My coworkers decided they wanted to try something new for lunch because we always go to Jimmy Johns. The menu here had a lot of options so we picked it. Three of us went to pick up the food and the rest stayed. I was the only one that ordered pizza...and somehow I was the only one disappointed lol. My coworkers had the lamb euro and said it was very good along with my other coworker that ordered hot dogs. I guess I ordered the wrong thing --pizza....but I always hear how Chicago pizza is sooo good. Well my pizza was not appetizing at all...but...since...3 ppl in my dept described their food as amazing I'm more than ready to go back and try something else.

Call in your order because they make everything fresh and you will be there waiting your entire lunch break. They are good but pricey! They are always crowded and they also have a outdoor patio of you like eating outside, but the view is of a NTB tire place.. Lol so staying inside may be a better bet , they do have flatscreen tvs all over to entertain you about sports.

I love the pizza here it is some of my favorite. It is thin crust Chicago pizza. Staff is pretty friendly. I also like the fact that they have French dressing.

Traveling back from our Florida vacation and stayed for the night outside of Atlanta craving our Chicago pizza from back home. To our surprise we find Bobby Gs authentic Chicago pizza. Of course our first thought is this for real! Everything we tried is NY style and we were sick of it! So we ordered and went to pick up! Upon arriving we were presented a place completely surrounded by Chicago themed memorabilia from ceiling to floor! Thought I walked into a local sports bar back home! The door print had Richard J Daley mayor on the door. Got back to the hotel eagerly took the first bite!! I can say as a true Chicagoan they got it RIGHT!! amazing to find something this far away with the taste and flavor of back home!! Congrats guys on your Establishment and we will definitely stop by next time we are in town. Just heads up no delivery but well worth picking up!!

They get a 3 for effort and paraphernalia but please don't call this place authentic! The gyro meat is from the frozen section at Walmart. The pizza dough came premade too. Vienna beef hot dogs and polishes were this places saving grace. Don't even get me started on the Italian beef.

Are you a transplant from the Chicago area ? Do you like Chicago Italian beef sandwiches, hot dogs, and pizza ? Then you have to get to Bobby G's. They are the "Home away from home" for dozens of transplanted Chicagoans. Love Chicago sports ? They always have the Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Sox games on multiple big screen TV's. Nothing like watching the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup Playoff games with a full house of Hawks fanatics.

Just a little further South than the South Side. If you are from Chicago, they tell you about this place when you step off the plane. For authentic Chi-town favorites like Italian beefs, pizza, and dogs, it is the only place to go in Atlanta. Good food, good friends, and all the sports you can handle. Those that don't cheer need not attend.

As a former Chicagoan who moved to Atlanta, this is the closest your going to come to an authentic Chicago beef place. The pizza is not deep dish but not to bad (from a native Chicago tastebud perspective). They don't do sweet peppers (ala marinated green bell peppers) but rather put just plain bell peppers on the beef. Still if you're craving a taste of Chicago this is the best around. I still prefer frozen Homerun Inn pizza (sold at Publix) if you want good Chicago thin crust locally.

I used to live near Bobby G's Lindbergh location that vanished, and let's be real, I am up this way maybe 2 times a year. I didn't even realize this place was where it is. My mom was in town and we went to Kohls up this way and were going to get lunch elsewhere when I looked out the window and was like NOPE NOPE STOP. I forget now that being from Chicago means you actively obsess over the Blackhawks so just beware if you're like not a Blackhawks fan that you might throw up in your mouth a little bit when you see Andrew Shaw as a possibility for a number that will sit on your table while you wait for your food. And that Jonathan Toews will be waiting for you when you exit the bathroom. I was so glad to be able to eat here again because nobody around here can top their Italian beef. I always get it with hot giardiniera, and it's amazing. I can't hate on the fries, if you've ever eaten in a Chicago hot dog place crinkle fries are kind of the thing. They're nothing special but they had me all, "aww...I wish we had Portillo's." I can't say anything about any of their other food, but I certainly am here for one thing only. And I would recommend it over anything else, since honestly Chicago thin crust pizza isn't something I miss. It does kind of suck they don't do deep dish but whatever. So it has a slight sports bar feel and I imagine it was a popular place to be watching the Hawks, and every TV was on sports...except one...it was on Fox News in true Milton fashion. If I'm ever up this way now that I know where this is, I'll be back for another Italian beef.

Great Saturday afternoon spot to catch a game and get some bar food. Specialty hotdogs with Sesame seed buns are well prepared and the cheese curds are wicked good. Great place if your not dieting... Great and very wide selection of beers and guilty pleasure appetizer are in abundance. Thinking about buying a a house in the area and this place is definitely on the Pro list for the area it serves.

The folks working here are great, friendly and outgoing. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the food, its just not my thing, but the bf tells me its very good. I don't care overmuch for the decor, the restaurant is dark and crowded, definitely inspires some claustrophobia.

Awesome pizza!! The best I have had in Alpharetta, GA. Way better than Mellow Mushroom. Did a take out and their thin crust pizza was loaded with meat. Tasted awesome.

When you walk into this restaurant, you feel like you are in a local Chicago bar,with tons of pic of mj and Cubs and bears items everywhere. They serve the famous Chicago dogs , Italian beef sandwiches and even pizza. Will definitely come back

This place gets crazy busy with families and adults alike when talking to people in the line that never seems to end people say that "everything is good" so my expectations were set pretty high. Fridays are a 2 dog special for $7.99 this includes a side and drink. As for the hotdogs not sure what all the "hype" is about they are skinny and thin with "no snap" at all. You can get them topped with whatever you want I found the Chicago dog to be bland & underseasoned and the Chili dog to be greasy, by the time I got home dinner was coming back up. The pizza tasty but it doesn't have that 'wow' factor, it is cut into squares instead of slices & be prepared to grab the napkins the more toppings the messier it is to eat. If you are looking for silverware forget it there is plasticware and will not cut through the pizza if you are trying to go hands free. There seems to be some questions about "deep dish pizza" it is available for $2.00 extra if I understood the girl at the counter correctly is is available in two different sizes? If I'm in the area I will visit again but it's not worth driving 25 minutes for.

