gem by accident. As tempted as we were to try the pizza, the Saturday special won us over. For $9 we each got a hot sub (mine was spicy italian style, hold the ham, and add ranch dressing on side aka Cincinnati style), fries, and a drink. The sub was delish! Fries pipping hot, and sub came just the way I specified. Service was great. Oh, and the restrooms were spotless, so obviously they have a high standard of cleanliness. We will definitely be back!

First time having pizza here. Kinda like the atmosphere. Fairly busy on a Sunday evening but I wasn't in a rush and didn't mind downing a beer before my pizza came out. It was worth the wait! No problem with splitting my pizza into half pepperoni and mushroom (my fav) and the other half chicken and bacon (my second fav -- you should try it) even though it was a small pizza. Crust was excellent, meat and cheese were plentiful and the beers were cold. What else do you need? Will definitely go back.

I was surprised to realize I haven't reviewed Dagwood's yet. My husband and I live practically around the corner. Whenever we order pizza delivery, it's Dagwood's. I've also tried a variety of their hot sandwiches. I prefer Dagwood's over chain pizzerias such as Domino's and Pizza Hut, even though we're in their delivery area as well. Dagwood's food is solidly good and delivery is average to pretty fast depending on the day of the week (if you order at 6pm on a Friday, there's obviously going to be a little bit of a wait).

Great pizza! Plenty of fresh toppings on the pizza and the staff is always nice! So much better than "fast food" pizza places without spending a bunch of money. A regular place for my family and friends with great prices!

We went to Dagwood's recently because of the Scoutmob coupon. I was a little uncertain at first. Is it a bar? Is it not a bar? I didn't want bar food and the strip mall location kind of threw me off. I am super glad that we decided to try it out! Dagwood's is not trying to pretend to be anything other than an old-fashioned neighborhood pizzeria. The interior makes you feel as though you are in a real Chicago or New Jersey pizza joint. It ws the perfect place to go on a cold night to warm up and fill our bellies. The menu is exactly what you would expect to find in these places: pizzas, sandwiches, some pastas, salads and homemade soups. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful but they are very traditional pizza toppings. No arugula, prosciutto, etc. My mom tried a slice of pizza with spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes. Nothing was canned and the slice was huge. She said it was very good. I ended up opting for the Chicken Cheesesteak per the other Yelp reviews. It was also delicious. The bread was the perfect cheesesteak roll to sop up all of the juicy goodness and it came with a side of crispy, seasoned fries that I think were twice-fried. Yum! Service was great! Our waitress was friendly, fast and happy to offer suggestions. At the end of the meal, I realized I forgot to place a to-go order for my husband and the waitress got it out in under 10 minutes. The total bill was under $20 for 3 people. I did have the Scoutmob but it was only for $10 so still incredibly reasonable. I want to go back now!

I went here last night to play trivia with a friend of mine. It's about a 5 minute drive from my house, which is a big plus. Though in 12 years of living here, I think it was the first time I set foot in the place. My friend had already ordered a veggie pizza, so I had some of that. It was good, even a little cold. The crust was just how I like it and the toppings were generous. I wasn't totally blown away, but it was definitely solid. As I've said in the past, I'm not incredibly picky when it comes to pizza. It was also light on the sauce, which I liked. Another plus is the gift certificates you win at trivia don't have an expiration date. At other places, they've had expiration dates, usually only 2-3 weeks out. So now I have $10 to use when I return, which will probably be in a few weeks for trivia again. Overall, it's a solid pizza joint.

If you're looking for a margherita on a crispy crust from a brick oven, keep driving. If you're looking for something to break you out of a rut from the corporate franchise pizza world, give this mom and pop establishment a chance. These guys deliver in the evening, and I've been really jonesing for pizza, so I decided to give these guys a shot. With the unnatural craving, I'm not sure why I ordered wings, but it was the daily special and they were so cheap. The wings seem baked. I'd prefer wings a little crisper from frying, but the hot sauce is good. The pizza is a-ok. Generous with the cheese and toppings. Nothing mind-blowing, but a solid pie. It also works well as leftovers, as it reheats well and the crust gets neither soggy nor stale.

A whole in the wall that is only spoiled by the strip mall it's housed in. I went with my roomie and her family on a Tuesday night and was introduced to a "cheers-esque" crowd. Several tables of regulars were enjoying cold beer and yummy pizza while listening to the talents of several musicians. My roommate even joined in the fun and sang a song. A super friendly environment with great entertainment.

This is the best option for pizza in the Peachtree Corners area. If I was just rating the pizza it would be on the line between four and five stars. But alas, I have to account for the atmosphere -.5 star and service -1 star. Good news first. The white pizza is the best I have ever had. I crave it regularly. The other pizzas are excellent as well. The style is typical suburban pizza. More in the vein of the take-out chains than New York or Neapolitan. The crust is medium thickness, well cooked, and flavorful. I do not recommend the specialty pizzas, like the deluxe or carnivore. They are very generous with toppings, which is nice, but he pizza does not do well with too many toppings, it gets undercooked and soggy. Stick to a more simple pie. The greek pie, white pizza and a regular pepperoni are all very good. The other food is good as well. I like their salads alot. The dressings are above average. The wings are good if not great. The bad news. I grew up in Peachtree Corners in the late 80's. So, when my wife and I moved to Norcross, my parents asked if Dagwoods (Our every-Friday-night pizza place back when) was still there. I saw that it was, and when I walked in I was like "Wow it hasn't changed at all!!!" and then I was like "Wow, it hasn't changed, at all..." The interior is about 15 years overdue for some rehab. It's dark and dingy and smells a little musty, like a 25 year old pizza joint. As for the service, I think some of the servers have been here too long and just don't care anymore. It's prototypical service with a shrug. But where I really have to cut some points is on the to-go counter. I can't blame the employees entirely. The to-go window is back in the kitchen. So, it's the kitchen staff who has to take orders and give them out. You can imagine the kinds of issues this creates when there's a big rush to make pizza on a weekend night. Out of the last 10 or so visits, they've lost our order twice. So we have to wait 15-20 minutes after we get there for them to make the pizza we called in 25 minutes ago. Neither time did they admit they actually lost the order (or more accurately the person on the phone is trying to do 4 other things and forgot to write it down). They said "we just got a huge rush and it'll be a few more minutes". Then the guy walks 4 feet away from the counter and tells the other guy that he forgot an order for _____ and to rush it.
