FIRST OFF, this was my very first time here. A girl-friend suggested we have dinner here, so sure, why not. Like everyone description about the entrance, when you walk in you will see this golden Buddha in the front. There's two separate path ways to walk but I'm guessing it leads to the same side? Well, my friend and I sat in the Japanese sushi bar. We were greeted nicely n given a menu. Another server also came n asked what did we wanted to drink. I haf some warm tea. My friend who is a "regular customer", ordered the crazy roll.. I didn't know what to order so I got the red dragon. Good thing I did because it tasted yummy!!! We also got some seaweed salad n some cold middle which tasted pretty good. We then were served with some oranges for dessert! Less than 15 minutes away from home. Great customer service. Bomb diggity quality in food. Good pricing. HECK YEAH I BE BACK :D

I have been here twice. The first time because I wanted to try something new. The second time, well because they have bubble tea. Certain dishes on the menu were decent enough to return. The hibachi is an unattractive, small room. It sort of resembles a classroom. The "sushi bar" is even smaller. However, dining in a seperate dining room, I did try the California rolls which weren't at all bad. The service isn't all bad. Maybe its just the two servers I've come in contact with. There is a slight language barrier. I'll only be returning for the coconut bubble tea. Yum! And that I'll be taking to go.

My husband and I have been here for several times but we mostly choose Sushi section. Sushi section is good, my husband and I loved it! This time we chose Chinese section..and these are reasons why I gave 3-star: 1) Bird Nest Seafood. That's what my husband got. The bird nest didn't look pretty or right, it was just round cracker. From what I know bird nest is at least make something like diagonal patterns....Seafood tasted good I would say. 2) "NO MSG" sign at the window...This make me really think is it so TRUE? I know many Chinese MOSTLY used MSG in their meals. No offense but I will believe it if someone like a health department get their ingredients or food to the lab to see if it's truth or not. If its true that they totally not using MSG for all meals then I would apologize about this post. If not then I was right, and they should do as they posted to the customers.

This be a brief, but fair review of the Chinese portion of this shambling playground of Asiatic edibles. I must specify "Chinese" simply because this location also features a sushi bar, a sit-down Japanese restaurant, the ubiquitous Japanese grills (oh I give you extra shrimp lady, catch it in you mouth!!) *and* a separate Korean section. Of course the grills are the most fun and the most familiar at this location as this is where your good Captain first began sharpening his palate for all things Nipponese with fine cardboard-boxed sake and wasabi-encased tidbits of what might possibly be spicy tuna roll... hard to tell... Aye, it took him time to develop an affinity for the finer sakes, the ability to eat sushi sans wasabi and the good sense to visit M.F. Sushi to check out the thigh-high slits in the pretty waitresses dresses..... but even with his heightened level of sophistication and his obvious better-than-you-ness, he still has an undying affection for the Number Nine location for Mr. Lee's Golden Buddha, buddy. Sorry, slipped into third person there... been happening a lot lately. Anyway. For awhile the Golden Buddha Number 9 existed as a tradition for me and my childhood friend Dale and his wife Penny. It was the roaring 90's, a time of impetuous youth, a time of daring acts of piracy, a time of eating raw fish.. on purpose even! Ah, to be young and hungry again, me hearties! So there we were, backed into a corner and.... no, wait, wrong blog. It was a time of celebrity, as Olympic star (and local hometown hero) Steve Lundquist dined at the very next grill table, having *free* grilled shrimp thrown into his mouth JUST LIKE US!!! Truly it was a time for glitterati, power and verve. Paris Hilton dreams of partying with Captain Drew in the 90's. I remember a time before Dale and Penny were wed, when they were in the midst of one of those fights they had just before they realized how much they loved each other... so Dale was nursing a broken heart and I were his wingman..... together we drank an entire box of sake and went to see a Jackie Chan movie, partly in order to let the sake settle, but mostly because we were convinced that we could speak Cantonese (the disconnect between Chinese speech and Japanese drink was lost on us, obviously). I daresay that no one has snored louder in a Jackie Chan moviehouse than Yours Truly. And that brings me to the Chinese section of Mr. Lee's Golden Buddha Number 9, where I feted my parents on the belated occasion of my recent birthday. The service was fast, the waitstaff was plentiful (no fewer than four different people paid call on our table) and the food was... just okay. Nothing special. Nope. It was good, it was decent... not saying I hated it, it was just "okay". Of course we didn't order anything exotic, like sushi off the belly of a hot Chinese girl (which is too bad really because I'm of a mind to try eating things off the bellies of hot Chinese girls) or dine upon roasted tiger knuckles (the month had an 'r' in it) but you'd think with a place as lush looking at Mr. Lee's Golden Buddha Number 9 that you'd have dancing dragons, sizzling platters of delight and other fantastic voyages into culinary exploration (see the aforementioned belly thing). No, you want to go to this restaurant for the other experiences, and possibly on a middling busy night so that the kitchen is revved up a bit more for you. Maybe *you'll* get that belly dish I wanted. Please let me know how it was. No, for real. Seriously. I'm not foolin' here. And tell 'em that Captain Drew sent you!