Never got to try the food. Typical lazy establishment... It was 15 minutes til closing. I called and asked to place a carry out order and was told, "we close in 10min"....no you close in 15 minutes...which means you're still open NOW, right? I was then told if I wanted to pay by credit card and get a slice of pizza, that was all he had left. Lazy, lazy, lazy.

Having lived in Illinois for most of my life, and with multiple family members living in and around the Chicago Suburbs, I will say that I am pretty pleased with the authenticity of how the place not only delivers the atmosphere, but also the food flavor and quality. Only been here once, but we will definitely go back again- the primary reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of their pizza. Not really what I would call Chiacago style deep dish. It had a thick crust, but was more like Pizza Hut style. It was the kids pizza, so I may update the review if we go back and try the adult version of the pizza :) Highly recommend the Italian beef, and the cheese fries were a fun guilty pleasure too. Chicago dogs were good, but not QUITE like being there. . . Looking forward to our next visit!

I was really excited about this place until I arrived 2 hours before a Blackhawks game when I was told to get their at that time and there were literally NO seats available... There were people saving 8+ chairs for people who weren't even there. Incomplete parties are never allowed during the Stanley Cup games up in Chicago for reasons like this. My family and I are huge Blackhawks fans from Naperville, IL and this was a huge disappointment. We had to leave because the owner never even acknowledged us. He would have kept our business if he either A. Prepared for this with an outdoor tent and extra seating or B. Tried to accommodate my family of only 3 people to find a place to watch in their restaurant. Funny how the owner was walking around in a Hawks jersey, supporting the Hawks, and not even attempting to find seats for us or anyone else walking in after us. I bet you he's not even from Chicago. Pretty upsetting. I guess we will just stick to Meehans Sports bar who always has a great experience or traveling up to Chicago for special games like these. Sorry, but this is what you get if you have diehard Hawks fans leaving unhappy. Go Hawks

After growing up in Chicago; we are sometimes desperate for good Chicago food. It was my husband's request to come here for his birthday. I had been here before and hoped that things had improved. The food is just as bad as it was before. If this restaurant was located anywhere in Chicago; it would be out of business within three months!! The pizza crust is some pre-made junk that was completely tasteless. This place makes Cici's look like a treasure. If you a decent pizza, you are better off stopping at Trader Joes and picking up some of their pizza dough and cheese....at least it will have some flavor. Sorry to say, but this place is terrible!

This place is awesome. The Chicago dogs are excellent and the pizza is delicious. Not a huge fan of their chili cheese dogs as the chili lacks spice and flavor. My only complaint is that they give you plasticware to eat the pizza with and it's impossible to get it through the crust without it either breaking or the pizza sliding off of the plate. Great relaxed atmosphere with fun decor.

Was craving Chicago Hot Dogs recently...and this, somewhat, fulfills the bill. It places itself as a "Chicago Eatery"...but...not quite...no deep dish pizza...WHAT??? That IS Chicago style pizza...regardless of what the owner of BobbyG's wants to say... When I say "Chicago Pizza"...what do you think of? Deep dish! Now, fortunately, I was looking for hot dogs...well...those are an "almost" as well. They do use all of the right ingredients...just not enough. To me, the celery salt is the key to a Chicago Hot Dog...and I think that they ration the celery salt! You can taste just a bit of it on the pickle...but that is it...MORE CELERY SALT! Overall, a reasonable facsimile of a Chicago Dog...maybe next time I will try their Italian Beef...but...my guess is that it will be slight off as well...

I contacted Bobby G's to set up a tour for my MOMS Club chapter. We were welcomed immediately and our tour was incredible. We instantly fell in love with Bobby and Kevin and felt at home with them. At the end of the tour, we were given gift cards to return with our families. I've been back to Bobby G's numerous times and each time it better than the last. I've had their hotdogs, their salads, and their incredible thin-crust pizza. You MUST try their pizza... it's the best in the area!!

My 2 best friends are from Chicago and they never shut up about this place. I had to see the hype myself. The original location was next to a gas station but decided to move into a larger location down the street. I am glad they did. Cheap food, decent quality, and northern spirit. Lots of beer and food selections too. The superior ave super is the way to go if you are hungry. For $8, you get an italian sausage, italian beef, meatballs, marinara, and cheese baked on a hoagie. yum. The Italian beef, Vienna Beef dogs, and the pizza are also worthy of mention. If you don't care about your health- this is the place to go! Go Bears!

Went back for pizza to give BobbyG's another try. Ordered what we THOUGHT was deep dish Chicago style pizza. It was very good, but we ended up with thin crust - ALL pizzas have thin crust. I do recommend the pizza over the other menu choices. Small salads were very generous. However, we left because they had hockey game on very loud - while 5 or 6 SEC football games took a back seat.

Went in looking for Chicago Style cuisine and found this to be a sports bar. We ordered pizza and Italian beef sandwiches. The pizza was ok, but it's thin crust. NOT Chicago Style. Italian beef was less than impressive. Looks like a nice place to have beer and watch games.

I moved from Chicago to Atalanta about 6 months ago and was craving food from home. I didn't want to drive all the way to Athens for Al's, so I finally tried Bobby G's. (I really figured it was going to be crap imitation) First off, the atmosphere is perfect. This isn't a bar trying to act like a Chicago bar, this is a Chicago bar. I would call it a very-clean "dive' bar, much like the places I liked to drink in Chicago. The staff actually had a typical Chicago attitude, fast and hospitable, not overly chatty or friendly so I can see why some of the reviews called them "unfriendly" compared to southern hospitality. But I want food, not conversation. We were there for a Blackhawks game and I didn't feel pressured to keep drinking or eating, they didn't mind us just hanging out. A few guys waiting for their pizza wanted a basketball game on and the staff obliged them even amid other diners' objections. Their hot dog is the best Chicago dog (or any style hot dog for that matter) I have had in Atlanta. Their Italian beef (which I wanted soggy) was just kinda wet, but came with a side of juice (and more if I requested it) so that wasn't a huge problem. The giardiniera was HOT and tasty. Not sure if it is made in-house or not. The beef, for my taste, was sliced too thick. I like mine thin as a sheet of paper. The fries were great. Prices are reasonable but the beer, I feel, was a little over priced. I'd like them to have daily drink/food specials. They have a pizza special on Tuesday nights, but I have not tried it. Several reviews stated that it is not TRUE Chicago style-pizza because it isn't deep dish. Chicago has them both and they are two separate beasts. In Chicago, I tended only to eat deep dish when out-of-towners came to visit. Typically, I like my pizza thin and squared.

We have been going here for a couple of years and no issues. However the last visit warranted a review. The meat for the burgers has changed it has a slimy consistency. They redid it, cooking longer, better but still a very weird texture. Something is obviously different. Not sure we will go back.

Being a Chicago transplant I was excited to try out Bobby G's. Thinking stuffed or deep dish pizza has arrived in Alpharetta, I came in smiling. Pretty quickly I realized they didn't have it. When I inquired I was told that only six pizzerias in Chicago offer deep dish. Since I didn't want to argue, I simply conceded the point by adding "yes, the better ones". I have personally had deep dish or stuffed deep dish at Rosatti's, Giordano's, Connie's, Lou Malnati's, Gino's, Pizzeria Uno, Due, Tony's, Edwardo's and Nancy's (which DOES serve stuffed deep dish in Atlanta) which is ten off the top of my head. It would have been a lot better to just say they didn't have it then to have an attitude about it. Some might say that is an authentic Chicago attitude, but I have also had excellent service at all those locations mentioned. We settled on thin crust, which was ok, but definitely not something I would return for. Being a vegetarian I can't vouch for the hot dogs or other carnivorous fare, so look for other reviews to decide for yourself. The decor was Chicago-esque, will give them that. Bobby G's? Fuggedaboutit!

This place is nothing short of AWESOME! I felt transported back to Chicago the moment I bit into my Kedzie ave.combo. So glad I don't have to travel all the way to the Chi for this taste. The pizza was amazing as well as the staff being friendly. I will most def return.

I was in town for a business trip and heard about this place so I decided to try it out since I don't get back home to Chicago too often. The Blackhawks were playing that night and they had it on when all the other local "sports bars" couldn't figure out what NHL was let alone find the right channel. Food was great, I had the combo (italian sausage covered with italian beef) a Chicago staple...i felt like i was back home. I wish i had time go and try everything. They close at 9 but for Hawks fans on game night they gladly stayed open till the end of the game. Staff was extremely friendly. Disregard the few poor reviews from the standard cant be pleased with anything crowd and try this place out! From a native Chicagoan.

Legit Chicago style food, funny and helpful staff, and great tasting food! Not to mention they have everything from chicago style pizza to Chicago dogs to sandwiches and wraps and chicken tenders. Great variety, and the hangings on the walls and ambiance is pretty genuine for what it's going for. They also have clean bathrooms, with the same Chicago decor as the rest of the restaurant, if not more.

This place rocks! The Pizza is what keeps me coming back. We live in Cumming GA but when the mood hits us, we are in the car and heading to Bobby's to Da Works! Always consistent and always delicious! And I'm not a fan of Chicago, just their food and atmosphere.

Best atmosphere for football and the best pizza around. Great Chicago style food. Try the chicken tenders on the pizza. Italian beef sandwich is incredible. You won't find better Chicago style south of the Mason Dixon than at Bobby Gs.

This is a good family sports bar, especially for da bears fans. It is not the deep dish pizza that Chi town is famous for. They have thin crust pizza and a thick crust Sicilian. The kids like the hot dogs. The sandwiches are large portions at a large price. It is a Chicago themed sports bar I was in there one time and they had on documentary about Walter Payton and the blackhawks stanley cup repeats. Many TV's to watch the game and a patio. Ordering is cafeteria style and you seat yourself. Beer and wine available. Friendly staff. WIFI available.

Popular place and decent pizza, but we got over looked for 30 minutes and got the last table outside by a broken heat lamp. Had finished our drinks by the time the food arrived. More drinks meant another wait in line. Might be better to shift to waited tables on weekends instead of counter service. We never really got to relax.

The meatball sub, Italian beef and cheesesteak are GREAT!!!! And the portions are huge, so be very hungry! I recommend looking at the online menu before going the first time because it's hard to decide with such a large menu the first time. And you are standing in a line looking up at a large board on the wall. Pressure! I didn't care for the pizza personally. The super thin crust was just too thin...thin as a piece of paper. If you are a fan of any Chicago sports team, this should be where you go to watch. I try not to go if I know that's what's going on because it's really crowded and the tv's are super loud. I definitely recommend eating here!! Just don't bother drinking the iced tea. I've never quite had tea that tastes like that. And if you're drinking soda, there's only Pepsi products.

I have been all over Atlanta looking for a taste of home and I am hanging my hat here! I opened the door and immediately felt like I was in a eatery on Rush st. The decor is filled to the hilt with Chicago sports memorabilia and pictures of the windy city! Let's cover the food: They have pizza puffs!!! That should say it all right there but I will continue.... the first item I tasted was the pizza puff to put it simply I was in back hanging off of Cicero with the fellas. Next was the combo dipped very tasty but needed a different bun not because of taste but to hold all of the juicy goodness in. The staff was friendly and attentive and one point I went to the restroom to clear some more space and one of the staff had put my food in the trash because she thought I was gone and without me even asking they made me another sandwich (great customer service). I read the reviews while I was making room and the main complaint is that they don't serve deep dish not all pizza from Chicago is deep dish (homerun Inn). I will be back to eat and watch my beloved BEARS on the tube.