No... I'm sorry... NO!!! I don't know what these other folks are accustomed to but this is just wrong. I'm not going to be very detailed. To do so would sound disrespectful. There appear to be options - Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc. We chose Hibachi. I will only say: 1) Bubble tea was our unanimous beverage selection. We were served slushes, flavored well, but including tapioca "boba" in various stages of preparation from not at all to mushy mess. We opted for water. 2) We ordered our food 15 minutes before the next table and the cook started our food 15 minutes after the next table. 3) The ginger dressing on the appetizer salad is perfect! 4) Fried rice = rice + egg + wait... ground meat??? 5) Ordered 1 Shrimp & Chicken, 3 Teriyaki Shrimp. Got 1 Shrimp & Teriyaki Chicken and 3 Shrimp... all overcooked. 6) Ordered Shrimp & Broccoli to go. Undercooked. Wife trashed it. 7) Stale fortune cookies. 8) Another $25 and we could have gone to Benihana. That is all.

Yummers! My husband and I went there on our anniversary and ate entirely too much..lol. We sat at the Japanese side and had Hibachi prepared in front of us and had some sushi as well. the waitress can certainly brush up on her service skills but the chef was fun and friendly and made more than generous portions. The food was cooked to perfection and so flavorful...it was wonderful! It's usually very crowded but worth the wait for the food.

First time here, I have to admit the food is amazing. Ordered the bogugie (not sure of the spelling ) it was great, i didn't care for the salad that came with it. Over experience was excellent! Fast service and friendly staff!

This place smells like dead cows, The tea was cold, the water tasted like pumps, I tried to order the Garlic chicken and they said they dont make that anymore so I ordered the sesame chicken, it was edible or so I thought... Some of the pieces were chewy and stringy, the fried rice tasted weird...Its dark and sketchy in here, the waitress was very rude, and the place was empty, and after I ate I instantly felt sick, I have had a horrible stomach ache all day from this food, I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE TO EAT HERE EVER!

The staff was funny, the food was good...all I can say is if you go at lunch and have them cook in front of you...order LIGHT...they give you a mountain of food.

I tried to being my addiction of this place down to only going once a month.... It's GREAT! My favorite chef is Patrick, but if he's busy JoJo is a great cook as well. I always get filet mignon and two orders of fried rice. I recently moved away from the area & have tried several other Japanese hibachi spots but NONE compare. This place is well worth the 30 minute drive! :)

So I went for take out on Wednesday and ordered house special fried rice with pork instead of beef, order of egg rolls and crab angle (rangoon). This came to $21 plus tax so I just knew for that price it must be awesome. All was ok except for the egg roll, which was the blandest in the world!! I am not sure why there was no meat in it or flavor, so I would not recommend that. They gave alot of rice, which filled an entire togo box, but funny that they only give you 2 packs of soy sauce!!! When we asked for extra packs she wanted to know how many but we had no clue so it was like a bidding war, funny!! Overall it was ok but they need to lower the prices some.

Only one other booth occupied when I was seated, after five minutes waiting for a menu a couple was seated next to me and immediately given menus and their order taken. So, I got up and walked out. This is the second time that has happened to me at this place. The Japanese side of the restaurant is a bit better.