My family is still from Chicago and having an authentic Chicago experience in the suburban South (Alpharetta) is fantastic! While I love many items off their menu (Italian Beef sandwich, slaw dogs, etc.), their thin crust pizza is tops! The sausage and pepperoni is perfectly delicious. Couple the pizza with some Old Style Beer (even though this is a WI brew, it reminds me of Chicago and the Cubs!), plus the great images of Chicago that fill the walls - it does not get better unless you are actually there!

For what it's worth, I didn't have the pizza here - but I could tell (as someone who has lived in Chicago) that the slice Philip had wasn't Chicago-style, though he asked for it. Chicago pizza is so deep-dish you eat it with a spoon and what he received was definitely not that. Thin crust with a bit more grease from the pepperoni than he was really comfortable with left him a bit disgruntled. Having said that, I ordered the lamb gyro and it was just fine. No tzatziki on the side, which was disappointing, but otherwise no problems. Tasty and moist with decent pita and fresh veg (the tomatoes were really good). I went to Bobby G's a couple of times when they were in the old location by the gas station on Morris, and was surprised that the new location looks EXACTLY like the old one. Not a bad thing, I was just impressed they could replicate the look of the place so exactly. I would rate this as more 2.5 stars than 3, since "A-OK" is a little stronger than how I really felt about the place, but erring on the side of caution 3 is more befit than 2. Philip however was unimpressed and does not want to return so we will just go to Brooklyn Joe's across the street for pizza (which he DID like).

Lots of flat screens without having to tip! The Chicago sausage with peppers and onions was very good. Awesome cheese curds. Pretty decent pizza but not really Chicago style. Vienna hot dogs which are the real deal.

My least favorite pizza in Alpharetta. I've tried it twice now, both their thin and regular crust. Oh, and don't expect to find a deep dish pizza here. They call their stuff "authentic" Chicago style pizza, but to me it tasted like bad frozen pizza made in a microwave. There is hardly any crust on it at all. The bottom tastes bready and doughy. There is no texture to the pizza at all. I was very disappointed. The cheap plastic plates and silverware didn't help things either. Come here if you want to be surrounded by Chicago sports memorabilia of all kinds. I'll probably return when the Cubs make a run in the post season (that ought to be a while). Would probably be a decent place to watch a game. But otherwise their food isn't impressing me at all.

I spent 30 years in Chicago and ate alot of Chicago style dogs and beef sandwiches during my time there. Bobby G's isn't Al's on Ontario, but it's pretty darn close. Make mine a beef juicy wit' and fries. Go during a Bears game, but DON'T wear the opposing teams jersey!

Today is a sad day for me! I have been going to Bobby G's off and on for almost five years now, and yesterday will be my last day. It all started a couple of years back when I met the owner. I probably introduced a dozen or so people to this place of the first two years it was open. The food was really good back then at their old location and service was ok. More and more time went by and I met the owner Bob Gray and I lost the love of this place. I saw and heard how he talked to his customers and his staff, and I didn't want to spend money at a place that treated people that way, so I didn't go back until yesterday. I now wish is didn't... My wife called in an order to go. All we wanted was a good old hot dog and that's what we got, old bread on a hot dog. They have changed the way the serve their food now. I was shocked because one of the best things I remembered was their hot dogs wrapped in foil that allowed the bun to steam. It seems like they started to cut cost and served it in a container, not the same hot dog I remembered! All and all, it is a great concept, but If the food is bad now on top of service, I just have to say NO to Bobby G's...

As you can see, I'm catching up on my reviews. We just moved back to the metro ATL area, and man and woman, I love the food. BobbyG's is pretty good-- for a hotdog joint. It doesn't really fit the healthy Alpharetta culture, but when you want to ingest some major fattening byproducts, this is the BEST place to do that. I had my first Polish here, and I haven't had one better since. The beers are big and the wieners are bigger, no homo. I also had my first Chicago dog here. So nasty and so good at the same time. It's like doing a large.... never mind.

Chicago style eatery with the ambiance to make you feel that you are eating in Chi-Town, or at least a Chicago fanatic's place. Wide array of items on the menu but not a place to go if you're on a diet. Great dogs and pizza so keep in mind this it the type of food they have. I have tried many items from the menu which all were good. Who else would put nacho cheese on fries... but very tasty as well as the Chicago style hotdogs. Also very large portions so get hungry and stop by. Will be returning when I lose the 5 lbs I gained on my last visit.

I don't really get the obsession that mid-westerners have with Vienna Beef dogs. And geeze, it seems like it is spreading to the south as the few successful hot dog joints in this area seem to feature the Vienna brand. ( And don't talk to me about the Varsity! That is not a dog; it is an eel swimming in pink water) As for me, I will take a NY dog or a Jersey foot long any day. But , I digress. The dog at Bobby G's was fine except it was not really hot. The bun was excellent, however, and much warmer than the dog inside. Yeah that bun was really fresh! So, I am thinking that these little Vienna wieners are just rolling off the grill and sitting around unattended and without a leash for a bit before they get plated. Annie had a really nice, mild sour kraut on her dog, making me think the the Reuben might be pretty good. Kringle fries were good, crunchy, and hot as hell. I love that! I was interested in the pizza until I saw that conveyor oven. When in the area again I might give the Italian beef a try. The place is bright with interesting stuff on the walls, set up as a family friendly sports bar. It was nice seeing dads with little children watching football. together on a Saturday afternoon.

I've only been here during the weekday lunch rush. I dont' know Chicago from a 4-pack of AAA batteries. I'm just a simple southern fella. But I do like me a good hot dog with fresh toppings and some chili cheese fries on the side and they're both great at this place. Be careful - if you order willy-nilly you can spend a small forture on lunch consisting of potatoes and meat fillers. Take note of any specials, appetizer sizing and don't order more than you think you'll eat - this stuff is filling. Service is pretty good, pricing a bit steep but the specials are a good deal and the food is great. Only complaint I have is this dude that always walks around making loud (both by volume and content) remarks at the customers. Whoever you are - please go away. We're here to eat and socialize with ourselves, not you. As for the comments on the rude staff and somewhat mentally insane owner, well I haven't seen any of that but I'm not a 'regular'. Rest assured if I see such disgust, I'll let folks know. This may be a "Chicago" joint but this is the South and when you're here, you will mind your manners or you will not succeed.

I am originally from chicago and this is no chicago pizza. It may be close but the crust and amount of cheese they put on a pizza are not even close. I have never seen a chicago pizza place use a conveyor belt oven. I will have to say that the Italian sausage they use is dead on and prob the only reason I go back. If you are not expecting a true chicago pizza it will prob be good. Prices on food are higher then expected. It is better then most pizza joints around town, just dont go expecting a true thin crust chicago pizza.

It's been many years since I left my hometown outside Chicago but while I was there I didn't know there WAS any kind of hotdog outside of Chicago style, so I will never, ever consider any other type as good. My family and I went to BobbyG's the day of the new opening. It turned out to be a mistake. We'd been to their old location a bunch of times and have had some variability in quality, but overall it was good. This location is suffering horribly from the startup blues. I'm anxious to revisit them after a few weeks (and I would recommend waiting a few to new patrons) to see how things shake out, but our experience was a bit harried. It was a pretty simple order; 2 chicago dogs, fries, and a kids meal. They were VERY, VERY busy, and although the staff was courteous, it was clear they were really stressed out. We decided to get it to go since there was not a single seat available. The order took about 15 - 20 minutes. Part of the issue was that with my common first name (I'm going to start using my son's name...), they got my order mixed up with another person with the same name. Both our orders were correct in the end, but the cook staff assembly line figured one order with my name was done (it was the other guy's), and passed over mine. The young man who was bussing tables noticed me standing and waiting for a long time so went to see what the deal was and figured it out. Although we had an order of fries PLUS the kids fries, we were only given 1 bag. I knew they were out of their league at the time with the volume of customers and the newness of the staff, and by that time I was too hungry to worry about it, I didn't bother waiting for more. Once home, the food was ok given we had to drive it back to north Milton to eat it and fries in particular do not travel well. So, all in all, it was a sub-par experience, but I attribute that to the crush of customers and the new staff. Give it a couple weeks and by October it should be a well oiled machine and I will definitely try again and re-review. (Time passes) As promised, I'm re-reviewing Bobby G's. Family and I went there last night figuring the "startup blues" would be over by now, and indeed they seemed to be. The ventilation issue we noticed last time was gone and the interior was not nearly as smoky. Our order was taken quickly and delivered to our table perfectly. We had to remind the waitress we had a kids meal when she delivered the pizza, but that was a minor issue. We tried pizza this time, and it was better than we expected given our previous visit, so we were very pleased. I prefer the thin and crispy pizza anyway since *EVERYONE* else does that cheese-boat style that you can get anywhere else. I'm upping my rating due to the previous issues having been solved.

Ate here for lunch with a coworker today. I'm pretty new to the whole chicago experience. I have never had the real thing and cant compare. It was really good I have to say. I ordered the italian beef sandwich, with mozarella cheese, onions, peppers, and the hot peppers (cant think of the name) and asked for it dipped. Maybe Im a total noob, but it seemed like a mix of a french dip and philly cheese steak. But it was very good, a little messy with it dipped though. The fiies were standard ore ida variety, nothing exciting there. My only problem is with the price. It was a little expensive. The sandwich, small fries, and a small drink were $14. Seemed a bit much for a place like this. I would stil recommend it.

Candice M. was nice enough to bring me here after a shopping trip to Adli. Ordered a hot dog since it was pretty apparent that was one of the things they specialize in. I'm a simple girl and like a simple hot dog just bun and mustard for this girl. (Yellow mustard NOT spicy mustard) we got it to go and I have to say that during the middle of a UGA game they did a pretty good job of getting our food to us. We took it back to her house and the hot dog was just that a hot dog. I was hoping for the cost of buying almost everything myself it would have been a smudge better. Maybe I should have opted for the polish sausage dog instead. I will say that the bun was AMAZING! Probably one of the best hot dog buns I have ever had it was warm and super soft . Candice M. got the hot Italian beef and gave me the pleasure of trying it! Other than all the peppers she slathered on it DELICIOUS! Good spot for some down and dirty Chicago style food.

If you are looking for great Chicago food, look no further. Chicago Dogs, Italian Beef, Italian Sausage, the infamous Pizza Puff, excellent pizza, are all at Bobby G's. Fresh, authentic, and delicious. The pizza is thin crust (not thick crust or stuffed) Chicago style and is excellent. Neon green rellish on the Chicago Dogs. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive.

I am so excited about their new location! They are moving to the Aldi shopping center across from Target on Hwy 9. It looks much bigger and I can't wait to go there. I just hope they add delivery! I love, love, love their thin crust pizza. It's really thin yet doesn't get soggy from a decent amount of sauce. Nothing worse than a pizza without the sauce. My in-laws are Chicago natives and always tell me how much better the food is in Chicago. They were the ones to find Bobby G's and it passed their Chicago food test.

No DEEP DISH?!? That is EPIC Failure. You can't serve "Chicago" Pizza and not serve deep dish. How about instead calling this BobbyGs Chicago thin crust pizza. It is true that Chicago has a unique thin cracker crust Pizza, but the Deep Dish was also developed in Chicago is has an almost cult appeal. They have a pretty good menu, great beers & a nice sports bar atmosphere (TV's everywhere). I will be back to try the deep dish pizza. Oh, if you are a Chicago Bear fan you will love what they have done with the place.