Ok, today is one of those days when i drive around and eat. Ive been to dairy queen for a strawberry shortcake, Grand buffet for take out(gross btw) and im getting ready for some Golden Buddha take out. The first thing you see when you go inside is the jolly short, fat man with the round belly. I usually go to the chinese side. Ive been to the hibachi(sp?) grill a few times and had a LOT of fun. Sometimes when i just want to chill and eat good food without the noise, i sit on the japanese side. I mostly do take out though and i have to sneak back into my house before my mother decides she wants some of my food. She's allergic to shellfish, so i get something with shrimp(insert evil laughter). I love their soup and the agedashi dofu. The salad is also great. Their fried rice is the best ive eaten so far. And believe me, i would know because i eat rice everyday in different variations either at home or outside my home. So yep, im off to Golden Buddha to get some more food!!!

Hubby and I visited hoping to partake Chinese and Sushi. Since it had a few decent reviews, why not right!?! How do I explain- have you ever been in a restaurant and it smells like they need to clean the carpet, better yet, they need to clean EVERYTHING!?! Well, that is how I felt walking into Golden Buddha. Perhaps I came with too many expectations having dined at Golden Buddha @ Centennial Olympic Park and Golden Buddha @ N. Druid Hills. The food was blah, the decor was blah, and the had the audacity to have a "Souvenir Case" with cheesy Asian Trinkets for like @20 each!

I went to Lee's Golden Buddha not knowing what was in store for me. I was told to try out to Korean but I went with the Japanese anyway. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't all that great. The prices were a little high for Hibachi. Not too bad though. I don't know, nothing about the meal I had; Shrimp and Scallops, was that amazing. I had to remind the cook that I had scallops because he wasn't cooking them so he had to run to the kitchen and get them. The Scallops were good. I didn't like the house soup too much onion and there was too many onions in the fried rice as well. Most Asian restaurants also give you some form of dessert as well. Not here. I'm not saying I won't go back, it's just next time I will try something different.

Well, after a "good" day's work, me and my colleagues were driving around Morrow, headed to a Thai Food restaurant when we passed Golden Buddha. We figured they would have a lunch special, so we turned around and headed for this spot. When we went in, it almost reminded me of a mini-mall, as there were several rooms that we passed on the way to the Hibachi area.... All in all, the waitress seated us at a grill area, and we were promptly served. I ordered the Lunch plate, which was a combination of soup, salad, Chicken and fried rice, and a sweet tea. Within 5 minutes, the sweet tea, soup and salad came out! Within less than 15 minutes, the chef came out. He was very personable, and struck up a good convo with us. He then proceeded to cook steak for one person, and then rice, vegetables and chicken for the rest of us. The food was good overall, and the sweet tea was sweet.... I will admit that the chicken was a bit tough, but I was able to eat it nonetheless. It also was quite cold in there, so it shortened our time of talking as business associates. There also is no wifi or plugs anywhere (which is expected for a place like this), so we simply "enjoyed" the Hibachi experience, and left. Overall, the place was good. It also was clean, with no ridiculous smells to speak of. There were a few flatscreen televisions (approx. 45"ers) in the place, which could encourage some tv watching. Also, they had a party hall room, so large groups could reserve the space for events. Lastly, the price overall was quite good: Just under $13 for the aforementioned items above! Of course, that was lunch, so I'm sure their prices are higher during dinner. Again, all in all, it was a good experience, and I plan on coming back again!

Dont live near here anymore...but if I could...I would go back! This is by far the best hibachi I ever had. We always get the half korean half white chef (forgot his name) who cooks for us, and its supreme!! Sushi is great too. Service is on spot with drinks and orders. Great place for special occasions or just a regular Tuesday night. Love this spot! Cant find anything like it in Norcross, GA.

If you can get past the junky decor and dank smell the hibachi isnt too bad. Its not worth the money though and definitely nothing to brag about. The braised wings are the best. Last time my family went the lights went out in the entire restaurant for about 3 mins.

I went here for the very first time last night. The food was ok but nothing to run home to talk about. The drinks are strong and good. Our cook was cool. Very laid back place to be to chill.

The best Chinese food I've eaten period. My favorite place to visit. It's pricey but I don't care because it's worth it. I don't often eat from the Japanese or Korean part of the restaurant but when I have it was good as well. The staff is friendly and inviting. If you come a lot they will remember you and your order. I'm very picky about my Chinese food but this place meets all my needs.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