Nice place, good atmosphere, staff was friendly. This place came by recommendation from a fellow New Yorker who told me I had to check this place out. He really likes it and frequents it. I also noticed that he is not alone in his opinion, because a nice sized line developed quickly during lunch. I went with my wife for lunch. We split a Rueben sandwich. Got sides of fries and onion rings. Sides were ok, but the sandwich wasnt that good. The corned beef was tough, and we both agreed we didn't like it very much. Actually I ended up taking the corned beef off, and eating a kraut melt with Russian lol... That said, I am willing to go back and try something else out. The pizza was recommended to me, so maybe I will roll with that next time. If it's good, I will up my star rating!

I would have given them two stars but it dropped to one for reasons which should be self-evident in this description. I was very excited about this place because I'm from the midwest and love Chicago-style food. When we wheeled up to the place I was really excited because of the long line. I figured, if there's a long line there must be great food, right? WRONG. Bobby G's is a chain and exemplifies why I hate chains....the food was very generic and not very tasty. I had the Reuben which just served to make me full and slightly queasy. The entire experience was destroyed when the following occurred: My fellow diner ordered an Italian Beef sammich and found some sort of weird, rounded piece of translucent plastic, about the size of a quarter, in his meal. Besides being disgusted by the foreign object, I was even more put off by the reaction from the staff. Instead of apologizing or even offering something as an apology, they merely took the sandwich back, made a new one and brought it out to him. Wow! NO customer service whatsoever. Not only will I never go back, I'll be certain to tell this story to anyone who even mentions going there.

Kept it pretty standard and got a couple of hot dogs, one with kraut and spicy mustard and another with slaw. My wife got a meatball parm sandwich and it was good as well. The bread was toated nicely as to not get soggy in all of the sauce. Saw several people ordering Chicago and NY style pizzas that looked good as well. I'll be back for sure.

New location, same taste. If I ever go to Chicago based on my knowledge of this place I would think that all food there is fried. The place is not bad a little over the top with all the Chicago memorabilia. My co-worker thought it was the best Philly cheese steak he's had since leaving Philly. So, last week I had to stop at my job to pick up something and Bobby G's is right across the street. I had my daughter with me and we decided to try this place out. I had the Chicken Gyro and she had the mild Hot Wings. Chicken Gryo...mmm wasn't that impressed. I mean, I loved the big chunks of chicken breast but it wasn't enough in there. I asked for no onions...and got onions. There were 3 thick slices of tomato in there too...and uhh...nah...didn't like that either. The wings were good though. I'd make sure to get the Chicago hot flavor because the mild wasn't gonna get it, for my tastes. There was a table with a team of tennis players and they were eating pizza...I wasn't impressed with how it looked...but hey, I'm from the North East...and nothing beats N.Y. style pizza, for me. A co-worker of mine was going there everyday for their hot dogs though. I don't eat red meat...so can't verify that.

Bobby G's has the best thin crust pizza ever made, I shared a pepperoni with my little one last night. My husband had the itallian beef which was melt in your mouth fantastic. My teenager had the burger and a side of cheese fries , my little one and I kept stealing her yummy cheese fries because they were so good. We moved here 3 months ago and this is our 4th time comming to Bobby G's, they have never disappointed us so far.

Ran across Bobby G's on Hwy 9. Stopped in mid-afternoon to find a fairly small restaurant/sports bar atmosphere adorned with all things Chicago. It was quiet and there were a lot of staff milling smartly about in the open kitchen. Ordered a Chicago dog at the counter and a local draft beer. The beer came in a nicely frosted mug and I tucked into a booth to watch a little sports on the many tv's. My dog came shortly after. It was as ordered... a nice soft bun with a good dog and all the correct accompaniments. Decided to return the following week but closer to the lunch hour. The staff was milling about smartly again waiting for the one person who was taking orders to send in the tickets. The order taker was graciously walking two women, who obviously had no idea what kind of Chicago food they wanted to eat, through the wall mounted menu while three of us patiently, at least at first, waited in line to place our orders. The women finally decided on their orders and proceeded to modify it in every way possible such that it was as far from Chicago as Miami. The order taker seemingly unaware of his, now five, other customers who were staring longingly in the kitchen as they had long since decided what their empty stomachs craved, proceeded to engage these same two women in a conversation about the Chicago Bears and their favorite NFL teams. Yours truly, and two other line standers, turned around and headed for the door while the order taker and kitchen staff continued to mill about... No one even noticed we'd left... Italian Beef-less... What makes this slightly befuddling is that this is not a new restaurant just a new location...

First of all, the only Chicago Style Pizza I knew of was Deep Dish. I was so disappointed to find out I had ordered Meat on a Cracker - they called it "Da Chicago" with Italian Beef, Sausage, Onions, and Peppers. I have to say the beef and sausage were greatly lacking in flavor and had it not been for the little green peppers, there would have been no flavor at all. We were surprised to see our pizza come first and our son's meal wasn't forthcoming. Then the staff informed us that my son's pizza had been "over-cooked" so they would have to make a new one. By the time his pizza came (A kids meal Pepperoni Pizza), I wondered where the rest of his pizza was.... He's 8 years old and although he doesn't ask for much, the size of his slice looked like it came for a two year old toddler.... totally unsatisfactory at $4.99 for a kid's meal. Overall, I am not a fan of cracker crust pizza. I am totally disappointed as I have lived in Chicago and really wanted the experience. But I learned a valuable lesson. Unless it says deep dish, it's just an excuse to eat some meat. One last note: $17.99 for a 12 inch pizza - waaa'aay over priced.

Great place for kids and tons of Chicago memorabilia. TV viewing decent for watching the game while waiting for your food. We had a thin-crust pizza that was cut into squares and had very good flavor. The menu offers all the traditional Chicago favorites including hot dogs and deep dish. Set up is self service, but the staff was very friendly and attentive.

I took a trip up to Bobby G's to watch the Bears-Packers game and to see how authentic their Italian Beef was. The place (as expected) was packed because of the game but we were able to sneak into a booth. The decor of the place is amazing... authentic Chicago memorabilia entirely covers the walls, including the bathrooms. Many of the workers there have Chicago accents and being from Chicago myself it made me feel home away from home. I was disappointed with the Italian beef. It didn't have much flavor and the sweet peppers did not taste fresh at all. My friends ordered a pizza which looked and smelled great though. The place has plenty of TVs but they are all around 22-25" and there's no big screen, so we all had to crane our necks to get a decent view of the game. The place would be a lot better off investing in a big screen and rethinking the layout, but that's just my two cents. The company was great, the service was great but I was hoping to find a place in the Atlanta area with Italian Beef that somewhat compares to Portillo's but my search continues...

Love this place! We have been loyal customers for many, many years and we always bring new friends to Bobby's! My kids love the delicious hot dogs, my husband enjoys the juicy, Italian Beef and I enjoy the Polish sausage with raw onion and ketchup. This is one of our favorite restaurants because the staff is always friendly and the owners really care about your experience. If we happen to come back twice that week, we will then order a large, crispy, pepperoni pizza, because that is something we all love to share. The many, large tvs keep us entertained and the patio is big enough for our soccer parties.

This time when I visited the staff seemed very disorganized and it took about 20 minutes to get an order to go. We didn't order pizza mind you, but hot dogs and a sandwich. Hmmm. I spent the first 34 years in the south side of Chicago, and spent the better part of the years since 1993 finding good pizza in Atlanta. Bobby brings me a pizza that reminds me of home. So far...the absolute BEST (in my opinion of course) Chicago style pizza. Thin crust, real sausage and cut in SQUARES!!!!! Bobby's hot dogs are great too. Good beer specials and we wish Trivia was not cancelled, as it gave us a reason to go to Bobby G's. Nothing fancy, just good pizza and beer.

If you try not to compare it to legendary Chicago establishments, the food is actually pretty good! Remember, it's in Georgia. It's not Johnnie's Beef, Portillo's, or Al's. However, the hotdogs are good. The Italian Beef are good. The pizza, for what it is, is also good. It's not Chicago style as far as deep dish. It's thin crust. It's a well made thin crust too! Don't get confused with their Sicilian being deep dish. It's not. The deep dish takes too long to make. Their beer is decently priced. $3.50 for a pint of Fat Tire. The atmosphere is cool. It would be nice if they had a bar. Another plus - they sell the sport peppers by the jar. Those are hard to find. The giardiniera isn't as good as you can find in Chi-town, but it's still pretty good. Prices are good as well. I have been there twice and I will return. It's a nice addition to the area. Hopefully, they will open one in Woodstock!

Truly Authentic Chicago-style food! The hot dogs and beefs are great. The Gyros are excellent as well. You can't miss with anything on the menu. The walls are lined with Chicago-themed memorabilia. One of the pictures is a snapshot of the interior of the downtown Chicago location of Portillo's, which has the best Italian Beef on this planet. I found that amusing. But if I can't be back home in Chicago, I'm glad to have Bobby G's across the street from my office, I feel like I have been blessed. For most people though, this is a crappy place to put a restaurant, out in the middle of nowhere, seriously, its on a side road where few people see it. But hey I get to enjoy it, and you should too, so here's to many years of success for Bobby G's!

I love this place. It is located next to a gas station, which seems a little unusual, but when you walk inside, it just seems so "local". The place is not very big and is always crowded. As far as I know, they don't deliver, but the atmosphere and food is great, so it should not be classified in the same league as a delivery pizza place like Domino's or Pizza Hut. If you really must take your pizza home, then you can drink an ice cold beer on draft while you wait for the pizza to be cooked. The sauce and cheese is unique compared to other pizza places I've been to. Overall, this place is definitely recommended and is my certainly my local pizza choice.

I have passed this place several times and just never went in. I went the other day and was pleasantly surprised, the inside has great atmosphere. You order up front and they bring it to your table, they also have a ton of TV's and serve Yuengling Beer. I had the Beef Sandwich dipped and it was awesome, justt like in Chicago.Went back a few days later on Friday and we got the thin crust pizza, it was very good, it reminded me of Nicks in Chicago. It is right by the Fry's and accross the street from the Super Target.

This is my most favorite Pizza place in the Alpharetta area - this is as far away from the Pizza Huts and Domino's as you can get! I love the thin crust so that it's the toppings that make it not all the pizza dough - which is real! Not that frozen bread dics that the chains have. I'm not so much a sports fan - but there sure is a lot to look at if you stay in. It is not a cheap pizza - so you can't get 2 for $10 here - if you get about 5 toppings on a large pizza expect to pay about $25 - we drink beer/wine and it's usually a $35 bill. Pricey for pizza - but I'm a yankee and refuse to eat that chain pizza and have no issue paying the price for something that I so thoroughly enjoy - I love heating up the left overs in my toaster oven - even better the 2nd day!

We like it because it's different. We always get the Vienna beef dogs or Polish sausage. Pizza and salad was satisfactory when I was pregnant and my husband wanted a hot dog.

The food might be good but service sucks ass. The line is forever long, not sure why it takes 6 hrs to to take someones hot dog order. We had nowhere to sit b/c seating is limited during football season when all the fat-ass Chicago bears fans are here. Not really sure worth my wait anymore. When we finally got our order the bun was soggy like it had been sitting in a window for an hr. The owner was just screaming at everyone that came in, like this poor dallas cowboys fan. he was so annoying Maybe he was drunk or something. Mike's in sandy springs is way better. Perhaps Bobby gs is not like that every day but that was enough for me not to go back there anymore.

I had a 50% off coupon from myfaveats.com so I thought even if I would up not liking it it wouldn't be a big deal, but it was delicious! There's plenty of TVs, the food we had was very good, and the service was great. If you haven't been here before you order at the register and then they bring you the food. There were 4 of us. We had the thing 14" thin crust pepperoni and several different styles of Italian sandwiches: The Jardonnaire and regular. The Jardonnaire is very spicy; while the regular one was very tasty. The thin crust pizza is the type where the cheese and toppings goes all the way to tend of the crust and the pie is cut into little squares. It was very good and is a nice change of pace from NY style pizza. A pitcher of Miller Light was only $12. The prices on the food aren't expensive, but they aren't cheap either. Pretty standard for Alpharetta/Milton. Definitely will head back there regauardless of whether I have a 50% off coupon or not.

My wife is born and raised in Chicago and absolutely loves Bobby G's! It is a authentic Chicago joint. I recommend the Chicago pizza with Italian beef and Hot peppers ! It's a great place to watch any Chicago sports teams on TV but you better get there early it fills up fast! The other thing I really like about The restaurant is the owner is always there and engaging with customers really gives it a neighborhood feel.

Came here for lunch one day with my co-workers because they knew I was a Chicago native and tried their "Chicago dog." It was better than I expected. When you walk in, you can't help but notice all the Chicago décor. It is mad chaos in there with every inch of the wall covered in "everything Chicago," but it works for them. They are known to be a "Chicago" eatery in ATL so it makes sense and you can't help but remember all the Chicago sports stars and history when checking out the wall art. The service here was efficient and decent. Everyone was super friendly and your food is brought to your table. It's definitely no "Portillo's" but I was pleased with my "Chicago" dog and crinkle cut fries. It's a great place to check out during your lunch break if you work in the Alpharetta area because you can definitely make a visit and return within an hour or so. They have a large size patio out front by their front entrance and they've got plenty of booths and tables for dining in. You place your order at the front and you're given a number to take to your table. Good energy at this restaurant and the food is what you'd expect. I also heard that during football season, all the Chicago natives who live in Atlanta gather at Bobby G's to watch the games so this is spot to visit if you're interested in meeting other fellow Chicagoans living in the south. I look forward to future visits here when craving a juicy hot dog or Italian beef in the near future.

Bobby's is THE BEST. I moved here from Chicago two years ago and was so happy to find a place where I can watch my beloved Blackhawks and Bears. It does gets packed with crazy Chicago super fans on game days... and that's why I love it!! I've celebrated two Stanley Cup wins here and could've sworn I was back home in Chicago. The pizza and Chicago dogs are on point. Pizza is easily one of the best pies in the ATL area. The owner and staff have all become great friends, everyone is so welcoming and friendly. If you are a Chicago transplant, this place is a must visit. And if you're a native Georgian, this is your opportunity to experience a little bit of the Windy City!

So, I'm out shopping with the hubby tonight and guess where we end up? Yes, you guessed it . My husband ordered the beef philly with cheese and french fries. I thought his meat looked as if had been sitting around a while and it was too salty. The fries were the cheap krinkle cut fries that you can get out of the Wal-mart freezer. I never thought that I would say this but they were the driest fries I have ever tasted. Weird! I prefer natural fresh fries with the skin on so these just didn't do it for me. I ordered the wings, (baked with a little ranch on the side). The wings came out very light in color, (like a saltine cracker) and had absolutely no seasoning. I just believe that all foods should have a basic layer of seasoning so that they are able to stand on their own and not rely on the side sauces. These wings were very bland and the sauce was not edible because it was a poor generic brand and I just did not care for the taste. Ranch sauce should either be Hidden Valley or a homemade recipe. Don't cut corners because your product will suffer. I ordered 6 wings but since these aren't whole wings, you literally get 3 wings for $7. You do the math. My husband's super salty sandwich with plastic fries was $10 . It is agreed, we will not be returning for an encore. Bobby, take a little more pride in your food, think fresh and well-seasoned, not fast and over-priced. All of Chicago is weeping tonight :(

Portillo's of Atlanta? Well, maybe not, but close enough. If you're a Chicago transplant craving that Italian beef this is the spot to go. It is about as close as you will get to the Portillo family vienna beef, and it is damn good. Gotta get it dipped! Plus they have the crinkle fires cooked super crispy just like good ol' Portillo's. As many other reviewers have said, this is a little piece of Chicago in Alpharetta. Lots of TV's, lots of Bears and Hawks memorabilia. But seriously...Italian beef, people. So good. Since it's right by my current client, I'm here at least every other week!

Whenever I'm in Atlanta I make sure to stop by Bobby G's love the food it's always great...Bobby you really should open another location in Greenville sc..this town is rapidly growing and all we do out here is eat...

The food was good. My son loved his hotdog and my Chicago beef sandwich was excellent. Would have been nice if my daughters burger was hand formed. Man taking order was so soft spoken it made ordering difficult. Would have been 4 stars otherwise. Yes, first visit.

I know it's The Game. Tonight. Bobby himself stated, let's have fun, be good to each other and cheer for our Hawkes. The place is packed to the walls, and some idiot patron has decided to play beach ball volleyball in a small, very crowded bar/eatery. Many people's drinks have been knocked over, and are not happy. This is Not Cool! When I brought this issue to Otto on the mgmt team, he thought it was great and laughed. I am done with this place. I know it's sports and finals. I come here for the atmosphere, and eats. However, I don't appreciate having multiple drinks I spent my hard earned money on, spilt and mgmt not giving a damn. It's not too much to ask to have mgmt provide a save environment to eat and cheer on my sports team. You have left me no choice, but to let you know public ally since my attempt to talk with mgmt were mocked. Not happy former customer.
